Many knew me as a huntsmen in training. But few knew that i was actually a rudie. Part of the gang known as the GG's. I thought i could keep them separate. But after an incident, my life as a rudie and the war against the Rokkaku comes to light. Hopefully, they can Understand the Concept of Love in Time. At least though, we still have Professor K music to listen to. Summary in work

Understand the Concept of Love

Chap 3: Tournament Part 1

"YEAH!" We all shouted as we grinded along the power lines as we made our way to the Future Site of the Rokkaku Expo.

"Any idea what Professor K has in store for us Corn?" I shouted so that he could hear me.

"Like I said. All I know is that he is going to bring a blast from the past. That's it." He answered.

"YO!" Yoyo called out. Looking towards him, I saw him pointing towards a billboard. Specifically, towards one about Beacon. Headmaster Ozpin was also on it with his signature coffee cup in hand.

"HEY!" I shouted getting everyone's attention.

"What?" Gum asked.

"Care to mark our territory?" I asked taking out my graffiti can and pointing to the billboard. They looked to where I was pointing and immediately took out their own cans. All the while smiling.

'Wonder what he would do if he found out I did this.' I thought as we each sprayed our own tags all over the billboard. Though, I made sure mine was on his coffee cup. And in the center of this masterpiece was the tag of the GG's.

"That was fun." Cube said as we laughed while grinding away from the spot. Jumping to another set of power lines, we seamless changed direction to head for our destination. Soon, we got a message from Professor K.

'This is DJ Professor K. Giving all you rudies out there a wakeup call. I know you all need your beauty rest. I do to. But the tournament is about to start in a few hours. Get your butts down here already. Ain't getting any younger.' He announced before playing the next track.

Let's look at the funk.

"HEY JAUNE!" Garam called out.

"Yeah." I said jumping up and turning around to face him. All the while skating backwards just as well as if I was facing forward.

"What do you think your friends and teammates would say if they saw you in this tournament?" He asked.

"I don't know what they would say something. If anything. That is if they could get over the initial shock of me doing this. I do know my partner would have a heart attack if she saw me doing this." I answered.

"Partner? Or partner?" Boogie asked with a smirk. I just rolled my eyes at this.

"Partner Boogie. I'm not even sure if she would even see me as more than just a friend." I answered.

"You sure?" Jazz asked.

"Yes, I'm sure." I said rolling my eyes.

"Enough of Jaune's love life. We have to head to the tournament." Rhyth said getting our attention. And becoming the new target.

"Oh, so would you prefer we talk about your love life with Yoyo." Cube teased. This caused both Rhyth and Yoyo to blush massively.

"NO!" They shouted at the same. Only to realize this and blush even more. This caused us all to laugh some more. As we skated and continued to make our way to the tournament, I smiled at all the banter that was between us.

'We really are a family. And I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.' I thought as I listened to the others talk about random topics and continue to tease Yoyo and Rhyth.

Half an Hour Later

"Can't believe the first time we came here was due to the Noise Tanks. Now look at us. Using this very same place as a tournament." Beat said as we entered the Future site of the Rokkaku Expo.

"Seems like a life time ago." Combo added.

"Enough traveling down memory lane. We have to head over to our spots." Gum said annoyed before tossing out her chewing gum for a new fresh one.

"Right, I'll go sign us in. You all head over to our dug out." Corn said before skating away.

"Really should come up with a better name than dugout." Jazz complained as we made our way over to our spot.

"Stom complaining. And let's just get ready." Gum argued.

"Seems like every gang in Remnant is here to watch us compete." I said as I looked around and saw the stadium completely packed to the brim.

Just about every single person here belonged to a gang as well. I could make out some gangs that I met and hang out with on occasion., Such as the angel gang. Named after their love of wings and the fact that everyone in the gang is named after an angel. I could also see the Hover: Revolt of Gamers gang sitting in the back playing some games. Squinting a bit harder, I could even make out the Bomb Rush CyberFunk Crew and their leader Team Reptile.

"All right, I signed us and checked the roster. The tournament won't started for an hour. So, use this time to either take a nap or practice." Corn said as he skated into the dugout. We all nodded and went our separate ways to practice or take a nap.

ONE HOUR LATER

'Yeah, baby. This is DJ PROFESSOR K baby. Coming to you live from the Futures Site of the Rokkaku Expo. Where the ultimate showdown between Rudies is about to begin. Who will win? Will the GG's retain their crown and title or will another gang finally dethrone them? Only one way to find out suckas. LET'S GET THIS SHOW UNDERWAY!' He announced before playing another song which also signified the start of the tournament.

"Ready everybody?" Corn asked as we stood up and got ready to head into the field. We all nodded as we were too excited to answer verbally.

'First on the list of events is Street Dash. You all know how this works. Beat your opponent in a race. Simple fools. Now first two gangs to face off are the GG's vs the Doom Riders!' Professor K announced with the crowd going wild.

"So, who wants to be first with me?" I asked turning to them.

