UPDATED FOR GRAMMAR

AN: So, I was bored and had watched Oda Nobuna no Yabou for the third time in a day, so I decided to write this little story, its meant to be a side to the Norm, featuring a character that fits my general writing style, a male OC Gary Stu with some romantic OC Female, so My writing may be haphazard and undeniably sporadic. The years are messed up, so don't worry about it…much. I hope you enjoy, and I own nothing but my OC and the armaments that I bring to the table. See you on the flipside.

Kamisaka Hiro is my name and cooking is my game! At least, that was my game, till I found out that my best friend in the whole world was killed, replaced by another, from my own time. I was born in 1996, to a broken family. Although we were of the middle class, I often felt like I was deep in poverty. Rarely did we have fresh food, and when we did, it was of meagre amounts. I learnt to forage from a young age and to cook dishes from as little as possible.

I grew up in Otaru city, in Hokkaido, Japan. Close to where the east and west meet, I had been influenced with both western and traditional cooking styles and methods, often creating fusion and hybrid dishes. I had completed my University Degree in the Culinary Arts by age 21 and opened my own restaurant a year later. I took on the hobby of Hojutsu, or the Art of the Firearm, together with my employees and had been nominated for and won several awards for most accurate enactments. In 2020, the World Pandemic took over and my entire life halted.

I had caught the Virus at some point in my life and it had taken its toll, quarantined in my personal hell in the hospital, breathing haphazard and eyes glossy, I shuddered and took my last breath on the 23rd of Febuary, 2021, passed at the age of 25, Single, without parents or siblings.

"You know, when people explained to me what they thought the afterlife looked like, no one has ever mentioned a bakery." I mused to myself as I looked at my surroundings. I was in a room with many small furnaces, the smell of fresh and baking bread filled my nostrils as I took my first full breath in what felt like forever. I heard frantic voices above me and multiple sounds of wood on wood, like someone had a take a pair of hollow sticks and were smacking them together. I turned around to realize I was wearing my Hojutsu Uniform with Full body armor sans the Helmet. I had a firearm of sorts on my back, strapped to my armor by a sash. A Metezashi on my right, a Wakizashi, a Ko-Dachi, and a Masamune Tachi on my left, all sheathed and tied to the armor by a Hakubutai.

"Samurai-sama! Are you alright?" A frantic man yelled out as he ran down a flight of stairs.

I looked up at him in shock, then quickly realized that my armor is far more ornate than the armor of an ordinary Ashigaru, even a Captain of the Katana Tachi would be hard-pressed to afford my sort of armor.

"Forgive me Samurai-sama, I have been meaning to change the floorboards for a while but never had enough funds to do so." The man explained while bowing low, hoping to escape the wrath of the Lord in front of him. While there were no discerning symbols or logos on the man, His armor alone shows his status, not to mention his weapons, such beautiful and ornate equipement is clear that he isnt some random ronin.

"Hiro."

"Pardon my Lord?"

"My name is Hiro, Kamisaka Hiro."

"Of course, Kamisaka-sama."

I grunted as I took a step forward, left hand naturally resting on my Ko-Dachi, my own way of containing my nerves, unfortunately, the man infront of me took it the wrong way and slammed his head on the ground, begging for mercy. 'Oh, mercy me, this is beginning to feel more and more like one of those isekai animes that Mio-chan seem so excited about.'

I knelt and grasped the now sobbing man by the shoulders and pulled him up. "Relax, I'm not about to kill you, so calm down."

A plethora of "Arigatou!" came from the man as he slowed down his hiccupping voice.

"Although, it seems I must have taken a bit of a hit on the way down here, can you tell me where we are?"

"Of course Kamisaka-sama! We are on the border between Mikawa and Owari, leaning more towards Owari though."

"And how long will it take to get to Owari Castle from here on foot?"

"About 2 days march, Kamisaka-sama. Although would it not be better to just take your horse?"

"Horse?"

