Chapter 13

The Arabian Knights

"I feel so exposed right now."

Of course, Raymond, Aisen (Jack), Thalia, Aoife, Ray, Dakota, and Sophia with Dawn stood in white nightgowns and loose pants and shirts. In a separate room, Juniper, Scarlet, and Regina gazing at the kids.

Dakota finally spoke up. "Can I have my regular clothes back, please?"

Regina gazed at the boy. "Absolutely not," she said sharply. "Those clothes would tear like butter, and we would like you in one piece."

Thalia looked terrified and squealed a bit. Aoife blinked a bit. "That was pleasant. Can you be more pleasant?"

Regina gave a bit of a side-eye to Scarlet, who, in turn, started to chuckle a bit. "That is her pleasant, most of the time or once she gets to know ya. Which might be worse?" Regina scoffed and rolled her eyes as Juniper sighed. "Considering," Scarlet continued. "We could be dealing with danger. Human clothes are like going hiking in heels: uncomfortable and dangerous."

Ray began to grin from ear-to-ear and clapped her hands like… well, a little kid. "We get magic clothes! Like in our dreams."

Scarlet gave a small smile bringing out more excitement in Ray. "If that's in your mind or in your dream. You've got it, firefly!"

Ray squealed again. Raymond still looked neutral. He still wasn't sure how this would work. After mentioning their deals and the characters agreeing to those deals, they were stripped, so to say, and lead here. But it was not the best idea to be totaled before even starting. "Are you going to do that?"

Regina scoffed a bit. "Despite my style, that is not part of my magic."

Aoife arched her eyebrows in confusion. "Part of magic?"

Regina sighed, exasperated. "To make it short, I can't create things. I more manipulate than create. I can create normal clothes mostly from my own mind but nothing special," she then pointed to Scarlet. "She can't do it either. She's better at chants, spells, and small future telling."

Thalia then looked at Juniper, who looked like she was readying herself. "Oh, then you are making our outfits."

Juniper didn't bother to turn but nodded. Dakota just watched her. "She seems really focused." Dakota then realized something… he didn't recognize her from anything. Heck, he didn't remind her of any Disney character he knew.

"What story are you from?" Dakota asked.

This perked up Jack and Raymond and looked at Juniper, still not looking at them. Raymond blinked. "That's right…."

"Yeah, what story do you come from?

Juniper did not answer as she stood up straight. "I can answer later," she said shortly but didn't sound rude. She lifted her hand and moved her hand after she was pulling down a window. However, nothing appeared.

The group of kids looked confused. Regina smirked an almost taunting grin as Scarlet struggled to keep in a giggle. Juniper groaned and tried again, but nothing appeared. "How in Disney did I lose that wand again?!" She immediately pulled up her sleeves, looking at them. She then patted herself cause Ray, Jack, Sophia, Dawn, and Thalia giggled at the site. Aoife stifled her laugh by putting her hand over her mouth. "I-I had it before. Every time I try to focus, I still…." She continued to look around her and pulled at the air. Soon Raymond and Dakota started to smile in amusement. "I'd lose my head if I had it. I'm just like her no matter how hard—"

"Oh," Thalia exclaimed in realization. "You're from Cinderella… your fairy—"

Juniper looked up as she was still looking around. "Yes, well," she answered, still reoccupied. "Her apprentice anyway." Juniper huffed as she stood up straight. "Now, where is that—" Juniper stopped as she sighed in realization. "Oh, that's right." She left her hand again and began as if pulling sword motion. "So, when trouble appears," she then pulled out her wand, a sliver sparling stick, "Pull out your own spear."

Jack tilled his head. "Wouldn't it be "sword?"

Juniper cleared her throat. "It's meant to rhyme, more than making sense."

"I'm more concerned about how much this will hurt?" Aoife stated.

Juniper shook her head. "It's just tickle," However, she then tapped the side of her cheek with her wand. "Granted, casters don't get much chance to cast on themselves." That didn't necessarily fill the group with comfort. Despite the group's discomfort, Juniper raised her hand and waved her wand. Though nothing worked, she lowered her on and hit it against the palm of her hand. As it began to spark, she raised her hands again and recited the spell the group knew all too well.
