Third-Person PoV: The Big House

Hecate strolled into the Meeting Room, her shoulders were rolled back and head held up high as the demigods quietened and knelt onto the ground. Lazily, she waved a hand in the air, "Rise demigods." They obeyed and stood up to settle back into their seats. "Since you've all learned the history of the Wizarding World I do believe that it is now time for you all to start learning magic." a sly smile slipped onto her lips as energy buzzed around the room.

"Finally," Butch grunted.

"But to do magic, you'll all need wands." The Goddess of Magic, Crossroads, and Necromancy snapped her fingers and a stack of boxes appeared on the ping-pong table, they were slim and long, almost like they contained daggers in them. She picked one at the top of the pile and her emerald eyes settled onto Reyna first. "Reyna, I'm giving you a wand made from Holly wood and Dragon Heartstring. Those who use Holly wood tend to be good leaders and effective counsellors, they are also able to have a great understanding of the darkness in humanity which they can use to help others. Wands with Dragon Heartstring are powerful and forge strong bonds with the owner and go well in the practice of the dark arts." Reyna took the box from Hecate and opened it to reveal a sleek, dark wand that rested comfortably in a bed of plush velvet, she gently picked it up, at the end cap of the wand a star sapphire was encrusted, rubies were placed at each point of the star seen on the sapphire, along the handle Bellona's symbols of a military helmet and a torch was carve into the wood. The power of the wand seemed to thrum underneath her fingers.

"Lou Ellen, my daughter, I gift you an Elm wand with a Phoenix Feather core. Elm wands go well with wizards that have a strong presence and magical dexterity, it allows the owner of the wand to have fewer errors when casting spells and to perform the most elegant charms. A Phoenix Feather core has the greatest range when performing although they can act on their own at times." Lou Ellen was handed another box which she rushed to open, the wood was a light brown, its shape reminded Lou Ellen of the banisters that you would see in an old house, like a Victorian design. A chunk of black obsidian molded as a square was encrusted in the end cap, it was surrounded by small dots of moonstone. On the handle of the wand, her mother's symbol of the triple moon was craved around the entire handle, at the centre of each moon a dog was shown to be sitting. When Lou Ellen picked up her wand it seemed to vibrate and shoot out sparks of green light that fizzled out as they started to float back down.

"Annabeth, this is a Beech wand with a Thunderbird Tail feather core. Those matched with a Beech wand are often wise beyond their years and become rich in understanding and experience when fully grown. A Thunderbird Tail feather core is powerful and difficult to master, but if it senses that it's in danger it will cast curses by itself." Annabeth's wand was a very light brown, it bulged out slightly after the handle. at the end cap, an oval-shaped lapis lazuli was encrusted, a circle of turquoise stones swirled around lapis lazuli. Branches of olives were carved into the wood with various owls resting on the branches or captured mid-flight.

"Clovis, I also gift you a Beech wand but with a Dragon Heartstring Core. The wand wood and the core allow you to have powerful magic, especially in transfiguration." Clovis took his time to reach for the box that Hecate gave him and opened it to see his light brown wand resting on the velvet cushions. The handle of the wand seemed to twist on itself, reminding the son of Hypnos of a unicorn horn, at the end cap he saw a circle of alternating hematite and labradorite. Poppies climbed up the twist along the handle with water seeming to be carved in it as well.

"Rachel, I gift you a Pine wand with a Unicorn Hair core, a wand made of Pine wood are independent and are known for their creativity towards new methods and spells, a Unicorn Hair core bonds strongly with the user and is consistent in its magic," Rachel smirked as she lifted her wand from the box, the shaft of the wand was shaved to reveal the lighter colour underneath the dark bark of the wood, the handle of the wood was left unshaved. In the end cap, a teardrop shape of yellow topaz was encrusted into it surrounded by six pieces of sunstone. On the handle, ravens were carved in midflight, their beaks open as if they were singing, the lyre was carved in on the back and front of the handle.

