Chapter 4
Which witch is which
Ben was in the generator room, the generator had stopped working, so, he decided to give it a charge. Ben fiddled with the Omnitrix and slammed down the core. In a flash of green light, he was replaced by a new alien. This one was a large, slim, muscular, yellow and black Sasquatch with green eyes, four grey fingers, three grey toes, lightning bolt shaped horns and a green and white belt with a green hourglass symbol at the belts centre.
"SHOCKSQUATCH!" He shouted in a Canadian accent.
Kou: This here is Shocksquatch. He is a Gimliopithecus; a race of electrical aliens from the planet Pattersonea that look like Sasquatches, WEE!
"Hmmm, now let's see" he said. He then placed his hands on the generator and parts of his fur began to stand on end as he released a mighty jolt of electricity. The jolt then kick started the generator.
"Eh, well, that should do the trick eh" said Shocksquatch to himself. He then tapped his Omnitrix symbol and turn back into Ben. The lights then came back on. As he left the generator room, he saw Moka and Kurumu waiting for him.
"At least this saves the school board from hiring a repair guy" said Kurumu.
"You know", said Ben. "If my Grandpa Max was here, he'd be saying something along the lines of, 'the Omnitrix is not a toy' or some shit like that".
"He said that a lot when you were younger?" Asked Kurumu.
"He still does now" said Ben. Ben's phone then began to ring, so he answered it.
"Hello" he said.
"Hello Ben" said the voice on the other side.
"Oh, hi Glitch", said Ben. "Is there any situations in the school at the moment?".
"All seems quiet at the moment", responded Glitch. "But, you do need to head for science class and-". Glitch was interrupted by the sound of a large explosion.
"What was that?" Asked Moka.
"I don't know", said Ben. "But from my experience, when something goes 'boom', it usually means villain attack". They ran outside to see that the smoke as coming from one of girl's dorms. They ran up to the second floor and kicked the door open.
"I don't know who or what you are", said Ben reaching for his Omnitrix. "But come out with your hands, claws, wings or tentacles up".
"Wait! *cough* *cough* hold it!", coughed a female voice. "I'm not an alien *cough* *cough*".
"Hold on", said Ben as he activated his Omnitrix. "Just let me turn into an alien and-".
"Ben, I got this" said Kurumu. She then deployed her wings and used them like a fan to blow away the smoke. When it cleared, they saw who the voice belonged to. It was a young girl about the same age that Ben was when he first found the Omnitrix. She was in a brown uniform, a brown cape, a brown witch hat and brown hair that went to her chin. In her right hand was a wand with a love heart shaped top with a pentagram inside.
"Oh crud *cough* *cough*, note to self", she said. "Less dragon's tail and more newt's liver".
"Hey, aren't you Yukari Sendo?", asked Moka. "The girl who skipped a few grades".
"Uh, yeah", said Yukari. "Oh, damn it. This is the second time I almost blew up my dorm. If this keeps up, I'm gonna be forced to do my spell experiments in the basement".
"Wait, second" said Ben.
"Yeah, first time I sent a girl to the nurse's office" said Yukari.
"Jesus, I'm surprised you weren't expelled" said Kurumu rubbing the back of her head.
"Nah", said Yukari. "Ms. Retsac talked them out of it".
"Ms. Retsac?" Asked Moka.
"That's me". Ben and the others looked to their left to see a girl who looked in her early 20's with dark lavender hair and wearing a dark purple women's business suit was standing there.
"I'm Ms. Retsac", she said. "I teach magic here".
"Well, it's nice to meet you Ms. Retsac" said Moka with a bow.
"The pleasure's all mine", said Ms. Retsac. "Come on Yukari, it's time for class".
"Okay. See ya guys" said Yukari as she followed Ms. Retsac.
"Well, she seems nice" said Moka. But Ben wasn't so sure.
"Is something wrong Ben?" Asked Kurumu.
"There's something off about Ms. Retsac that doesn't sit well with me" said Ben.
"Relax Ben", said Moka. "If she was suspicious, do you really think they would've hired her?".
"All the same", said Ben. "I better keep an eye on her".
"Not to interrupt", said Kurumu. "But, shouldn't we be getting to class?".
"Oh Shit!", shouted Ben. "I forgot. Let's make like a jackhammer and hit the road". They then ran as fast as they could. But, they were unaware of Ms. Retsac looking back at them.
Fortunately, Ben and the others had just finished science class when they heard the sound of screaming.
"What was that?" Asked Ben.
