I want to apologize again for how long it took me to post a new chapter of this fanfic. Its been hard dealing with a lot of things in my life but I am getting to a better place. One of the things I felt like I needed to do was revising this fic which took some time but I got through the task. I thank Phantom0408 for pointing that out, along with kronos797 for pointing out a mistake I made a while ago. I know that I will make mistakes as I write this fic and I am grateful to anyone that points them out to me. I will take it as a sign that I need to improve on how I log thing along with how I write. Right now, I am feeling good enough to post my next chapter but not enough to answer questions and comments. I will make sure to put them in my next chapter that I already have a draft that I am working on. Also, sorry for this one being shorter than the last one. I also wanted to keep my message as a reminder to others and myself about why it took me so long to do this and you don't need to read it if you don't feel like it.

The reason behind this is because of something about me that led to this point. I am an autistic person, and I tend to fixate on negative things, especially when it comes to my anxieties. There is also how communication isn't my forte, and I should have given you all some form of a message on this sooner. It all started with this downward spiral that began with something negative that happened online, and it had nothing to do with . It affected not only my mentality but also my physical health as well. I couldn't even get the proper strength to write this story for all of you, and that I even started to doubt that I could even write something suitable for everyone to read. It got so bad that I wanted to quit doing anything that made me happy until I started to make changes in my life. I started working on losing weight and improving my health which helped bring me out of my depressive state. It's actually been hard for me to do. However, I have gotten closer and closer to my goal, especially with how arduous last year has been. Nevertheless, I still have some work to do before reaching it. I have also started to take therapy, and my mental state has gotten better where I am working on this fanfic. I wanted to try and get it out this month. Still, I have been busy with work, responsibilities, and other activities. I hope you understand and that I am making a promise to you that new chapters will come this week. A golden glow appears from the open hand with the floating stones its envelopes the unconscious girl.

A red screen appears saying:

A blue message box appears that reads:
The status effect(s) have weakened.
The purple crystal crumbles into dust as it scatters out of his hand as he looks at Sung-Ah's status window.
"Hmmm… yes, [Black Demon's Invasion], [Fainted], and [Black Demon's Freezing] gotten a lower status and given her about 5% more MP! Alright, if I use the spell three more times, then maybe she'll get better."
3 [Astral Heals] and Mana Stones later
DING!
Failure to remove the status effect.
The status effect, [Black Demon's Invasion], has weakened.
The status effect, [Fainted] has been removed.
[Astral Heal] has leveled up.
"Hmm, [Black Demon's Freezing] and [Fainted] have been removed. So, she should wake up.", he comments as he looks down at the knocked-out student. He puts his hand down on her temple and says, "She feels warmer now and-"
Sung-Ah opens her eyes, revealing purple irises as she looks at the young boy while skirts backward in surprise. She then gets up with a stoic expression. She then bows and asks, "Did you heal me?"
A blushing Izuku shakes his head up and down in response.
"Thank you for helping me, but I need to get to the exam.", she says as she raises her hand while the Illusion Barrier shatters. Hwan then walks up the road to UA High School as Midoriya is still lying on the ground and pink.
'I talked to a girl! *'
*You didn't talk to a girl, Midoriya.
He gets up and rushes towards the gate with a sign reading 'UA High School Entrance Examination Site.'
'Alright, this is my first step into becoming a hero!' he assured himself while shaking with excitement.
"Move out of my way, Deku!" yelled behind the Gamer as he looks to see Bakugo with visible breath. Above his head read:
Hero Wannabe

