Alright I actually worked on several chapters at once, and yes I had devoted most of it here. Also I plan on this one actually having a chapter limit. Maybe 30 or 35, depending on what happens. Let's get to it.

[Malibu: Beach House]

The boys were all gathered in the living room playing clash bros and hanging out, almost all of them. Church sat at the kitchen table going over some blueprints of the beach house and the neighborhood. Just a usual weekend for these guys, Church working while the others goof off and enjoy their time together.

The ladies had also stopped by to check on them, as one by one they entered the house. Sam, Clover and Alex all waved to Church as they went to catch a quick break. Sam went to the back to try to study outside because the guys might be too hyper when they play videogames. Clover stayed with Church who was the most calm at the moment and Alex who was sipping an energy drink after her powerful workout in the kitchen.

"You will not believe the day that I had." Clover started.

Church, still focusing on his own defensive plan decided to listen, "Okay, what happened?"

"So classes are going fine, just about to end when I see this guy on campus who I haven't noticed before. So I'm like totally prepared to introduce myself when suddenly Mandy comes out of nowhere and-" Clover continued her never ending story.

Church honestly didn't mind because he was focusing on the main parts, blocking out her valley girl talk, and plotting his defense. Meanwhile the guys and the ladies who had heard this story before were begging some force of nature would save them. Their prayers were answered.

The floor beneath each of them gave way and soon they were sucked back into the lobby of Jerry's office. Unlike before Jerry wore no smug smile and even worse Donut had a similar expression. As they all rose from their uncomfortable pile they knew that something was gonna be up.

"What's the matter Jerr?" Alex questioned as Jerry had unfolded his hand and let them fall on the table.

Jerry took a deep sigh before he began, "It has come to my attention that after your recent mission it appears your enemies are not taking chances. They were armed with assault weapons and I sent you in without any gadgets in an attempt to test your skills. I failed and nearly sent you to an early grave. Never again."

"Aww Jerry, it's cool we managed to get by." Grif answered.

Jerry cocked an eyebrow, "With some... help?"

"You know about the guns?" Grif asked.

"Well he does now dumbass." Simmons insulted Grif.

Jerry nodded, "I knew about them, yes. However I fear all of you may need them. Which is why I am lifting your restriction on firearms."

"There's something else. The criminals who escaped, they had machines instead of mercenaries or hired guns. I might wanna check up on that if I were you." Church advised.

"Thank you, we'll keep that in mind." Jerry said, "In the meantime I think some of you may need to go through training."

"Well we know what we are doing, with all due respect sir." Simmons countered.

"That may be true, but the ladies are still... inexperienced. So we called in the first number we could to get some new gear, weapons and training. They said he trained you guys." Donut added.

"Oh no." Grif worried.

"Ohhh yes..." A deep south voice answered.

The boys turned around with painful memories in the back of their minds to find Sarge standing right behind them. Happy grin on his face and can do look in his eye, they knew it was gonna be a long day. With a sigh they all welcomed him back.

"Sarge, not that we aren't glad to see you but don't you think we know how to use our stuff already?" Church argued.

"Not the new stuff." Sarge immediately shot back.

Tucker jumped up, practically with joy, "New stuff... you mean... we finally getting recognized."

"More like the original team's hand me downs." Sarge spoke honestly.

The boys suddenly wore looks of defeat as they were just getting the short end of a stick. The ladies however were thrilled to receive some new gadgets that they hadn't tested out yet.

"So sir, what are we getting?" Samantha asked.

"Please call me Sarge." Sarge had insisted politely.

"Okay Sarge, lay it on us." Alex said as she held her hand out.

"Not here... we're going to the training sim." Sarge answered.

"We've never needed that before." Grif pointed out, "What's your play?"

"My play is everyone get in the simulation room ASAP." Sarge demanded.

Caboose began to raise his hand.

