AN: Hey peeps, welcome to brand new chapter and this is is a long one. The longest I think I have ever wrote. Anyway much to get into much to talk about, but big news. I have brought back the Izuku: The Quirkless Archer. When I first started writing that was a story I worked and it very popular.
I have revived it, something told me that I was going to go back to it that's why I never handed it over to anyone. That one was the most highly requested story that people wanted back and now it is live. I will update it as we go, same with this story. Right now everyone I am going to keep at two stories. Better that way. Anyway let's get to some reviews.
Reviews
Ryuujin96: I have decided to keep it as Izuku/Ochako. I won't be changing it.
crypticguy7: I agree as well one of most underrated characters and often have some of the best stories.
AnimeFan13579: Thanks for that correction. I appreciate it.
Well that it all be all guess, not that many put in reviews. But like always enjoy the chapter, review, and have a nice day.

Chapter 4: The Exams
The bus came to a stop, there was only one person that was on it outside of the driver of course. The doors opened as steps soon could be heard and they got closer and the bus driver spoke to the lone passenger. "Are you sure this is the spot?" The driver asked the teen and Izuku with his walking stick in hand nodded his head.
"Yes, thank you." Izuku stepped off the bus, he could understand why the driver was curious. The place that he was visualizing right now was a dump, a huge dump that might as well be a junkyard. Izuku walked forward, this was the place that his teacher told him to meet him at.
All Might, his teacher. It's only been a day...not even that, only a couple hours since he made the commitment to be All Might's apprentice. Izuku was geeking out or anything like that, he stayed cool about this. His former teacher was a master assassin and now he was training under the greatest hero ever.
'I go from Stick to All Might.' Izuku thought as he entered the junkyard, he could see the garbage around him, even smell it. Izuku ignored the smell, as bad it was he was not affected by it. He went days without showering and living in the woods of Stick, so the garbage was not going to be a problem for him.
Izuku stopped walking for now, he decided that he was going to wait. All Might was not here yet, Izuku would wait for now. He just stood where he stood with his hands wrapped around the hilt of the cane. The teen listened to the world around him, he could hear the ocean and with each step that he took it sounded like sand was there. Was this place a beach before it became this?
The teen didn't have to wait any longer though as his new teacher had arrived, he heard All Might weak heartbeat. That is something that it will take some time to get used to, the sound of a man like All Might heartbeat sounding weak. Weak and All Might don't belong in the same sentence. It still amazed Izuku how his teacher was still able to go on the way that he does, smiling to people every time he saves them even while going through excruciating pain.
"Izuku," All Might called his son, Izuku didn't turn his head, but he did hear him. He hears everything now.
"All Might, good to see you. Am I early or were you late?" All Might smiled at the boy as he came to his side.
"A little bit of both, my boy." All Might looked around at the junkyard, so much had changed from the last time that he was here. For one not everything was covered in trash.
"What is our training for today?"
"In order to control One For All your body must be physically strong enough to contain it."
"No offense All Might, but don't let the track suit fool you or my uniform from yesterday. My body has been brought to its physical peak." Izuku didn't want to disrespect All Might, he was just clarifying that he could get it now and be fine. All Might's intention was not to offend his son either, for being physically strong enough was not even the true reason why he brought him here.
"Good, but that is not the true reason I brought you. You see, before you were born this junkyard was a beach, a beautiful one at that. Couples would come to walk, men would bring their lovers to purpose, ect. But then the heroes started to keep complacent. They started looking for the big pay out and rewards instead of doing the little things like picking up some trash. So this beach became what it is now because of that." All Might was saddened to see this beach like this, he used to bring Inko here all the time for dates. This is where he even proposed to her, the place that they both decided to spend their life together.
Bringing Izuku here was a moment for him, maybe one day he would bring a lady friend of his and purpose to her right here. Izuku understood what All Might wanted him to do, it just wasn't about being physically fit, it was about showing him that he was worthy of being his successor. Being a hero isn't always about fighting bad guys and saving the day, it's about inspiring others to do good things no matter how big or how small.
"I understand," Izuku told him as he folded cane, it was best that he get started now. All Might watched his son as he began to prepare himself for the cleaning of the beach, but man was not done yet.
"The UA exams are eight months away. You have until then to clean the beach, if not-" All Might paused in his speech for Izuku had taken off his jacket leaving a black tank top on him, but even with that All Might could still see the scars that were marked on his back.
"Izuku, what happened to your back?" All Might tried his best to sound composed, trying to sound like he was not angry by what he saw. All Might had to stay calm, not giving Izuku any signals that might tip him off to him being his father.
"Oh, that. That was from a teacher during my three years with him. He wasn't one to hold back, the world's not so why should he.
"Who was your teacher?" All Might asked and Izuku was hesitant to say anything, he knew that All Might knew his mother, but that didn't mean he knew about her criminal life. All Might on the other hand got tired of waiting and just got to the point. He had a name in mind and when he sees him again he will break every single bone in his body.
"Was it Hisashi?" Izuku widened his eyes when heard his uncle's name. He didn't expect All Might to know about his mother's dysfunctional family. Izuku turned his head to him as he asked All Might about his uncle.
"You know Deathstroke?"
"So Inko told you about her...past." Izuku shook his head, he got the gist, not the full story. There was more his mother was hiding from him and that bridge will have to be crossed, but not yet.
"Not everything, I did get some details. Comes from a crime family, master assassin brother, and her blackmailing people, but that is pretty much it."
"Wait, she's still blackmailing people?" All Might asked with shock, but shook his head, that would be dealt with later. Right now he needs to focus on Hisashi and what he did to his son. He swears if he hurt Izuku just to get back at him then he was going to kill him. Simple as that.
"Izuku did Hisashi do that to you." Izuku shook his head, making All Might now be confused. If Inko didn't send Izuku to Hisashi, who did she send him to? Too bad for All Might he wasn't going to get the answer and boy he did not like it one bit.
"My master was not my uncle, instead it was his master. A man named-"
"Stick," All Might had shock written all over face, yes of course he heard of the legendary assassin and fighter. 'What the hell was Inko thinking about sending Izuku, our son to the Stick of all people. Stick would make Hisashi look like Aizawa when it comes to his teaching skills. I'm lucky that Izuku is even alive.'
