Chapter 7
I don't own Killing Bites or Destiny or Bungie in any shape or form.
Guest I update stories due to either interest such as follows or reviews, if I get inspired or I have worked out how a future chapter is going to look, because of this I often have more written in my head than I do on paper.
Story Start
"But before any of that happens, you have one last fight." I said
"Who against? A knight? An ogre? Some advocates or a combination of all?" asked Ui "Just no wizards or witches please."
"No nothing like next and last fight will be against me." I state as we walk towards one of the largest rooms. Large desolate plain that seemed to go on forever. "What do you have to say about that?"
"That I want my witches and wizards back." snarked Ui making me smirk
"Relax, I'm not going full out. I won't use any light abilities just physical and melee and I won't wear any amour how's that sound?" I ask
"Sounds better, but I still want one thing." said Ui
"What is that?" I ask
"Not you, Casper?" asked Ui before Casper floated over to her before they had a whispered conversation

As the music started booming Ui loosened her joints
"Nice choice." I remark
"Thanks, I thought my first fight against you deserved something special." said Ui as she took a loosened guard, fingers curled but not yet a closed fist. Left fist out in front with right closer to her face, feet similarly placed on the ground.
When the base hit she charged, throwing a knee into my ribs which I blocked with my left hand. Twisting around she tried to do a heel kick to my head which I blocked with my right forearm.
At first I was afraid, I was afraid
Going on the offensive I threw a 1-2-3 combo at her face, holding back just enough so it wouldn't shatter anything. Not that it mattered, she just ducked under each one before trying to sweep my leg, to which I responded with a kick to her stomach that had her sliding back.
Down in the darkness I was crawling through the human race
Clutching her side slightly she upped her game, throwing multiple fast blows, some of which connected painfully, others I dodged or blocked. The last one being an axe kick strong enough to crack the floor which I jumped back to avoid.
I heard the voices through the dark
(Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh)
Keeping on the offensive Ui used her rear claws to gain extra traction, allowing her to increase her speed while still being able to turn on a dime
So I beat my fist against my chest, against my heart
Appearing on my left she throws a jab, I move out of the way and try to retaliate but she's already behind me throwing a roundhouse kick.
Hey-ho!
Catching the leg I attempt to hold her but she uses her free leg to springboard off my chest.
Hear the sound
She lands on all fours, with both front and rear claws gripping the dirt and takes a stance that resembles Brute Tigers
We are the underground
Charging at me and past me, targeting my legs and sides as she did so, wise choice. Some fighters can go on without a functioning arm but a lot less can do the same if it was a leg. It would be a good tactic in the upcoming Destroyal
Hey-ho!
I was able to dodge her first pass, but by the time I'd turned around she was already in the process of a second pass and her claws tore into my side.
Rising up
She continued with this tactic. Front, back, left, right. Mixing claws up with the occasional bludgeoning blow of a paw.
We're not afraid of fighting
She seemed to be using her strategy of wearing down her opponent before using slower and more powerful blows.
I've finally found my place
It was a good plan, slowly but surely the blows would weaken me making it easier to take me out.
I put the war paint on my face
'In fact I can already feel the odds shifting in her favour and unless I turned things around soon it would be hard to pull victory. ' I thought to myself as I narrowly avoid a paw 'Without using light she's definitely faster than me and in a few years she'll be much faster than me even when I'm using light but for now she still lacks experience which gives me an edge.'
And I'm ready to give (Hey!)
The next time Ui comes around I managed to grab her wrist, stopping the attack.
Whatever it takes
Undeterred Ui goes to attack me with her other hand, her paw aimed directly at my head.
Standing at the edge of the fire
With both arms occupied she tries a kick which I block with my knee
Fighting for the will to survive
Looking into my eyes Ui suddenly grins
I feel it burning under my skin
Grabbing onto me in turn Ui rolls backwards pulling me with her before she pushes me away with her powerful legs
And I'm back on my feet again
This is the feeling
Studying me she keeps her distance, looking for any weakness, any opening that she created or could create
I can't believe it
My heart is bleeding out
Seeing none big enough Ui decided to change tactics, backing off and seemed to contrate
Now I'm dangerous
Energy started to flow around Ui, a pink like flame dancing over her skin and her muscles bulked up slightly.
