29 Days Left Until Extermination...

It had been four days since the angel has been staying at the hotel. He hasn't shown any signs of waking up yet. He was sitting on the floor, while his hands were bound above his head tied up to a support beam. Anna watched while the angel slept taking over as the next to guard him. As she examined him, Anna couldn't believe by how much that he was identical to Lucifer.

She stood up and walked over to the table that was sitting in the corner of the room. It had a strange white pistol with golden designs carved into it. She picked it up admiring the weapon that was confiscated off of the angel. Suddenly, Anna heard a groan and turned her head to see the angel was beginning to stir. He was waking up!

Slowly, Michael opened his eyes as they adjusted, taking in his surroundings, to see where he was at. For some strange reason, his throat felt strange. It felt dry like a desert, as began to grow more conscious, coughing as he did. Then he noticed Anna in front of him with his gun being aimed right at him. Michael laughed, nervously.

"Well, I wasn't expecting to be waking up to this," he joked. He had a more calm and tranquil voice, less harsh than Lucifer's. Anna noticed that he had beautiful light blue eyes, the same color as hers.

"Who are you?" she asked. Michael was puzzled by how familiar this woman's voice was. It was the same as the one who was whispering a prayer he had heard earlier.

"My name is Michael," he told her. "What is yours?"

"Anna." she told him. Michael frowned in thought. That name sounded familiar, but why? He looked back at her.

"Can you put my gun down? I'm not going to hurt you or anyone."

"I'll be the judge of that," she replied, unsure if she should believe him. He didn't blame her that she didn't trust him. If he was in the same situation as her, he would probably feel the same. Anna continued as she explained. "We found you after you were falling from the sky. Can you explain what happened to you?"

The memory was fuzzy to Michael as he tried to remember as he tried to gather his thoughts. "I remember meeting with my brother, Gabriel.-"

"Gabriel?!" Anna interrupted, with a fearful look on her face. "That psychopath is your brother?"

"Yes," Michael nodded. "He said something about an army from a hotel led by my twin, Luci-" He paused for a second as he corrected himself. "My former brother, Lucifer. He said that he was planning to overthrow my father again. Gabriel had asked me to help him, but I refused. So, he attacked me."

"So, you are not going to hurt anyone?" Anna asked, still pointing his gun at him.

"No," Michael reassured her. Anna stared at him for a while, thinking, before she spoke.

"For some strange reason, I trust you," she told Michael as she lowered his gun.

"That's good to hear," Michael smiled in relief. "Do you mind, untying me? It's kind of uncomfortable being in this position."

"That's not up to me," Anna answered shaking her head. "I'll go and get the others and let them know that you are awake. They will decide on what to do with you." She placed his gun back down on the table and was about to leave when she stopped. "In the mean time, do you want something to eat or drink? You were out for almost four days."

"No, thank you." Michael replied. "Angel's don't get hungry or thirsty-" Suddenly, Michael was interrupted as his stomach let out a low growl. It almost made him jump. What in heaven's name was that?!

He looked up back at Anna to see that she had an amused look on her face.

"Are you sure about that?" she asked.

"What was that?" Michael questioned.

"I believe that was your stomach growling. You're hungry." Anna smiled as she explained. Then she raised a curious eyebrow. "Wait, don't tell me that you've never felt hunger before?" she asked.

"No," Michael shook his head. "In heaven, you never get hungry or thirsty or feel pain." Anna stared at the angel with a puzzled look on her face. The more she got to know Michael, the more he looked and acted like a child but he also seemed more alien as well, with so many questions. She almost laughed to herself wondering if Lucifer had the same experience that Michael had. She had to ask Lilith next time about that.

"I'll get you something to eat and drink." she replied and left the room, closing the door behind her.