"How on earth did you survive that?" All Might asked his son, still trying to overcome the great shock that he felt Stick, Stick of all people trained his son.
"I almost didn't, I mean Stick didn't show any mercy from the moment that we started training. It was literally get better or die. So I chose the former. I learned, I survived, and I got stronger. Strong enough to the point where I tagged him in one of our fights, he even started to get serious that last one as well."
"Izuku, well I'm glad that you learned great feats from Stick, but your...master is-"
"I know who he is All Might. Stick is an assassin, a killer, and a dick. The things that he taught, could probably make me an assassin like him or my uncle, but that's not who I am. I'm not a killer and I never wanted to be. I chose to be a hero and I'm staying down that path." All Might was glad to hear that, hearing those words from Izuku almost brought a tear to his eye. Izuku really was his son.
"That's good, I know that you are going to be a great hero one day. Now you should get started. I will be back soon, I have a meeting with an old friend of mine." Izuku nodded his head, but he wondered who that meeting was with. He decided not to pry and left All Might to his own business, what right did he have to know that anyway. All Might soon left the once beach, but not taking one last look at his son. Izuku had already started moving trash everywhere, it probably won't take eight months for him to get this done.
All Might finally turned his head though, he had a drive ahead of him and his destination was a meeting with none other than his wife. The moment he returned home from meeting Izuku and having the teen accept his power All Might called Inko and boy was he not happy.
Flashback
All Might returned to his apartment, he didn't wait long to go to his room where a safe was located. All Might inputted the safe's combination and opened, reaching in he grabbed a burner phone that was untraceable. This phone was his only way to call the person that he wanted to reach and that person was none other than his wife.
The number was already saved so All Might had to do was click the number and the phone did the rest. When he dialed the number he heard the ring and heard it again, and again, and again. No one picked up, which was strange because Inko always picks up her calls. He doesn't remember her ever missing one of his calls.
All Might was going to dial it again, but stopped when he got a text message from Inko. [What is it?] Inko texted and All Might knew that she said it with a hint of annoyance in her voice.
[I met our BLIND son today.] All Might hit next and for a couple of minutes he didn't get anything back, he knew that she had seen it.
[Izuku is home now, let's meet tomorrow at our usual place.] All Might narrowed his eyes, he figured that Inko would be texting only for the reason to prevent Izuku from hearing their conversation. His keen sense of hearing would make it problematic for both parents. All Might had no choice, but to accept the deal. He didn't like it, but Ink himself was in for a long overdue talk. All Might signed and sent a text message.
[Ok.] That was all that he said, the rest of his words will have to wait till tomorrow.
Flashback Over
Present Day
All Might got off the bus and looked at the busy streets, people were starting to start their day and head to work. The number one hero though just moved his eyes to an old cafe that was still operational, even after all this time.
All Might knew that coffee shop very well, this is where he met Inko for the first time. All Might wasn't even a hero yet, he wasn't even All Might or the eighth user of One For All. He was just Toshinori Yagi, a quirkless individual that just wanted to be a hero.
All Might walked into the cafe named Leblanc, he saw that not much had changed since he had last stepped in here. The brown wood floor was still the same, the bar shelf that held supplies for coffee making was still there, even the seats were still the same. The only thing that changed was the man behind the counter, it was no longer the same person, but instead a young man with black hair.
"Can I help you?" The man asked Toshinori and Toshinori shook his head. He didn't come here to reminisce. He came here to speak to his wife and he found her sitting in the same spot where they had their first conversation. Inko was looking at the window as she waited for All Might to come sit in front of her on booth. She saw him come off the bus and now knew that the time had come.
All Might slid into the booth and was now faced to face with his wife. Inko turned her eyes from the window to her husband, neither said a word as the man behind the counter saw the tension. The man was told by Inko that she was going to have a meeting with a certain someone and she didn't want any interruptions.
The man dropped his apron, hung it up and walked around the counter, then went to the door and walked out of it. He locked it from the inside, no one was getting in and no one was getting out. That means no interruptions for Inko and Toshinori.
Neither husband nor wife still said a word to each other, they just kept glaring at each other. Inko had gotten tired of the staring contest and decided to speak first. She got right to the point, there was no point to play games. They both knew why they were here.
"Ok, enough with the glaring. Let's just talk about Izuku."
"Why wasn't I told that he was blind?" Toshinori spoke the moment she mentioned his son's name. Inko rubbed her forehead, she didn't rehearse any lines to say to him. She wouldn't do that, she still owed the truth to him.
"I thought about it, I really did. I had the phone in my hand and thought about telling you, but...but I didn't. I chose not to, just like you chose your life without us in it." Toshinori narrowed his eyes dangerously at Inko, that was a low blow and she knew it. He chose to leave him for their protection, protection from his great nemesis and her family.
"Is that what you've been telling our son? That is father just left to protect him, you know that's not the full story. You know the real reason, Inko." Inko chucked in front of his face, the real reason he. He really said that to her. Of course Inko knew the real reason and it had nothing to do with Izuku or protection from his enemy. It had everything to do with her and she reminded him of that.
"Oh the real reason you say. Then let's talk about the real reason. The real reason why you left...no abandon us! You abandon us because of me! Your perfect little damsel in distress isn't who you thought she was. The good girl that always followed the rules. No, that wasn't me and when the truth came out you ran!" All Might took every word she said like an attack to his face.
Yes, he couldn't believe the truth when he found out about Inko. Who wouldn't though, the woman that he loved, that married, that he shared a bed with. A woman that he loved with every fiber of being had lied to him. How was he supposed to react, but yet again she thinks that this about her and it never has been.
"Yes, I was shocked to find out the truth, but any normal human would be like me, especially when the woman that they love calls off the assassin that poisoned me and tried to kill me in my own home or did we forget part of the story." All Might clapped back at Inko with his own comment and Inko folded her arms over her chest. Yes, she did fail to mention that the assassin that did attack All Might in their home was none other than her own brother.
