Summary:
Things get worse before they get better, All for One has finally made himself known. And the final flames of One for All burn out into nothing.
Beginning Notes
I wrote this chapter in a week, and I'm surprised I managed it. Hope you all enjoyed, this was a really fun one to do.
Also, sorry for getting this out slightly late... I've been watching football today so- Yea
"Taken Hostage?" Came the rough voice of Halo as several figures stood around a large table. They'd just been informed no more than an hour ago that a student from U.A. had been taken during a routine training exercise.
"Yes, we believe that the villain known as All for One has taken a student hostage. However, motives are still unclear at this time." The president stated as she looked over printed messages that were held in her hands.
"Hmm, any word on U.A.'s plans?" Another shadowy figure asked, Halo assumed it was a doctor of some sort, but he could never be sure of anything these days. The president nodded, and once again glanced at the plan within her hands.
"Yes, Nedzu has sent word that All Might, along with some of U.A.'s staff, will be using a tracking device another student had managed to stick onto the captors. Halo, you along with other pro's will be helping prevent damage and civilian injury." Halo nodded to the president once more and stayed in place waiting for more instructions.
Break
"Why should I clean up U.A.'s mess? I'm a very busy man as you know." One rather brash flame hero commented as the hero's stood within the lobby of a police department. "Get off your high horse, you are a U.A. Alum." The jean-based hero commented back.
Izuku wasn't surprised to see such infighting among the heroes. They didn't work together well from his own experience, and he knew Endeavor of all people could be very off putting. "There's a bigger picture Endeavor."
The flame hero scoffed at the detective in front of the group. "It's possible that this incident is the beginning of the end for hero society. We shall stop at nothing to resolve this successfully. Is that understood?" Several nodded towards the detective in affirmatives.
"During the internship's I invited young Bakugo to my agency to try and reform him. I've met very few who were as stubborn as him. I can only imagine how hard he is fighting back. We must hurry." The jean-based hero commented as another hero, the one from his licensing exam if he remembered, asked the Best Jeanist about his inability to resolve the boy's anger issues.
"My comrade Rag-Doll was also taken; this is my chance to get her back." Another, tiger looking hero stated. "Thanks to the tracking devices sent by a U.A. students. We now believe there are two separate hideout locations." The detective from before stated.
"We know from our investigation where the kidnapped victim is located, we'll send the bulk of our forces there, retrieving Bakugou is our priority. At the same time, we'll gain control of the other hideout, this will cut off their paths of escape and arrest them all at once."
'If they recruited a soldier… A monster like me. There must be truly staggering stakes at hand. All for One, must be stopped before the hero society is destroyed. Hopefully Nedzu received my message, we must put a stop to this before everything falls.' Izuku's mind rushed as he tried to figure out why All for One was such a high priority that they wanted him, a monster in his own right, to be on this insurgence team.
Break
'This is seriously the best they could do?' Izuku asked himself as he along with several other pro heroes lined up at the doors of the League of Villains hide out. They'd all moved quickly, hero's and police a like getting ready for the raid.
The police were to knock, while the hero's such as All Might and himself were to enter from the side of the building. But he still couldn't help but think. 'THIS IS THE BEST HERO SOCIETY CAN DO?'
"Hello? I've got a pizza delivery here." 'Seriously?' Izuku was miffed at how that could be the best they could-
And All Might broke through the brick wall, guess there wasn't any time for questioning now. The hero's rushed into the building, All Might leading the front, proclaiming. "Mash!"
"What the!"
"Kurogiri, gate!" The blue headed man yelled, looking towards the Nomu.
"Lacquered Chain Prison!" Yelled Kamui Woods as he bound the 5 villains present in the bar with his wooden arms.
"That's it-" Dabi tried to ask but was cut off.
"Oh no you don't!" Halo yelled as he gave a hefty cross punch the villain's left cheek, knocking the man unconscious.
"Don't do anything foolish now." An old man, Izuku had never met sounded, rushing in behind the three heroes. The villains though would continue to struggle against the bindings, trying to warp away.
"You can't escape anymore League of Villains, surrender now! Because we are here now!" All Might proclaimed, loud and proud as the villains did all they could to resist.
"They lied at the press conference!" A villain all but shouted towards the heroes.
"One tends to neglect defense when they're on offense. You're surrounded by the police, not to mention pro heroes like Endeavor." Halo stated, as All Might confronted the captive U.A. student Izuku seemed to remember from somewhere.
