Chap 5
"Oh, man that was a good sleep." I said fighting through a yawn. Stretching my arms, a bit, I threw the blankets off me before standing up. Bending down, I grabbed my skates and put them on before reaching for my headphones. Putting them on and tuning them to the correct frequency, I listened to the song Professor K was currently playing.

'Not a bad way to start the day.' I thought as I skated my way over to the bathroom. After a few minutes, I came back out after taking a quick shower. Grabbing my scroll, I opened and saw that it was flooded with messages from my team and Team Rwby. Chuckling, I answered them saying that I was fine and that I would meet up with them later.
"Better start getting breakfast ready." I said as I noticed that it was nearing eight in the morning. Despite what some people might think about us, we rudies don't sleep till noon. Most of the time, we get up around eight or eight-thirty. Exiting my room, I headed over to the kitchen we made and began to make breakfast for everyone.
Half an Hour Later
"Morning." I said as the rest of the GG's filed into the room.
"Morning." They replied. Well, except for Yoyo who just shouted his signature phrase.
"Hope you guys are hungry." I said as I served them all some eggs and bacon.
"Nice. Thanks." Beat said as I placed the plat in front of him.
"Been a while since we had your food Jaune. And it's just as good as I remember." Garam said after taking a bite out of the bacon. While everyone here can cook, it was universally agreed that I was the best cook here. Meaning, that I am the one who usually cooks the food. Heck, when holidays come around and we invite the other gangs here, I usually cook for everyone. Though, at least Kat and Amelia help out which makes it less tiresome.
"What is on everyone's agenda today?" Corn asked as he went over to make some coffee while pulling out some decaffeinated drinks from the fridge for Yoyo and Rhyth. Those two do not need more energy.
"Yoyo and I are going out on a date later." Rhyth answered while Yoyo blushed hard. This also caused Jazz and Boogie to tease them a bit.
"Me and Roboy are going to be fixing some of the railings we have. They seem like they are about to break." Combo answered.
"Beat and I need to head to Dogenzaka Hill and reclaim it as our own since the Rokkaku Police cleared out our tags." Gum added before quickly glaring at Beat who seemed like he was about to object. He merely lowered his hand before resuming to eating his food.
"Jazz, Cube and I are heading over to Sky Dinosaurian Square to just have some fun." Boogie added.
'Probably should bring my team and friends there at one point.' I thought as I drank some of the coffee Corn gave me before turning to Garam. "How about you?"
"Going to be taking Potts to the groomers. About time he has a proper wash rather than a quick rinse with the hose." He answered. Hearing this, Potts immediately barked before running out of the room.
'Wonder how Ruby and the others react to seeing Potts. A dog that can somehow skate as well.' I wonder while silently laughing when I imagined their reactions,
"How about you two?" Corn asked pointing to Soda and Clutch.
"We're heading to hang out with some other rudies." Clutch answered.
"How about you Jaune?" Cube asked.
"Heading back to Vale to meet up with my friends and teammates from Beacon. Before they start turning Vale upside down to find me." I answered.
"What time you have to go?" Rhyth asked.
"Right now, actually." I answered as I finished my food and coffee.
"Before you go Jaune." Corn said getting my attention.
"What is it?" I asked stopping right at the door.
"Since you are going to Beacon and Ironwoods occasionally goes there, be sure you keep an open ear to see if you can find out what Vale and Atlas wants with the drone." He answered.
"Right. I'll keep an ear out and send you anything I find out about the drone." I told him.
"Okay. See you later Jaune." He said nodding his head.
"Bye Jaune." Rhyth said waving her hand with the others giving their own version of goodbyes. Smiling, I said goodbye one last time before exiting the kitchen.
Half an Hour Later
I see you at my job

"This isn't cool. Not cool." I sang along as I grinded along the power lines.
I was heading towards the Ramen shop the old man runs when he is not operating his book store. Seeing an alley way, I grinded down a nearby pole before heading there. Making sure no one spotted me, I took off my skates and headphones before putting them in the case I brought along. Putting my shoes on, closed the case before heading out of the alleyway and making my way toward the ramen shop. Getting there after a few moments, I looked around to if I could find my team.