"I had nothing to do with that. I didn't know Hisashi had accepted a contract against you, not many assassins do. I also have you know that you would have been dead if it wasn't for me stopping him."
"I'm overjoyed." Inko had rolled her eyes at her husband's sarcasm, they were now back to silence. This round of the quiet game did last long for All Might broke the silence.
"I'm training Izuku in using One For All." Inko widened her eyes when she heard that name, of course she knew of her husband's power he told her of course. He told her how it was created, what it was created for, and of how every user that has owned it has died including his former master.
"No, you can't do that. Izuku is not ready for that, think of your son." Inko stood up in defiance, she was not going to let her son get that power. All Might challenged her by standing up as well, he was even more mad now for she questioned his love for his son.
"You really just said that to me when you sent our son to train with Stick of all people. I've seen his scars. Our son, our sixteen year old boy, is marked with scars! I should question whether you love him or not." When Inko heard those words from Toshinori's mouth, she lost it. Inko saw red and All Might saw a sight that he hadn't seen in a very long time.
Inko's eyes glowed a bright green color and the objects in the shop all glowed green. Inko was using her telekinetic quirk and from the looks of it she was about to unleash it. Toshinori shifted into his hero form just as the objects started to shake. If Inko wants to fight then she will.
"How dare you?! How dare you question my love for Izuku! I gave birth to him, I bathed, fed him, clothed, loved him since the moment he entered this world! I was there for him while you were out saving the world, being their shield instead of a shield for your family!"
"If you love him so then why did you send him to Stick? Why did you do it?!" All Might fired back at her and now it felt like the cafe was starting to shake. If these two don't power down now they could destroy the very building where they met for the first time.
A tense glare match began between Inko's glowing orbs and All Might's piercing blue ones, neither side made a move and the objects in the room just continued to shake. But after a few moments Inko was the one that powered down. Her eyes stopped glowing and Toshinori looked at her, seeing tears come down her eyes. All Might de-powered himself and returned to his skinny form.
"Yes, I made that call and I will regret it everyday cause like you I saw his scars. I see the damage that Stick did to him, but I knew that he wouldn't turn into Stick or even my brother for that matter and do you want to know why?"
"Why?" All Might asked, now calm but desperate for an answer.
"Cause he's your son, Toshinori." Inko cried, making All Might widen his eyes, but he was still confused by what Inko meant. Inko could see the confusion on her husband's face and decided to elaborate on what she was trying to say.
"He's your son and I don't mean that literally, I mean it figuratively as well. Toshi, this boy has your determination,, you drive to succeed, your will to protect. Did he tell you what happened after he found out that he was quirkless?" All Might shook his head.
"He asked me if he could be a hero and I said yes. I told him that his father didn't stop when people told him that he couldn't be a hero. He took my words and did everything he could get to prove everyone wrong, he endured bullying and name calling, but still continued to believe himself. Then the day arrives when he proves everyone right and at the cost of it he loses his eyes. You didn't see how defeated he was Toshi, Izuku was broken. So I yes I made a call to Stick cause I knew that no matter what Stick threw at him Izuku would come back to me being his father's son."
All Might had stayed quiet when heard all of that, the father didn't know what to say while the mother just wiped her eyes. Neither of them wanted this outcome, they came to talk, but instead they almost came to blows.
"Inko, I..I'm-"
"It's fine." Inko told him after she finished wiping her eyes, Toshinori wanted to go over and hug her, to comfort her, but he knew that she would not allow that. Things were not what they once were, they never were again. All they can do now is help their son on his journey to be a hero.
"I'll let you train Izuku," Toshinori wanted his eyes, he didn't expect Inko to actually give him permission. Even if she didn't he would still train Izuku for he believes in his son, he knows that he is the one.
"Thank you. Inko...I" I still love you, was what he wanted to say. Could he say it? Would she want him to say it? He doesn't know, all he knows is that he could never stand seeing that woman cry.
"I told you it's fine. Just...Just keep Izuku safe." Toshinori nodded his head, that is something that he will always do, from now on.
"You have my word." Toshinori told her not with a smile, but with a straight face that held his determination. Inko nodded her head and now both of them were once again in silence.
"I...I guess I will go." Toshinori said, but at the same time it sounded like he didn't want to go. Inko opened her mouth to say something, but whatever she was going to say decided to keep it to herself. Toshinori nodded his head and went to the door, he didn't say goodbye he just left the booth and made his way to the door.
"Toshi," Toshinori turned his head back to Inko a little bit faster than one would think, but he turned his head back to her.
"Eat something, it's important to keep your weight up." All Might didn't respond to the comment, all he did was just laugh. He soon opened the door and left the cafe. He should get back to Izuku to continue his training. Now that the conversation between husband and wife is done, it did get volatile there for a moment, but they were able to settle to it. All Might now has the permission to train Izuku and Inko will not interfere, but one thing remains. Both parents still kept the secret of their relationship from their son.
Training Montage
Izuku continued to clean up the trash and for the next couple months that is all the work. Outside school if Izuku was not there was not there he was at the beach finishing his clean up, but when he was not there he was home training. His mother had gotten the basement redone and made a small workout room where he could train.
Izuku spent much time down there working on his craft, practicing his martial arts. The skills that Stick taught were good, but they were not enough. He needed to just polish them, but master it as well. If One For All is what he saw when All Might battled the slime then that power added to his martial arts, he will be a deadly fighter. Probably stronger than to take down Stick, only time will tell when that day comes.
All Might was very impressed by his son's progress to clean up the beach. He thought that it would take him eight months, but to surprise it only took him four. Four months, faster than All Might truly predicted. He still remembers when he came upon the scene of Izuku on the now cleaned beach.
All Might walked out of the bus, he was thinking of how to improve Izuku's training. He was so deep in thought that he didn't pay attention to the sand that he was stepping on. It was the sound of waves crashing to shore for All Might to look to see that there was no trash at all. All of the garbage, all of the junk, the filth was gone. All of it is gone leaving nothing, but a clean beach with grainy sand.
