And here we are with the next chapter, decided to update this fic alongside another fic I've been working on, so I hope you enjoy this one!

Chapter 2

My eyes opened up when I heard the loud knocking before the door was immediately opened, letting out a tired groan. I slowly moved to sit up.

"Jesus mum what is it?" I moaned out, wiping my eyes. I suddenly stopped when I saw that my hands were covered in armor. "Oh, damn it." Great looks like sleeping didn't fucking help me whatsoever.

Looking up I saw a rather disgruntled looking Goodwitch who just looked at me with a raised eyebrow, it was mostly likely due to the 'mum' comment I made.

"Sorry my mum is usually the only one that barges into my room out of nowhere." I casually explained as I quietly moved to get out of my bed.

"Ozpin will see you now, hopefully you're actually capable of speaking this time around." I had to physically bite my tongue so as to not throw back an annoyed comeback to that backhanded comment.

Quickly the two of us moved out of the room and I quietly moved behind the headmistress, my eyes wandering around the areas we moved past, starting in front of the dorm building to one of the main buildings that most likely held the majority of the classes they had with huntsman training.

Then we moved through a large courtyard that looked rather spacious and gave me that college campus feel you would expect from such a place… I wonder if anyone lives out in the city and taxi back via bullhead to school and back? I would think that it would be rather troublesome with there being teams, wait what if for some certain circumstances there are people who don't have a team or have… well now that I think about it that would be quite the depressing concept.

Soon we moved into the tower and without a second thought I stood in the middle of the elevator while Goodwitch moved in to press the button to Ozpin's office.

Everything fell to silence as we made our way up, the only thing that broke the silence was the movement of the elevator that continued to pull us up until the elevator suddenly stopped and after a couple of seconds a ding rang out through the air before the door fully opened revealing Ozpin's office.

Walking in I felt somewhat intimidated as Ozpin's office was large and definitely had that master of all time feel to it.

"Good to see you are looking better Hamish, now then we can continue to discuss last night's… incident." Ozpin said, I moved my attention to the man of the hour who sat at his desk across from me.

Yeah 'discuss' that's a good alternative word for interrogation.

"What do you want to know." I stated rather frankly, I wanted to get this dumb thing out the way.

"Where are you from?" I was uncertain on how to answer the question so I just decided to take a deep breath and answer truthfully.

"I'm from New Zealand sir." I spoke, my tone rather emotionless or as emotionless as you can get when you feel the look of intimidation in the back of your spine.

"Where is this New Zealand you speak of?" Now here's the tricky part, do I give him the full truth or… no I'd better not give him the full truth.

"Honestly sir I don't know where my home is, we don't exactly have a world map of the place." I exclaimed, trying to calm my elevated heart rate as I saw how Ozpin looked at me, I had to force myself to look directly in the man's eyes when I spoke.

"I see, so you're from an uncharted island, I take it." Ozpin finally spoke, closing his eyes while I mentally jumped in accomplishment.

"As far as I'm certain sir it's pretty chartered." I said rather truefully I mean New Zealand is chartered alright… What does chartered even mean again?

"I see… do you remember anything more about how you ended up in the basement?" Ozpin asked a rather serious question and I just shook my head.

"No sir, it's as I said I was going to sleep and then the void and then here I am, nothing really to add." I spoke casually as I didn't bother to add any further information.

"Do you know what you saw down there?" Suddenly the room's temperature dropped as soon as the words were uttered.

I was unsure as to how I should answer but I knew that if I lied I would be contradicting my actions when I stood just a metre away from the capsule.

"I'm… unsure as to what to say." I suddenly admitted, taking a couple seconds to think I continued my answer. "I just saw a woman that was in a capsule, she just looked like she was in between being dead and just barely staying alive." I said as I couldn't stop the frown that appeared on my face as I remembered the scene that I saw with Amber being shot in the chest with an arrow. "I don't exactly want to know why she's down there and frankly I don't think I need to know why at the moment."

"I see, are you certain that you don't want to know?" Ozpin asked, I looked up towards the headmaster and nodded my head up and down.

Of course I didn't need to know, I already know anyway so there was no point in hearing another detailed story as to how she ended up the way she did, then again not like Ozpin would trust to tell me in the first place.

"Alright then... I believe we are done with this discussion." Ozpin said and Immediately I felt a weight lifted off from my shoulders, finally.

"I would like to ask you… have you ever thought about taking up being a huntsman?" Ozpin suddenly asked and I immediately felt my brain stop for a quick second.

