![]() Author has written 15 stories for Glee, Transformers/Beast Wars, Avengers, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Imagination is free and I'm on a shopping spree... Enjoy similar fandoms? Let me follow you! Find me at: eiseedoesit (dot) tumblr (dot) com I just love to write and imagine without restriction ;) I'm also a very busy girl, so updates might be few and far in between. But updates will come! :) Fandoms and pairings I love Glee: A complete surprise even for me. It's not usually my taste in fandoms, but the show was so cute and fun to watch so yeah...now I'm a fan. Dave/Kurt: One thing you'll notice with me is that I love pairings involving people from very, very different backgrounds and personalities. I also have a thing for Beauty and the Beast like tales :) And angst. Lots and lots of it! Sam/Kurt Puck/Quinn Sam/Mercedes Harry Potter: Probably one of my oldest fandoms. Read the books as they came out. Needless to say HP was a huge part of my childhood. Snape/Lily: You'll also notice that none of my OTPs in fandoms work out in canon :( But in way, that's what makes it interesting for me, it leads to a whole lot of "what could have been" scenerios. I love the Snape/Lily tandem because it's tragic and fulfilling at the same time. Snape had to make a lot of sacrifices and suffer for years...and for what? Not to earn Lily's love, but to honor her memory. He could never have her love in returned. But he loved her anyways, and literally spent most of his life loving her inspite of everything. Now that folks, is true love. Harry/Hermoine Neville/Luna Power Rangers: Guilty pleasure to say the least. I just love heroes that come in groups. Teamwork is always fun to watch and read about, especially when there's gigantic monsters to battle. Adam/Tanya: One of my earliest OTPs, but I was a kid at the time so I didn't really know about shipping and such, I didn't even know fanfiction existed! But yeah, looking back, I always knew there was something special between these two. Their friendship just seemed so much more natural and real than the forced one with Tommy and Kat. Just saying :) TJ/Cassie Phantom Ranger/Cassie Zhane/Karone(Astronema) Lord of the Rings: My obsession for several years. This fandom was the first to actually make me want to write fanfic. Ironically I have vowed to never write a fanfic in this fandom. Aragorn/Legolas: The first pairing that I was actually aware of shipping. I like forbidden romances with lots and lots of problems, and this seemed like a good pairing to ship hehehe ;) That, and the pairing was pretty much doomed by the simple fact that Aragorn would need an heir, and hey that's what fanfics are for! Avatar the Last Airbender: I'm a sucker for anything incorporating elemental powers. Zuko/Katara: Like I said, the more different they are the better. It makes for great conflict not to mention a high-wired story line. And I don't really like pairings that start off lovey-dovey. With Zuko and Katara their relationship started with him practically burning down her village. Yeah, conflict... Sokka/Toph: I love, love, love this pairing. These two play off each other's strength and weaknesses so well. Their friendship is genuine, and one does not over power the other. They compliment each other in their own sweet, hilarious way. Transformers/Beast Wars: I'm also a sucker for alien robots forever fighting each other. Megatron/Optimus: Once again, my OTPs in fandoms never ever work, but one can imagine right? :) I like this pairing cause both of them are strong, powerful leaders of opposing factions hell-bent on pretty much destroying the other. It's like Romeo and Juliet, except with gigantic killer robots...oh, and the two leads actually have to kill each other to win the war. There are so many ways their pairing can be told and interpretted, and it never gets stale for me. Megatron/Starscream Let's face it folks, Transformers is practically a mix and match feast! :D Chronicles of Narnia: I just get so much nostalgia whenever someone mentions this fandom. Pairings? What pairings? lol, Narnia is the pure one of my fandoms, the stuff of childhood happiness and it will not be corrupted hehehe :D A Song of Ice and Fire: One of the most sinful and addictive series I've ever read. I honestly think people stick with this series just to see if/how the villains die. And oh how I want those villains to die...:( Drogo/Dany: I love how their relationship developed from a callous arranged marriage to a genuine and powerful connection. Moon of My Life...My Sun and Stars...AYE!!! The sweetness is too much Sandor/Sansa Rheagar/Lyanna Gendry/Arya Favorite Real-Life Authors Roald Dahl: Cause his stories are sick and twisted Donald J. Sobol: Cause there's always time for a good mystery George R.R Martin: Cause for a fantasy writer, his stories feel so damn real J.K Rowling: Cause...wait, you don't know? *gasp* Charles Dickens: Cause he's Dickens. Enough said. Haven't read A Tale of Two Cities? Go. Read. Now. Then you shall know the power of Dickens *evil laugh* Emily Bronte: Cause she's so dramatic. I love it! Her dialogue is so intense. Not many can pull that off without going over the top. Thoughts on Fanfiction/Preferences A lot of people think fanfiction is a waste of time