The pro looked upon the scene, it had been so long since he had seen this image. The sun was just rising, it's light reflecting off the ocean water giving a magnificent color. All Might didn't even move as he took in the scene, in his mind an image played...no better yet a memory played itself of him and Inko.
Both of them walking hand and hand with their bare feet touching the sand. It was the good old days. That image was soon replaced with their soon sitting exactly where they sat years ago. Izuku had his feet in the sand as he looked upon the sea water, with a smile on his face.
Izuku knew that his teacher was there and didn't move, it was rare that he got a moment like this so he wanted to enjoy it. The peace, the quiet, it was very tranquil. Izuku just listened to the sea, the rough sound of waves crashing into the shore. The smell of sea of water in the air, the soft yet rough feel of the sand. Izuku might have to make this place a new spot to meditate.
All Might walked up next to his son, he sat down next to him and both father and son just sat in silence as they enjoyed the calmness of the beach. All Might relished a moment like these, there was a time when he thought his entire family would be here with him. The elder hero thought about putting his hand on his son's shoulder, but he didn't move. He decided against it.
"What do you think?" Izuku asked him as he continued to look at the sea, All Might turned his head towards his son.
"I...I didn't know that you could do it that quickly. You exceeded my expectations." All Might told him, Izuku smiled as All Might got up. When his teacher rose to his feet Izuku rose to his feet as well and the master and student were staring at each other. All Might took action deciding to do something that he should've done a long time ago. All Might put his hand on his shoulder, a moment that was surreal to him and it was to get much bigger for he was going to pass the torch, his flame to his son.
"Congratulations Izuku, you have earned One For All." Izuku nodded his head and smiled.
"I won't let you down, All Might." All Might gripped his shoulder tightly, he knew that his son would not fail him. He knows that he made the right choice to give him this power and like how his master taught him he will teach Izuku how to master the great power.
"I know you won't be my boy, but the work is far from over. Once you get One For All we must begin training you how to use and master it." Izuku nodded his head once again, but was now left with one question.
"How do I receive it?" This is the part where All Might looked away, getting One For All is a simple process, especially since All Might learned this technique just last night. All Might put his hand on Izuku's head and closed his eyes.
"Close your eyes and open your mind to me." Izuku heard his teacher's words and did just that. He closed his blind eyes and opened his mind to All Might, the teen wasn't sure what his mentor was going to do, but he would soon find out.
All Might just concentrated, he focused on One For All and began to see the stars that were the past users, all of the stars began to glow brightly. Each star represented a color of the past user, one was red, blue, purple, grey, black, All Might was yellow and just like the rest his glowed as well.
"We'll take it from here, All Might." All Might heard a female voice and he knew the voice belonged to his deceased master, the predecessor to his power. When she becomes one with the power just like the others before her and when his time comes he will join her in the realm of One For All.
Izuku didn't feel anything at first, all he saw was darkness, but soon something happened to him. Izuku just stood in darkness, soon figures appeared. Eight figures in total, all of them wearing different costumes and one wearing casual clothing.
The eight stood around the teen, Izuku could not see them, he could not even feel them. He just felt something change in him. The darkness soon had light, the skies there were stars, eight giant bright stars all of them represented the past and now a ninth small star was added. Izuku star was born and now the ninth user of One For All was created.
"You are now the ninth." Izuku's eyes snapped open just as the same times as All Might's did. All Might removed his hand from his son's head and looked at him in shock, he turned back to his hand.
He could still feel the transfer of power from him to Izuku. All Might still felt the flame of power in him, but it had greatly diminished. The days were already numbered for him being All Might, but the countdown has begun for his days as a One For All user.
"How do you feel?" Izuku placed his hands on his chest to check his heart rate, it was a little faster than normal, but nothing crazy. Whatever he felt earlier he must take that as the power that All Might has given him. He didn't know what to expect, but he damn sure didn't expect to feel something as surreal as that.
"Different, I feel different. Physically I'm fine, but spiritually. Something changed...I don't know how to explain it." All Might nodded his head, he remembers that feeling, although it's a lot quicker for his son than him. When All Might received the power he had to wait a whole day for the power to activate, but since Izuku is son the DNA is already there. The power passed through All Might to Izuku like electrical current. Izuku doesn't have to wait for it to awaken, for it has already awakened, now he must learn to use it. Which comes next.
All Might shifted into his hero form and Izuku saw the man grow larger, he figured that it was time to actually train. "Are we training?" Izuku asked with a sense of eagerness to his voice, All Might however didn't answer him. He just walked to the ocean and Izuku followed him coming right beside him.
"Izuku, my power is now your power. That different feeling that you feel, that is One For All. It has awakened inside of you and now the time must come for you to summon it."
"Ok, how do I do that though?" All Might made a fist and brought his right back, he was going to show the Izuku demonstration while teaching how to use the power of One For All.
"Feel the power inside of you, bring it forward. Summon it to your fist and when it reaches its point thrust forward!" All Might threw his fist forward, it was straight, a perfect jab and in the process he got the desired outcome. Izuku felt something different though, he saw the surge of power inside of All Might, something that he has been able to do. Before he questioned that All Might power left him and blew the sea apart. The split like it had done for Moses in the bible, that was his power now. The power to do that, Izuku was in awe.
When the power died the water crashed back together forming one sea once again. With the demonstration done, All Might looked to his son, it was now his turn. Izuku made fist, he closed his eyes and began to focus. He looked for the power inside of him, he searched for it and soon stars appeared in his mind. The stars began to change from different colors, eventually landing on green.
Izuku opened his eyes and didn't see it, but his father did. All Might saw the red streaks around his boy, just like it did with him when he first used it. Izuku felt the power surge through his body, it was like nothing he ever felt before in his life. He had concentrated though, 'The mind controls the body.' A lesson Izuku repeated in his head, it was the same thing with this. The mind controls the body and the body is the weapon. He must control his body in order to use One For All.
Izuku took a deep breath into his mouth and thrusted his back, he looked outwards to the ocean and like his father Izuku fired his fist forward firing the powerful blast of air. The power left Izuku and like his father before him the powerful air split the sea. Izuku saw through his radar sense that the sea had indeed split apart, but unlike All Might there was a drawback that his mentor did not sustain.