"Let's find out" said Kurumu.
"RUN!" Shouted a fat student.
"IT'S OUT OF CONTROL!" Shouted a skinny student with glasses.
"SAVE YOURSELVES!" Shouted a student with brown hair. Ben and the girls looked to their left to see a creature that moved like a gorilla made completely out of stone and had purple lines on it.
"That looks familiar" said Moka.
"That's one of Charmcaster's rock monsters" said Ben. He then fiddled with the Omnitrix and slammed down the dial. Inside the green light, his body was covered in orange fur as his legs shrank and his arms grew longer, looking like a mix between a Gorilla and a dog. He had tiny fur spikes on it's back and it's mouth had and underbite with black lips. Around his neck was a green and white collar with an Omnitrix symbol on it.
Kou: Talk about letting the dogs out. Wildmutt here is a Vulpimancer from the planet of Vulpin. These guys have the strength of gorillas and the tracking sense of dogs. Speaking of sense, since they don't have eyes, they have to rely on hearing and smell to navigate their way through the day. Said sense of smell is so strong, they can pick up a scent of perfume from a football field away, WEE!
"Wildmutt?", asked Kurumu. "I thought Four-Arms would be better".
"Rrrraowr" growled Wildmutt. Wildmutt then jumped into action and pounced on the stone creature. But then, two more stone creatures then appeared on his back.
"Back off ya stone faced freaks!" Shouted Kurumu. She then smacked them over the head with a table and then they turned to look at her.
"Uh-oh" said Kurumu. They then tried to pounce on her, but she flew up into the air and dodged it.
"Ha! Try and get me now!" Shouted Kurumu. One of the creatures then jumped up and grabbed Kurumu's leg.
"OH! COME ON!" Shouted Kurumu.
"Where did these things come from?" Asked Moka as she was running from the last creature.
"HEEL!" Shouted a voice. The stone creatures then stopped what they were doing and walked until they were standing side-by-side and then all sat down. Yukari then showed herself and had her wand raised in the air. The wand was glowing a pinkish white as well. The stone creatures then flashed a pinkish white before they disappeared.
"How did you do that?" Asked Kurumu pulling her sock back up.
"It's my magic", said Yukari. "I can control them using my wand".
"You call having them attack us 'CONTROL'!" Shouted Kurumu.
"Raowr" growled Wildmutt.
"Give me a break", said Yukari. "This is my first time controlling these stone creatures". The Omnitrix symbol the flashed red and Wildmutt turned back into Ben.
"Haven't seen monsters like that since me and my team back in the US defeated Charmcaster", said Ben. "Not to mention these things are supposed to be from a place called-".
"Ledger Domain" finished Yukari.
"Yeah, Ledger Domain", said Ben. "That's the *long gasp* how do you know about Ledger Domain?".
"What witch doesn't?", asked Yukari. "It's where all the magic on Earth comes from. EVERY witch, warlock, sorcerer, sorceress and magician worth their magic instrument knows about Ledger Domain. It's magic 101".
"Then have you heard of Addwaitcha?" Asked Ben.
"Again, who hasn't", said Yukari. "He's one of the oldest magical beings in history. Not to mention one of the nastiest".
"Spellbinder?" Asked Ben.
"Oooooooooh. One of the most powerful magical humans in history", said Yukari. "Do think I've been living under a rock?".
"No, it's just that me, my cousin and my best friend fought his daughter on several occasions" answered Ben.
"Spellbinder has a daughter?" Asked Yukari.
"Yeah", said Ben. "Her name's Charmcaster".
"I think I remember seeing her on the news when you guys fought her back in 2011" said Yukari.
"Speaking of her", said Ben. "I haven't seen her since we defeated her back in Ledger Domain".
"You think she retired?" Asked Kurumu.
"I doubt it".
They all looked behind Yukari to see Ms. Retsac. A pinkish white orb covered her hands and she then fired it at them. The impact caused all of them to get blown into a wall and knocked them out.
"Hahahaha!", laughed Ms. Retsac. "I do enjoy being a witch". She then used he magic to lift Yukari up before they teleported away.
When Ben and the others came to, they saw that Yukari was gone.
"Oh shit", said Ben. "We've been dooped".
"And how exactly are we gonna find her?" Asked Kurumu.
"Kurumu's right", said Moka. "It's not like we can track her and you can't use your watch because it's recharging".
"Who said anything about tracking" said Ben. He pulled out his phone and called someone.
"Hey Glitch, do you copy?" Asked Ben.