"I'll go. This will be a good warm up for the next event." Jazz said moving next to me.

"What the heck. I'll go as well. Been a while since I competed alongside you Jaune." Boogie said getting up.

"All right then. Time to hit the field." I said smiling as we exited the dugout and headed over to the starting line.

"Get ready to lose the crown GG's." The leader of the Doom Riders mocked with the other two laughing.

"Only thing that is going to happen is your losing streak being increased." I countered. Which was true as they only talk a big game and are almost always in last place.

'Three...' The countdown started

"We'll see." The leader laughed.

'Two...'

'Man, I hate these guys.' I thought annoyed. And the slight snarl told me that Jazz and Boogie hated them as well.

'One... GO!'

We all immediately dashed forward as fast as we could. Seeing the railings coming up quick, we all jumped up and started to grind along them. Our speed increasing quickly. And putting a good distance between us and the Doom Riders. We continued to grind and soon jumped off when the rail ended. Skating forward, we saw the next part of the course which was the billboards. Jumping up, we grinded on them before jumping off and going up to the next level. This allowed us to easily put even more speed between us and the Doom Riders. After a bit, the path was coming to end and we jumped off before it did. We did a few tricks before landing on the ground.

'GG's in the lead. Two laps left.'Professor K announced as we finished the first lap.

"WATCH IT!" Jazz and Boogie shouted as the Doom Riders boost dash past them and took the lead.

"Damn it." I said as the Doom Riders turned around and skated backwards to taunt us.

Growling, I boost dashed forward and managed to catch up to them. But instead of passing them, I started to keep on crossing their paths messing them up and slowing them down significantly. Allowing Boogie and Jazz to easily catch up. Before the Doom Riders could retaliate, I boost dash away from them as they cursed their lungs out.

"They sure are scum bags." Jazz said as I caught up to them.

"No doubt." Boogie agreed. We focused back on the race and started to grind and boost dash our way to the end of the second lap.

'GG's still in the lead. Last lap. Will they win and bring Doom to the Doom Riders? Or will the Doom Riders pull off a last moment victory?' Professor K announced.

'Doubt that could make a comeback.' I thought as we continued the race quite easily.

Skating and grinding, we even started to perform tricks to please the crown as the Doom Riders only just finished the second lap. Leaving a wide gap between them and us. Though, we did get surprised when we saw the Doom Riders quickly catching up which made us actually focus back on the race. But it didn't matter as we quickly crossed the finish line before they could even come close to reaching us.

'GG's win! And it looks like the Doom Riders are now doomed to continue their losing streak.' Professor K announced.

"YEAH!" We cheered and hi-5 each other while the Doom Riders fell on their knees in dismay. We laughed at their dismay before heading back to the dugout.

"Congratulations you three." Corn said as we entered the dugout.

"Thanks. That was a good warmup." I said as we took a seat and were handed some water.

"Yeah, the Doom Riders only talk a big game but can never back it up. At least with the Immortals, they can at least give us a challenge." Cube agreed.

'Next up on the list is Poison Jam vs Rapid 99. A duel between rivals. This should be good. Rudies get ready!' Professor K announced which got everyone's attention. Especially Cube's as she is still the leader of Poison Jam and Rapid 99.

"Think they will play fair Cube?" I asked her as we watched Poison Jam and Rapid 99 head over to the starting line.

"I didn't raise nor lead any cheaters Jaune." She answered with a smirk.

"Fair enough." I said rolling my eyes. Even though she was part of the GG's, she still cared for her two previous teams.

For the next few hours, we watched the various other gangs go at it in street dash. Rapid 99 won against their match against Poison Jam. Then was The Love Shockers against The Immortals with the Love Shockers winning the match. Once the initial matches were over, the winners of previous rounds went up again. And since there was an odd number of gangs remaining, we all went at once. Which was quite chaotic but fun all the same. In the end, we won with Rapid 99 coming in second and the Love Shockers in third place.

'Now that is correct way to open up a tournament. I have a feeling this will be the best tournament so far. Now onto part two. Jet Tech. You know that means. Let's open this place up.' Professor K declared as the gates the kept us from accessing the large center of the Future Site of Rokkaku Expo opened up.

"This will be fun." I said as we got up ready to show off what we can truly do. But before we could leave, Professor K cut in.

'What, you think I was done? I ain't finish fools. What I am thinking for this time, how about we spice things up. Instead of just Jet Tech, we combine it with some Graffiti Wars. You know what I'm saying. Mark this area as yours while showing off your sexy skills.' Professor K announced.

"So, who's up this time?" I asked.

"Well, it is a three v three like usual. As to make it fair against the other gangs. And since this is Graffiti wars and Jet Tech, we need fast skaters who can spray paint just as fast," Gum answered annoyed.

"I would say then Garam, Beat and you Jaune." Corn answered as well.

"Okay." I said as we skated out of the dugout and towards the center area.

"This will be hectic yet fun." Garam said as we watched every other gang come up as well.