cause it doesn't change canon. And my response is...so? That's the beauty of fanfiction. It doesn't have to adhere to canon. That's why it's called fan fiction...it's fiction created by fans. So let your imagination run wild. That's how the best stories are made...usually. When it comes to reading, I really don't discriminate genres or themes, as long as the fic is well written. I do however, have a soft spot for fluffy family based fics. Strangely enough, I also love dark, violent, hurt/comfort type fics just as much. Slash, het, mpreg, AU, I'll read just about anything as long as it's well-written. So bring it on. I really enjoy fics that explore the emotion and psychology of characters, no matter how unpleasant the situation may be. Is it sick that I like it when terrible things happen to good characters? Maybe My Own Stories/Essays The Next Time I See You: The first fanfic I wrote and published on :) I wrote it cause I wanted to explore Dave's psychology a bit more. I also wanted to offer a new explaination as to why he acts the way he does. Sure, it doesn't match what happens in canon at all but hey...that's fanfiction for you. This story is finished. However, a follow up fic has already been planned out. All that's needed now is for me to actually go through with it. No promises though, just a maybe. Talking 'bout My Girl: Another Glee fic. This was conceived when watching Kurt's interactions with his father. I just wondered what would happen if Kurt got a kid he didn't expect either. The songs "My Girl" by the Temptations, "For the First Time" by the Script, and "Life After You" and "September" by Chris Daughtry were the primary inspirations for the plot. The story is already completely planned out to the very last chapter. But unfortunately I had a massive falling out of love with Glee :( I don't know when this will get done. Talking 'bout Love Stories: This is an essay I wrote discussing Kum, Klaine, and Kurtofsky. I took the three pairings and wrote about what I think people find appealing about them, and also why people might be turned off by them. Check it out. It got a pretty good response for an essay. Link is right below. http:///post/5458778793/talking-bout-love-stories-a-look-at-kum-klaine-and Casualties of War: My first Transformers fic, and its a slash and mpreg one...who would've guessed? lol. In fics where Megatron and Optimus have a kid, the sparkling is usually accepted into the Autobot faction. I wanted to write a fic where the kid is not only handicapped, but outright rejected by the Autobots. The Transformers universe kinda lends itself to the whole good is good and bad is bad mentality but I believe that there's a ton of grey areas to be explored. I'm pretty sure if Optimus had a kid with Megatron both Bots and Cons would be very, very pissed lol. And I wanted to explore the idea that Autobots would be willing to bend their moral code if they perceive a threat. I also love stories that symphatize with Megatron...not sure that actually got across in this particular fic though. Infinite Night: Prequel to Casuaties of War. I love the background story of the Transformers movie-verse and since I really enjoyed writing Casualties of War I decided...why not? I'll just go ahead and make a prequel to it. This story mainly deals with Orion (Optimus) and Megatron before they were enemies. I really find their love/hate relationship fascinating, and of course I had to write about it :) Kinda have a feeling the story will be biased in Megatron's favor, I am, after all, a Decepticon fan :) Although I tried to keep it movie-based there's a lot of influence from the Transformers:Prime continuity thrown in. Second to None: Oh boy, where do I begin? I explained most of why I wrote this on the author's note in the actual story. In a nutshell, a certain scene from Game of Thrones got to me and I reimagined how it would fit in the Transformers:Prime universe. I noticed that this is my second story where two characters are simply talking, much like in Casualties of War. Weird. Beautiful Things: I love Knockout. I love him even more when he's with Breakdown hehehe _. This was such a guilty pleasure to write. As I said, I have a thing for angst. Tons of it. And sap. I love sap! :D Suddenly: Inspired by the song "Suddenly" from Les Miserables. That song pretty much summarizes how I think Alpha Trion felt as he was raising Orion. This is definitely the lightest, fluffiest, and sweetest of all my Transformers fanfics. I'm surprised at how well it turned out, since fluff isn't my main staple, but I'm happy readers seemed to enjoyed it :) Units of Time and the continuities I referenced them from: Marvel Comics Breem= 8.3 minutes Vorn= 83 years IDW Publishing Klik=1.2 minutes Cycle= 1.25 hours Megacycle=93 hours Deca-cycle= 3 weeks Stellar cycle= 7.5 months Meta-cycle=13 months *NEWSFLASH* Talking 'bout My Girl. I had a really, really horrible falling out with Glee. The show has proven to be such a complete disappointment. I don't know when I'll get back into it, if ever, but as of now I can't force myself to write something I don't feel anything for anymore. I'm sorry. I tried. But every time I try to write kurtofsky I'm reminded how the show just kinda dropped the Kurt/Dave storyline into no-man's land. |