"Loud and clear Mr. Tennyson", said Glitch. "What seems to be the problem?".
"I need you to look at the security cameras and see if you can spot Yukari Sendo" said Ben.
"Consider it done" said Glitch. Glitch began to rapidly type on the computer as it showed him the footage of every room in the school.
"Found her", said Glitch. "Room A113".
"I think I've heard that from somewhere", said Ben. "But hell, where is A113?".
"Sixth room on the left on the third floor" said Glitch.
"Glitch said that they're in the sixth room on the left on the third floor" said Ben.
"Then let's go" said Moka. They then ran as fast as they could to room A113. When they arrived, Moka tried to open the door, but it wouldn't budge. She then tried ramming it and kicking it, but it didn't work.
"Rgh, I can't get it to open" said Moka. Ben then heard a beep and looked at his Omnitrix.
"Yes, fully charged" said Ben.
"Well, could you, oh, I don't know, USE IT TO KNOCK THE DOOR DOWN?!" Shouted Kurumu. Ben then activated the Omnitrix and slammed down the dial. His body began to inflate as his head sank into his body. His legs became tree trunk-like and he grew armour on his body that was outlined in black.
"CANNONBOLT!" He shouted as he flexed his arms.
Kou: Cannonbolt here is an Arburian Pelarota. These guys have armoured plating that can withstand lasers and even a fall from the atmosphere. They have the ability to curl up into a ball and use it as a tool or weapon. But they can't turn quickly due to their weight, WEE!
"Okay, THAT will work" said Kurumu.
"Stand back" said Cannonbolt. He then curled into a ball, spun for a few seconds and rocketed forward knocking the door down before he uncurled himself.
"Yukari!" Shouted Moka. Both Moka and Kurumu ran into the room.
"Oh, look who's here" said Ms. Retsac.
"Hand over Yukari you crazy old, uh, bitch" said Cannonbolt.
"Sorry, but no can do" said MMS. Retsac, as her voice changed to sound like one that was familiar.
"Hey, I know that voice" said Cannonbolt. Ms. Retsac's eyes then glowed pink.
"Took you long enough" she said. She covered herself in pink energy as her appearance altered. She now had long white hair tied in a ponytail that was purple on the front, the bangs and the end of her ponytail. She had purple eyes outlined in black and had black lipstick on. Her outfit consisted of a black shirt with a mesh top under a deep purple jacket. She wore a dark Magenta skirt with see-through stockings and black, heeled boots. She also wore a spiked headband and a necklace.
"Charmcaster" said Moka.
"The one and only" replied Charmcaster.
"I should've known", said Cannonbolt. "Retsac is Caster spelt backwards. How can I be so fucking stupid?".
"What's up with the new outfit?", asked Kurumu. "Your old one in the wash?".
"Actually, it is", said Charmcaster. "So, I looked through my closest to see if I had anything. And low and behold I find my outfit from my days at Yokai Academy".
"You went here?" Asked Moka.
"I did", said Charmcaster. "But I got kicked out. Turns out not everyone enjoys being my magic test subject".
"So, you're just getting revenge because you got kicked out?" Asked Cannonbolt.
"That's the sum of it, yes" said Charmcaster.
"Dude", said Kurumu. "That plan's fucking weak".
"We'll see who's weak after I absorb Yukari's Magic into my own being" said Charmcaster.
"Not gonna happen Sabrina", said Moka. "Prepare for an ass whooping".
"Come at me, bitch" said Charmcaster. She then fired a sphere of pink energy at them.
"Move!" Shouted Cannonbolt. They then jumped out of the way before it could hit them.
"Ya might as well give up Charmcaster", said Kurumu. "There's three of us and only one of you". Charmcaster then took something out of her magic bag and threw it at them. It turned out to be a bunch of mini stone figures.
"Is that all ya got?" Asked Kurumu. A glow then appeared before the figures grew to a size that made them a lot more intimidating. There were two beasts and two golems.
"You just HAD to say something?!" Shouted Moka.
"Me and Kurumu will handle these rock creatures", said Cannonbolt. "Moka, you see if you can free Yukari".
"You got it", said Moka. "But, don't you think you should do something first?". She then pointed to her rosario.
"Oh, right" said Cannonbolt. He then grabbed the rosario and pulled it off, thus turning Moka into her inner self.
"You woke me up for this?", asked Moka. "I feel almost insulted".
"I'll show you insulting" said Charmcaster as she threw a pink orb at Moka, it then struck her and she then slammed into a wall.
