Title: Life in Monochrome (Tentative Title)

Inspired by: Tokyo Ghoul by Sui Ishida, The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, Vampire mythology, and Beyond Good and Evil by Friedrich Nietzsche.

Summary (Subject to change):

Humans are a fearful race even when they have no reason to be. Countless wars have been fought over their fear and greed, but what would happen when they are given a good reason to be afraid? Specters are a humanoid race of beings that, much like the legendary Vampires, require human blood to survive, lest they starve. However, their bodies cannot digest anything else.

Instead of reaching some sort of compromise to promote peace, Humans had hunted down the Specters until a mere thousand of them remained alive. For centuries, the survivors lived in fear of discovery and have done their best to hide away from the cruel world that they were born in. When one young boy witnessed the human authorities kill his only relatives just because they were Specters, his heart froze and his gaze had become dead to the world.

Will the young man find it in himself to rise above his horrid conditions or will he lose himself within his own tragedy? Can a certain human show him that a path to peace is possible?