"ASAP stands for As Soon As Possible. "

"Ohhh... what does the A stand for?" Caboose asked again.

[One trip to the simulation room]

The simulation room, as it sounds it is a room that adjusts to different environments, conditions and other variables that may be involved throughout different circumstances in the field. It can create whatever weapon is desired, whatever enemy you can remember, every detail is precise. The perfect place to test their newest gadgets.

Sarge had them line up in alphabetical order based on their first names. Each of them waiting patiently for their gear as Sarge walked around the room playing with the tablet. Finally he paused and finished toying with the settings. In the clear empty room was a table that popped out of construction pixels.

Thus starting Sarge off, "Alexandra Casoy." (Honestly not sure if this is her real name or not I'm relying on Hero Fandom.)

"Yes sir..." Alexandra called out, nervous after seeing how worried the boys had been.

Sarge went over a clipboard he carried with him and didn't look up from it, "Ms. Casoy, is it safe to assume that you are a fan of nature and animals? That you feel comfortable with creatures in the same way you would feel comfortable with your friends?"

"Uhhh... yeah that is right." Alex answered.

"Then your callsign is 'NOMAD'." Sarge said pulling out an armband from his pocket and placing it on Alex. "And your gear are gonna be the mesh mines; a laser grid defense system that explodes when someone crosses it. Your new best friend is gonna be an attack dog... your job is to train it, care for it and in this case get one yourself. Understood?"

"I get a dog?" Alex asked excited, "That is so cool, thank you."

Sarge smiled then continued forward, "Clover Ewing?"

"Yeah sir." Clover responded.

"I won't lie finding something for you was a difficult task. However I noticed that unfortunately your record shows you have been captured the most out of your team. So I have decided to make you a dangerous person to attempt to capture." Pulling out another armband he placed it on her, "Your callsign is now, 'RUIN' cause that is what you leave for the enemy, that is what you'll do to their day. Your new toys, the grabbling gun and the Grav Slam. First one is easy to use and is simple, the Grav Slam is basically physics put into action, it does two things launches you in the air then drops you back down with the force of a goddamn earthquake and thunder."

"Wow... this is... amazing. Thanks Sarge." Clover said.

"Now onto my favorite fat ass..." Sarge announced as he walked over to Grif.

Grif sighed as he knew he was coming up, "Let's get this over with."

"Over the years you have shown you can do one thing better than anyone."

"And that is?"

"Pathways." Sarge stated.

"Come again?"

"Throughout this career you have made it obvious you either cut people off from going into certain areas or open a door for your team." Sarge refused to look Grif in the eye while giving him his arm band, "'Torque'. You are have this bundle of Razor Wires, kicking ass since WW1." Sarge said handing him a flat circle roughly 2 feet in diameter, "And the Barricade..." Sarge pulled out another piece of equipment, this one was 3.25 feet wide and 4 feet long, "When unfolded it does the same shit as Razor Wire, but with microwaves... keeps the enemy disoriented and unable to attack you."

"Can I cook a burrito on it?" Grif wondered feeling hungry.

Sarge then stopped in front of Church who is known as the former leader, but also known for rogue like actions. He is also known for having little small talk so this interaction was short, "Sniper Scout. Now 'OUTRIDER' is your callsign."

"Alright." Church confirmed.

"The Combat Bow is your new weapon, master it and make it yours. And the Hawk, a recon drone that allows you to get into tight spaces and be an actual eagle eye." Sarge said handing Church the case containing all his equipment.

Tucker was a little more excited than he should have been, smiling so happily, "Let me guess. Hero? Rogue? Assassin?"

"Spectre." Sarge simply stated.

"What?" His smile disappeared, replaced with visible confusion and anger, "I thought Church was the ghost of our team? That was his nickname."

"Tucker let me explain. You were the only one here who studied ninjistu, and other martial arts from Japan. You are a face in the crowd, You disappear and reapear out of nowhere. You get in and out clean, now we're adding deadly skills to the party." Sarge claimed easing Tucker down.

