Hey everybody, new chapter just dropped! Hope you all enjoy, even if I am putting this up at night. I think you'll like this arc, at least a small part of you guys will.

Either way, I hope you all enjoy!

"So. You're possibly going to be involved with a prophecy where some kid might become a superpowered Hitler."

"More like Joseph Stalin, but similar concept, Sollux."

"And even if killing the kid would probably solve all our problems, it'd possibly result in a doomed timeline."

"Jesus Aradia, why do we even need to consider that possibility."

Karkat groaned as he had to keep explaining the latest mess that he'd be conscripted into. It'd been a mess to get it all together, but when he finally did, he figured that he'd tell his friends as soon as possible. Which was why he was explaining it in his room.

Honestly, the whole thing was a fiasco, but it had been somewhat worth it. During the times he and Frostbite could talk, the yeti ghost had taught him a little about working out his elemental power. Karkat was able to keep up a small flame, but nothing strong enough to use in an actual attack. He'd been playing with one on and off during the talk.

"You can't really blame me for thinking that. It sounds like just a convoluted way for a group of shadowy people to take over the world." Aradia just shrugged, watching as Karkat messed with the flame with careful precision. "They can't do worse than our current leaders, but still."

"It seems a little stupid to just pick one guy to solve all of their problems, though. Or are the Far Frozen foot soldiers?" Sollux hummed thoughtfully, scratching at his chin. "Maybe try and avoid becoming a patsy. I'm not going to serve the ghost illuminati if I can avoid it."

"I'm just assuming that they're going to call me if they need me. I'm honestly just planning on avoiding some of this shit until it gives me no choice." Karkat figured that, if worst comes to worst, he'd play along. "Let's try and have some fun before then. Though, quick question; are Feferi and Kanaya acting weird?"

"I think Kanaya is just a little awkward. Feferi, though, is definitely acting strange." Aradia frowned at this, wondering where the change even came from. "I don't think we did anything weird, so I don't get why. Not like she's being a jerk, either."

"I think Eridan may or may not like Kanaya either. I'm guessing something happened while we were out." Sollux didn't seem too concerned, even if that dealt with one of the few other "halfas" in existence. "Worst case scenario, we keep them apart and we won't have any personal drama for now."

The room went into a gloomy silence after that statement. Aradia eventually got sick of it, slapping her hands onto the desk.

"You know what? We haven't tried to have fun in a while. I know why, but I think we're getting too far into ourselves." Aradia pointed at Karkat. "Are our ghost friends going to need help anytime soon?"

"No, not really. Horuss is testing out some accessories that might let them walk around in the human world unimpeded. Which'll be nice." Karkat was hoping that would mean backup at short notice. Things were getting hectic lately. "Terezi's family is working on making sure security issues aren't a thing either."

"Good. Sollux!" Aradia pointed at him, narrowing her eyes. "What do we have to do for school?"

"Nothing much. Since we made sure to advance some homework our way, we're actually ahead just in case ghost attacks happen. Not to mention Lancer seemed weirdly proud." Sollux checked over their schedule. "And if we playthings right, all we'll have to worry about is studying for tests."

"Perfect! I'm suggesting a lazy day for fun and mayhem." Aradia sat back down, thinking over what they could do. "I think Crocker may have bought out the old waterpark out on Myrtle Street. She's opening that soon, right?"

"Dad's actually helping install an alarm system just in case ghosts show up there. Might mean we can get in there for a discount." Karkat frowned before shaking his head. "Actually, pay full price. That sounds shady as shit."

"Wimp. You can fight ghosts but can't ask for a discount from a friend of the family?"

"Shut the fuck up, Sollux."

Aradia laughed a little, already getting her phone out so they could get prepared. It looked like the place was having a discount anyway since it was still in its opening stages.

Now, the only thing to decide was what to wear to it…

Terezi and Latula were usually not fans of the upcoming chore they were being told to go with, but it was something they did need to do. Like cleaning the house or brushing your teeth, it was usually best to deal with it sooner rather than later.

It was the day they checked out the release times for certain prisoners.

"A lot of people coming out of their sentences today. Almost can't believe it." Terezi snorted. It was a good thing, since that meant they most likely reformed. No one truly dangerous truly got out into the world. "Any people leaving early?"

