Chapter 3
The Aftermath
When Anna awoke the next morning, she went to Elsa's study where she usually was in the morning. Much to her surprise, Elsa wasn't there. Come to think of it, Anna didn't remember her returning from the night before. Instantly growing worried, she asked the servants if they had seen her, but they hadn't. Anna roamed the castle, searching every room for her sister. It wasn't like Elsa to just disappear without telling her. Something was wrong. Anna didn't know what, but she could sense it in her bones. She and Elsa had this spiritual connection that whenever something felt right or wrong, they both could feel it. This was one of those moments, and it was definitely a bad feeling. Anna found Kristoff in the stables with Sven and informed him of Elsa's disappearance. Kristoff showed concern as well, also believing that it wasn't like Elsa to just run off. The two rode into town together, asking townsfolk if they had seen Elsa.
As she opened her eyes to the burning sunlight, Elsa felt like she had been hit in the head with a hammer. Groggily, she tried sitting up, but it felt like she had no control over her body. It took a few minutes for her vision to clear, but once it did, she saw that she was in an alleyway in the town. Looking down, she slowly realized that she was naked! Her face, chest, and legs were covered in dirt, along with a strong stench. Turning her head, Elsa saw that she was lying on a trash heap in the middle of the alleyway. Fear suddenly gripped her, as she tried to remember how she got here in the first place. She remembered walking home with the eggs, accidentally breaking them, meeting a man who took her back to his place. He told her that he would give her some more eggs. After that, her memory was hazy, and Elsa couldn't remember much of what happened next. The image of the man standing before her stood out, however. In this image, she was on the ground with the man standing over her. Upon realizing what had occurred, Elsa burst into tears. Even though her head was aching in agonizing pain, Elsa couldn't stop thinking about what had happened to her. This man had…. violated her. Elsa looked down at her vagina, running two fingers around the lips. It appeared swollen and bruised. She shook violently in fear. She had been raped by this man, and then dumped in an alleyway like a piece of discarded trash. Elsa tried to stand up, but her legs were too weak to move. She tried to push herself off the ground, but she didn't have the strength to do so. Looking down the alley, she could see people walking past her. If she called out, maybe they would hear her.
"Help," she cried, but even her voice sounded weak.
The people continued walking by, not noticing her.
"Help me," she cried out again.
Summoning what little strength she had, Elsa stretched several fingers towards the main road, sending out a sheet of ice. Hopefully, someone would notice.
After Anna and Kristoff finished speaking with the shopkeeper who had sold Elsa the eggs, Anna grew even more worried. Elsa had bought the eggs, but something must have prevented her from coming home. Running ahead of Kristoff and Sven, she gazed down the road, moving her eyes side to side in order to spot Elsa. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed what appeared to be ice, growing on the cobblestones. It was the middle of summer, so it was impossible for there to be ice. There could only be one explanation.
Anna signaled to Kristoff and Sven over to where the ice was. When they arrived, Anna looked down the alleyway, and saw Elsa lying in the trash heap.
"Elsa!" Anna cried.
She ran to her older sister's side, grabbing her in her arms. By now, Anna was bursting with tears as well, but not because she had found Elsa, but because clearly something terrible had happened to her. Anna brushed the dirt off of Elsa's face with her dress, all the while calling to Kristoff to bring the Royal Guard. As she cradled Elsa in her arms, Anna could tell that she was suffering.
"Elsa! What happened?"
Elsa looked up at Anna, who was a sight for sore eyes after what she endured. Elsa closed her eyes again; letting the tears pour down. She couldn't bear to say it, but she had to.
"He…raped me," Elsa whimpered.
Anna looked at Elsa in horror. She couldn't believe it. Instantly, shock turned to disgust, and disgust turned to anger. Anna demanded to know the man responsible for such a heinous act.
"Who is it, Elsa? Who is the bastard who did this to you?"
Elsa didn't want to think about it. It was already horrible enough as it was, but she did her best to think back to remember the man's name. It took a while, but eventually she recalled him introducing himself.
"Stefan," she whispered. "He said his name was Stefan."
Once Elsa was escorted back to the castle, Anna ordered the knights of Arendelle to search for the man named Stefan. Throughout the course of the day, the men interrogated anybody they saw about any information regarding Stefan. The local blacksmith provided the most helpful hint. He said that Stefan was a former worker of his, but he let him go to his alcohol abuse. From what he remembered; Stefan usually like to spend time at the local tavern. True enough, the knights found Stefan at the bar, drinking ale. He admitted that he was Stefan, and when he was told that he was under arrest for the rape of Queen Elsa, he couldn't help but snicker.
"That bitch was real fine," he snickered. "Don't kid yourselves. She was probably down for it."
A/N: What kind of punishment do you think Stefan should receive? Next chapter will focus on the first part of Elsa recovering from her ordeal.