Shook and worry seemed to flash on the blunette as he shouted for the Nomu next to him to bring more from a secondary location. "The secondary location, the Nomu right? Is that what you're looking for?" Halo asked, as he looked onwards into the boys very soul.
"No, how could this be!"
"Enough is enough. Your game has come to an end, Tomura Shigaraki!" All Might yelled at the blunette before him, his eyes sparking with its own hint of blue.
"I've just began to play, you hear me All Might, this isn't over!" The villain tried to escape, tried to fight back and once again tried to go on the offensive. But, before the bluenette could call out to the warp gate Nomu, Izuku had knocked the man unconscious.
"What, couldn't ruin the fun. You should really take us seriously, villain." But as the hero's tried to lecture the villains to just give in, to accept their defeat, sludge and ooze began to leak from them.
Encompassing them and young Bakugo. They were gone, things were falling apart in front of their faces. It wasn't going according to plan; this wasn't how it was supposed to go. "Best Jeanist, come in, we- hello!" One hero tried to call the other pro's but then shots filled the air.
The police had opened fire on Nomu, Endeavor was too busy to take on Nomu to try and find the escaped prisoners. "Best Jeaniest!" The old hero tried again, but to no avail.
"What's going on!" All Might seemed to yell, trying to find answers when there were none.
Break
Izuku had followed All Might to the second sight. Running as fast as he could to get there. There was no communication, Nomu running rampant, and so, so much carnage. He hoped desperately that it all hadn't failed. That an even greater monster hadn't destroyed or killed the young hero hopeful and the captive pro hero.
The scene before him was like everything he'd been told to expect by the commission. A battlefield.
They'd drilled into him the importance of such fights as these, the need to perform, the need to save the day. The unequivocal need to be the best, to outshine even All Might. But how could he do that if he failed-it'd mean the worst for him. This was his chance, the blonde headed student needed to be saved.
Halo knew All Might couldn't keep fighting like he was, he'd seen the signs far earlier of the man's slowing down. He wasn't what he used to be, just the dim flame of a one mighty hero. But, for now, Halo would rescue the young U.A. student so All Might could fight with all he had.
'What do I do, what do I do!' Halo's mind raced, trying to best plan his attack. He needed to get close to the young blonde but he couldn't just charge in-
Or could he.
Izuku rushed forward onto the battlefield, he'd need to get past All for One and the handsy guy from before. Breaking out into a sprint, he'd quickly passed the bluenette and the fang girl. Both seeming to yell in surprise but unable to do anything about it.
The jet stream hero having held them off, promising All Might they'd he'd take care of them. "I've got the blonde!" Izuku yelled as he leapt passed the one known as All for One, gabbing onto the kid with all his strength.
"GET THE FUCK OFF ME YOU CREEP!" The blonde yelled, obviously shocked by the strength at which he'd been grabbed, "I'm going to throw you, now activate that explosion quick of your as soon as you're off the ground!"
Izuku's voice left no room for error as the boy let go a small, heated huff. "Fine!"
Halo wound back and threw the boy with every bit of strength he had. The blonde was catapulted upwards and followed by a large burst of heat. The student flew higher and higher. But as Halo watched the boy go, he wasn't going fast enough, he wouldn't make it-
"Recipro Burst!"
Came the voice of the navy blue haired teen Izuku had saved a few weeks prior. An ice pillar formed before the boy, and he along with another student Izuku had seen from the U.S.J. were able to catch the boy midair. "Those kids!" Izuku heard All Might and the jet hero yell together.
"Your time is finished, All for One!" All might yelled with more energy than before, the ground seeming to crack under his pressure.
All for One stood tall before Toshinori. A near cackle falling from the man's mouth as he stood before the number one hero. "You think you've won All Might, you think this is the end. No, this is simply the beginning. Go now Shigaraki, you must retreat!"
The bluenette called out to his master, pleading that he should stay, that All for One was weakened and couldn't fight but that didn't stop the boy from falling through a portal.
"Now, now I only came here for Tomura, but if you wish to fight. Then you shall watch as that mighty pillar of peace you stand on crumbles. Watch as the very people you wish to save turn against you. You've been the symbol of peace for far too long. Always forcing my associates back into the shadows, Toshinori." All for One let go a large force of wind as the symbol of peace wound back a punch, both connecting with one another.
