(A/N: Here's the next installment. I'll be updating Broken next. Hope you all enjoy!)

"A Night To Remember"

Finally the day of the big game was here. St. John's cancelled all afternoon classes in preparation for it. Since the championship game was played at St. Peter's last year. Fitz's school had the honor of hosting it this year. And to say the students were excited was a gross understatement. The school hallways were littered in their school colors with streamers and posters in every corridor showing support for the home team. Everyone got a break from wearing their traditional school uniforms and were dressed in casual clothes today. But almost everyone wore their school colors in solidarity as well.

The school's gym was packed to capacity. There was only standing room left. Everyone had been preparing to watch this game all week, so the large crowd was no surprise. Stephen dressed up in the mascot uniform, and was performing with the band before the game was set to start. Olivia was sitting with Abby and her parents on the fifth row in the bleachers. She was nervous for Fitz but excited as well. She'd already wished him luck and gave him a kiss before she went and joined Abby and her parents in the stands.

He tried to play it off, but she could tell he was super nervous. She'd seen the scouts from Duke, Boston College and UCLA walk into the gym just after she did. He really had no need to be nervous. He was the most talented player she knew, and Olivia knew that the scouts would see that if he let them.

"Livvie, your father and I are going to go get some snacks, do you girls want anything?" Her mother asked.

Olivia shook her head, but Abby asked for some popcorn. So Maya and Eli decided they'd get both girls some popcorn and drinks. Olivia was obviously just as nervous for Fitz as he was for himself. It was cute, her mother thought. As her parents left the bleachers to go get snacks, Abby noticed Olivia moving uncharacteristically.

"Liv you're fidgeting," said Abby.

Olivia tapped her foot on the ground while also rubbing her hands together as if she were applying lotion. Fitz and the team were still back in the locker rooms. Probably getting their pre-game speech from the coach. She knew Fitz was nervous, but she wanted to see his face, to smile at him, whisper that she loved him, anything she could think of to calm him down.

"Sorry," she mumbled, stopping her movements.

"He'll be fine. St. Peter's ass is grass," assured Abby.

Olivia looked over at her and smiled. She knew that they were the better team. She just wanted everything to go right for Fitz tonight.

Fitz was in the locker room trying to focus on what the coach was saying but his head was foggy with negative thoughts of losing the most important game of his high school career. He couldn't shake the feeling that this game was not going to go their way. Maybe it was because there were over 2500 students, faculty and family members in the audience waiting to see how the game would go. Waiting to see if they could bring it home. Maybe it was because the scouts from Duke, Boston College, and UCLA were there. Maybe it was because he wanted to beat the crap out of St. Peter's and Jake Ballard. Maybe it was because the woman he loved was in the audience tonight and he wanted to make her proud of him. Or maybe it was a combination of all of these things. But Fitz literally felt like vomiting, he was so nervous.

Before he knew it, the team was heading out of the locker room and into the gym. They could hear the cheers of the crowd before the doors to the gym were even open.

Harrison leaned over to Fitz as they were walking. "Can you feel it?" he asked excitedly. "Tonight is going to be epic!"

Fitz smiled nervously. Yeah, tonight would be epic, or an epic fail. He thought.

Harrison noticed his nervousness and clapped him on the back. "We got this bro, let's go get this W!"

Fitz looked over at him and nodded, they bumped fist together, before turning their attention to the doors of the gym that were being opened for them. Each of the players on the team were announced and ran through the cheerleaders, who were standing in two separate lines opposite of each other. They waved their poms poms and cheered loudly for their basketball team. Melissa even more so who cheered Fitz's name loudly when he was called. Fitz didn't pay any attention to it though.

He walked over to his team's bench, on the way there he saw the scouts from each college that had come to watch him play. He quickly swallowed back his nerves and continued on walking. Jake Ballard caught his eye and smirked at him from the other side of the gym where his team was. He glared at him, as Jake looked up into the stands and blew a kiss at Olivia. But Olivia didn't even notice, her eyes were on Fitz the whole time.