Tucker accepted the news, "Oh, well I guess when you put it like that it makes since."

"Now behold..." Sarge said unsheathing a kitana in front of Tucker's eyes, "This sword was given many names, just like you when you go undercover. So I figured you two might get along. It's last name was 'Key of Death' on account that the person who had forged it had made it to be used to unlock a person's death. Use it with this."

Tucker received a strange cylinder looking device that looked like something else to him, "What am I supposed to do with this?"

"It's a smoke. Never runs out, rechargeable, perfect for confused targets." Sarge finished and moved on to Caboose.

"Oh... thanks." Tucker realizing what the thing in his hand is.

Sarge knew how to talk to Caboose and explain his new gear, "Hello Caboose, how are you doing today?"

"Oh, I'm good... am I getting a new toy?" He asked.

Sarge, despite being taller than Caboose spoke to him like he was speaking to a child, or a puppy, or a puppy who got adopted by a child, "Yes you do Caboose. You get two because you have done such a good job. Lopez?"

Lopez came in front of Sarge carrying some type of gun on his right and some type of rectangle object on his left. Sarge took the gun first and introduced the giant brute to something new, fire.

"This little baby is called the Purifier, it's a specially designed new flamethrower that is gonna melt all your worries away. It's going to cleanse the bad people of this world in holy flames." Sarge finished, receiving concerned looks from everyone except Jerry.

Caboose held the new weapon in his hands to become familiar with it like Church taught him to with his previous weapons. The feel of the gun made him awe in wonder and fascination, the feeling you'd get with a first present on Christmas, "Wow, this is so... neat."

"Oh that's not it." Sarge said getting the curved box object from Lopez, "Meet the Reactor Core."

"Ooooh, what's that?" Caboose questioned.

"Long story short: a nuclear weapon." Sarge said so casually.

"YOU'RE GIVING CABOOSE A NUKE?!" All the boys yelled.

Sarge shrugged them off, "We have a suit for him to handle it."

"That's not the issue Sarge!" Grif argued, "Don't you think he'll melt us into a glowing pile of goo?!"

"Relax, there's a guage that says when he goes into the red zone. Also it takes a key to open, something I trust Church with." Sarge said handing Church the key to the device, "Simply open it, lift up the handle and let the radiation leak out over a controlled area. It only has a radius of 5 meters, so you have to use it wisely."

"I'm next sir." Simmons announced stepping forward.

"Yes you are Simmons." Sarge agreed, "In the past you've only caused slight distractions in the enemy systems. Now would you like to cause mayhem?"

"I'd like that very much sir." Simmons cheered.

Sarge then pulled out a tablet device from a case, "Meet your new best friend. The Ice Pick. Untraceable, easy to use. Infiltrate their systems and you now can shut their systems down." Sarge pulled out another grenade device, "And it's little buddy, the Ehmp distributor."

"Don't you mean EMP?" Sam asked.

"No I think it's pronounced ehmp." Simmons argued.

"No it's spelled E-M-P. Stands for electro magnetic pulse."

"Yeah ehmp." Grif chimed in.

"No it's not said like that." Samantha started to retort but was stopped when Sarge finally got to her.

"Now, Samantha Simpson?"

"Yes sir?"

"You have shown great leadership skills and have an above average intelligence. That is why I am giving you the TAK-5. This baby reads your team's vitals and boosts them to their max. We're going to rig a heart monitor to their chest so you can always check your team. When you see one of them in medical trouble, you'll be able to kickstart them with a careful concocted medical mixture of adrenaline, morphine and medicine that'll keep them in the fight or stabilize them." Sarge then handed her the tablet just in time as a medic with a rolling operating table entered the room, "He'll be hooking them up."

"WOOHP, medical staff Frank Dufranse at your service." The medic notified.