"Ow," Izuku felt massive pain in his right arm, something that he hasn't felt in a long time. He knew this pain anymore and judging by what he is feeling it is definitely a broken arm. All Might heard his son's painful outcry and turned his head to him, he saw the broken arm and was not surprised at all by it.
The same thing happened to him when he first used One For All, it was to be expected. Handling all that power, nobody can take that much at one. Teachers taught him he will need to do the same for his son. He will have to teach Izuku how to be efficient when only using a little.
"You did well using the power, but you made a mistake." Izuku already knew the answer and didn't bother waiting for All Might to continue explaining it.
"I used too much and it cost me my arm. I'm lucky it did just that. I need to learn how to focus it in small amounts and work my way up from there." All Might was genuine and was surprised when heard that, he didn't expect Izuku to know all of that already.
"One For All principles, it's similar to Stick's teachings. The mind controls the body and the body is the weapon. Perhaps I can use the old man's lessons when it comes to mastering this thing.' Izuku had now come up with a game plan, he now has an idea on how he can master this power and who would ever thought that the teachings of an assassin would ever come into play here.
"I'm ready for more." All Might was surprised by the eagerness and hunger to learn more, but with Izuku's broken arm he would have to wait. It needs to heal first, but Izuku did not care for the broken arm. He wanted to train now.
"Izuku, you are broken. We need it to heal-"
"I can still fight with a broken arm. I've done it before. This is not my first break and it won't be the last." Hearing that from his son reminded All Might that Izuku was not just his student, he was also Stick's student and the proof was right there. Seeing Izuku wanting to continue showed that Stick pushed him even when he broke bones. If there is a time when he sees that man, he promises that he will have his neck in his hands.
"No, for now you will rest and heal. Come tomorrow and pick up where we left off." Izuku sucked his teeth when heard that, and he soon sighed. He has to remember that All Might is not Stick. If this was his master then Stick would have continued without hesitation, hell he could have broken ribs and Stick would still say continue. But with All Might, All Might was softer on him, it was going to a change of pace for sure. Something that Izuku is going to have to adjust to in the meantime.
Izuku and All Might began to train for the next four months, both users of One For All spared against each other many times. Izuku's control of One For All was getting better and better, and All Might was truly impressed by his son's progress. His progress was much slower than Izuku when he got One For All.
From what the father could see it seems that his son had figured out a control of small amounts of One For All to the point where his hands won't break. Izuku told him it's like using 2% of the power. If he goes any higher than he could destroy his body which will lead to more broken bones.
Even with 2% of the power Izuku was able to make his father sweat in their spars. All Might truly underestimated Izuku when they fought, his son was a demon...if not a devil in their matches. The way he moves, his strikes, everything was not wasteful. It was the total opposite of his own brawler and wrestling fighting style.
He was the hammer that can literally smash anything that is in his way, his son on other hand was both. There were times when Izuku struck with precision and there other times where he struck with more power. All Might felt like he was Deathstroke all over again just with less swords, guns, traps, and explosions.
Though their time together in their spars ran short the two enjoyed each other. All Might having the opportunity to train and spar with his son and Izuku having the honor to train and spar with his favorite hero. Both ended with great experiences that they will both treasure, but all good things must come to an end. The time for the Exams had arrived.
Present Day: UA Testing Facility
Izuku stepped out of his mothers car, " Izuku, do you have everything." Inko asked him, her son was about to take his exams. If he passes he will go to UA.
"Yes, mother. I told the faculty that I will need a braille test and they were able to accommodate me." Inko nodded her head, even blind her son managed to stay on top of things.
"Are you sure you don't want your cane?" Izuku shook his head, he decided that from this point on he will go without the cane. He will still keep it in the bag, never knowing when it might come in handy, but when it comes to UA he will just keep his glasses on. No one can see through his ray-bans so no one will know that he is blind still giving him the element of surprise when trouble arrives.
"Ok, call me when you are done."
"Ok, mom. I gotta go now." Izuku closed the door to his mother's car and allowed her to drive off. The teen held his duffel bag in his right hand. He could hear the many students talking among themselves as they all entered the building. They were going the same way, now it was time to enter as well. The teen took a deep breath and the large exhale, this was it. This was his first step into being UA.
Izuku was about to step forward, but stopped when he heard someone walking up behind him. Whoever it was not paying attention and if Izuku continued to stand he was going to get run over. Izuku sidestepped the girl and then placed his hand on her shoulder. The girl felt a hand on her shoulder and turned her head to see a green haired teen with glasses on his face.
"Careful, you almost bumped into me." Izuku told her, not as a warning or anything like that. He just wanted her to be careful, people just never know where they're going when they are not looking.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I was just...Well I'm just still overwhelmed and a little bit nervous at that. This is my first time taking the exams and I don't want to mess you know." Izuku nodded his head understandably, his radar vision gave an image of the girl. The girl seemed to have quite the round face.
"Wait where are my manners, I'm Ochako Uraraka." Izuku saw her extend her hand and he removed his hand from her shoulder and placed it right where hers was located.
"Izuku, Izuku Midoriya." Izuku greeted himself and shook hands with Ochako. Ochako could feel the roughness of his hand, whoever this Izuku guy was seemed pretty strong and Ochako knows something about rough hands. Her parents come home with them everyday from their jobs.
"Nice to meet you, you got quite the grip." Ochako jokes, but not also being serious at the same time.
"People tend to tell me that." Izuku broke the hand shake, he looked to the doors to see that more and more students were going in.
"Shall we before we get left behind." Izuku started to walk and Ochako walked behind him, both teens made it inside the building. Soon they made their way to the testing room where they saw hundreds of more students in the room, all of them were here for the same thing much like our two teens. All of them with the goals of joining UA.
"We should find seats." Ochako told Izuku and he nodded his head, he might as well let Ochako take the lead and find him some seats.
"Lead the way." Izuku offered and Ochako smiled, Izuku seemed like a nice guy to her. He was very genuine and nice, and kind of cute. The glasses on face do look nice on him.