Fitz gazed at her and she mouthed that she loved him. He returned the sentiment, and smiled genuinely for the first time since he stepped foot in the gym. He was still nervous, but knowing that she was there to support him, made him feel a lot better.

Coach asked Fitz to give the pre-game speech, but he felt like he would vomit if he opened his mouth, so he passed on that responsibility to his co-captain Harrison. Once Harrison ended his speech, the whole team cheered, and were fired up to win this game. Fitz felt energized as well, but the nerves were still there.

Each team stepped onto the court, the referee came to the center with the basketball, and blew his ref threw the ball up into the air and the game finally began.

By half time the energy of the crowd at St. John's had significantly decreased. The team was down 45 to 60, with St. Peter's going on a huge scoring drive right before the buzzer to end the second quarter. St. John's just wasn't playing like the well oiled machine they had been during their regular season and playoff run.

Fitz felt like a complete failure as he looked up at the scoreboard. This was all his fault. He let his nerves get to him and had missed the last ten shots he put up, costing his team dearly. No one was blaming him personally, at least not to his face, but he saw the frowns of the crowd and his team directed at him. He was their leader, and when he played bad, the whole team played bad. He hung his head in shame as the team headed to their locker room from the gym. There wasn't much to cheer about, but Stephen and the band still tried to get the crowd riled up for the second half.

As he was heading to the locker room, Jake Ballard stepped in his path, blocking him.

"Damn Grant, if I would've known it'd be this easy to beat your sorry asses, I would've told the coach to let the J.V. squad play."

Fitz was not in the mood to deal with Jake's taunts. He tried to walk around him. "Fuck off Ballard!" he hissed.

But Jake couldn't take a hint. "I'm pretty sure Liv doesn't wanna date a loser. I should speak to her after the game and let her hold my trophy. After that I'll let her hold the one in my pants," he jeered.

Fitz stopped in his tracks and turned around. He was in front of Jake within three big strides. He grabbed a fist full of Jake's jersey, and pulled him to within an inch of him. He glared at him menacingly.

"Say something like that again and I'll beat your ass!" he warned.

"You can't even beat me on the court!" he teased.

The basketball teams had started to surround them, and the crowd in the stands was getting amped up for a fight.

Abby looked over at Olivia anxiously. "Liv, you need to go talk to him." Olivia looked over at her and nodded wordlessly, as she got up from the bleachers and headed towards the commotion.

The coaches came and broke up the little altercation before it got too far, and the teams headed to their prospective locker rooms. Olivia followed the team but stood outside of the locker room. She heard the coach ripping into Fitz for his little display with Jake Ballard. Once the coach finished reprimanding him, he left Fitz by the doors of the locker room and went to go and try to motivate the rest of the team. Fitz sat down on a bench and put his head in his hands. Olivia saw this and knocked on the door of the locker room. Fitz looked up and saw her outside the locker room. He got up and walked over to her.

Once he stood outside the door, she took his hand in hers. "Baby what's going on?" she asked.

Fitz sighed frustrated. "Jake Fucking Ballard, that guy's such an assh…"

Olivia shook her head. "I'm not talking about Jake." She placed her hand on his cheek and he gazed down at her. "I'm talking about you, why are you playing like this Fitz. You're much better than how you've been playing. Tell me what's wrong?" she asked, truly concerned.

Fitz took a deep breath, and looked down at the ground. "I don't know Livvie, I'm just...it's just, my head is not in the game." He fell back against the door behind him, letting go of her hand as he continued to explain his frustrations to her. "I can't focus on anything but impressing these scouts that came to see me. And when I focus on that, I'm trying so hard not to mess up that I end up fucking things up anyway," he explained feeling ashamed.