"Nico, you shall have a Yew wand with a Rougarou Hair core, a Yew wand is good in the uses of duelling and casting curses while the Rougarou Hair Core has an affinity for the uses of Dark magic. Your wand may make some of the wizards at Hogwarts wary but many of their rumours about wandlore are nonsense." Nico shrugged at the goddess's words, not bothered by having people be wary of him. The wand was pale, the end cap bulged out slightly, and another bulge between the handle and shaft. A circle of jet was placed at the centre of the end cap and three squares of obsidian surrounded it. Engraved on the handle of his wand skulls and bones were shaped onto it, images of screech owls were also shown to rest on a few skulls.

"Jason, I give you a Poplar wand with a Horned Serpent Horn core, Poplar wands rely on the strength and uniform power but perform best when the user of the wand is of clear moral vision, the core of your wand is sensitive to Parseltongue users and can warn their owners of danger by emitting a musical tone." Jason took his wand out and stepped back to examine it, the wood of the wand was light and was indented where the handle met the shaft. At the end cap a triangle of blue agate was embedded, at the three corners of it were circles of sapphire. On the handle of his wand were carvings of clouds and eagles that wove through the storm clouds on the wood.

"Thalia, you shall have a Red Oak wand with a Jackalope Antler Core, Red Oak wands are excellent for duelling due to their fast reactions, the users of these types of wands are often adaptable and quick-witted. A Jackalope Antler core is powerful and its owners are confident and excel in spells that are plant or lightning-based." Thalia smirked as she picked up her wand, glad that it wasn't made from Pine wood. The handle of the wand was thinner than the rest of the wand, the end cap bulged out more with a bulb between the handle and the shaft. At the bottom of the end cap, an oval of blue zircon rested in the centre surrounded by ovals of moonstone with lightning bolts being used as arrows as they were shot out across the handle of the wand.

"Katie, I give to you an Alder wand with a White River Monster Spine core, an Alder wand has owners that are often helpful and considerate, if matched right they are fiercely loyal to its master, the wand is best suited for non-verbal spellwork. The White River Monster Spine core produces spells that are forceful yet elegant when cast." Katie held up her wand and run her fingers along the wood, it was dark with a double bump between the handle and shaft. The end cap has a small chunk of almandine garnet at its centre, with six circles of topaz around it. Decorated on the shaft were sheaves of wheat that seemed to shift in an invisible wind, turtle doves flew above the endless field.

"Percy, here is a Cedar wand with a Phoenix Feather Core, a Cedar wand goes well with owners that are perceptive and often shock opponents when challenged, a good combination with a Phoenix Feather Core which allows there to be good variety when using magic." Percy picked up his wand and twirled it in his hand, the colour of the wood was slightly on the darker side and was simple in design with a bulb between the handle and shaft. At the end cap, a Mother-of-pearl rested in the centre, turquoise gems surrounded the Mother-of-pearl in a starfish pattern. Waves and seafoam were carved into the handle, dolphins and hippocampi swam within the waves on the wood.

"Clarisse, take this Blackthorn wand with a Horned Serpent Horn Core, Blackthorn wands are best suited for warriors but to become truly boned to them one must go through danger or hardship with the owners once they have the wand will remain loyal. This wand does go spectacularly well with a Horned Serpent Horn core as it will warn you of any danger, the perfect combination for a warrior." Clarisse's chest was puffed out as she reached for the wand and held it with confidence, the wood was dark and had spikes sticking out on the shaft, the handle curved upwards at a slight angle. On the end cap, an oval of red agate was embedded into the dark wood, a square of five bloodstones was positioned around the red agate. Carved into the handle, four horses galloped around breathing fire from their mouths, on each horse an armoured warrior sat on their backs, a bloodstained spear was raised to the sky in victory.

