Kibble scribble: holy shit I was not expecting the amount of response the first chapter received. Like, I figured maybe two or three reviews at most, not ten, like holy crap we are all degenerates that want to see the danmachi crew fall to corruption which considering the story will, happen eventually, I just need to fully figure out what girl is turning to what, but that's later, ish. Laterish.
Either way the response here has surprised me so I tried to get this second chapter out before I wonk on my next of the next story I'm updating, so I hope you like it!
Bell was led into the Commanders tent by Dranielle and immediately found his lips part as his jaw fell open. He expected the inside of a tent to simple, maybe a mat on the floor and some cots, but instead it was if he had entered into a room that was one part grand bedroom, the rest a war room. The ground was covered in a thick deep red carpet with a huge table upon it taking up much of the open area in the tent. A number of weapon racks, as well as a handful of armor racks and chests, lined the sides, while at the back of the tent was a massive bed that was only partly covered by a folding screen of wood and cloth that could likely be spread further to cover the bed area completely. The whole area was lit by large glowing lamps that appeared to be made of blown glass or crystal and glowed in multiple colors, yellow, orange, green and red off and on. On a small table to the side there appeared to be some kind of incense burning, giving the whole room a strange, but not wholly unpleasant smell, and there sitting upon a large carved wood chair by the massively sized table sat Viviane.
Unlike before, she was no longer wearing her revealing uniform, and was instead wearing an outfit that looked more in line with undergarments or exceedingly revealing sleepwear. Her long flawless legs were uncovered, her skimpy black panties were on full display, while the only thing covering her upper body was a tight and strangely curved black bra that seemed to lift her breasts up a bit, yet seemed to have no straps of any kind going up over her shoulders while being shaped in such a way that it covered the absolute minimum. Her hair also seemed to be tied up into a high ponytail, though loosely, and she sat in such a way that her whole body was on display as she held book in front of her with one hand.
"Commander, I return with your guest," Dranielle spoke up as she bowed at the waist for a few seconds after entering, giving Bell a wonderful view of her rump and the underside of her tail.
"Thank you for that," Viviane said without looking up as she turned a page of the book she was holding. "How many scouts did Granith send out?"
"Eight, including her daughter," Dranielle stated simply, surprising Bell as he realized he hadn't taken a hood look at the flying women who had left to go search for his friends.
"I see. Thank you. You are dismissed."
Dranielle bowed a second time, and then before Bell could say or do anything, turned and left the tent, the flap falling back into place behind her. It was that moment that Bell had a very confusing revelation, that he was currently in a room with a women much older than him, who was wearing nearly nothing and he had no idea what was going to happen or how he should act.
Then Viviane suddenly closed the book in her hand with a clap, causing Bell to flinch at the sudden noise and realigning his gaze onto her, to find her smiling. "You can come and sit down you know, I won't bite," she said with a strange smile as she pointed at the table adjacent to her, and any of the many chairs that surrounded it.
"Oh, uh, r-right, sorry I just, wouldn't want to impose," Bell said as he approached the table and sat down at the closest chair, the furthest from Viviane and one that allowed the table to block some of her uncovered body, and sat down as she chuckled to herself.
"You are my guest so it is of no worry, and besides, Dranielle is often imposing enough for most people."
"R-right," Bell found himself saying. It was clear to him that she had made a joke on the matter, but Bell couldn't find himself able to even consider laughing when Dranielle herself seemed tall and strong enough to break him like a twig; She terrified him, and her draconian features only amplified such feelings.
"Haha, a little nervous are we?" Viviane asked with a smile.
"Um, a bit," Bell admitted as he fidgeted a bit. "I uh, saw I few things that were a bit uh, odd."
"Oh, such as?"
"Well uh, a man and a girl with wolf ears were, uh, naked and, um, touching each other in the open . . . intimately."
Viviane looked at him in confusion for a moment before it seemed to dawn on her. "Oh, right. You come from a very different place and-," She looked down at herself and then back up to Bell. "- I take it such flagrant displays of skin and of, Sexual natures are not common where you come from?"
"N-no. some people, like amazons, don't wear a lot of clothing and are pretty vocal about their desires but, uh, its still pretty tame to what I saw and, what I heard some people say when going through the camp. No one does it in public either, I don't think.