'Where are they?' I wondered as I did not see them. But got my answer when I was tackled to the ground.
"JAUNE!" Pyrrha shouted as she hugged me.
"Hey Pyr." I said smiling as she helped me up.
"Are you okay? We heard on the news that a violent explosion happened with some unknown machine in Vale last night." She asked as she began to check me for any bruises and cuts which caused me to chuckle a bit.
"I'm fine. I heard about it as well but I was nowhere near where it was reported." I told/lied to her while mentally adding that I was in fact mere feet from the explosion.
"Sorry. I'm was just worried for you when I heard about the explosion." She said blushing a bit. Smiling, I pulled her into a hug.
"Thanks, Pyr. I'm glad I have you as a partner." I told her.
"Get a room you two." A voice teased behind us. Looking up, we saw the others walking towards us.
"Hey guys." I greeted as I let go of Pyrrha.
"How was the tournament Jaune?" Ren asked.
"Went great." I answered before turning to the others. "How was pancake factory and bakery?"
"AWESOME!" Ruby and Nora shouted.
"They were both banned." Ren and Yang said at the same time slightly annoyed. Though, hearing this didn't surprise me. Those two are borderline obsessed with pancakes and cookies.
"Well, what should we do now?" I asked as I checked the time and saw that it was only eleven.
"OOH! THE-" Ruby and Nora began but stopped when Ren and Yang covered their mouths.
"No. You two were already banned from those places for an entire month," Ren reminded them which caused them to pout a bit.
"How about we go to the skate park?" Blake suggested which surprised us a bit.
"Why?" Ruby asked curiously.
"Jaune did say he knew how to skate before he left for the tournament. I want to know if what he said is true." She explained.
"Fair enough. I would like to see if he could back up his claims as well." Weiss added but was silenced when everyone else glared at her.
"Fine by me. I got my skates with me here." I told while motioning to my case.
"Are you sure Jaune? You don't need to if you are still tired from the tournament." Pyrrha told me worried.
"It's fine. I had a good rest and sleep. And it wouldn't be anything crazy." I assured her.
"Okay. I trust you." She said smiling.
"Alright then. Let's head to the skate park." I said turning to the others. They nodded as we started to make our way there.
'The others would definitely tease me if they saw this.' I thought already hearing the teasing from Boogie and Jazz teasing me.
"Where are your other friends Jaune?" Yang suddenly asked.
"Home most likely." I answered.
"What place did you get?" Nora asked.
"First place." I answered.
"Nice work vomit boy." Yang said with a smirk which I just rolled my eyes.
"Did you receive a medal?" Ruby asked.
"Nope." I answered.
"Wait. They don't give out medals for first place? Like how it's supposed to be done?" Weiss asked shocked.
"No. Despite it being a tournament, we go there not to compete but for the love of the sport." I explained.
"Then a waste of time." She said with a huff. Only to get smacked on the head by Yang.
"Anything interesting happened while I was away?" I asked trying to change the topic.
"Not reall- OOH! Yeah. Some people graffiti a Beacon billboard yesterday." Nora answered.
"What? Who would do something like that?" I asked curiously. Mainly to hide the fact that me and the other GGs were the ones who did it.
"No doubt the same ruffians from before who vandalized Ironwood's billboard." Weiss answered. Not knowing she was mostly correct.
"How did Ozpin and Glynda take to learning this?" I asked.
"Glynda was furious. Ozpin, surprisingly, was calm and said that he only wondered how those people got up there and sprayed the billboard so easily." Blake answered.
"Which I want to know to. How do they get to those kinds of spots so easily without getting caught?" Yang asked curiously.
"Must be a trade secret amongst only them." I suggested.
"Maybe." They said while shrugging as we finally made it to skate park. Heading in, we paid for our passes and skates before heading to skating area. And as soon as we reached it, Wiess spoke again.
"Now we can see if Arc can back up his claim if he is as talented as he claimed to be." She said with a smirk.
"Quit it ice queen." Yang snapped as she was getting tired of hearing her.