"A. Huntsman… well I can't say I haven't thought about it, I mean I would love to become one but I don't exactly have the correct qualifications." I tried to come up with a valid reason as to why I never thought about it.

"I see, so you don't believe you are fit to become a huntsman?" Ozpin asked as I nodded my head in agreement.

"Yes, I mean I do have my Aura unlocked and all but when it comes to actually combat I don't exactly see myself being rather confident in that field." I spoke as I really did not see myself confident to fight anyone, which made me berate my tired past self for thinking that I shouldn't have damn combat capabilities god why in the hell am I such a dick to my SI's seriously?

"What if hypothetically I allow you to spar with one of my students and if you win a round or manage to keep your Aura above the red for thirty seconds would that give you the right confidence to want to become a huntsman?" Ozpin offered as I found myself suddenly thinking seriously about the supposed hypothetical.

"I well… if I was given the chance I would take it and regardless of the results I'd be happy that I at least tried." I said seriously watching how Ozpin nodded with a small smile on his face.

"I see, I too am interested in this hypothetical." Ozpin got up from his desk and made his way over to me. "Well then shall we make this hypothetical reality?"

"After you sir." I gestured for Ozpin to take the lead.

This is either going to end badly or I'm going to luck out with my supposed opponent.

"I seriously need to stop jinxing myself." I mumbled under my breath while I watched how the combat class walked in and had to be the same one that included Teams RWBY and JNPR.

Just as I saw the two distinctive teens through the rather brightly-colored crowd of teens, I mean the reason behind the shadow people was definitely because there would be too many damn people that would just overshadow the main characters with their own distinctive rainbow like colour palettes.

But again just as I saw the two teens I quickly pulled out the the Last Hand Ace that sat on my thigh on a magnetic plate and quickly checked the ammo cartridge I had placed and saw that it was ice, ok my left is ice and I already checked before but my right Ace had fire dust inside ok this should be good despite the fact I have never once fired either one of these guns in combat, I did do a quick fire check before everyone came in to see if I could handle the recoil just fine in one hand and the results were rather surprising as I found myself able to take it with no problem.

Still though I was pretty damn unnerved when I saw how everyone was now looking in my direction, thank fuck I pull my capes hood over my head before everyone walked in, but then again that could be reason why I'm getting stares in the first place.

Oh for fucks sake can we get this shit over and done with already? My left hand was already moving to one of my knives that sat in the back of my belt while the other two for some reason sat in a pair of holsters on my back and were just hidden under my Memory of Cayde cloak.

"Alright students please be quiet." Goodwitch suddenly spoke and everyone immediately stopped their insistent chatting, "For today's class we are first going to have a small sparring session between one of you and this soon to be student." The way she spoke told me that Goodwitch wasn't actually hopeful that I would become a student but she was probably forced to say it because Ozpin told her to.

Speaking of the wizard, he just stood off to the side with his cane in one hand while the other held his mug of what I assume is some kind of super coffee that was harvested in the middle of butt fuck nowhere, god damn I'm going to need therapy after this shit show.

"Now then the first to fight Mr Hamish shall be…" Glynda tapped away at her Ipad like Scroll and images of the students started to rotate downwards, I had to look towards the holographic screens that sat in the middle of the air and mentally pray to whoever the hell was out there to give me someone easy to fight or at least someone who wasn't from the main cast.

Suddenly an image of someone I really wished wasn't on the board.

"Yang Xiao Long, please come down." As Goodwitch told the teen I quickly pulled out ace and let the cartridge slide out into my open hand, if I'm going to fight her of all people I'm going to have to play this as safely as I could possibly around my left hand in my pouch I pulled out a cratriage that was coloured light blue.

Quickly I slipped the cartridge into the ace and flicked the cylinder back into place with a loud audible snap and click.

Placing my Ace back into my right thigh I watched as the blonde girl with fiery personality finally walked onto the well lit arena, she looked exactly like a younger more bustier version of her own voice actress and her outfit really didn't leave much to the imagination.

"Hey, my eyes up here." The blonde teen exclaimed in a joking fashion as she gestured to her eyes with her hands. "Don't you worry about my gauntlets, you'll be getting an up and close personal look at them in a minute."

"I'm definitely screwed." I muttered under my breath as Goodwitch started a loud counter that beeped throughout the arena.

Beep

Beep

Beep

Beep

Beep

BEEP!