"Yes, Kamisaka-sama, the horse currently tied to the the post of my store."

"I…yes, yes that would be better." I say as I pat down my armor, looking for my pouch that I keep under my armor for my personal effects. Lo and behold, to my surprise, I find a pouch full of Koku and my phone, a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+. I pull it out, and to my surprise, it works but the date is all messed up, it looked like this (Mon, ## #### 1556).

"Ano…Kamisaka-sama, may I ask what that is?" The man asked timidly as he pointed at the phone that glowed softly in the early morning light.

"Hmm? Its my personal item. Don't worry about it." I replied while tucking it back into my pouch. I pull out about a 100 Koku and hand it over to the man. "Here, for the damage, and for some fresh bread."

The man bows low once more, accepting the money gratefully and wrapping several loaves of bread in preservation paper, presenting to the man along with a small jar of semi-solid red material. "Thank you again, Kamisaka-sama."

I nod as I mount a lightly armored yet ornately decorated horse and leave in the direction of Nagoya.

XX00XX

My trip to Nagoya was fairly peaceful, some bows of respect from passing peasants and workmen and the occasional animal, I took the time to inspect my equipment, to my surprise, my Matchlock rifle is actually rifled, unlike rifles of this era. My blades sharpened and polished like a mirror. I had discovered another firearm, this time a short-barrelled Matchlock traditionally carried by Matchlock Kachi in the 1860s. This short Barrel Matchlock was also rifled and had a flint igniter instead of the traditional rope. I kept it tucked into the rear of my sash.

My entry into Nagoya was, as expected, with much fanfare, as one does not make himself look like a Daimyo and enter another's domain willy nilly. Oda Soldiers, a mix of flag bearers and Katana Kachi greeted me at the gates. After some minor questions, they agreed to my request to meet with their Daimyo. I had expected to be dismounted, but it appeared otherwise. I and my entourage of 12 Oda Warriors moved at a slow trot towards the castle. I still did not have my Helmet, which probably helped my case in appearing less threatening. The citizens stopped and stared at me, which, while annoying, did little harm. I did, however, noticed a figure wearing pure black watch me for a bit before disappearing. 'Shinobi…' I mused as I returned to staring in front of me.

We reached the Castle gates in relative peace, with little interruptions from the locals or otherwise. I dismounted and handed the reigns to a ranking Kachi and walked with the escort to the Oda main Room. My plan was simple, introduce myself as a former Daimyo of a now conquered land in Hokkaido and wish to enter his service. I was not prepared when the escort called my presence and a female voice replied. My head then began to race, did I come too late and Nobuhide had only freshly died? Is Gozen the regent? Nonetheless, I entered with the grace and poise of someone of power.

I took in the people in the room and can safely say that I am either very out of touch, or there was another Oda that I hadn't heard about. Or so I thought, I took several steps forward before kneeling into a Seiza position on the provided cushion. The girl at the head of the room certainly didn't look like Gozen or is remotely close to her age. The girl looked to be barely 12, dressed in an aquamarine greenish-blueish kimono (The Haori part of the canon dress for Nobuna)

She then noticed I was staring at her and very quickly sat at seiza, a light blush adorning her cheeks. She cleared her throat and quickly spoke to get the meeting underway. "I…Right, well I am Oda Nobuna, Daimyo of the Oda Clan. Who might you be?"

"Daimyo?" I asked, knowing something definitely isn't right here, before steeling myself, I replied, "I am Kamisaka Hiro, Former Daimyo of the Kamisaka Clan."

"Former Daimyo, Kamisaka-dono?"

"Yes Oda-dono, my clan has fought bravely against 3 different armies before falling to the enemy, I and my retainers barely escaped with our lives and have been wondering ever since."

"Hmu…and why are you here then? If you've come to ask for my assistance, then you'd be greatly mistaken in relying on my youthful naivety."