"Kacchan!"
"Get out of my way, or you're dead."
"G-g-good morning, let's do our best-" interrupted as he gets pushed aside from Kacchan's path.
He begins to fall until a hand on his shoulder grabs him as he begins to float.
"Are you okay?" a young feminine voice says as she sets him upright.
"That would be my Quirk stopping you from falling since it a bad omen fall down like that.", a teenage girl with short brown hair with two long bangs says. Over her head reads:
U.A. Student Examinee
LV: 20, Uraraka Ochako
"This sure is nerve-wracking."
"Um… uh… aaa…."
"Well, good luck to us both.", she said as she runs towards the entrance.
'I talked to another girl! *'
*Closer, but that was more like stuttering.
In the presentation room
"Welcome to today's live performance! Everybody says 'HEY'!" a yellow sunglass-wearing man with an upward spike of blond hair and clad in leather collared by a speaker device. Above his head read:
Voice Hero, Present Mic

He then hears the silence of the many examinees within the room.
"Well, that's cool, my listening examinees! I'm here to present the guidelines of your practical! Are you ready?! YEAHHHH!"
Silences followed while Midoriya mutters, "It's the actual Voice Hero, Present Mic! I listen to his radio show weekly, and it's always inspiring. All the teachers must be Pro Heroes!"
"Shut up.", spoke Katsuki next to him.
"Now, this is how the test will go down, listeners! You'll be experiencing a ten-minute-long "Mock Cityscape Maneuvers"! Bring along whatever you want after this presentation; you'll each head to your different testing location!"
"So, they are making sure students from the same school can't help each other, right?"
"And why I.D. numbers are assigned to different locations."
"I'll just crush 'em all while you get to live another day."
Izuku stayed silent from Bakugo's threat while Present Mic continued the presentation.
"Each site will be filled with streets, buildings, and three kinds of Faux Villains.", he said while showing a silhouetted Goomba, Koopa, and Piranha Plant on-screen with 1p, 2p, and 3p, respectively.
'What's with the Mario reference?'
"Points are awarded for defeating each according to their respective levels of difficulty! Use your Quirks to disable these Faux villains and earn enough points! That is your goal, Listeners! Also, trying to play the antihero and attacking your peers is prohibited!"
"May I ask a question?!" a tall young man sporting class with dark blue hair neatly combed down and a squared chin.
"There appear to be four varieties of Faux Villains on the handouts! Such a blatant error, if it is one, is highly unbecoming for U.A. as a top academy! We're here today in order to become model Heroes! And you, with the curly hair!" he said as he points to the Gamer.
"You've been muttering this whole time… It's distracting! If this is some kind of game to you, then please leave immediately!" stated the teenager as he glares intensely at Izuku.
"Sorry…", Midoriya apologizes as he covers his mouth.
"Alright, Alright. Examinee 7111, Nice catch. Thanks! But the fourth type Faux Villain gets you zero points! He's more of an obstacle! Most of you have played Super Mario Brothers?! It's kind of like a Thwomp! There is one at each site! They act as a 'gimmick' that'll rampage around in close quarters!"
"Okay, I get it… So, it like a stage gimmick that can't be avoided."
"It's really like a video game then."
"Thank you, sir; I apologize for the interruption!"
"That's all from me! I'll leave my listeners with our school motto. The French Hero Napoleon Bonaparte once said, 'True heroism consists in being superior to the ills of life.' Break a leg, everyone! Plus Ultra!"
Practical Test Site
Izuku stands in a green tracksuit at the gates of an urban replica, stunned while people around comment.
"It looks like an actual city!"
He looks around and sees different people like one with tentacles extending from his back, a kid with a fancy belt, a drill pompadour upon another teen's head, and one who even looks like a giant black horned reptile.
'Why's everyone so confident?! Aren't they nervous?! Oh man, there's even have equipment for their Quirks, and their levels are over mine… Okay, I fought a slime, zombies, and a skeleton yokai. I can do this! Wait, it's her! Can't believe that we are at the same test site, and there's Sung-Ah, too! Oh, well, she seems to be doing fine from this morning. Maybe I should thank Uraraka for earlier….'
Midoriya walks towards her while the same dark blue-haired commentator now in a blue jumpsuit grabs his shoulder, which causes him to cringe.
"That girl seems to be doing some kind of meditation. Are you hoping to interfere?"
"That kid was acting like an idiot at the front gate."
"He flinches at a simple nudge on the shoulder."
"That's one less rival to worry about."
'Hmph, judging me on just a few instances. I know that I can do this!'
"And… Begin!"
The crowd looks up from their stupor towards the announcement title where Present Mic stands.
"What's wrong? The test's started! Run! Rush into the fray! The die has been cast!"
'[One For All: Full Cowl]'
The Gamer jumps meters into the air above his peers as they try to rush through the gate. Stunned a bit from the leap made by their peer, they then charged into the street.
He lands and starts running till he is a green blur running down the street. A building collapses with a crash comes in with a green robot with machine guns for arms with '1's on them that rides on one wheel for movement.
'[Observe]!'

