I am a published author who really happens to love writing fan fiction, too. My novel, Charybda, is a teen fantasy novel about a blind seventeen-year-old girl living in a culture where physical defects are punishable by death. Her life is forever changed when she meets a young man from a different world and is pulled into a centuries old conflict between the Freemen and the wicked sorcerer Scyllorin. As she unravels the mysteries of the portals between the worlds, called Charybda, she begins to learn something disturbing about herself: she can manipulate them.

I want to issue an apology to anyone following my fanfics Matters of the Mind and The Dishonored Ones right now, because I will be unable to finish them. Original novel writing plus other fandoms have distracted me too much, not to mention I had a serious tragedy befall me last December. I only have so much energy to devote to writing at a time, and so I have to prioritize. I've kind of fallen away from the TMNT fandom; I really only liked the first two seasons of the 2012 'verse, anyway. But I'm keeping my fanfic pen name in honor of what first got me started writing fanfiction.

A little bit about me: I chose the pen name "n00btmntfan" because, when it comes to the world of TMNT, I really am a newbie. Also, I find the expression "n00b" to be hilarious. The 2012 universe is really the only one I know--though I have learned a little about the original incarnations, thanks to turtlepedia.

I had always thought the turtles were kind of dumb--but only because the concept of four turtles taught by a rat sounded odd to me. One day, however, I was flipping through channels and stumbled upon the episode "I, Monster." I immediately loved Splinter, so I started watching. After that, I came to enjoy all the aspects of the show. Though seriously, if they called it "Middle-aged Mutant Ninja Rodent" and it was all about Splinter, I would totally not complain. When I started writing my fanfics they were as canon as possible, but as the show progressed they became AU, as often happens.

Most of my fan fiction is about the 2012 iteration of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but you'll also find some Star Wars Rebels fics and some Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir fics. A lot of my writing is a little on the dark and gritty side with angsty undertones, but I'll occasionally try a foray into more light-hearted stuff.

My most popular fic is "My Sons, My Everything," so if you strayed onto my profile after reading another one of my fan fictions, you might enjoy that one.