Olivia took a step closer to him and caressed his cheek, he gazed into her eyes and she felt her heart break. He was so upset and ashamed at how he was playing. It was displayed all over his face. She wanted to get him out of this rut.

"Babe look, forget about the scouts okay. Forget about Jake and St. Peter's, hell forget it's the championship game."

Fitz cracked a half smile. "I can't forget that."

"You have too. Basketball is supposed to be fun for you, and you're making it look like the hardest calculus test you've ever taken." Fitz actually did laugh at this. Olivia continued on. "Look baby, this is the last game you'll ever play here. The last time you'll play with all your friends on the team at this school. I know you don't want to go out like this." Fitz nodded. "If you're gonna focus on anything; focus on having fun with your friends. At the end of the day it's not about winning or losing, it's about how you play the game," she told him.

"But Livvie I…" she cut him off with a finger to his lips.

"I know you want to win, and I know you didn't play your best that first half. But the game is not over Fitz, you guys can still turn this around. You and the team. All you have to do is trust yourself and have some fun." She grabbed his hand and squeezed it. "Those scouts didn't just come to see you win, they came to see you play. So play babe, just have fun and play."

Fitz sighed heavily. "I'll try," he told her.

"Or you'll just do it," she countered.

He laughed again. "Okay Nike," he joked.

She smiled and kissed him on the lips. "Besides I have a surprise for you tonight after the dance, and I want your focus on me after this and not on a loss. So if you can pull it together and you guys win, I'll…" she leaned forward and whispered in his ear and he blushed, but perked up immediately.

"Really?" he asked once she took a step back, his face still bright red. Olivia smiled mischievously and nodded.

"Do we have a deal?" she asked knowingly.

He smirked at her, before wrapping his arms around her, picking her up and kissing her soundly. "Oh we definitely do," he answered, his voice dropping an octave as he did so.

He let her down gently and she pecked him on the lips again. "Good, now get back out there and have some fun Fitz, I'll be waiting for you once the game is over. Win or lose, you'll always be my champion," she told him sweetly.

"I love you," he whispered.

"I love you too," she said, kissing him one more time, before heading back to the gym.

Fitz watched her go, wondering how he got so lucky to have her in his life. Before he went back into the locker room in a renewed spirit. He was ready to play, and he was going to play to win.

The teams came back to the gym and were each on their sidelines waiting for the game to start back up again in a few minutes. Fitz took a look at his team. They all looked dejected and hopeless. Fitz knew he was mostly to blame for this. He needed to step up and be the leader they voted him to be. He had to get his team motivated to get back in this thing if they were going to win.

He spoke to his coach and apologized for his behavior earlier. Then he got all of his teammates to stand up and make a circle around him as he started to deliver what he'd hope would be a highly motivational speech.

"Alright boys look. I've been playing like shit. I know this and I'm sorry. You guys don't deserve that, coach doesn't deserve that and neither does this school. For some of you guys, myself included, this is the last game we'll ever play here. I know you guys, especially you seniors, don't wanna look back on this game, five, ten, twenty years from now and remember how we gave up the championship game to St. Peter's do you?" he asked. Some of his teammates started coming around and making some noise. He continued on, hoping to get more of his teammates to follow suit.

"We've got thirty minutes left! Thirty minutes to turn this thing around, and show why we've been the champions for the past three years running! Thirty minutes to play the best basketball game we've ever played in our lives! Thirty minutes left to go down in infamy! But most importantly we've got thirty minutes left to have fun with our friends on the team, before we go off into the unknown. Now do you wanna go off as winners, or losers?" he asked.

"Winners!" some of the team started to yell, his speech was picking up momentum and he decided to go with it.

"I can't hear you!" he yelled loudly!

"WINNERS!" they all yelled loud enough for the whole crowd to hear.

"That's what I'm talking about!" yelled Fitz feeling fired up. "Come on boys hands in. Lions on three!" The whole team extended their arms and put their hands in the middle, even the coach who got a little teary eyed at Fitz's speech. "One. Two. Three."