Ochako decided to take Izuku's advice and find themselves some seats. The round-faced girl found two seats that Izuku and her sat in, the blind teen sitting on the edge of the seat. When they sat down the lights turned off and soon a single light appeared pointed directly at the center of the stage.
A platform opened and a single person rose up from the stage and it was none other than the loud hero Present Mic. Present Mic added some extra to his intro with some loud rock music, flares, and LED lights. When the entrance stopped the rock hero grabbed a microphone and spoke into it.
"Someone give me a hell yeah!" No one did and the room was silent, leaving the rock hero with a sweat-drop on his forehead. He was not embarrassed, not the first time that it has happened and it won't be the last.
"Tough crowd, anyway welcome all to the UA exams. Here you will have an opportunity to enter UA, but before that you have to pass the exams. That tests are divided up into two parts, you must have a 80% on both tests to get into UA. The first part will be the written exam, when you complete that you will take the second part which is the hero exam. Any questions?" Izuku raised his hand, he understood what needed to be done and what needed to be accomplished, but he had a question about what he can expect in the hero exam.
"You there."
"What kind of enemies can we expect in the hero exam?" Izuku asked with curiosity, not that it would make a difference to him, but who knows, maybe something would surprise him.
"There will be five types of machines that we call villain bots. The one pointer, the two pointer, the three pointer, the zero pointer, the newest edition the four pointer. The four pointers are the ones that will give you the most points, but make no mistake they are not easy to take down. These are advanced robots that will adapt to your fighting style and quirks. Basically they will outsmart you if you are not quick." While some of the teens in the room saw challenges, Izuku saw an opportunity.
These four pointers from what he was just told might be a challenge for him, maybe all the villain bots will. We just have to see. Izuku was eager to start the heroic exam, but before that he will have to complete the written exam.
"Any more questions before we start?" Everyone was silent and Present Mic took that as a no. "Alright then, the test will be handed out to you. You have one hour to complete the test." The tests were soon handed out to the potential students by members of the faculty. Everyone got one with a number 2 pencil. When the tests were all handed out the clock began and everyone was now able to start their respective test.
Ochako just as she was about to start to glance at Izuku's and widened her eyes when saw that there was nothing there, but dots. Ochako had seen this type of writing before, it was braille and that's when she realized something about Izuku. The glasses, her finding them seats, Izuku was blind.
'He's blind and taking the hero exam. Wait, his quirk must be related to his blindness, maybe it's useful enough to be an active hero. Are there even blind heroes in the world?' Ochako shook her head, she needed to focus on her test. Right now Izuku should not be her focus, she needs to worry about herself. Izuku glazed his hand over the dots, he understood braille very well, at this point it was like a second language to him. All the questions he answered with accuracy, confident in his answers.
When he finished he stood up and Ochako had his eyes on him, the teen left the row with his paper in hand. He soon made his way down the stairs perfectly like he was seeing, but Ochako still wasn't sure. She needed to see definitive proof that Izuku is blind, but he had to see why else would use braille.
Izuku arrived in front of Present's Mic desk and placed his paper on his desk, he then walked away from it. "Do you need help getting to the lockers?" Present Mic offered assistance to Izuku, but the teen smiled, he looked back at the hero making him think that he was looking directly at him.
"No thanks, I can see the way from here." The sentence left Mic confused, he was told that the kid was blind. So how can he see? That doesn't make any sense...does it? Before Present Mic had the chance to pry Izuku walked away from him with his duffel bag in hand. The teen made his way to the lockers and found a spot to change. He sat down on the bench and opened the duffel bag where his training clothes resided.
Izuku soon began to change into his training which consisted of a black shirt, black sweats, and black sneakers. All black fair one would say, but when he was finished Izuku grabbed a black wrapping bandage from the bag. The blind teen soon tapped up his hands, when he was done he took off his glasses and put them in his bag. Izuku closed his eyes and began to make his way to the waiting area.
When he arrived the teen he could hear the heartbeats of the others in the room with him. Izuku could hear heartbeats, they were beating fast, definitely nerves setting in on them. Izuku didn't bother with it though, he just went to the wall and sat down. Crossing his legs, the teen began to meditate. It should not be long now.
A couple minutes Pass
Minutes go by and more and more students start to enter the waiting area for the heroic exam, Izuku does not move from his spot. He continued to meditate as he waited with anticipation for the doors to open. Ochako had entered the waiting area and saw many of the potential students in it. One in particular was Izuku, she saw near the wall with his eyes closed. The girl had questions and she would like some answers.
Ochako made her way to Izuku and just as she was getting close she felt a hand on her shoulder. Looking over it she saw that it was some boy that was much taller than her with glasses on his face like Izuku, the difference is that these glasses were seen through.
"I think that boy would like to be alone." The taller teen told Ochako, but Izuku heard him and decided to intervene.
"And how do you know that?" The taller boy and Ochako both looked at Izuku in surprise, his eyes were still closed, but he still had a small smile on his face.
"I could use some company, we got some time before the exam starts." The taller teen now let it go Ochako and she huffed at him, what he did was very rude. Now that she was free and had permission to speak to Izuku she went over to him. Ochako stood in front of him with a curious look and Izuku still sat with a small smile on his face.
"I saw your test, it was braille. Was that for you show or...or you are really..really-"
"Blind." Izuku finished for her, Ochako didn't want to say it and felt like she offended him, but Izuku did not care about it. He had long since gotten used to his blindness and found talking about it.
"Yeah," Izuku chuckled at her and decided to answer her question.
"You tell me." Izuku opened his eyes and Ochako gasped as she saw his eyes, the grey colorless eyes. When she saw them, they looked like they had no direction, but for some reason she got the feeling that he was looking directly at her. Izuku closed his eyes quickly before people started to notice them, he patted the empty space next to him and basically requested Ochako to sit next to him. When she sat down Izuku began to speak to her with his eyes closed.
"You are nervous, do what I am doing right now. Meditate." Ochako was suspicious of the idea, but Izuku was right about one thing: she was nervous. She was nervous the moment she stepped in the building. So the girl decided to take his advice and crossed her legs just like him, mimicking the teen.