"Hmm, I see," Viviane muttered to herself before suddenly standing up ,revealing her whole nearly naked body to Bell, and walked away toward the bed and around the folding wall out of sight. There was the sounds of a latch and of rustling cloth and something else, and then Viviane came out and back into sight wearing a long and thick looking folded robe, not to different than a sleeping robe, and retuned to her seat. "Does this make you a tad bit more comfortable now that you do not need to look upon my body and feel embarrassed?"
"Uh, y-yes, thank you," Bell said in relief, now not having to worry about where his eyes wandered. He didn't want to be thought of as a pervert or a creep after all.
"Careful there Bell," Viviane warned, her tone slightly cautionary, but sounding more amused than anything. "Many around these parts would actually be insulted if you told them to cover up their bodies."
"W-wait, I-I didn't mean to be rude I just-"
"It's fine," Viviane said, cutting Bell off with a wave of her hand. "You're not from this world so you could not possibly know. That is why I wanted to speak to you at length this evening after all, to help you understand just where you now are."
"Oh, then, where are we starting?"
"Actually, I was hoping you would tell me a bit about the world you come from first so that I can decide what is most important to tell you first."
"Oh, uh, what do you want to know?"
"Just some basic information, where you are from, the culture, a small bit of history and points of interest, that is all," Viviane said casually.
"Okay. Uh, well I come from Orario-" Bell started as he began explaining all ge could. Orario, the dungeon, Familia's, the Falna, how the gods came down to Gekai, he even went over his own adventures a bit.
Once he was done Viviane seemed to think to herself for a moment before letting out a sigh. "Well, I can say I did not expect any of that, though it does explain a number of things."
"t does?" Bell asked curiously.
"Yes. Most importantly it explains your confusing, and how your body seems rather fine right now."
"My body?" Bell asked in even more confusion. "What is wrong with it?"
"Nothing, but most people would be feeling a variety of effects from being in the camp, though I will get to those later because to explain it properly you must know how our world came to its current situation. Are you ready to hear a bit of our history?"
"Um, yes?"
"Then to begin, this world was first created by the first chief deity and for all time in the past there were mortal races like humans and elves, as well as monsters such a dragons and minotaur's. The order claims differently, but what is important is that both existed since the beginning and were meant as a sort of, population control mechanism for the other. When there were to many humans, a Demon lord would rise and rally the monsters against them, culling the numbers of humans, and when all would seem lost a Hero would rise and cull the monsters and then the demon lord in turn. This has repeated many times in the past and only changes a few hundred years ago when my Mother, the current demon lord, rose to power."
"Your mother is, hundreds of years old?" Bell asked in surprise. After all, weren't only the gods and elves that long lived?
"Easily, yes," Viviane giggled. "She was, before becoming the demon lord, a monster known as a Succubus. Succubi were one of the few monsters of the old times that could pass for human, being able to hide their wings and horns, and being able to speak human languages due to the fact they lived off of spirit energy," Viviane continued before looking at Bell, and upon seeing that he did not seem to understand smirked. " Spirit energy is acquired from human bodies, most often through their genitalia. Succubus's live off of men's semen."
Bell's face turned rearly as red as his eyes before he sunk down and hid his face in embarrassment. "W-how does that effect right now?"
" I was getting there. Normally when a new demon lord rises, some facet of them would effect all monsters over the world. A demon or dragon becoming the lord would make all monsters more violent, while an elemental would make them more inclined to the elements, such as being resistive to them, make sense?"
Bell seemed to think over Viviane's words for a second, his expression twisting as he thought and seemed to connect the dots. "So, when your mother became the Demon lord, All monsters in this world became a- attracted to men?"
"Yes, but that was simply the tip of the iceberg. "My mother was powerful even then, more powerful than any succubus before her or has ever been since then, and her power was so great she changed all monsters on a massive scale, turning them from their monstrous forms to one more humanoid. They came to want spirit energy, came to want to find husbands as all monsters became women. that is how all monsters became Mamano, the women you saw in the camp."
"So, the reason some seemed to be eyeing me,-"
"Was quiet clearly because a number of them wanted to get into your pants and fuck you senseless, maybe even make you their husbands, yes," Viviane confirmed with a knowing smirk.
Bell looked down, his face turning as red as a cherry, as he tried to either remove the thoughts from his mind, or try to make sense of what it meant in a way that he wouldn't be embarrassed. Neither seemed to work as he looked back up, still very red in the face. "uh, why, why haven't they uh, done as you said then? It sounds like normally some would have."