But the mighty symbol would be flung backwards as blood shot from his mouth. Grunting, All Might once again strengthen his resolve, and gritted his teeth. "You shut up! Always toying with people, probing their weaknesses, you steal, break them, manipulate them, and discard them. You scoff at innocent people who are just trying to lead innocent lives. I will not allow this to continue!"
All Might rushed forward, grabbing ahold of the most powerful villains arm, and wound back for another attack with his other arm. "It's over! Your days as the symbol of peace will go on no more!" All for One claimed.
"I won't let it!" All Might punched with every bit of energy he had left, ever bit of power and fuel that was left within One for All was exhausted from his body, the flame nothing more than a spark.
"You don't have a choice." All for One stated clearly, as his head slammed against the hard ground. All Might huffing for breath as his body shrunk down, nothing more the depleted hollow form he truly was.
"Is that all you have, is that all the great Symbol of Peace could put forward... This is your final day as the great symbol of peace, All Might." A low kackle left the man's mouth as All Might's fist continued to be forced onto his face.
"You are no more Toshinori Yagi. Nothing!" All Might was thrown back; his body being sent skyward as Halo could do nothing but watch.
Watch as the man before him began to explain how he groomed the boy from the U.S.J. to be the one thing that would break All Might. That the man's own mentor had left her child alone and now her grandchild was the apprentice of evil.
"Your time is no longer Symbol of Peace; this is the end for you and your mentor. Oh sorry, your second mentor." A smile befell upon the darkest man Izuku had ever seen. 'How can one man hold so much evil?'
Izuku's body moved on its own, without thinking he rushed forward. His right arm wound back as he moved across the battlefield, past Mt. Lady, and the still body of Best Jeanist. "AHG!" Izuku yelled as his fist impacted the beast's face.
The man was once again sent to the ground, reeling from the impact as his body was crushed into the ground.
"I don't know what your problem is with All Might, but I will not allow you to harm anyone else." Halo spit as he walked closer to the man before him, Izuku wasn't powerful, wasn't a god but he knew whatever the man was, was far too powerful for him.
"And finally, the young hero joins the fight. You're quite a interesting specimen if I do say so myself. Not too dissimilar to that of a Nomu but still conscious. The Hero Public Safety Commission has done quite well with you. But I sense… Anger, anguish, and hatred within you Halo. Come, wouldn't it be easier for you to be a villain than a hero. All they've ever done for you is turn you into a monster. No?" Halo could feel the man smirk beneath that mask, the same as the smile before.
"I am a monster, you are correct. But I still believe in people, and trust in the way a hero should be. I will stop you, even if it means killing you."
"I'd love to see you try, boy." The villain spat as the black, knife-like tentacles shot from his fingers. Piercing through Izuku body armor, and through into his chest. "AHHH!" Izuku coughed out as All for One tried to activate his quirk.
"Hmm, I thought you had a quirk. Now, now, you really are quite special, aren't you?" All for One questioned.
"No, I'm a monster…" Izuku shot forward, and landed yet another blow against the All for One slamming his head into the ground. The villain grunted as he made an impact.
"Young Halo, watch out!" All Might yelled as he leapt forward pushing the spartan away as he himself took the brunt of a heavy blow from All for One.
"Hmm, I never would have assumed you'd have passed One for All onto a monster Toshinori. But now I see why his quirk wouldn't activate. The flames of One for All no longer reside within in you, do they? Nothing but the lightest of flames now burn within you. You've only got a few more punches in you with that weak and feeble body of yours." All Might grunted under the hardened pressure of All for One's blow.
"I've collected several quirks, each designed to defeat you, I knew I couldn't weaken you from only a few blasts… But killing you would take far more." The blind man rose above the ground, his arm enlarging, sprouting shots of electricity and mangled rock.
"I've created the ultimate weapon. You shall meet your end All Might." And with that, the two titans clashed against one another for the last time. All for One verse One for All. An explosion on a magnate not seen before flew through the air, more building toppled as a larger crater was formed.
"Goodbye One for All." Toshinori whispered as their blow connected, his arm ripping in several places as people throughout Japan cried out towards their symbol of peace. Hoping, praying that all would be okay.
Izuku's world went dark as the winds died down. Only one figure stood above all, but they were dark, hard to see. His mind darkened more so as the words "You're next." Were called out to the world. A proclamation of good or bad times to come. Izuku wasn't sure, the darkness finally overtook all else.
And for now, the Symbol of Peace was no more.