Sarge patted him on the back, "Hook em up doc." continuing his focus back to Sam, Sarge brought up the last piece of gear. A large duffle bag like object with a bulletproof covering, "The Assault Pack: use this if your team runs low on ammo. Remember half full is empty, always top off."

He then took a knee in front of everyone, "These are not just weapons, these are tools of change. The enemy has evolved it's time we do too, that means better equipment, different training, and a change in tactics. Stay safe out there, Sarge out."

Just like that, Sarge had stood up and began to leave the room, all who remained were the spies, the soldiers and the medical officer. Clearing his throat Dufranse spoke up, "Excuse me... if you would can you please remove your tops so that we may place the heart monitors on you."

[A few hours later and a drive back to the beach house]

Everyone laid exhausted and tired after dealing with so much today. First hearing their lives were in even more danger than they already were. Then, having to be issued new gear that they were still learning how to use on the job, because the simulation room wasn't exactly built to handle it. And the uncomfortable medical check up.

Grif slammed face first on the couch taking up three spots, forcing Tucker, Clover and Sam to hit the floor. Simmons went to the table and slammed his head on the cool surface of the tile table. Caboose outstretched on the floor and faceplanted onto the soft fuzzy rug. Church went to the fridge and placed a cold water on his to cool his head off after his brain felt burned out.

Everyone enjoyed having a calm moment out of the office, a short lived moment.

"Wait." Alex alerted everyone, "I didn't get my dog."

Everyone groaned for a moment as they had just gotten comfortable and were prepared to call it a day. Until Church stepped up, "I'll go with her."

Everyone gave an unenthusiastic cheer for their savior, thankful they can be lazy for a while.

"I'll drive." Alex offered.

Sam and Clover looked horrified, almost like reliving a horrible life threatening experience. They poked their heads up to see if Church would answer wisely or choose to give up his life at such a cost. The answer came, "Yeah, sure. Why not?" He has chosen death.

During the reckless ride, the tired and beaten down Church knew the ride wasn't the smoothest he had in a long time. He still was able to relax despite the speed and the possibility of an early grave because of Alex's driving. It only made him uncomfortable when the conversation started.

"So... what do you think I should get?" Alex quizzed.

Without missing a beat, Church answered quick, "A big dog that can at least jump up to a person's neck."

Nodding along to his awkward response Alex put on the radio to a some type of rock group making Church interested, "You like?"

"Yeah, kinda..."

"What you never heard rock before?" Alex joked.

"I've heard rock, it's just different from hearing it here somehow." Church attempted to describe.

"What do you mean?"

"It's like, the setting makes a difference. You've hiked before right?"

"On occasion, yeah."

"Well, it's kinda like hiking on the same mountain, seeing the same view, going the same trail. Now it's like a different place entirely."

Alex became fascinated by his story for a moment, just in time as they reached the animal center.

When the two entered they were greeted by a brunette woman with a warm smile behind the counter, "Hi, anything I can help you with today?"

"Yeah, we're looking to adopt a dog?" Church responded.

The woman smiled even brighter, "Oh, always happy seeing a couple adopt."

"Oh we're not a couple." Alex explained.

"More like coworkers." Church added.

"Oh, sorry you just seemed... nevermind, this way." The store worker, opened a door and let the couple into the dog enclosures. Seeing a variety of dogs sent Alex into a blissful state: big, small, cute, fluffy, scruffy, fuzzy, etc.

"Oh this one, no this one, oh but this one is so cute... oh I want them all." Alex joyfully jumped around.

Church had to weigh her back down to Earth, "Easy now, remember this is gonna be your companion for a whi~le..."

Alex kept searching but still found it hard to choose one that was perfect for her, given all the requirements they needed. So she turned to ask Church but stopped as she saw him pause in front of a female cane corso. Her fur was a slight greying black and brown belly, despite the look of her fur she was only a few years old. The thing that caught Alex's attention were the several small scars and bruises, with Church's stare on the fixed on the dog. He looked as though he felt those scars himself, sympathizing with the young dog as she backed into the corner growling at him.