"Under normal circumstances yes, any of them without husbands who found you to their liking would likely have tried to woo you, convince you to sleep with them, or in the extreme straight up jumped you and did the deed against your will," Viviane agreed with a smile that seemed out of place considering what she was describing. "However the two main reasons they did not is that we are a military force and I make sure a number of rules are followed at all times, and because I gave the order that you were not to be touched."
"But, I saw those two, uh, doing the deed, isn't that against your rules?" Bell asked nervously, his eyes shifting from side to side, seemingly unwilling to rest upon Viviane's form, even as covered as it was.
"Ah, yes, that. What they were doing was related to sex in the camp between members of the battalion itself. As you are a guest, and not a member of my battalion, a different set of rules applies to you. Some Mamano just rape a man that fancies them, but that often causes discord, especially in neutral territory and places that are not pleased by the presence of Mamano. To deal with that and stop it from occurring as my Battalion operates mostly out of Demon Lands I have a number of rules that restrict and outright inhibit the forcible taking of anyone not part of my battalion when we are in the field, regardless of place or reason, unless I say otherwise explicitly. Because of these rules, and the fact you are my guest, none have tried to jump you as of yet."
"So, they haven't tried anything because they respect that I am your guest and because of those rules?" Bell asked before nodding. "Okay, I think I understand."
"Ah, not quite," Viviane said with a grin. "No one is jumping you because they expect it is due to the idea that I was going to make you mine and wanted to savor you till tonight, and that as a Lilim, taking my target would be highly dangerous for them."
"Wh-what?" Bell exclaimed in shock and worry before tensing and half getting out of his seat, looking ready to bolt. "A-are you?"
"No," Viviane said simply. "I admit you are very cute, but you are not particularly my type. And even if I wanted to mold you till you were, I fully intend to follow my own rules properly."
"Oh, okay. That's good," Bell sighed in relief as he sat back down.
"I would not be so relieved. When it is discovered in the morning you are not an incubus and don't have my Mana all over you, many may begin to be a bit more willing to approach you to try to woo you, and then convince you to either join the battalion, be there's or come back with us so they can then claim you when we are not in the field anymore."
"But, you said-"
"Yes, my people will follow the rules but many will try to find loopholes in those rules. Besides, the fact that you, who has spent much time near me this evening yet has not become an incubus by simple proximity to me, will make many very curious about you. Some may even claim you are a hero."
"A Hero?" Bell asked, suddenly very curious about the term and its use.
"Yes though . . . hmm, I figure you could already be considered one anyway," Viviane mused, making Bell's expression shift to even more interested. "In these lands, a Hero is anyone who has directly received a blessing from one of the gods. Being that your, Falna, you mentioned is exactly that, it could be considered that you can already be called a hero."
Bell's expression shifted curiously. "No, that's not right. A Hero should be someone that does great things and earns it, not a title that is just given."
"Well, most of those who are heroes do actually do great things, though I believe all of them have become Mamano or Incubi right now due to one of my sisters actions about a decade ago."
" . . .Um, what is an Incubi? You mentioned it before right? Something about proximity?" Bell asked as some kind of noise could be heard from outside the tent.
"Yes. An Incubus is a man that has-" Viviane began to explain only for a bell to suddenly ring, sounding like it was right outside the tent. " Yes?"
Responding to Viviane's call the tent flap opened and Granith came in. "Ma'am, my scouts have returned with some success and information of note."
"Go ahead."
"Thank you. Some of them have reported that the Order forces south of us are closing up their camp and appear to be heading north, likely toward the nearby village of Strawstream."
"Unfortunate, I had hoped they would be intelligent enough to not do as such when I made it clear that I knew what they were planning," Viviane said with a shake of her head. "Anything else of note?"
"Yes. One of my scouts reported that an elf matching your guests description of his friend was sighted inside the Order camp under guard, and my daughter has found another. Come in," Granith then said as she stepped to the side.
The tent flap opened again and a very nervous and worried looking Mikoto stepped through, her expression then instantly turning to elation as she saw Bell. "Bell, thank goodness you are alright!"
"Mikoto!" Bell exclaimed as he got up and ran over to her, the pair meeting in the middle and hugging, a little bit to Bell's surprise, though it did not stop him from making sure she was alright. "Are you hurt? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, just confused," Mikoto admitted as they parted and she seemed to look over Bell for a second, right before her eyes drifted to Viviane and then back to Bell. "Do you know what is going on? One minute we are in the Wargame, the next I find myself in a field were I was looking for any sign of civilization only to get suddenly grabbed by some kind of bird woman and brought to wherever this place is!"
