Hello folks, my name, at least that you all know here, is Azrael DarkWings.

I'm a somewhat interesting guy with an abnormal bend towards writing, and it turns out my brain is strongly wired in the areas of language usage and communications... That's funny to me, as I got a perfect score on a professional MTBI Test for Introvert. I'm serious, out of 30 questions to test for Introversion/Extroversion, I scored a perfect 30.

Anywho, that's enough about the IRL me, now onto the good stuff; Azrael DarkWings, author on Fanfiction.

When I first joined the community, I did it on a whim to write a fanfic. No joke. Read one good fic, in my opinion, and then went about constructing a Fan fiction of my own. That wound up dying in my doc manager, as my Beta went to Thailand for a year without warning, true story.

So I became a fairly frequent reader here, until I went to college and met one of my suite mates, who turned out to be Dreadburner94 here on Fanficiton. Needless to say, I thank Dread for kicking me in the pants to get writing again.

For the record, my pen name came from a fairly odd source, Azrael is the name of one, and supposedly the main, angel of death in the Judeo-Christian system. The DarkWings part? That comes from a character who was the entity of death in an old prototype original story of mine, who earned the moniker, 'He who comes silently on dark wings.'

Basic Info Needed and Ground Rules:

Summary:

Guild Information: The Twilight Brigade is a Fiore based Guild-Unit that has served the Crown and Military since its inception, and it has a wall of medals and awards to prove it. However the years have not been kind to the Guild, and now they are in critical need of new members in order to continue operating. Other then that the Guild's motto is a rather simple one to surmise the mission of both themselves and the First Mage King who appointed their First Guild Leader: "To Ward and Endure." Upon those words were the Guild's foundations laid.

World Information: The World that the Twilight Brigade takes place in is one far removed from the days of Fairy Tail and other guilds of the main story line. It's more so of a future AU where the gods of both heaven and hell decided that they were done with humans and the like were just going to finish all of their business in one fell swoop. As such, most of the world of Earthland is now made up of wastes that devour anything and everything it touches.

As such Guilds have risen in both importance to the leaders of the various surviving countries as both firepower to keep themselves together and as symbols of hope and security for common people.

The Twilight Brigade is a Guild-Unit hybrid outfit that operates both under Military authority from the Government and also on its own as a semi-independent mage guild. As such they can handle a wide range of jobs from a variety of sources, and they can operate where either a military unit cannot or a mage guild will not. The guild has also been in Magnolia for around the same number of years as the New Kingdom of Fiore itself, and Aria has been the Guild's Leader for 5 of those years.

Another thing would be that the power structure in Fiore has the Mage-King at the top, followed by the Four Earls, each of which controls one of the main four elements of earth, fire, wind and water.

OC Slots: Submissions are open and story is live . My standards are remaining as they were, but I'll be a bit more willing to work with people on making a character up to standards then I used to be.

AKA: I would really be grateful for more OCs, otherwise I'll have to write even more longer lasting characters myself or retool the story around a smaller group of characters.

Magic Restrictions

Slayers: 2. Will not take ones used so far in canon, and would prefer god slayers and demon slayers over dragon slayers, as they fit the scenario better and seeing as how out of the three generations of dragon slayers we really have information on, two are unusable due to the requirement of actual Dragons to exist.

Dragon Slayers must either be from the Second or Fifth Generation, aka Artificial Dragon Slayers or Dragon Eaters; although if it meets a VERY difficult grade a First Generation Dragon Slayer can be submitted.

Elemental Magics: Due to the state of the world I've decided to play the story in, Magics of the the traditional four elements; Fire, Water, Earth and Wind, are heavily restricted and thus all magicians of that type are taken into government care. Revision: Limitations for Fire, Water, Earth and Winds magics and their derivatives are now loosened. However, the following rules will apply now: Only 1 magician for each Element or Element-derived magic, Only one element per magician, and the character must come from a noble or bastard lineage, I will release the names for them shortly, and info on them in the next few chapters. More info as time goes on.

Also in regards to Slayers, no Slayer can use a canon Element, or ones that were almost canon like Water Dragon Slayer.

Rules

As my current docket reads, I have a high number of A Class mages. So I'm going to be making my critiques of A Class a little harder.