Feeding the fire
Eyes, snapping open she charged. Much faster than before, faster than I could react and her knee hit my ribs and I could feel them crack and break
Higher and higher
She follows up with a double high kick forcing me back
Rising up, rising up
As I try to get some distance all I can think of is how Ui's come so far. 'It was difficult for her at first but she rose to the challenge, and look at her now.' I thought
Now I'm dangerous
Still trying to put some ground between us I keep thinking 'Evidently she's been keeping some progress to herself, so at the very least she should be able to hold her own long enough against the big hitters to escape, not that the likes of Brute Bear could keep up with her.'
Silence the voices in my head
Unfortunately, Ui seems unwilling to give up any ground and continued to follow me throwing quick punches
I picked my poison now, I'll drink it to the bitter end
Which I proceeded to block, before aiming a kick at her stomach
Hey-ho! Hear me now!
Leaning back Ui was able to avoid it before aiming another kick at my head and nearly getting it
I take on the darkness by myself
She's fighting more aggressive, her previous style was more guerilla, in and out were as now she seems to be trying to get in as many blows as possible'. I thought to myself as Ui unleashes a barrage of kicks.
'Cause I'm ready to give (Hey!)
'With my injuries holding me back, I don't think I can win. I don't have full mobility which would have been the only way I could have turned this fight around. So unless she makes a mistake this fight should nearly be over, next time I'm using light to at least empower my blows.'
Whatever it takes
Forced to play defensive I didn't have the opportunity to place nearly the same amount of blows on Ui that I was before.
Standing at the edge of the fire
Twisting out of the way of a kick I try to respond with a punch only for her to basically flow around it
I don't know how I ever survived
Taking the opening I left her she responded with a knee which I barely stopped with my own
I feel it burning under my skin
For a moment we stayed like that...frozen in time
And now I'm back on my feet again
Then I was trying to stop her from jamming my diagram into my throat
This is the feeling
I can't believe it
After a few more blows traded I noticed that Ui started slowing down and started breathing heavily
My heart is bleeding out
'So this extra speed and strength comes at a cost, maybe I can turn this around.' I thought 'I just need to buy time.'
Now I'm dangerous
It was becoming easier and easier to respond to Ui's attacks as her speed got closer and closer to her original speed
Feeding the fire
Realising that I was on to her weakness and that she was running out of steam Ui backed off and once again concentrated
Higher and higher

Now I'm dangerous
The energy that previously flowed off Ui changed. Going from a flame dancing off her skin to looking like she was in the middle of a small bonfire.
This is the feeling
Her next attack broke the arm I used to block, before following up with more
I can't believe it
Each blow that connected caused unbelievable damage, whether I blocked or not
My heart is bleeding out
Her next attack was a flying kick to my side, driving what had to be at least three to four ribs into my lungs making me cough out blood
Now I'm dangerous
Falling to the ground I could only say one thing "fuck."
Feeding the fire
The energy flowing off Ui gone she could only pant "I HUFF HUFF win." before she collapsed alongside me, her Therianthorpe transformation fading completely

As we lay there and the music faded I only had one thing to say, "Where did that come from?" I ask I finally allowing my light to heal my injuries
"I noticed that whenever you gave me your light I felt stronger. So I spent some time trying to recreate that feeling and eventually exceeded. I was able to create something that was basically like kaioken that basically supercharges my speed and strength. Unfortunately, I can't hold the form for long yet due to how much it drains my stamina." said Ui
"Well let's see if we can increase your duration." I said as I create a healing rift
Soon enough we were back on our feet.