"LIONS!"

They heard the ref blow his whistle, indicating that it was time to go back on the court. The boys on Fitz's team seemed more excited and energized than they had been all night. Harrison clapped Fitz on the back as they walked onto the court.

"Now are you ready to get this W?" he asked.

"Born ready." Answered Fitz.

"Bet, let's do this." The two bumped fists, and then got into position.

The ref threw the ball up and Fitz's teammate tipped it to Harrison. Harrison brought the ball down the court at lightning speed. He dribbled the ball between his legs, doing a crossover, and threw his opponent off. As his opponent fell to the ground, Harrison passed the ball down the court swiftly to the hoop, and Fitz jumped up and dunked in the alley-oop with one hand, giving the team their first score in the last ten plays of the game. That got the crowd fired up, the bleachers started shaking as everyone in the stands stood up and cheered loudly. Fitz looked up into the crowd at Olivia who was beaming down at him. He winked at her. Then ran back down the court.

He and Harrison high-fived each other quickly and got back on defense. Jake's teammate threw him the ball and Fitz ran over to guard him.

"You got lucky with that shot Grant, you're still gonna lose," he taunted as he dribbled the ball. Fitz kept his mouth shut and focused on the ball. "Not much of a talker now that everyone knows how much you suck huh?" Asked Jake condescendingly.

Fitz saw an opening and stole the ball. He saw Harrison racing down court out of the corner of his left eye. Jake was hot on his tail, embarrassed by the fact that Fitz stole the ball from him. Jake thought Fitz would take the shot from just outside the free throw line, so he got ready to block him. But Fitz passed the ball to Harrison at the last second. Harrison shot a three pointer from the right side of the court sinking the shot. The crowd cheered again.

Fitz smirked at Jake. "You were saying?" Jake sucked his teeth but remained quiet as they continued playing.

With shot after shot, Fitz's team started to close the gap between them and Jake's team. They were now down by seven. Harrison stole the ball from another one of Jake's teammates and passed it to Fitz who soared down the court all on his own. He took the open three and the net swished as the shot went in. The crowd cheered loudly again. Everyone was still on their feet and hadn't sat down, as Fitz and his team started to turn the game around. They were down by four now. And the fourth quarter was more than halfway through. They were down to the last five minutes of the game and Jake was determined to not let them make a comeback.

Harrison was bringing the ball down the court at a neutral pace, as the team got into position to run the play their coach told them too. Between Harrison and Fitz, they were putting on a shooting clinic. Harrison had made three of his last four 3 pointer shots, while Fitz also put up seven points for the team.

Harrison passed the ball to another teammate and went into position to go shoot another three. Jake saw what he was doing and rushed over to him as the ball was passed his way. Before Harrison could get a shot off, Jake purposely ran into him, knocking him off his feet, and onto the ground hard. The ref blew the whistle, as Harrison stayed down for a while, holding his shoulder.

"Foul!" Yelled the ref.

Fitz and some of the other teammates helped Harrison off the ground. He was still holding his shoulder. Once he made sure Harrison was okay, he got in Jake's face.

"What the fuck is wrong with you Ballard!" He yelled outraged. The crowd was getting riled up too. Everyone had seen that dirty play.

"Fuck you Fitz! Harrison was carrying your team. And you know it! Try doing it on your own you fucking loser!" He scowled.

Both Fitz's team and Jake's team crowded around each other again. And this time everyone was sure a fight would ensue. Harrison grabbed onto Fitz's arm with his good hand. Fitz looked back at Harrison and Harrison shook his head indicating that this was a bad idea. Fitz turned back to Jake and glared at him.

"We'll settle this on the court!" Hissed Fitz!