In a room filled with monitors with different costumed people viewing the candidates destroying robots left and right.
"Such a wide battlefield and such small amount of time can bring out the best in them.", a Hero states.
"Intelligence gatherers are those who can assess a situation in an instant. Mobility experts are those who can use their speed for battle and life. Decision Makers those who can cope with any choice made to any given situation. And then there are those who are natural-born warriors."
"The abilities need to keep the peace in our society are judged by the points they can earn."
"This year's batch seems to be quite the bonanza, huh?"
"Nah. No way to know yet. But this should let us more…", says one of the heroes uncovers a button labeled 'Yaruki Switch,' "but this should tell us more…."

Midoriya looks down below to see a wrecked Two Pointer seeing other exam takers destroying Faux Villains. At the same time, some try to escape as the robotic enemies follow.
'Alright, I have 26 points, but there's not that much time left and… Wait, that's-', Izuku thinks while seeing a familiar light brown-haired girl running from a dented, burned, and scratched Three Pointer coming at her. He then charges at the big machine and blasts water at the metal construct as it falls apart in a wet heap. Sung-Ah then collapsed onto her knees while gasping as drops of sweat rolls down on her face.
'Oh man, what do I say?! I just saved her life! Maybe I should ask if I could help her? Yes, I-', he thinks as he notices the girl running down the street. He then hears a large crash behind as he sees a giant green robot taller than the other buildings as its claws crush structures while slowly moving forward. It then smashes the street as large pieces of concrete fly headlong while examinees try to run away. He notices Uraraka under rumble as she tries to break free as the giant automaton loudly creeps up. Izuku then leaps up several stories right up to the head of the machine as he winds up a punch.
"[DETROIT SMMMMAAAAASSSSHHH]!" he yells while punching the face of the green giant. The head dent from the force as the red lens shatters while pressure travels through the metal frame. A hole erupts on the other end as mechanical pieces crash as the Arena Trap collapses backward.

The rest of the examinees look in awe at the destruction of the obstacle as Midoriya falls.
'I think I can survive the fall, but what happened to her-,' he thinks as he is slapped on the face by the brown-haired girl floats on a machine part. Izuku floats as Ochako then closes her finger together and says, "Release." Both teens fall to the ground while she holds her mouth until she retches onto the floor.
'She saved me… Is she hurt? I have to see-'
"IT'S ALL OVER!"
"That guy."
"What was that...?"
"He just jumped at that thing…."
"Must have a strength-enhancing Quirk, but… that was something different."
"But with a Quirk like that… how does a person can be so jumpy?"
"Was it all just to throw us off?"