"Okay, as far as I can see you're one of the five most powerful Therianthorpes in the upcoming Destroyal, especially considering your ability to supercharge your Therianthorpe abilities." I said "So how about we see how long you can make the supercharge last, Casper can you play The Brave and the Bold by Disturbed?"
Sometime later, at an unknown residence on the same night
"I heard that you were quite insistent on meeting me, may I ask why?" asked a middle-aged man with glasses, owner of a small yet successful timber export business
"As you no doubt know I'm the financer of Hitomi, and as such we will be allies in the upcoming destroyal."
"Yes, although when I found out my piece was such a weak individual I almost reconsidered and if Mrs Ishida hadn't needed me I would have likely reconsidered." said Mito Inota
"You shouldn't, if I could swap Hitomi for Ui without arising suspicion I would." I said
"Hmmm...why would you do that, Hitomi is clearly the superior piece. Not only when compared to Ui but well over half of the other Brutes as well?" asked Mito
"Tell me, have you ever been to Australia?" I asked
"I have not." replied Mito
"Do you know the of the things you should keep an eye out for when riding a horse?" I ask
"One of those 'Drop Bears or one of those snakes?"
"Drop Bears are just something we make up for the tourists and while you need to keep an eye out for snakes you also need to keep an eye out for wombats. Or more accurately...their burrows." I answer
"Why?" asked Mito
"Picture it, your going 20,30, 40 or even going full out at 80 km an hour on horseback. When suddenly one of it's legs gets trapped in a hole breaking it and probably your neck as well as your thrown off." I described
"What are you saying?" asked Mito, wanting to get to the point
"The Destroyal is a battle sure, but it is also a race and you have the only wombat while everyone else has a horse. Picture it, a lot of the others are bringing the heaviest hitters they can but they are more or less the same, they all fight on the surface. While Ui can also battle underground, sure she may not be a match for say...Brute Bear." I said lying "But if Bear fell into a pit I doubt he'd be able to climb his way out and even if he did it would take him out of the Destroyal for at least 10-20 minutes if not more and by then it could be all over. And what if he fell down and broke his leg? I doubt even Brute Tiger could get out of that situation, also Ui could always use the tunnels to escape until she can counter." I suggested
"Your right, Brute Rabbit could add a new dimension to the Destroyal that the others wouldn't see coming or plan for. But tell me, why are you here? As in why are you really here?"
"I want you to work with me, to have Ui act as support." I said before going into greater detail
"To be honest Mrs Ishida has already asked me to do something similar, but this goes beyond her suggestions. With your request Brute Rabbit will likely be more...involved." responded Mito
"Trust me, she can handle it."
"And even if she can, why should I go along with it? Whats in it for me?" akse Mito
"How does being the finacer of the next Killing Bites Champion sound? I also have some previous winnings from Hitomi if that's not enough." I said
"Hold on, you expect Brute Rabbit to be the champion? Why in kami's name would you think that?" asked Mito "Sure she might me more useful than I first thought but I have no reason to believe that she'll be the last one standing."
"That's what the money's for, and with her burrows she'll have something that none of the others will. A safe place to hide, she can nap and recover knowing that if another Brute tries to sneak up on her she can literally bury them while another Brute bleeds out wondering if they're about to be attacked."
After some more discussing we'd come to an agreement, in return for most of the money I made off of Hitomi, Mito agreed to follow my lead.
Mito Inota is a made-up character as I couldn't find out who Ui's financer was, I had I limited down to either the guy with glasses opersite to Nomoto or the Old bald guy in white
For those who think I made Ui too strong or Callum to weak I just want to say Callum wasn't using any light. He was basically a flightless guardian just like he was after Gaul cut off the light (except not wounded from a fall from the lower atmosphere) also even without light guardians are a lot stronger than civilians. I want Ui to be around Brute Cheeta or Brute Gecko (near Brute Tiger if she uses supercharge), or for Destiny 1 fans between the time you first revived and the time you go back to kill your first decently powerful captain. If Ui didn't break Callum's ribbs when he did than maybe she would have lost.