"Inhale," Ochako followed his words, "Exhale," Izuku said next and Ochako did release the breath of air that she inhaled. Izuku could hear her beating heart start to beat at a steady rate, now.
"There, is that not better." Ochako had to admit she did feel a little better now that she did what Izuku told her, but she still had questions about Izuku and his blindness.
"Yes, and I thank you, but I want to know how you can perform this test with your...injury." Izuku smiled, and just as the lights darkened he gave her a cryptic answer.
"Eyes are not the only way to see." The room became dark after that the teenagers in the room all looked at the monitor that was above them. With their eyes on it they all saw Present Mic face appear on screen.
"Alright kids, time to take the heroic exam. Remember the more points you get the better you look. Have fun." The countdown soon began and Izuku figured that by hearing the heartbeats of everyone in the room, they were getting more and more nervous just as the clock was winding down to zero.
Izuku got up and rolled his shoulders, he was ready for the exam and wanted to test his skill against the mechanism of UA. The teen walked to the front of the door, but before leaving he looked back at Ochako and opened his eyes.
"I hope I see you at UA Ochako Uraraka." Ochako removed her head from the screen and turned it to Izuku. She saw him at the front, the doors were beginning to open and when she saw him. The eyes that the teen had closed were now fully opened and now on display. Izuku smiled at her just as the alarm sounded, it was time to move.
"GO!" The students needed waking up from the Present Mic and it worked, they all began to move out into the city, but none of them were faster than Izuku. He was already heading them.
Izuku was not wasting any time as he began moving faster and faster. The teen's echo radar told him where all the machines and two were coming up right in front of him. The Izuku expression was like rock, no one could read it if they saw it. It was basically his game face and he was not going to be taken off till this exam is over.
'Three is coming up ahead.' Izuku could not see what numbers they had, but he could tell that they were big. Izuku heard the machines turn to him, they ready their weapons. Cannons were attached to their hands and Izuku heard a weapon soon be fired. The teen slid underneath the attack avoiding what would be paint coming at him. When he avoided the attack he quickly rose up and kept on moving.
Izuku decided it was time to take action, he bent both his middle fingers with his thumbs and charged One For All. With the power charged Izuku broke the hold on his fingers and fired a great burst of air that knocked the three two points away from him. The three machines exploded in a great ball of fire. Izuku turned his head to the skyscraper next to him, it seemed that there were machines next to him as well. Two in fact, both of them were three pointers that clung to the wall.
The body of the teen exploded with red streaks, they covered his body and in a blink of an eye Izuku vanished in a great burst of speed. The machines that were locked on Izuku lost their sighting of him, the machines scanned the area for the teen, but came up with nothing that was until they saw a hand.
The hand belonged to Izuku and seemed to come from right above him. Izuku was above the three pointer's head, he was just taunting him, the other three pointer locked onto Izuku and fired it's weapon at him and just like before Izuku vanished in a burst of speed.
The paint ball hit the three pointer and covered it in a red color and the other machine, well it was just destroyed by a kick from teen. Izuku drove his feet into the face of the machine, obliterate it completely, but he was not. He jumped off of the destroyer's three pointer and came back to the red one only to punch it. The shot from Izuku destroyed the robot completely, and before it could even denote Izuku leapt off of it. Landing on the ground Izuku closed his eyes, he was hoping to find a four pointer, but not yet.
'Guess I'll have to make them come to me.' Izuku thought as he began to make his way to more and more machines. The teen began to rack up points like he was stacking boxes, he could not be stopped and those watching kept a keen eye on Izuku.
"So you're telling me that he really is blind?" Midnight asked Present and the others in the room, watching the live footage she could not believe that the green haired teen was blind. But seeing his eyes, seeing the grey color that made them look lifeless proves to her that Izuku was indeed blind.
"Yup, I don't know how he does it, but he can still see. What I didn't know was that he could fight like that. I mean look at him, the kid fights like a beast."
"More like a demon," The mumble was heard by the others, they all turned their heads to All Might who sat in his chair looking at the footage of his son. Izuku just made short work of another two pointer literally splitting it in half with a kick.
"Have you seen him fight All Might?" Snipe asked the pro hero and All Might looked at all the teachers in the office, he looked to Nezu now before saying anything else.
"Is this room soundproof?" Nezu nodded his head and with that confirmation he began to speak about Izuku starting with the biggest elephant when it came to the teen.
"Izuku is my son." The majority of the eyes widened in shock when they heard that, they didn't know All Might had a son, hell they didn't even know that he slept with a girl. There were only two that knew about Izuku's heritage and they were the principal of UA in Nezu and Recovery Girl the school nurse.
"Wow, Uh...congratulations I guess. He must feel great knowing that his dad is All Might." The words of Present Mic didn't ring true for All Might had not told his son yet about his heritage. Aizawa saw the look on his face and easily realized that All Might had not told him.
"You didn't tell him, did you?" All Might shook his head and that made some of the occupants in the room whistle.
"It's complicated." All Might wanted to set the record straight that is why he wanted to tell the teachers now so that they know going forward.
"Be careful what you say when you are around Izuku, he may be blind but he can hear better than anyone on the planet. Hence why I asked if the room was sound proof."
"Anything else we should know about the kid?" Vlad King asked All Might, but before he could answer that Midnight wanted to know something about the mother. Basically who she was.
"Who is the mother?"
"Complicated," That basically told everyone to drop it and never mention it again unless he brings it up. Whatever was going Midnight could sense that it was not going either way between the father and mother and the son was caught in the middle of it.
"As for your question Vlad King not much else, just that he is an exceptional fighter." Yeah that part was easy to see and the teachers were about to see more of it because one of the four pointers had found its way to Izuku.
All Might did intentionally keep the information of his son training with Stick to him, there was no need for the teachers to know that just yet. He wasn't sure if anybody needed to know that. How does one even tell someone that their son was trained by the Unrivaled. For now though, he will let them watch just as good Izuku is.