"Okay, NOW I'm pissed" said Moka as she pried herself from the wall.
"Then let's do this", said Cannonbolt. "Come on Kurum". Cannonbolt then curled up into a ball in hurled himself forward while spinning.
"Right behind ya" said Kurumu as she deployed her wings and tail before fling forward. The golems tried to hit Cannonbolt, but he kept dodging them.
"Ugh, you guys are useless" said Charmcaster in fury. She then threw out more pieces which then turned into more golems. There were now seven of them.
"Oh shit" said Cannonbolt. One of the golems then brought both it's fists down on Cannonbolt, sending it crashing into the floor, making him uncurl. They then dog piled on him.
"Ben!" Shouted Kurumu in worry as she was fending of the beasts. Suddenly, there was a flash of green light from underneath the golems and they were blown off. When the light faded, Cannonbolt had a different appearance. He was now metallic blue and his armour pieces were a darker shade of the same colour with spikes on the armour. The Omnitrix logo now had clamps coming out of it.
"ULTIMATE CANNONBOLT!"
"Ultimate" Moka and the others asked.
"I'll explain later", said Ultimate Cannonbolt. "But for now, let's kick ass". He then curled into a ball and spun himself forward and destroyed two of the golems before uncurling himself.
"Hehe, I forgot how much fun this was" said Ultimate Cannonbolt.
"This is for ruining my favourite pair of luck leg warmers" said Kurumu. She then flew backwards into the wall, shattering the stone beast.
"Chew on THIS!". She grabbed the other one and threw it on the grow, shattering it.
"Kurumu, 2. Stone Fuckers, zippo" said Kurumu. Moka then kicked the head off of one of the golems.
'Shit', thought Charmcaster. 'Why does this spell take so damn long?'. Moka then tackled her to the ground and the two started to pull at each other's faces. Right before Moka slugged Charmcaster one, but Charmcaster caught it.
"You seem weaker then what I saw on the news back in 2011", noted Moka. "What's the deal with that?".
"As if I'd tell you", retorted Charmcaster. "Reknom shu shakka". Moka, Kurumu and Ultimate Cannonbolt were then hurled into a wall and were now chained to it by magic.
"Oh great" groaned Kurumu.
"Now, with you guys outta the way", said Charmcaster. "Absorbing this brat's magic will be as easy as pie". She then walked over to Yukari and started to chant. Pink energy then started to pour out of Yukari's body.
"We gotta do something" said Kurumu.
"But what?", asked Ultimate Cannonbolt. "We're trapped".
"But we need to do something", said Moka. "Yukari's starting to look like she's at tales end". That gave Ultimate Cannonbolt an idea.
"Wait, Tail. That's it" said Cannonbolt. He then saw that Yukari's wand was on the floor next to where Kurumu was.
"Kurumu, I need you to use your tail to throw Yukari's wand to her" said Ultimate Cannonbolt.
"Okay, I'll give it a shot" said Kurumu. She then used her tail to reach down and grab Yukari's wand. She then threw it and Yukari managed to catch it.
"Any last words?" Asked Charmcaster.
"Yeah", said Yukari. "You're the worst teacher EVER". She then waved her wand a bit and a large wash basin then landed on Charmvaster's head.
"OW!" She screamed as she held her head. With her concentration broken, Moka, Ultimate Cannonbolt and Kurumu were freed.
"I'll free Yukari", said Moka. "You guys handle Charmcaster".
"You got it" said Ultimate Cannonbolt. He then curled up into a ball and rolled towrds Charmcaster. But, she used her magic to create a curved shield and Ultimate Cannonbolt then rolled off it. But, he then bounced off the wall and headed back towards Charmcaster, this caused her to duck.
Kurumu then flew down with her nails fully extended. But Charmcaster then threw a ball of manna at her and knocked her out of the sky.
Meanwhile, Moka had made it to Yukari.
"You alright?" Asked Moka.
"I've been better" said Yukari. Moka then broke the restraints off of Yukari.
"So, how do we defeat her?" Asked Yukari.
"Maybe we could send her back to Ledger Domain" said Moka.
"Well, I could use a spell to transport her back to Ledger Domain", said Yukari. "But, it'll take time".
"We'll distract Charmcaster", said Moka. "You open the portal". Moka then charged into battle. She then delivered a spinning kick, only for Charmcaster to create a shield and block it.
"This is getting me nowhere" said Charmcaster. She then threw out more of her stone idols and they turned into stone creatures.