After a while, Anna came back carrying a plate of sandwiches and a glass of water. Everyone else came into the room with her. Husk was now wearing a black and white suit, which he had borrowed from Alastor. Anna had explained to everyone what Michael had told her. They decided to see and hear for themselves if it was true. Michael's eyes widen in shock when he saw Charlie as she walked in, approaching him with a smile. So, this was his niece? She looked so much like his brother that he wanted to hug her.

"We agreed to release you," Charlie said. "But, you're not getting your weapon back until you've gained our trust."

"That's fair," Michael agreed. Vaggie untied the ropes, releasing Michael. He rubbed his wrists as Anna walked over to him, placing the plate of sandwiches and the glass of water in front of him. Michael stared at it unsure of what to do.

"Don't tell me you don't know how to eat?" Angel asked, laughing.

"No, this is new to me."

"Just put the sandwich to your mouth, chew, then swallow and allow the food to go down your throat hole," Charlie explained. "Water, just swallow."

Michael picked up a sandwich, with an unsure look but then decided to take a bite. This was a very weird experience for him. Once he chewed, an interesting sensation hit his tongue that the angel couldn't describe. It felt good. He swallowed the food and Michael felt it slid down his throat. He picked up the glass of water and taking a small sip. He felt relief as the cool water washed down his throat. Everyone watched like it was an interesting show for them. Alastor had an amused look on his face while Angel was chuckling a bit.

"That was good," Michael smiled.

"Now, that's out of the way," Charlie said. "I have one question, are you here to hurt us?"

"No," the angel answered, truthfully. "It is against my nature to harm a living creature, not unless they plan to threaten my father."

"If that's the case, will you help us with the hotel?" Anna asked.

"I need to know more, before I decide. What is it that you do here?" Michael asked. Charlie smiled.

"I'm glad you asked! My name is Charlie. The hotel is my idea. My plan is to get demons to redeem themselves and change their ways so that they can have a peaceful life in heaven. I want to save my people from extermination so they won't have to suffer!"

Michael listened, taking in the information as the princess finished explaining. He frowned, thinking to himself. Gabriel had lied about the whole thing! There was no army. These were people who wanted to try and change themselves! Blast his paranoia! But, with his wing damaged, he couldn't tell his father what was happening. He was stuck. But, at least he can warn these people of what was coming. He looked at Charlie.

"Your plan is a noble one. Your heart and your eyes tell me the truth," Michael replied, impressed. "I will help you."

"Really?! That's great!" Charlie exclaimed, happily.

"So how will you help us?" Vaggie asked.

"I will bestow a blessing." Michael replied.

"What's that?" Charlie asked.

"It is an angel's ability to give protection," the angel answered.

"Why would you do that?" Alastor questioned.

"Well, the truth is, my brother, Gabriel, has thought that you were raising an army." Michael explained. "He's planning to stop this and kill your father, Charlie."

"What?" the princess eyes widen in shock, as did everyone else.

"It is the truth," Michael told them.

"Thank you! Thank you for telling me. I will let my father know," Charlie said, smiling gratefully. "You don't know how much this means to me!" Michael smiled then looked at Anna. He couldn't be helped but be drawn into her eyes. The same color as his.

"There's something that's been on my mind that's been bothering me for a while now," he said. "Tell me if this sounds familiar to you, but I have to know."

"What is it?" she asked.

"A long time ago, there was a couple that was having a hard time having a child. When their wishes finally came true, they had a baby girl." Michael explained his story. Anna's eyes widen as she listened. It can't be. Her parents told her that same story when she was little.

"However, The father was killed in a tragic hunting accident while the mother was killed by a drunk driver, thus leaving their only daughter."

"How do you know this?" Anna asked, a little disturbed by the angel's story. "That's exactly what happened to my parents before they passed." Anna saw a spark of happiness in Michael's eyes before he laughed.

"So it is you," Michael smiled. "I can't believe it! It's you!"

"Um, excuse me? What the fuck is going on here? How do you know Anna?" Angel asked, defensively.

"Anna," Michael said, calmly. "I am your guardian angel."
