Hello everyone.
Now, I know everyone is waiting for updates on… Well, everything, really. And I'm sorry this isn't a true update like people expected… But truthfully, it is just as important.
Well, I'm here with two news to share… And one of them is a decision I've made after much deliberation, and a very long and heartfelt talk with my theater teacher.
First: Work is still progressing, though not for any of my personal projects (yet). I'm currently working on an omake I was asked if I could do, and slowly but surely, it's moving forward, primarily because of responsibilities here at home clogging up my free time. Once I finish that, I'll return to my own writing schedule and work on the next chapter of Special Delivery, which believe me, I am very excited to write up.
All of that, however… Relates to the second news. Which is the bigger one.
Right now, I've been unemployed for quite a while. And while at first this didn't affect my output/drive for writing, and it is something I absolutely love to do, it is also technically a hobby. And with Brazil's economy going to hell like it is, and being unable to find a job… I've decided to take the leap.
So, I made the decision to turn my writing into my "full-time job", and open up a Puretoreon. This decision was only solidified to me after my previously mentioned talk with my theater teacher, who I ended up turning into an impromptu therapist yesterday, and who told me that if my writing has been starting to get results, and I love doing it (which I do, IMMENSELY), then there is no problem with wishing to make it my living.
Truth be told, the way she showed her support for me legitimately almost made me cry… I wanted to hear stuff like that for a while now from someone next to me.
Now, this is my current plan: right now, Brazil's economy is blasted to hell. As a result, the dollar has a significant value advantage over our coin, the real (right now, roughly, 1 dollar equals 5 reais). So, to match the minimum wage of a work here, my goal is making ~300 dollars a month.
This amount would be enough to both pay all my bills, and leave leftover money for either savings, or turn it back into content for my stories (essentially, get visual art for the story for it, like character designs and such, so as to replace all the placeholders in use).
Once again, I'm sorry for whatever delays are happening, everyone. I am, and forever will be, thankful for the love and care my readers have shown for my work. It is the biggest thing that drives me forward, and I hope to continue living up to your expectations.
Here are the links for both Puretoreon and Ko-Fi (folks on FFnet, here's the butchered version to piece together, otherwise it's the normal one)
EDIT: Turns out FFnet is incredibly poopoo when it comes to linking this stuff, so drastic measures are needed:
Just google my FFnet username on both sites and you should easily find me. Gosh darn it to heck with this difficulty...
Once again, thank you so much for everything, folks, and see you next update.