"Sumimasen, Oda-dono, if that is what you picked up from my words, but no, I did not come here for assistance. My clan and realm has fallen, there will be no return for them, this I know. I have come, instead to offer my loyalty to you, Oda-dono, if you would have me." I say as I unclasp my Ko-Dachi from the Hakubutai and laid it in front of me, a traditional show of fealty. I then unsheathed my Metezashi and held it steady over my own heart. "Upon my honor, my life is yours, Daimyo-sama." I spoke strongly, hiding my nervousness, "Upon this oath, know that I am yours to command."

My act has clearly shaken the occupants of the room, as wide eyes are received throughout the room. I look up at the Oda Daimyo and waited for a signal of sorts.

"I…I don't…" She stuttered.

I took it as a sign of rejection, I nodded in resignation and made to stab myself, hoping I would be lucky and would die quickly. Just as my blade made contact with the fabric of my clothes, a slender but strong hand gripped my wrists, a loud noise screamed at me. I looked up to see who had stopped me and saw the Oda Daimyo, tears streaking down her face, mouth opened in what appeared to be a continuous sound, but the blood rushing through my head meant I couldn't hear a word she was saying. She continues to yank on my hands, pulling the blade further away from my chest. I look down to see a small splotch of blood form, it appears the blade was sharp enough to pierce the skin, however minor it would seem.

Those hands grasped my shoulders as I felt another pair of hands hold a piece of cloth to my chest, stemming the flow of blood. I returned my gaze forward as the concerned face of Nobuna hovered in front of me. By now the blood rush had cleared and I was able to hear things one again.

"Hiro! I accept! I accept your oath! Please, please don't kill yourself!" She shouted in my face; panic clearly having settled in her eyes.

"I see, I thank you, Daimyo-sama." I turn to the other girl holding the piece of cloth. "Thank you for the cloth, I will be fine Ms?"

"I am Niwa Nagahide, Kamisaka-dono. That is not a very wise thing to do Kamisaka-dono."

"Thank you, Niwa-dono. As I said, I will be fine. Lest Daimyo-sama decides otherwise." I enforce, grasping the cloth and wiping off the last of the blood. We both turn to the still shocked Daimyo. 'Ah…I never took this into account, but I've just realized that Nobunaga was born in 1534, if this year is 1556, then Nobuna should be 22 years old. She definitely does not look like a 22-year-old, it also means that my limited knowledge of the Sengoku Jidai is wildly off.' I sighed in resignation as I moved to face my Daimyo.

"Daimyo-sama, I apologize for my actions, I hadn't realized that your response would be so…negative," I say, head bowed infront of Nobuna.

"I, yes…yes it's fine. I apologize as well for this." She replies with a shaking voice. "I must retire to my chambers, Nagahide-san, please take over." She says as she leaves the room in a hurry.

After Smoothening the story out with Nagahide, I was assigned temporary accommodation within the castle until the next day, where hopefully Nobuna would be of a more stable heart and mind.

I pulled out my phone again and typed in Oda Nobuna and immediately received results. From where the satellite was for the Internet, I know not, but I cursed my employee's name nearly immediately. Before I had to close the restaurant, she was bugging me to watch a charming little Isekai Anime regarding the Sengoku Jidai era with cute Anime Girls instead of Heart-steady warlords. I brushed her off as I saw little value in it, and now I am 99% certain that I had Isekai'd myself into that exact world.

I read up as much as possible regarding this world, trying to place names to faces. I gave up trying to learn the people outside of the Oda clan very quickly though, far too many to remember and know. I shut it off and settled in the simple bed given to me after painstakingly removing the Yoroi aand placing it on the stand that was provided to me.

A little time spent staring at the armor gave rise to the realization that my Armor, which was supposed to be Kozanegusoku is instead of the Toseigusoku variety. Chalking it up to weird Isekai fuckery, I ignored it and slept in my underclothes.

AN: Well, that's it for the Prelude, there will be a time skip to the canon era in the next chapter, I just needed something to introduce my OC to Nobuna without using Family. If you don't like it, then don't read, mmkay?