"Be careful Jaune." Pyrrha told me worried.
I just smiled before skating around the park easily. Seeing an inground half pipe and some railing, I decided to show off a bit. Jumping on the railing, I did a few tricks while grinding easily along the railing. Nearing the end, I jumped off before easily landing in the half pipe and performing a handstand once I reached the edge of it. Letting go, I fell back down and started to pick up speed. Nearing the edge again, I jumped right before the edge and managed to get some serious air.
'Best not go to crazy.' I thought as I merely spin in the air before straightening out right before I landed back in the half pipe.
Reason being that I don't want them to get the idea that I could be the one who graffiti the billboards. But also, because I might give myself away if I perform more advanced tricks. And if I did any, and a single Rokkaku office came by, things were bound to get complicated. Which is why I also did not put on my headphones to listen to Professor K as anyone can easily get lost to his music. Going up into the air, I spun around once more while internally smirking at the gob smacked faces of my teammates. Deciding that it was enough, I skated back to them after I landed back on the half pipe.
"How was that?" I asked reaching them.
"THAT WAS AWSOME!" Ruby and Nora shouted excitedly and in awe.
"I must admit. That was begrudgingly good." Weiss added reluctantly.
"How did you become that talented Jaune?" Blake asked curiously.
"Lots and lots of practice." I answered/lied. The magnetic function in the skates sure do help a lot.
"Do you think you can teach me Jaune?" Pyrrha asked.
"Of course." I answered smiling. She smiled as well but before she could say anything, we all felt our scrolls vibrate. Taking them out, we saw them flashing red.
"Odd. Ozpin sent out an emergency mandatory meeting for all students to report back to Beacon and head immediately to the auditorium." Weiss said reading the message. We all looked at each other for a moment before immediately heading back inside to give back the skates before making our way to the bullheads to get back to Beacon.
One Hour Later
'Wonder what this meeting is about?' I wonder as I took my seat next to Pyrrha in the auditorium. Though, I was slightly nervous as I did spot some familiar looking helicopters outside. And while I could not see the symbol to know where they belong to, I knew the shape and model did not belong to Atlas or Vale.
"Anybody has an idea what this meeting is about?" Yang asked/whispered.
"Could be about anything? But I did hear from my sister that Ironwoods has been in talk with a new and slightly mysterious figure." Weiss answered. I was about to ask her if she knew anything about this figure but couldn't because Ozpin started tapping the mic to get everyone's attention.
"I know most of you are not happy with me calling this meeting. Truth be told, I am not either. However, Ironwoods insisted I call this meeting as he has something to tell you all." Ozpin informed us. He then motioned for Ironwoods to take stage and deliver his message.
"Now. I am sure you are curious as to why I had Ozpin call this meeting in. I'm sure you all heard about the explosion that happened yesterday. After carefully examining the machine, we learned that it was created to take down what is known as rudies. Youths on skates essentially. Normally, I wouldn't even acknowledge them as they are not a priority. However, reports of harassment and disturbing the peace have been at an all-time high due to these rudies." Ironwoods began informing us.
'Bullshit.' I thought as we never harassed people aside from the Rokkaku who send tanks, attack helicopters and special unis against us. Maybe, to a degree, I could see the disturbing the peace part. Yet, that can be easily argued as the Rokkaku definitely cause a scene and send people panicking whenever they appear.
"You want us to deal with them?" A random student yelled out. And though it seemed like a genuine question, you could tell it was more rhetorical as the student though this was a waste of time. And judging by the expressions of others, they thought the same. But it seemed like this flew over Ironwood's head.
"No. I have been in talk with the person and organization behind the construction of the drone. They also have extensive experience with dealing with rudies. Naturally, I have made a deal with them. And here is the man himself." Ironwoods answered before motioning to his left where a figure in a black suit was standing off to the side. Most were confused by who this person was but I knew who he was as he tried to kill me and other rudies before.
'Oh, no.' I thought in despair as the man went to the mic.
"It is I. Rokkaku Goji." The man announced with an evil cackle.

Should I make some other Beacon students as rudies? If so, which ones? And should they form their own gang?