"Hazel, I bestow to you a Fir wand with a Basilisk Horn Core, Fir wands require power and strength of purpose within their owners, they particularly like owners that are strong-minded and have an intimidating demeanor, which makes them quite well for Transfiguration. A Basilisk Horn Core is good for magic in the dark arts, especially in spells that intend significant harm against those who oppose you." Hazel pinched her lips as she carefully took her wand into her hands, from the end cap to the handle the wood was dark while the shaft was shaved away to reveal a lighter wood. A large diamond was encrusted in the centre of the end cap, black tourmaline formed a triangle around the bright gem. An image of a cavern was carved into the handle, mountains of gold and gems rose high into the cave, at the top of each mountain a black ram stood.

"Piper, you shall have an Alder wand with a core of Wampus Cat Hair, Alder wands are often unyielding yet it's helpful and considerate and is a good wand for non-verbal spells, paired with the Wampus Cat Hair core it aids owners to cast non-verbal Legilimency and hypnosis spells with less effort." Piper picked up her Alder wand, turning it around in her hand a running a finger down the side of it, the tone of the wood was between just a slightly dark brown, the end cap of the wand flowered into a rose. The daughter of Aphrodite rolled her eyes, having a feeling that her mother was somehow involved with it, on the rose gems of rose quartz and pearls were embedded into the petals. Carved along the handle doves, seashells and hearts were placed like a wallpaper pattern.

"Will, use this Hawthorn wand with a core of Unicorn Hair well, Hawthorn wands are great for healing and for curses, although you will have trouble using the wand if you're going through some inner turmoil since it's been paired with a Unicorn Hair core it will have a strong bond with you if you prove yourself worthy." Will grinned as he carefully lifted his wand from the box that Hecate handed to him, the wand was dark with a prominent woody texture, two bumps were between the handle and the shaft of the wand. At the end cap, a citrine stone was nestled in the centre while carnelians surrounded it in a circle. Decorated along the handle were swans with their wings open in display and images of bows releasing arrows.

"Connor, I give you a Sycamore wand with a Curupira Hair core, Sycamore wands live for excitement and new adventures and also has the ability to quickly adapt and learn from new experiences, a Curupira Hair core goes well with this, they have an affinity for powerful yet unpredictable wizards which is excellent for an adventurous soul." Connor chuckled as he tosses the wand in the air, catching it in his hand, pointedly ignoring Hecate's frown. The wand was lightly coloured and fairly simple in design yet elegant, with a single bump between the wand shaft and the handle, between the handle and the end cap the wood narrowed before flaring out again at an angle. At the bottom of the end cap, an agate jutted out while around the circular sides of the end cap pebbles of hematite were embedded in it, along the handle tortoises walked after purses overflowing with riches.

"Travis, here is a Dogwood wand with a Dragon Heartstring core, Dogwood wands are mischievous with a playful nature and are capable of performing difficult spells under harsh conditions which are paired well with a Dragon Heartstring core that can perform powerful spells." Travis grinned as he took his wand, it was dark and curved up at an angle on the handle. On the end cap, a large oval of amber rested, at three points up the handle dots of yellow topaz ran up till it reached where the handle would meet the shaft and it was cut off by a line of more yellow topazes that curved around the wood. Carved into the space remaining on the handle hares sat on their hind legs gazing up at winged sandals that flew overhead.

"Leo, take this Maple wand with a core of Phoenix Feather, Maple wand go well for Wixen who prefer to travel and require a change of scenery and fresh challenges, a Phoenix Feather core matches well since it's able to learn the most varied of spells." Leo examined the lightly wooded wand, it had a long shaft a bump separating the shaft and handle with another bump between the handle and end cap where it curved at the bottom. On the end cap, two rings of red agate surrounded an oval of carnelian. Decorated along the handle fire raged while an assortment of tools rained down into it.

