After capturing the person inside the Titan, Levi Squad and Chaldea start an interrogation to find out whatever they can about his shifting powers.
Both groups were surrounding the man, who kept his mouth shut as to not reveal anything.
"Talk, we're not going to tolerate your silence much longer" - Levi said with his arms crossed.
The man however, kept silent.
"So it's going to be like that? Fine then" - Levi took one of his swords and stabbed the leg of the man, making him scream in pain - "Better? Feel like talking yet?" -
"You truly are... Demons" - the man said weakly as the sword was pulled from his body.
"Where did you came from? Who sent you?" - Ritsuka started asking franticly.
"No one, I did this on my own" - their prisioner answered.
"So that's the case? And how exactly do you have the power to turn into a Titan?" - Muramasa was the one that talked this time.
"I was... Born with it" -
"Born? Weird, I could've sworn you hesitated before saying that" - Shiki said while toying with her knife - "Could it be that you're perhaps, lying to us?" -
The man once again returned to absolute silence, recieving another one of Levi's blades, this time in his shoulder.
"SOMEONE GAVE IT TO ME!" - the man screamed in pain.
"Gave it? How exactly?" - Mash asked.
"They told me... They found a 'tresure' that would make us more powerful than anyone else. Then, they opened my chest and... Something entered" -
"Something entered? Did you saw what it was?" - Reines leaned over to the man's face.
"I don't know I swear! They didn't told me, I just felt it crawling inside my body and then... I could transform into this" -
Everyone looked at the man, bleeding and looking a bit desesperate due to the situation.
"He says something is inside him, what do we do know?" - Ritsuka started to think of what they could do.
"We cut him open" - Levi said as quickly as one could.
"Please don't do it! I don't want to do this, I didn't wanted!" - the man yelled, trying to avoid him getting killed - "Just let me return to my family!" -
Levi readied his blade, but before he could attack the man, Ritsuka stopped him.
"What do you think you're doing?" -
"We won't need to kill him, a single drop of his blood will be enough. I'll send it with Da Vinci so she can examine it.
Levi took a good hard look at the bloddied and crying man before lowering his weapon.
"Fine then just hope he doesn't give us any problems" -
With the help of the syringie that he had, Ritsuka took some of the man's blood and asked one of his Servants to deliver it to Chaldea. To his surprise, Illya was the one who offered herself to take it, but also asked to stay there.
"I'm sorry Master, it's just that... The things we've seen here, I've tried to stay strong but seeing the corpses and everyone dying... I just can't take it" -
"Don't worry Illya, I understand, things haven't been easy for me as well, so I get how you feel" -
"So I can return to Chaldea and you won't be mad?" -
"Why would I be mad? You've done a great job here, you deserve to rest, but I'm going to ask you that once you're there, you ask other Servant to come here" -
"Who?" -
"Enkidu please" -
With that, Illya shook her head and returned to Chaldea with the blood.
"How long do you think she'll be gone?" - Levi asked behind him.
"Not much, a day I hope" -
"Fine then, and what do we do with mister Titan over there?" -
"Don't kill him, at least for now. Try to figure out as much as you can out of him" -
The Chaldeans and Levi Squad parted ways and, while they did expected the blood sample to take about a day to be found, they were surprised when Enkidu RayShifted and informed them of something they had to know.
"Master, Asclepius and Da Vinci scanned the blood. While it's a normal human's one, there's something extra there, what allows them to transform into Titans" -
"Energy of the Grail? If that's the case, they had alredy informed me" -
"Apart from that, there's another energy inside that they havn't been able to identify" -
"Finding out what that energy is is, for the moment, our highest priority then" -
"What will we tell Levi and the others?" - Mash asked curious.
"Tell him that we found nothing and that the blood is the same as any other human. Until we manage to secure the location of the Grail, we can't let them know" -
The Servants thought the action a bit cuestionable, considering they alredy knew something about them and Chaldea, but understandable, letting them know about an object that could turn humans into inteligent Titans could cause chaos.
After that, everyone went to sleep.
The next day, Levi informed that that thanks to Eren defeating the other Titan, he started to be considered an ally to the people between the Walls and so, Zackary decided to put him under the supervision of the Survey Corps, with Levi in charge of him.
Ritsuka decided to greet the new member of the Squad and tried to ask him about his Titan form, but he found out that the only thing Eren knew was to transform into it, but nothing beyond that.
"Well, thst's dissapointing, I expected we could find anything about it" -
"Sorry but I don't know anything, but I want to learn as much as I can. If I can use this power to kill the Titans, then I need to dominate it" -
"Wow, you're really determinated to kill the Titans, something happened to you because of them?" -
Ritsuka then swa how Eren started to clench his fist before talking.
"The day the Colossus Titan breached the Walls... A Titan ate my mom in front of me. Since then, I wished to exterminate the Titans, until every single one of them is dead" -
"I'm... Sorry about it" - Ritsuka didn't knew what to say exactly - "But if that's what you wish, me and my friends will help you in whatever we can" -
After that, both shook their hands and smiled.