"Church?" Alex checked on him.

"I'm alright... found your dog?" He reassured while diverting the focus.

Alex wasn't shifted at all, calling over the owner, "Excuse me, what's this one's story."

"Oh... her name is Juno. I don't recommend her. She came from an abusive owner from what we can tell from the scars. When we found her she was barely able to stand, she is doing better but her trust is limited to only me and a few select staff members. She might trust you but it'll take a while." The owner, veterinarian warned.

Church thought hard for a moment, his next move began, "Open the door."

"Sir, I strongly suggest choosing another-"

"Open it." Church repeated.

The lady not wanting to argue with Church opened the door, eliminating the barrier between a wild animal and the canine. Juno, growled as she stepped closer and closer outside the cage, teeth snapping, drool dripping, like she prepared for a fight to the death. Church didn't back up, didn't step forward to advance, not to the side, he simply began to kneel to the floor. He went so low his forehead was actually touching the cold linoleum. The two animal loving specialists were confused by his actions, his behavior was foreign and bizarre, they have never seen anyone tame an animal like this before. Juno was now above the backside of Church's neck, she had a chance to end him then and there, a quick flash could have terminated him. She had sniffed him instead, after inspecting his neck, back, arms, hands and such she backed up and copied his position, kneeling down for him. So Church glanced at the terrain of her desecrated backside, then laid his hand on the floor waiting for her next move. Juno stood up to look at Church, leaned in to sniff his hand with hesitation and then let him scratch under her neck.

Amazed the two women saw the man with no emotion gain the trust and respect of the most ferocious dog in the adoption center.

"We'll take all that we'll need for her." Alex said as Church stood up to look back at the owner.

[Minutes later]

Another large bag of dog food was loaded into the back of Alex's car for her new dog that would be staying with the boys. So far the list included a large dog bed, collar, leash, soap, specific medicine and some treats and chew toys. Church opened the passenger door and backed up to let Juno enter and ride shotgun while he took the back and let Alex drive again.

He went back to the owner to double check if he had everything as Alex was getting in, "Is that all or will we need something else?"

"No that should be everything you need, if you have anything to ask me feel free to call me." The lady, named Dr Emily Grey said handing Church her card.

"Thank you for your help." Church took the card as he was placing it in his front pocket.

"That's my... personal phone number..." Dr Emily Grey flirted with a wink.

A gesture that flew over Church's head, "Okay." Getting in the back Church was met with Juno staring at him along with Alex looking at him in a proud sort of way. Switching between the two people in the car he had no clue why they were staring at him, "What?"

"So... when are you going to ask her out?" Alex wondered.

Church cocked his neck to the side, "What do you mean?"

"Oh come on, I mean it was obvious she was flirting with you." Alex pointed out.

Church didn't even let that idea even enter his mind's airspace, "She is a very intelligent woman with several lovely aspects, but I have no interest in her in that way."

"Whatever, she's clearly into you." Alex brushed it off.

Leaving Church to his thoughts, whether or not he should consider dating. Dating was such an unknown concept to him as he never believed it ever be a crucial part of his life. Now that he is no longer with The Mother of Intervention could he actually enter into a more dangerous battlefield? Dating?

Okay first, I failed to address some comments, in the last one. To the person wondering about ships. I'll just say the ladies in totally spies had a certain type, if you are a fan you'll know their types.

Now to the people who were wondering about the firearms, I was hesitant at first but I don't regret it. And yes they are based off Call of Duty Modern Warfare Weapons, just like the gear they received is based off one of the worst COD games. Again, if you are a mega nerd like me you'll know.

And Yes, I gave Caboose a fkin' nuclear weapon. Why? Simple, I want to watch the world burn. Just kidding, character story arc.

Churchisalive signing off, for now.