Izuku stood face to face with another machine, but this one was different. It was smaller than the rest, all the others were like twice his size. He can't see the number for obvious reasons, but he would like to think that this is the four pointer that he heard so much about.
"Finally a challenge," Izuku whispered as he got into a boxer stance, the machine in front of did the same thing. Izuku smiled and dashed forward looking to end this fight quickly. Izuku threw quick jabs that were fast, but this four pointer was not like the rest. The machine moved it's head successfully with the punches and when Izuku made another move the four pointer dropped the boxer stance and drove itself into Izuku.
Izuku was caught off guard by the move, he did not expect that, but he does Present Mic saying that these four pointers were more advanced than the rest. The machine wrapped it's mechanical arms around Izuku's waist and lifted him up. The four pointer performed a reverse german suplex and slammed Izuku into the ground. It then turned around to wrap it around the front. Izuku decided that he had enough and broke the hold, he then leapt up and kicked the machine backwards.
Izuku turned himself mid air to make sure that he was facing the machine, the machine stopped it's skid by digging its feet into the ground. When it came to stop the machine dashed forward with the intent of taking down Izuku. Izuku saw the strikes coming and blocked them all. There was a punch that he parried, a chop that he stopped with his wrist, and blocked a kick to his midsection. The machine was impressive, but he was better and it was time that he proved it.
Izuku slammed his hands into the metal chest plate for a palm strike giving himself space. When he could hear the machine was making a comeback, Izuku smiled and cocked his right fist back. The machine did the same, both had the intention of striking each other at the same time.
When the punches collided, the punch by Izuku shattered the metal hand of the four pointer, the circuits spitting out and causing the arm to explode. Izuku did not use any One For All when he threw that punch, his fists were just naturally strong from the large amounts of training that he did to his body.
The four pointer grabbed it's missing limb as it laid on its knees, Izuku walked up to it and bowed his head showing respect to his opponent. With the bow completed Izuku swung his leg up and took off the head of the four pointer. The head bounced off the ground like it was basketball.
Now that he took out the four pointer Izuku released a breath of air, he scanned the area around him and saw the destruction that he caused. There were machine parts everywhere and judging by the looks of it Izuku believes that he racked up more than enough points.
"I guess I'll head back to the entrance." Izuku put his hands in his pocket and closed his eyes as he began to return back to the entrance he had done enough to get into UA. His skills speak for themselves, but just as he began walking Izuku heard a loud rumble. The rumble made the earth shake and the teen kneeled down to touch the ground. Whatever was coming was big, very big, the biggest that he could see from his echo vision.
'Must be the zero pointer.' Izuku thought as he began his walk again, but once again stopped when his ears heard something. "Help! Help!" That voice, Izuku recognized it as Ochako. The teen closed his eyes and pinpointed where she was, he could see her. She was trapped in debris near the entrance and the zero pointer was making his way to her. Izuku snapped his eyes open and activated One For All, he then began to move. The teen with the extra boost of One For All began to dash down the streets of the mock city, he was sprinting.
Izuku was using more power than before because he wanted to get to Ochako as quickly as he could. With each step he could hear the cracking of his bones in feet, he was going over his limit, but he needed to suck the pain in and power on through. Izuku could see that he was getting close and when he was near he used his vanishing move to arrive next to Ochako.
"Ochako!" The gravity girl looked up to see Izuku standing above her, he was breathing slightly heavy as she looked at his colorless eyes.
"Izuku, how-"
"Later. Are you alright?" Ochako looked back at her ankle, it was trapped and she feared that it may be broken.
"My ankle, it's trapped." Izuku saw the ankle trapped under debris, he needed to get her out of here before the zero pointer gets any closer. Izuku put his hands underneath the debris and began to lift up. He used One For All to help assist him and eventually Ochako was able to crawl out, but it was too late. The Zero pointer had arrived in front of the teens. Izuku aimed his blind eyes up at the large machine, he was not going to back down to this thing.
Izuku made a fist with his right hand and channeled One For All, he was going to need everything and more if he wanted to take the Zero pointer out. The red streaks appeared on his right arm, it exploded and blew off the sleeve of the shirt. It was not over yet the streaks appeared on his legs, Izuku is about to take one giant leap towards the Zero pointer. When the power reached its peak, Izuku blasted off.
Ochako saw Izuku shoot off into the sky like a rocket, her eyes in amazement for she had never had seen anything like what Izuku just did before and she was not the only one as those in the entrance watched as Izuku flew through the air. Izuku cocked his fist back as he neared the Zero pointer and when he got close he delivered a thunderous and explosive right hand.
"Detroit Smash!" Izuku screamed the name of his master just as the punch made impact and when it did the armor plating of the Zero pointer stood no chance against the power of One For All. The Zero pointer face was mashed thanks to Izuku's right hand, it's gears stopped from the head being destroyed. Izuku had done it, but now he had another problem. He was falling and falling fast.
Izuku was not panicking, but right now would be an understandable moment to do so. He was skydiving down with a broken arm and broken leg to boot. He doesn't have his grapple with him so if he doesn't think of something quick he is going to end up like a pancake. As he neared the ground Izuku felt that he still had one good arm, what was going through his head right now was not a good idea, but it was all that he got.
The teen began to charge his power to his left arm, he was going to slow his descent by firing an air palm, a move that had not been tested, but hey first time for everything. As he neared the ground he could hear the screams coming from the other students, he ignored and focused on his ground.
He was going to have to time this right if he wanted to survive, but something happened. Just as he neared the ground and was about to fire, the teen was slapped in the face by someone and that person was none other than Ochako.
When Ochako's hand landed on his face, Izuku's descent instantly stopped. The teen was now just floating in the air and just aimlessly spinning. Izuku's body eventually came to Ochako to see her with a tired look on her face. The teen smiled at her as he looked at her with his blind eyes.
"Well, that is some quirk you got there Ochako." Ochako just smiled, it was a tired smile, but a smile nonetheless. The girl was able to save Izuku and Izuku did the same for her, perhaps this is the start of a beautiful friendship between the two. Only time will tell as the UA Exams have officially come to end. Which students will make it to UA and which won't? Find out next time.

Chapter 5: First Day