Fitz walked off and his team followed suit, but not before sending death glares to Jake and his teammates

Once the ref made sure that Harrison was okay to take his free throw shots, the teams got back on the court. Harrison rubbed his shoulder a bit, before the ref passed him the ball. Fitz could tell he was still in pain, but Harrison wanted to win. To see Harrison playing through his pain, motivated Fitz even more. Harrison shot the first shot and made it, but winced as the ball left his hands. Fitz shook his head, hoping that it was a minor injury his friend sustained and not a more serious one.

Harrison shot the ball again and missed this time. The crowd held on with bated breath as the gym was so silent you could hear a pin drop. The ref passed the ball back to Harrison for him to take his final free throw shot. St. Peter's side of the gym started to make noise and Harrison missed the shot.

Jake was sure he'd get the rebound, but Fitz jumped in front of him and snatched it out of the air at the last minute. He threw the ball up on the glass of the backboard for a lay up and it went in. The gym crowd went wild, cheering for them as the game was down to its final couple of minutes.

The ref was about to give the ball to another one of Jake's team members, when Jake snatched it from him. "Give me that!" he hissed.

Fitz's team had pulled to within one point of Jake's team and time was running out. Jake needed to put the nail in the coffin of their season. He threw the ball to his team member and then demanded they throw the ball back to him, which they did. Jake ran down the court as fast as he could and put up a three point shot. It went in much to the dismay of the crowd on St. John's side. They were down by four again.

Fitz grabbed the ball from the ref, and passed it to Harrison. "Dude, are you okay?" he asked. Harrison nodded.

"Let's finish this," said Harrison, feeling determined. Fitz smiled and nodded.

Fifty-eight seconds were left on the clock. Harrison ran the ball down the court and passed it to a teammate. The teammate passed the ball to Fitz who was immediately double-teamed. Fitz managed to get the ball away and passed it back to Harrison who shot a lay-up and put St. John's within two points of St. Peter's. With thirty seconds left. St. Peter's was about to get the ball. Their coach called a time-out. He ushered them to the sideline glanced between Harrison and Fitz.

"Harrison, I want you to steal the ball from that smug asshole Jake Ballard. Everyone knows he's gonna get it, he's the only real decent player on their team," said the coach, with disdain in his voice. Harrison nodded. Their coach turned his gaze to Fitz now. "Grant, once Harrison gets the ball. I want you to get down court, and take the three point shot. We're gonna end this thing," he told them. The team looked hype and excited, but Fitz felt those pesky nerves creep up again.

He pulled his coach aside, as the boys went over the play before their forty-five-second time-out was up. "Coach, are you sure you wanna put the game in my hands again? Remember what happened last time?" he reminded him.

Coach just smiled. "Grant, you're a senior, so you'll be leaving soon. And if you ever tell anybody this. I'll deny it." Fitz listened, eager to hear what coach would say. "I've coached basketball for over fifthteen years, kid and you're one of the best players I've ever coached." Fitz perked up at hearing this, but still looked at his coach in disbelief. Coach put his arm around him in a manly gesture, and continued. "You're diligent, you're patient, you're talented. During your freshman year when it was you against Ballard for that last spot on the team, to be honest Ballard had more skill than you did at that point in time. But do you know why I gave the spot to you?" he asked.

Fitz shook his head no. Coach pointed at Fitz's chest and said. "Because, you had more heart. You have more heart than that kid will ever have. And now because you've been coached by me for the past couple of years, you have more skill too." Fitz smiled and Coach sighed before he continued. "I know it's a lot of pressure, and that I'm asking a lot of you. But Grant I wouldn't ask, if I didn't think you could do it. You spoke earlier about looking back on this time and not regretting it. Well kid I'm not gonna have any regrets tonight. And I don't want you to either. Go out there and take the shot. And even though I can't speak for everyone else, win or lose. I'll be proud of you. I already am."

Fitz felt overcome with emotion, and held back a tear or two. "Thanks coach."

Coach clapped him on the back, and Fitz ran back onto the court feeling inspired.

Harrison walked over to Fitz and said. "Let's end this thing."

