Author's Note:

As previous mention there is a new chapter 01. That just called Chapter 01 since it just setting up the story and following the POV of the three main characters.

Within a two story building there was a certain doctor's office located within the United States of America. Keith and Sali David were waiting to hear from the doctor about what they had to say in regards to their daughter that they had brought in to be examined today.

"It says here that you are not the biological mother of Angie. Is that correct" the doctor there had asked

"Yes, I am her stepmother as her mother was her father's former wife though they had a falling out shortly after she was born. Which eventually led to him getting divorced so that we could get married" she explained

"I see so that is why she is called Angie Destine instead of Angie David then," the doctor asked looking at the clipboard they had in their hands

"Though I had a falling out with her mother. She is still her mother thus I decided that she would keep her mother's last name instead of mine. She is aware of that being her birth mother's last name but has only known Sali growing up as a motherly figure though" Keith told him.

The doctor then when on to explain about Angie's quirk from what they could see of it given the information that they had gathered from her parents. Her father was the Pro Hero known as Goliath whose quirk was a hardening one as he could become a type of living stone on command when exposed to light. He also had the appearance of what seemed to be a gargoyle as well.

"I recall there was an old show that used to come on TV that had a gargoyle named Goliath as the main character. Could be it that because of your appearance that your hero name is based off them" the doctor said.

"I and my former wife were big fans of that show growing up," he said.

"Apparently so were his parents as that why he was named Keith as well" Sali added.

Keith then went on to explain that Angie's mother had a quirk that cause her to switch between a normal human form and gargoyle like form that Keith had all the time. She could not control when she changed as it happened with the rising and setting of the sun. At night she had a gargoyle form and during the day she had a human one.

"Is it okay for you to be telling the details of her quirk like that though when she is not here herself?" the doctor asked

"It is not like she can hide what her quirk is and that pretty much everything that it does as she can not control it though it does wake her up at the crack of dawn every day as changes forms" he informed him.

The doctor merely nodded before looking at a statue that was on a dolly her father had brought in with him.

This statue was none other than his young daughter Angie who just standing there looking at herself with a confused looked on her face.

"It seems that she had developed a quirk that similar to her mother's but her other form is based off your hardening though," the doctor said.

"She can not move as she is motionless and I am not even sure if any of her senses are working nor if she is aware of what going on around her at the moment" Sali stated.

"It possible that because her mother's quirk is the base that she become just normal stone rather than living stone like her father" the doctor informed them both

After running some tests amongst other things that done to figure out just exactly how Angie's quirk seemed to work they learned several things about it. Through everything they put her through they discovered that various mutations had happened to make her quirk both superior and at the same time inferior to her parents. Her stone form was discovered to be virtually unbreakable as while she was in that form she took no damage at all from seemingly anything that was thrown at her. Nothing in a normal sense was able to harm her at all as she even once got struck by a car...and hurt both the car and the driver.

Angie saw the car coming and then just stood there as she was petrified both literally and figuratively at that moment. Of course, she was not considered at fault for the injuries nor the damage done to both the car and the driver. She just remained root the spot where the accident happened leading to the next big thing discovered about her quirk.

While Angie could control when she changed into her stone form, she was not aware of anything that happened to her during that time, however. Her mind would go blank and return to normal until she did as well. Thus the length of time she would remain in her stone form was one she had to decide in advance. Everyone helping her learned the length of time she could stay in that form was eight hours a day. The hours did not have to be constant it was just eight hours out of every day she would be in her stone form. She could spread out the time over the course of the day or spend it all at once. Either way that was how she was going to be spending eight hours of her days from now on.

Another thing that was discovered about Angie's quirk is that she no longer needed to sleep anymore. She got her eight hours of sleep while in her stone form somehow. Thus while she could still be rendered unconscious through various means none of those considered her being asleep anymore. Also meant she could no longer daydream just be spaced out, in a daze, or just thinking about something too hard