'Three...' The countdown began.

"Let's see if you still as good as you used to be cutie." A Love Shocker flirted with me.

'Two...'

"I always thought you guys were out for revenge on the guy who broke your hearts and not be interested in some else for a while." A Rapid 99 member asked confused.

'One...'

"We are. Doesn't mean we can't flirt with a cutie who is potential boyfriend." Another Lover Shocker answered while flashing me a flirty smile. This caused me to blush hard but also roll my eyes a bit.

'GO!'

We all immediately dashed of in our separate ways. Going to walls, billboards, anything that we could tag. All the while grinding, skating and using anything and everything we could use to perform tricks. Taking out my graffiti can, I dashed over before jumping and grinding on a rail while covering the graffiti the Doom Riders sprayed with my own.

"HEY1" The Doom Riders shouted as they tried to retake the spot I just tagged but got pushed away when Poison Jam ran into them and tagged the wall, they just finished tagging.

Chuckling, I looked over and saw Beat and Garam having trouble tagging their own spots without it getting tagged by another gang a second later. Jumping into the air, I grinded on a billboard, while also tagging it, before jumping off it and performing tricks in the air before landing next to them. I then interrupted the Immortals who were trying to capture the spot with their own tags by spraying mine over them. They growled before moving to another spot to try their luck.

"Need a hand?" I asked Beat and Garam.

"Yeah. Let's try and take Poison Jams graffiti." Beat answered while pointing to another corner of the area which was completely covered in Poison Jam's tags.

"That's going to be difficult. But necessary." I agreed as I looked over to the hanging screen that displayed the results so far. We were in second place with Poison Jam in first by only 0.5 percent. Looking around, I saw something that could potentially help.

'This is going to be risky.' I thought as I saw Rapid 99 dancing nearby while protecting the graffiti they sprayed. Skating and performing tricks. I managed to sneak past them while they were distracted fending off against the Immortals. Using this to my advantage, I quickly sprayed my tag over almost all their graffiti.

"HEY!" One member shouted when she noticed what I did.

"You'll pay for that Jaune." Kat growled out.

'Now for step two.' I thought as I raced away as fast as I could with Rapid 99 right on my heels. They were close to reaching me but stopped when Poison Jam growled out.

"ARGH!" The leader of Poison Jam growled out as they began to chase after them. Conveniently leaving behind their tags open for us to cover with our own.

"Nice one Jaune." Garam said as he and Beat skated over. We took out our cans sprayed our tags over Poison Jam's tags. And as we finished doing so, the match was over.

'All right. Put your cans away and let's check the results.' Professor K announced. All the other gangs stopped what they were doing and looked up to the screen.

'Come on.' I thought as the results were still being processed. Soon they were displayed showing that we won in both Jet Tech and Graffiti Wars.

"YES!" Beat, Garam and I shouted while we Hi-5 each other.

'Seems like the GG's won this match with the Love Shockers coming in second and the Immortals in third place. Now let's take a small break before we move on.' Professor K announced.

"Well, let's head back to the dugout." Beat said as we watched the other gangs do the same. Nodding, we went back to the dugout where everyone else was waiting for us.

'Hope Cube isn't too mad at the stunt I just pulled.' I thought worried when I saw her glare at me. But that fear quickly went away when she smiled and laughed a bit.

"YO!" Yoyo shouted at us.

"Nice job you three." Rhyth congratulated us.

"It was a bit close but thanks to Jaune here we managed to win." Beat said as he took a seat and popped open a water bottle before dinking half of it in on go.

"We know. But best be careful Jaune. They may try and get you back for that." Cube warned.

"Right. Anyway. The main event is next and I am still wondering what the twist is going to be this time." I said curiously. But before anyone could say anything, the lights went out completely. It was already getting late which meant that for a brief moment there was complete darkness.

'Now, time for the main event. I know you know its death ball. But what I'm sure you all curious is what I did this time to spice things up. Well, I did say it was a blast from the past. And HERE IT IS!' Professor K announced. Turning around, we saw the whole arena change to show different railings and pits/obstacles that we could either skate on or avoid. But really caught our attention was the sound of helicopters coming towards us. Looking up, we saw them drop off something that we faced long ago. Something that disrupted the tournament the Noise Tanks held here.

'The Drone of the Rokkaku police.' I thought as the drone was dropped into the arena looking brand new and ready to give us a hard time. Just like it did when Hayashi piloted it.

Note:

Part 1 of the tournament. Part 2 should be out soon.

LaughingAngel13: This story actually takes place in the Jet Set Radio Future timeline. About a year and a half afterwards with some slight changes to the story. For starters, Rokkaku Goji did not die in the end of the game but simply retreated to an unknown location. Also, the Nosie tanks while destroyed, were rebuilt and now help Professor K with the tournaments.

SolSparda369: Yes, he has a personal tag. But I have no clue what it would be. If anyone has any idea what it could be, feel free to leave it in the reviews.