"Oh god, not these guys again" said Kurumu. The stone creatures then attacked. Moka grabbed one mid air and threw it into the wall.
"Are you almost done Yukari?" Asked Ultimate Cannonbolt.
"Just a little bit longer" answered Yukari.
"Well, uh, no pressure or anything", said Kurumu. "Buuuuuuut, we're kinda overwhelmed here". Then after about 5 seconds, a ball of pink energy surrounded Yukari's wand.
"YES!", shouted Yukari. "Guys, it's ready".
"Then do it!" Shouted Moka. Yukari then raised her wand over her head.
"Rease vol mormagga trunsfas Ledger Domain!" She shouted. She then slammed her wand on the ground and a portal opened up. Yukari, Moka, Kurumu and Ultimate Cannonbolt then grabbed onto anything that they could as the portal started to suck everything around it into it. The stone creatures were first to go, but Charmcaster managed to use her magic to hold onto the ground using her magic.
"You think this'll work?", asked Charmcaster. "I am Charmcaster, Daughter of Spellbinder, conqueror of Addwaitcha, Ruler of Ledger Domain. And I will not be deni-". Before she could finish her monologue, a washpan hits her in the face.
"And you talk FAR too much" said Yukari. Charmcaster then lost her grip and was sucked in, just before the portal closed. Without the vacuum from the portal, Yukari, Moka, Kurumu and Ultimate Cannonbolt then fell to the floor
"That was a close one" said Kurumu.
"I'll say" Ultimate Cannonbolt. He then slammed down on his logo and turned back into Ben.
"And my mother wonders why I'm not the biggest fan of magic" said Kurumu.
"Regardless", said Moka. "Yukari, you did well". Yukari blushed at this.
"Well, I uh, thank you" said Yukari.
"But there is one thing I don't get", said Moka. "Ben, how were you able to go ultimate, if you don't have the Ultimatrix?".
"That's, kinda a long story" answered Ben.
"Well, we got time", said Kurumu. "So tell us".
"It happened during the last time I fought Albedo" said Ben.
"That evil clone of you?" Asked Kurumu.
"Actually, he was a Grey Matter that got turned into a copy of Ben but then became an albino" said Yukari.
"Hm, a lot of air from such a little girl" said Kurumu.
"Anyways, Yukari's right", said Ben. "That's what he was. He then created a device that allowed him to stabilise his transformation that he got from an experiment I messed up. But, he then got the final component to achieve 'ultimate power' as he claimed".
"Which was?" Asked Moka.
"He found away to access his ultimate forms without an Ultimatrix", answered Ben. "Hell, he even gave himself an ultimate form. It looked like fucking M.O.D.O.K".
"Ugh, I haven't even SEEN that and I can already TELL it's gross" said Kurumu.
"He then tried to steal Azmuth's brain, but we stopped him after I unlocked Atomix" said Ben.
"Atomix?" The girls asked.
"He's my third most powerful alien" answered Ben. The girls just blinked at this in wonder.
"But, then", Ben said with a smirk. "Azmuth trolled Albedo".
"Oooooooooooooooh", said Kurumu and Yukari with a chuckle. "How?".
"He hacked Albedo's stabiliser so that he was forced to be stuck as me forever", answered Ben. "And when Albedo shouted 'WHAT COULD BE WORSE THAN BEING STUCK AS A 16 YEAR OLD BEN TENNYSON?!' He then turned into a 10 year old version of me". Kurumu and Yukari then began to laugh at this while Moka smirked. She then gained a serious look.
"I somehow doubt that's the end of the story" said Moka. Yukari and Kurumu then stopped laughing.
"You're right", said Ben. "It wasn't the end. His stabiliser started to spark and energy built up from it. We ran from that as there was a massive energy burst. When the light faded, Albedo was gone. All that was left was the crystal that he used to upgrade it". This made the girls look rather concerned. Moka was the first to speak up.
"Was he-".
"We don't know", answered Ben. "But all we do know is that if he IS still alive, he would go after that crystal again. So, Azmuth decided to let me keep it".
"And that's how you got your ultimate forms back?" Asked Moka.
"Pretty much", answered Ben. "Anyways. Yukari. I think we could use you on our team".
"Really?" Asked Yukari with sparkling eyes.
"Yeah", said Ben. "We could use someone who has a decent understanding of magic. So, why not you?". Yukari was so excited, she squealed and her wand began to charge.
"Oh boy" sighed Ben.
