Chapter 5
Nightmares
It had been over a month since Stefan was sentenced to life in prison. Even though he was behind bars, it did little to soothe Elsa. She was still traumatized by the ordeal. So much so, that Anna brought in a counselor for her to talk to. These sessions generally went the same. The counselor asked Elsa a variety of questions, some of which Elsa didn't even answer. The counselor continued to remind her that talking about things helps, but Elsa knew that he couldn't understand. He hadn't been brutally raped by a man. Elsa could still feel him inside of her, thrusting in and out. Just the thought of it was enough to make her vomit. In fact, she had done so multiple times over the last few weeks. As she sat in her chair, curled up in a blanket, the counselor waited for Elsa to answer the question that he had just asked.
"Elsa? Did you hear what I said?" he asked.
Elsa nodded, but still didn't want to answer. It was too painful a question. Do you still think about him? Of course, she still thought about him. Every night, when she closed her eyes, she could picture his face, leering at her. It was an image that wouldn't go away. The last thing Elsa wanted was to talk about it.
"I can tell that you don't want to answer my question," the counselor said. "Would you like to be done for today?'
Elsa nodded, but didn't make eye contact.
"Ok. How about we schedule another talk for this Thursday?"
"Fine," Elsa whispered.
The counselor left Elsa alone in her room. Once he was gone, there was a small amount of pressure lifted from her. She knew that the counselor meant well, as did all the people who were trying to help her, but the pain wouldn't leave her. She decided to walk the hallways, something she recently found the courage to do again. As she wandered down the west hallway, she saw a large portrait of her father on the wall. Staring at this portrait, caused Elsa to feel shame and humiliation. She was the Queen of Arendelle! She had sex outside of marriage! Of course, it wasn't on her own accord, but she still broke a sacred sacrament! The portrait of her father stared back at her, as if it were judging her. A part of Elsa knew that she shouldn't feel this way, but she couldn't help it. When she returned to her room, she laid back down on the bed, staring at the ceiling. She could hear her heart beating loudly in her chest. It sounded as if it were about to explode. Before too long, Elsa found herself falling asleep. Of course, this sleep always brought with it another nightmare.
Elsa was lying on the floor, completely naked. She couldn't move her arms or legs. Looking up, she saw Stefan standing over her. His penis was in plain sight for her to see. Elsa opened her mouth to scream, but no words came out. Stefan laughed at her attempt to cry for help. Tears began flowing from her eyes, as Elsa tried with all her might to move and scream, but to no avail. Stefan reached out a large, hairy hand, and cupped one of her breasts with it. He tweaked the nipple in his fingers, causing Elsa to flinch on the inside.
"Such succulent mounds," Stefan hissed. He cupped his other hand around Elsa's other breasts, doing the same thing.
Back in the real world, Elsa tossed and turned, but couldn't seem to wake up. In the dream, Stefan moved his hand down to her vagina, putting his fingers inside.
"Nice and wet. Just like I like it."
By now, Elsa was in such a state of terror, she thought shew as going to die. Stefan positioned himself on top of her, beginning his descent. At that moment, Elsa woke up, screaming. Ice covered the entire room, before causing it to shatter to a thousand pieces. The noise was enough to wake up the entire castle. Anna quickly ran to Elsa's room, barging through the door.
Elsa's room was totally wrecked. Fragments of ice covered the entire perimeter, her belongings were destroyed, the window had been shattered, and Elsa lay on the bed with her eyes bolted wide open.
"Elsa!" Anna cried, running over to her sister.
"No!" Elsa, screamed, backing away. "Don't touch me!"
"It's me, Elsa! I'm not going to hurt you."
It took a minute for it to register in Elsa's mind, but once she saw Anna's form, she started breathing slower.
"Anna, it…happened again."
"Ok, let's talk about it," Anna began to say.
"No! I don't want to talk about him. Please…just leave me."
Anna wasn't going to let Elsa push her away that easy. She gently wrapped her arms around her, pulling her closer.
"You're not going to shut me out on this one, Elsa. I'm here for you. I'm going to get you through this."
Even though Elsa was used to the cold, she was shivering, crazily. Her teeth chattered together, her hands shook, and her eyes were bloodshot red from all the crying. Despite Stefan being sentenced to life in prison, the ordeal was far from over. Anna continued to hold Elsa, whispering comforting thoughts in her ear. This was a hell of a battle that Elsa was fighting. It would take a long time for her to get over this. The best thing she could do for her was to be there for her.
"Elsa, it's going to be alright. I won't let anyone hurt you," Anna promised.
Elsa barely heard the words. Her mind was still reeling from the nightmare she just had. When Anna kissed her on the cheek, she recoiled in fear.
"Don't do that," she cried. "That's what he did."
Anna cursed herself for that. She should have known better. While she continued to hold Elsa, she looked out the shattered window, feeling the cool air that blew inside. Anna knew that the nightmare was far from over. Stefan had left a scar on Elsa. A scar that would surely take a very long time to heal. If it ever healed.