This means please look at sending in lower ranker magicians, possibly even creating characters who have just joined or will be joining the Guild freshly in the coming chapters.

I do take reservations for OC Slots. So feel free to ask for one. I know how long it can take to fill out the form and make a good a character.

You MUST completely fill out the form, with the exception of the optional categories. I will not accept your character if you do not fill it out.

No character submitted to the reviews will be accepted, I want the ability to chat back and forth in order to refine characters who are on the line of take or no take and review submissions are not very good for that.

Nothing like Crash Magic or Black Magic. It’s simply too OP. Also, don’t give your OC any sort of magic that makes them invincible, even if they’re a high rank.

I will accept 2 OCs max from a single person. You don’t have to send in 2, that’s just the limit on how many you can send. If you do send in 2 and one of them is an S-Class , the other one cannot be an S-Class, they must be of a lower rank. This also applies to Slayers, if you make one, your second OC cannot also be a Slayer.

I will not accept any sort of characters with relations to a canon character, due to the setting of the story.

Max of 2 magics per character.

Should you make a character with 2 magics, they must have some sort of connection that makes them work well together and there must be a good reason as to why they learned a second magic beyond it simply being a whim.

No Time-based magics. No excessively powerful Space-based magics.

S-Class must be at least 23 years old and it'd be preferable for them to be comfortable in there position. They must have also been in the guild for a minimum of 3 years for S-Class. A-Class must be at least 20 years old, and have proven themselves as competent and reliable.

Restrictions on magic, gender, personality types and whatnot will be added as characters are submitted so I can avoid getting too many similar characters.

You must be willing to work with me if I feel like something about your character needs tweaked or fixed to work better with the story. If I ask you to change something, I am not trying to be mean or anything, it is because I need it to be changed so that it can work as best as it can.

Remember that all towns in Fiore follow a flower theme when naming original towns.

Feel free to send in your OC in more than one PM. OC Forms can be very long and I don't mind getting submissions in more than one message, in fact the more you put into your character sheet, and the easier it is to understand, the better your odds of getting one of the character slots.

Do keep in mind that I do reserve the right to deny your character. Not to be mean or rude to you, but if I feel that a character is just not working out, if it has content that I am uncomfortable writing and you refuse to change it, if the OC simply doesn’t follow the rules or if I genuinely feel that no effort was made in making the character, I do reserve the right to refuse them.

Lastly, have fun creating your character. I know rules can be stifling and filling out such a long form can be exhausting, as I’ve already filled out four of them myself at this point, but you should have fun with it and create something you can be excited about.

S-Rank is reserved for those who prove themselves through feats of strength or strategy, as well as having a minimum of five-ten (5-10) years of guild membership and also having proven themselves loyal and trustworthy.))

Guild Section: ((Combatant (The mages who take combat related jobs or ones that have the strongest and most suspected chances of fighting occurring), Support (Non-combat oriented magicians, medical staff, maintenance workers and people who prefer behind the scenes work) and Special Cases(People who are meant for either undercover operations or who hold an irregular role outside of regular classification.)))

Combatant members are the normal fighters and adventurous types, with their superiors being either Arwyn or Myst.

Support members fall under Asher’s care, and act mostly in a capacity of repairing equipment and machinery used by other guild members, as well as non-fighting missions or for disaster relief and supply distribution. The other Officer assigned is Karina Von Reines, although she does not play well with others.

Special Cases report directly to Aria and/or Arwyn depending on the missions they are a part of, and depending on the level of their dive they will most likely get less screen time unless they get a personal arc or require an extraction.

REQUIRED QUESTIONS

Acknowledgment of the possibility of death: As the setting I have done this time around has moved darker, I thought it would be a good idea to change up what this originally had in its place. Instead of just putting down tiers of injuries, another fiction writing just put a section here where you, the OC submitter, acknowledge that you are okay with me killing off the character you send it. I will not make such a decision lightly, but with the current tone of the story I honestly believe this works better overall.

Special Note: If the time comes your character is going to die, how do you want them to die? Given the nature of the world that is shaping up for this Fic, death is a very real possibility. That doesn't mean I would kill them off lightly, but if your character was going to die and had no more outs, how would you, the submitter, want it to go down?