"Butch I want you to have this Hazel wand with a Phoenix Feather core, Hazel wands are good for individuals who can manage their emotions, they're also able to detect when there is water underground and will give off puffs of smoke when they pass over, this goes well with a Phoenix Feather core as your stable emotional state will make it easier to learn more varied magic." Butch nodded as he clutched his wand in his hand and looked it over, it was a medium tone of brown, and the shaft of the wand curved slightly from side to side. At the end cap a chunk of rainbow moonstone was embedded in the centre, around it in a square rainbow obsidian, on the handle etched in were rainbows, with clouds that has sunlight poking through.

"Frank, use this Ebony wand with a core of Kneazle Whisker, Ebony wands are great for those with the courage to be different and excel in transfiguration paired with a Kneazle Whisker core, while not very powerful, is able to alert the owner of untrusty individuals and is protective of the wizard," Frank mumbled thanks to Hecate and examined the wood in his hands. It was darkly coloured wood, glossy and elegant, it was thick at the end cap and thin at the end of the shaft. At the end cap in a small circle beads of red agate sat in the centre, surrounding it were circles of azurite. Carved onto the handle were waves running across the waves are dogs and horses with their manes on fire.

"Clovis, take this Vine wand with a core of Snallygaster Heartstring, Vine wands are great for wizards who are able to see beyond the ordinary this is excellent when paired with a Vine wand as it has a curious nature to explore more." Clovis reached for his wand and peered down at it, it was lightly coloured and seemed to twist in on itself, on the end cap a teardrop of amethyst rested in the centre around it hematite formed a teardrop shape too. On the handle, a field of poppies was carved as well as the branches of a Poplar tree.

"And lastly Pollux, take this Reed wand that has a Unicorn Hair core, Reed wands are good for those who are bold and protective of their friends." Pollux picked up his wand, rolling it over in his hand to look at all the details, it was a medium tone of brown and was relatively straight with an indent between the handle and shaft, on the end cap crystals of amethyst jutted out, catching the light and lines of purple dazzled around the room. Decorating the handle vines of grapes wrapped around it along with figs and berries.

The demigods murmured amongst themselves as they compared wands and began speculating the kind of spells that they'd be better at and would be weak at, attempting to find what areas of spellwork some would be better at so that others could cover that weakness. Hecate gave a weak smile and closed her eyes, it seemed that her plan was going well, now came the more challenging part, teaching them spells, she could only hope that they wouldn't start waving their wands at each other before learning any spells.

"TRAVIS STOLL PUT ME DOWN THIS INSTANT YOU SHIT!" Clarisse belted out, vines had rooted themselves in the ground and dangled the daughter of Ares up in the air.

"I didn't do it!"

"IT DEFINITELY WAS YOU, THIS IS REVENGE FROM LAST WEEK!" Clarisse was too busy boring holes into Travis's eyes to notice that Katie had pinched her lips together and gazed in the other direction, her wand held behind her back.

"Take a chill pill chica, I'll get you down." Leo stepped forwards and began waving his wand.

"Uhhh Leo I don't think you shou-" Hazel was interrupted by said Latino as he waved his wand about.

"Abracadabra!" A column of fire shot towards her, while it worked in burning the vines it also set the Drakon slayer on fire.

"LEO YOU FUCKING-" She then found herself soaking wet. Clarisse sighed, forcefully lowering her shaking hands that curled into tight fists, her teeth ground together. "I'm giving you five seconds to run."

Percy wasted no time in grabbing Leo by the collar, he let out a choking sound as he was dragging, and lept out the window, rolling onto the deck of the Big House and hopping over the railing and dashing down the hill, Leo not far behind him. Travis slowly backed away from the ping pong table giving a thumbs up and a wobbly smile before he turned and ran out as fast as he could.

"PREPARE TO LOSE YOUR KNEECAPS ASSHOLES!" Clarisse belted out, a sword in her hand as she chased after them.

Hecate sighed, yes, this would be easy.