"This is the current Field Camp of The Ninth Battalion of the Demon Lords Army, led by myself," Viviane spoke up, her words seeming to give Mikoto pause. She then let out a hum before nodding to herself. "Granith, can you please lead our two guests to an empty tent where they can rest up and catch each other up on events before the morning rolls around?"
"It may take a while, but I am sure I can find a tent for them," Granith said with a nod.
"Ah, wait, what about what you still haven't explained?" Bell spoke up as he turned to face Viviane.
"It is late, and you have been reunited with one of your friends who does not understand the situation. There will be time to finish my explanations in the morning, along with what may be done in regards to where you stay," Viviane said with a strange wave of her hand. "If nothing else, I need to begin planning an offensive to protect the nearby village from the order."
"let us help then," Mikoto spoke up suddenly. "This one said our friend Ryuu was captured by them after all."
"That, should be spoken of in the morning after you are aware of just where you are, and what your situation is."
"But-" Bell began to say, stopping when one of Granith's large avian like hands was placed on his shoulder.
"You have heard the Commanders orders. Come, I shall find you both a tent."
Bell paused for a second before nodding and then looked at Viviane. "Thank you, for both having your people look for my friends, saving me, and finding Mikoto."
"Of course, it would not do to have you simply wander the wilderness after all," Viviane said with a smile. "Have a good rest, both of you."
Both Bell and Mikoto looked like they wanted to say something but simply nodded thanks and were then led out of the Tent by Granith leaving Viviane alone for a time.
It did not last long as barely half an hour later Granith returned with Dranielle alongside her. "You gave the hand motion that you wanted to see the both of us after I had finished with them?" Granith asked calmly as she and Dranielle took seats at the table.
"Yes, tell me, what do the two of you think our of our now two guests?" Viviane asked with a smile.
"The boy is comically innocent and naïve," Dranielle said quickly. "The barest idea of anything sexual turns him as red as a cherry."
"The girl, from the few minutes I was with her, seems much more cautious and wary of her surroundings. A warrior through and through who has been through a decent amount I would wager, but I could tell she was taken back by many of the noises and smells of the camp coming from some tents," Granith said, offering her opinion on Mikoto.
"Then allow me to tell you of something interesting," Viviane said with a smirk. "Not only do both of them have physical blessings from gods of their world carved into their backs it sounds like, but those very blessings seem to either make them immune to demonic energy, or at least resistant to it."
"How are you so sure?" Dranielle asked curiously.
"Bell told me of their world, but more interesting was that I was causally directing Demonic energy under the table toward him the entire time he was sitting down. I expected he would start losing himself to lust and start turning into an incubus in mere moments, but he showed no reaction whatsoever."
"That is, concerning, but I fail to see how important it is I admit," Granith stated from her seat.
"It is not so much important, as highly curious," Viviane admitted. "I recognized the names of some gods he listed off, and I am curious as to just how resistant to conversion they are."
"You will be keeping them in the camp then?" Dranielle asked.
"Yes, even more I believe I shall attempt to have them join our forces, after all, if they want to save their friend, they will need to fight the order, and that itself will make them it's enemy, and our ally."
"I understand, I shall prepare to have gear acquired for them in the morning," Dranielle said with a nod.
"Excellent," Viviane said with a grin. " I am hoping they both prove to be proficient fighters, and worthy additions to our cause. Ah, that does remind me, Granith, you said your daughter was the one who found Bells friend?"
"She did yes," Granith said with a shallow nod. "I may have offered a reward to any who found his friends due to the ones who volunteered being off shift."
"Ah, that would explain why your normally lazy daughter found her I suppose," Viviane said before seeming to think for a second. " I believe her reward will be that she can be allowed to act near Bell and his friends, as sort of, attaché to them so that they can be made aware of the rules and regulations if they do agree to join our forces to save their friend. Does that sound alright to you?"
"I believe she will be very happy with that as I had seen her eyeing the boy before she and the others left," Granith said with a nod.
"Excellent," Viviane said as she leaned forward in her chair and loosened her robe, allowing her ample bust the freedom they needed. "Then now that that is settled, we have a villages defense to plan!"