'That's not it. Weren't they even watching?!' the blue-jumpsuit-clad lad thought, 'He… he jumped in to save that girl! The remaining time… and his safety… What he needed to pass. "Yes, well done.", congratulated a short elderly woman with a gray hair bun stuck together with a syringe. She wears a lab coat with a yellow and red dress an 'R' belt buckle while walking with a syringe-like cane.
"Well done. Good work. Yes, here's some Haribo for you.", she commended as she gave out gummies.
"That mademoiselle… is the backbone of U.A.", a fancy-looking blond student commented.
"Are you alright young man? That was quite the jump, but you don't seem to be injured?"
"I-I-I am alright. It's thanks to that girl mostly- Wait, you're the Youthful Heroine, Recovery Girl. Your Quirk is a rare healing one which can help someone recover but takes the person's stamina!"
"Oh shucks, you seem to be quite knowable about a lady like me, but I need to see your arms and legs to see for any problem?"
"Oh, okay!"
She then palpates Midoriya's arms and legs, 'He's not reacting, and there are no bruises or visible injuries. His body might have adapted to his Quirk and protected him.'
"Well, you seem to be fine, young man. Here, have some Haribo candy."
"Thank you, ma'am!"
'Yes…! If the set up for the exam is that way, then he…'
One Week Later, Midoriya's home
"Izuku… Izuku? Izuku?!" his mother trying to get his attention while looking dead eye at a fish's head in his chopsticks.
"Are you okay?! Why are you smiling at the fish!"
"Sorry… I'm fine…!"
'If I have calculated right, I certainly passed the written portion. But my score from the practical would make it pointless. And I haven't heard from All Might….'
"The letter should be here today or tomorrow, right?!"
"Mhm…"
"Oh! Your dear old mom thinks it's wonderful that you tried!"
"Mhm…"
'I never told mom about All Might or the Abyss, but I am curious why even though I have leveled up, yet I can't see hers. I wonder why she does have a high level… Maybe from age and other activity. They are secrets that I have to keep as for All Might to be the Symbol of Peace while also about the secret society. I can't even think about saying anything to my family. I don't know what he saw in me. I'm sorry, but… I thought I was right. All Might! I did what I thought was-'
"Izu- Izu- Izuku! Izuku! It's here! The letter! It's really here!" she cries as she gains the attention of her son while holding a letter sealed by a red stamp. In his room, Izuku is at his desk while his mother fidgets outside his door. He looks down at the dispatch until he rips it as a device falls onto the counter. It then lights with a holographic screen, then he hears, "This is a projection!", as he sees All Might's face.
"Huh?! I thought this was from U.A.?!"
"It's been a while. There's been much to deliberate on. Apologies! I'm in town for one reason only. I've come to teach at U.A."
'He's going to teach at U.A.!'
"What's that you say?! Get to it?! Whatever I want to say can be said later?! Ah, fine. Got it… Even if you pass the written portion, getting a low amount of points on the practical naturally results in failure."
'I knew it! I knew it! I knew it, but… I couldn't do it!'
"But that's not the end of the story! Let me entertain you! Please watch this screen!" as he points to a monitor in the background. The screen blips on and show Uraraka on screen and says, "Excuse me, but…", then it paused.
"Uraraka…?!"
"She came to see us right after the test! Why you ask?! Let's continue the clip!"
"Um, that one curly-haired boy… with freckles… You know the one…? He's really average-looking. Can you give him some of the points I earned?! At the end, he saved me! He might not have gotten enough points because of me… At least how many points he gave up to try and save me!" she cries to Present Mic.
"You've acquired your Quirk and have moved others with your actions."
"That boy… he saved my life!"
"This exam, we weren't watching for villain-based points!"
"I'm afraid we can't give him those points, but there shouldn't be a need for it, my listener!", All Might declared as Present Mic patted Ochako's head.
"A Hero Course rejects those who do the right thing is no Hero Course at all! Think this is all for the cameras?! In this job, you will risk your life and don't hesitate to act! Rescue Points were also a factor! Another fundamental way for U.A. to evaluate you! 60 points for Midoriya Izuku and while we're at it, 45 for Uraraka Ochako!"
"I… I never thought…."
"You're in.", he stated as he reached out his hand, "Come now, Midoriya! This will be your Hero Academia!"
'All the help I got… it changed my life.', he thought as he rubs the tears from his eyes.
"YEEEEEAAAAHHHHH!" he cried out into the night.