With that I quickly moved, dashing to the left around the arena my eyes watched as Yang shot herself into the air using her shotgun gauntlets to propel herself towards my direction. Quickly I pulled out my right Ace and pointed it in the direction and pulled the trigger, the handcannon kicked upwards while the blue projectile shot out of the barrel and in a lucky turn of events slammed into Yang mid air covering a good portion of her chest.

Unfortunately the girl still kept her moment as her semi ice covered body flew right in my direction, quickly I dropped my body down into a crouch as the blonde haired girl flew right over my head. I heard Yang let out a grunt as her body hit the arena ground and without thinking twice my arm and body spun around as I aimed towards Yang, pulling the trigger as many times as I could peppering the blonde girl until she was fully covered in ice.

It wasn't until I heard the loud click from my Ace did I finally stop pulling the trigger, slowly I pushed myself back onto my feet with a quick glance to the holographic screens above I saw both mine and Yang's aura levels, Yang's was just in the halfway while I was completely in the green.

Not to be fooled by what most would probably be an easy win I took this time to quickly load my Ace, opening the cylinder I held my gun up allowing the spent cartridge to simply fall out while my left hand pulled a three more cartridges each colour differently as I saw a red, green and brown cartridge each.

As I knew from beforehand red AKA fire was out of the question, but the other two.

Suddenly I heard an explosion of fire and ice breaking so I just slid one of the two cartridges in and before flipping the cylinder closed I checked and saw that I had placed the brown cartridge in, with that in mind I slipped the other two cartridges back into one of my belt pouches.

Looking back to Yang I saw how the girl was now on literal fire as she was just getting up.

"Well aren't you the nice one-" I didn't bother to allow Yang to speak any further as I aimed Ace once more at Yang pulled the trigger, as if learning from previously Yang quickly dodged and threw herself once more towards me using her gauntlets to shoot across to me.

But instead of her possibly hitting me this time I quickly leaned back as far back and started falling backwards until I held my left hand out to the ground and quickly rolled onto my stomach. Holding Ace up once more I aimed at Yang but this time I aimed for her legs and fired a brown bullet shot out and completely encased her foot in rock and earth.

Yang looked rather pissed as she tried to move but another shot and her bicep was covered in the same rock and earth, another shot followed the next until the most of the girls body was held in place by rock, I practically imprisoned her in that same exact spot while guttural roars of anger told me that while Yang was indeed struggling she was unable to break the rock apart.

This was a confusing matter that I will need to think about later, cause when I looked up at the holographic screen again I saw the Aura levels had changed, for some reason my Aura went down a portion and Yangs was now in the yellow.

Ok if I continue fighting I'm either A going to keep getting lucky or B I'm going to get my ass seriously handed to me once Yang finally gets out of her earthly prison, I mean I could hear the cracks of rock from here telling me that she was actually trying to break out.

So I quickly got up onto my feet and slowly walked around the arena, my eyes were still on Yang as her crimson eyes caught my movement and she started to struggle more against her slowly breaking prison. Quietly I glanced at the nearby arena boundary line that was just a metre away from and I dashed.

Gasps echoed from the stands and I saw Yang looking at me with wide shocked eyes and I just casually slipped Ace back into my thigh and just walked towards the area where I was told was the locker room where I saw Ozpin standing just outside of his mug still in hand but now he had a small proud like smile on his face.

"Winner Yang Xiao Long via walk out from Hamish." I heard Goodwitch announce, her tone sounded like she was rather displeased with the outcome.

"How long was I in there?" I asked Ozpin as he took a quick sip of his mug.

"Twenty six seconds." Ozpin said and I felt somewhat conflicted by the time I had accomplished, on one hand I was happy that I lasted that long without getting hit once but at the same time I felt like I should have done more instead of walking out at the last second.

"From what I saw though, I can see you would make a lovely addition to my school." Ozpin suddenly spoke up and I blinked in surprise. "If you would please follow me we will now sort your necessary paperwork in order to admit you into my school." Ozpin said, the old wizard quickly turned and walked off with me silently following behind.

In my head though I was, I don't know surprised, shocked, elated? Whatever I don't know I just got into fucking Beacon with little to no issue whatsoever!

"Oh and I would advise you not to speak to anyone about last night's incident, is that clear?" I could hear the edge in Ozpin's voice; my previous feelings were immediately replaced with dread.

"Yes sir." I immediately spilled out.

I'm fucked.
