After seeing all the doctors, Marilyn was put back on medication. She'd tried to fight it, to explain to them that the medication clouded her head and caused her to forget things, but they wouldn't listen.
So she laid in her bunk every day, waiting for the clouds to clear.
Whenever her lawyer came to see her, she asked about Peter.
"When will I be able to see him? Is he all right? Where is he? Why won't you let me talk to him?"
But all the lawyer wanted to know was about how her dad and sister died, what happened when she went to the hospitals back in Philadelphia, when her mom died.
She told him about the medication, about the clouds, about how she'd stopped taking the medicine years and years ago to get rid of the clouds for good. How Peter had been her savior.