Fitz bumped his fist and gave him a stern look. "You know what to do."

Harrison and Fitz both traveled to the far end of the court where the ref was giving St. Peter's the ball to bring in from out of bounds and start the game back up. The ref handed the ball to Jake's teammate who immediately passed the ball to Jake once the ref blew his whistle. Jake traveled down the court. Bouncing the ball swiftly to get to where he needed to go. Harrison and Fitz both guarded him at one point. But Fitz fell back to guard someone else. He could tell that Jake was talking shit to Harrison, much like he did to him earlier in the game. Jake was at his three point line getting ready to take a shot. Fitz looked up at the scoreboard. Twenty-five seconds left.

Jake got into position to shoot, and when he bounced the ball a couple more times, Harrison took his chance. He stole it and the crowd went wild. Jake looked livid as he hurried to get back on defense. Harrison dribbled the ball down the court slowly, even though they only had twenty-five seconds left. He needed to give Fitz time to get into position for the open shot. Harrison bounced the ball with one hand and held up his other hand with two fingers pointing to the sky, indicating that they were about to run the play coach told them too.

He ran around the court bouncing the ball, as one of his other teammates set up the pick and roll, blocking the guy from St. Peter's from guarding him momentarily. He saw Fitz run to get into position on the left side of the three-point line while everyone on St. Peter's team had started to chase him down for the basketball. Jake ran up to guard Harrison and try to steal the ball. Ten seconds left. Harrison set up a fake play where it looked like he was going to drive to the hoop to shoot a lay-up and tie the game. St. Peter's fell for it, because they were all following him, trying to block his path. Jake included.

Five seconds left. Harrison got close enough to the basket to take a shot if he wanted. He saw out of the corner of his eye that Fitz was in position and wide open. He looked for an open lane to pass it to Fitz so that he could take the shot, but the players from St. Peter's had crowded around him, making it almost impossible to see. Three seconds left. Finally Jake swiped in for a steal, moving from his spot and Harrison saw an opening.

He bounced passed the ball in Jake's now vacant lane, hard to Fitz who caught it from where he stood. With one second left on the clock, and everyone in the gym standing on their feet with their hearts in their stomachs; Fitz got a good look, put up a silent prayer as he let the ball float from his hands towards the hoop.

The buzzer went off as Fitz let off the shot, and one second later the shot circled the rim, everyone including both basketball teams watched with bated breath. Finally after what felt like an eternity. The ball fell into the hoop swishing the net as it fell through. Everyone from St. John's started to cheer. It was over! The team came back to overcome a crushing lead and won the game 100 to 99.

The announcer came over the loudspeaker and shouted as the students began running excitedly onto the court from the stands. "St. John's wins! St. Johns wins! Grant sinked the buzzer beater! St Johns wins! Champions for four years in a row!

Confetti fell out of the sky in their school colors and everyone was hugging everyone. Fitz couldn't keep the grin off of his face, as he moved through the crowd looking for the woman he loved. Everyone congratulated him as he was walking through. Confetti fell all around him and practically covered his hair. Harrison saw him before he could reach Olivia and jumped into his arms excitedly.

"We won! We won!" Fitz laughed and put him down as he ran off to jump on some more of his teammates.

Finally he spotted Olivia. She looked beautiful as the confetti fell around her as well. She smiled brightly at him as she caught his eye. She ran over to him and jumped in his arms wrapping her arms around his neck. He wrapped his arms around her waist and swung her around.

"I knew you could do it! I told you this would be a night to remember." She whispered in his ear.

"I love you Livvie," he whispered back.

He brought her in for a kiss while still holding her up in the air. Once they broke their embrace, he let her down and held onto her hand. Her parents and Abby came to congratulate him.

"Thanks you all for coming," he said happily.

His father came up to him as well. He noticed how his father tried to avoid the eyes of Eli Pope. Fitz had no idea that his father was even there in the first place.

"Congratulations son. That was a great game. I'm proud of you," he said sincerely. But Fitz could detect a hint of fear in his voice as well.

"Uh… thanks dad," responded Fitz awkwardly. He pulled Olivia forward. "Dad this is my girlfriend Olivia," Fitz stated proudly.

His dad gave her a small smile and shook her hand. "Nice to meet you."

Olivia shook Big Gerry's hand as well. "Nice to meet you too Mr. Grant."

"Well I just stopped by to say hi. And congrats son. Enjoy your night," he told him.

"Thanks Dad."

His father nodded wordlessly. Finally Eli caught Big Gerry's eye before he left and nodded in approval. Gerry practically ran from the gym after this.

The scouts that had come to see him play all spoke to Fitz next. And Olivia let his hand go and took a step back so that he could speak with them.

"That was a great game kid," said the scout from Boston College.

"Yeah one of the most exciting games I've been to in a while," agreed the scout from UCLA.

"Even when your team was down. You guys never gave up and you rallied them back to win. That's the type of tenacity we look for in our players Grant," said the scout from Duke. "Enjoy your weekend kid, you'll be hearing from us on Monday." All the other scouts nodded in agreement. Fitz couldn't hide the happiness if he tried. He felt joy swell up inside his chest.

"Thank you!" He told each of them. Shaking each of their hands as well. Once they walked off he turned back to Olivia and hugged her.

His coach was calling him and the rest of his teammates it was time for the trophy ceremony. Most everyone from St. Peter's was leaving the gym. He saw Jake hang his head in shame as he left and felt a small sense of pride at this. The smug asshole needed to be brought down a peg or two.

The team gathered in the center of the court as the principal brought in the championship trophy. Coach was given a microphone and made a speech getting teary eyed as he did. He congratulated the team and thanked the school for their support.

"Finally," said the coach. "I would be remiss if I didn't recognize these two individuals. Harrison, come up here buddy!" Harrison walked over to his coach, with a huge smile on his face. "You never gave up, kid. Even played hurt and helped us win this game. I can't wait to see what you do in the future!" He told him. Harrison hugged his coach and then the coach gave him the mic.

"I just wanna say. WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS MY FRIENDS!" Sang Harrison. The crowd gathered around them laughed and cheered. He gave the mic back to the coach and the coach looked at Fitz from where he was standing next to Olivia.

"Get up here captain!" Fitz smiled and ran up to where his coach was standing. Coach clapped him on the back. "This kid right here he's special. He's the team captain, the one who kept this team motivated to come back and win this thing!" The school cheered. "I know that no matter where you go in the future. You'll be successful kid. You got anything you wanna say?" Coach handed Fitz the mic.

The school continued to cheer for him as Fitz tried to think of something to say. "Thanks coach," he started. The crowd quieted down for him to speak. "This team man, they'll never be another one like it. Thanks boys for hanging in there with me until the end. You guys are champions because of you!" The team cheered and clapped.

Fitz turned his attention to their coach. "Coach, thanks for taking a chance on me. You're the best coach and mentor any team could ask for. And you're right. Tonight I don't have any regrets! GO LIONS!" The team yelled and cheered and so did the crowd as everyone repeated.

"GO LIONS!"

Fitz walked back over to Olivia after the trophy ceremony was over. Almost everyone was gone by now, including her parents. The school had a homecoming dance to get ready for.

They wanted the team to stay behind and take some pictures, but he wanted to see her first.

He pulled her into his arms and hugged and kissed her. "Ew Fitz you're sweaty," she giggled.

"I know you said that you wanna make this a night to remember. But I'm going to make this a night you never forget," he promised, kissing her soundly once more.

(A/N: They won! LOL. The dance is coming up next! A secret gets revealed. Stephen finally talks to Abby. Melissa makes one last push to win homecoming Queen. And Fitz makes good on his promise to make it a night Olivia won't forget! Till next time…)