"Only a few. Looks like we can actually rearrange some cell placements. Really don't want to have any more fights between Glass Jar Jerry and Terror Tim." Latula popped some of her bubblegum, humming thoughtfully. "Really wish they'd come up with some better names for themselves. Seriously."

"Yeah, well, at least we know they aren't dangerous then. As much as I'd like to get my hands on Skulker." Terezi growled, causing some of the wiser criminals to back up a few steps. "Wish mom would let us at least interrogate him. He's got so much shit to answer for."

"I'm pretty sure that's the only reason you aren't allowed to talk to him." Latula laughed, opening the door to a cell. "You can go, Jim. Stay in the office down the hall and we'll clear you out with the rest."

Terezi took this as the time to keep her ears out, checking that everyone was in their cell block. Again, this wasn't filled with the worst offenders, but still good to keep track. Some of them were actually ghosts Karkat sent their way.

"I really need to check on Ms. Littlemeyer at some point. The Box Ghost should be helping her with that community kitchen, and I really hope they aren't just flirting again." Terezi muttered to herself, chewing at her pen. "Not to mention Nebit's dealing with the Far Frozen about sharing resources with us…"

"I'm really starting to wonder if hanging out with that vigilante is messing with you or not. It's kinda harshing my vibe." Latula snapped her fingers in front of her sister's face. "You ever figure out what he saw after dealing with those bandits?"

"Yeah, but I don't know what to make of it, honestly. I'm just sort of hoping that he's wrong about it." Terezi and the rest of the ghosts didn't need to deal with prophecies. "Honestly, I'm just glad the Far Frozen aren't the cult I thought it was. It's just a more benign one."

"…That's fucking weird, sis."

"Don't I fucking know it."

Terezi stopped, sniffing the air before frowning. Something felt off within the building and she wasn't exactly sure what. While they did have a variety of people working or staying here, she didn't recognize the smell of fish and resentment…

"…Somebody's broken in."

Latula didn't even bother questioning how her sister knew that or why, instantly pressing a few buttons on a side wall to put the facility on high alert. Redglare had started putting new defense up, but something told Terezi that wouldn't matter. The stuff for halfa's or humans hadn't been fully installed yet, anyway.

Terezi let dragon wings sprout out of her back as she launched forward, trying her best to smell out the invader before they got too far. She could sense them from a far-off hallway, and she could practically hear the telltale sign of a cell door opening and the transformation of a halfa.

She didn't actually get to find Dualscar, but the sound of an engine and a shadow following the revving motorcycle was easy to track. Before she could catch it, the vehicle sped past her, going through the facility at its highest mileage.

The draconic ghost swore, getting a phone in hand before making chase. Something told her that Phantom was going to have to make another visit soon enough.

"…There's fanfiction of you up on the web now."

"Oh for fucks sake."

The trio had finally gotten themselves ready for the waterpark and were able to snag a ride they're from Spades since he'd be working in the area. While everything had been quiet for now, Sollux had decided to check the internet.

"How have they made stuff that fast? I've seen shows that have to go through an entire season just to get some kind of fan response." Aradia looked at the phone with narrowed eyes before choking on a laugh. "A lot of them are ship fics. Looks like some people think you're hot."

"That is somehow not reassuring in the slightest." Karkat went over the fics, a good portion of them being Phantom x Reader stuff. "I get wanting to have your fantasies come to life and all, but it's weird when they're describing me of all people."

"Some of them are actually focused on other people within the town. I'm really curious to figure who wrote this, but also not." Sollux scrolled down some more before stopping to read one summary. "Hey, there's one where you're paired up with your secret identity."

"Oh, fuck no. The only way that would happen is with a very violent kismesis, and even then…" Karkat shivered. Truly, the shippers were the one with the most imagination on the internet. "If I was a crueler man, I'd ask you dox them."

"I'd probably commission more of it instead." Sollux dodged an elbow aimed his way with a smirk. "Come on, KK, you know I'm joking."

"I'm going to download every single one of those. This is a goddamn goldmine." Aradia laughed before sobering, a thought crossing her mind. "You know, that does bring up the question about stardom. You're probably going to be really well known if things keep going the way they do."

"I sincerely hope you're wrong there. I really don't want to start a Justice League or some other kind of Avengers Initiative." Karkat sighed before putting on a burst of speed. "Let's stop talking about that crap. Todays about relaxing, right? Let's relax."

The two just nodded along before following behind. The three were doing this as lowkey as they could, they didn't notice that they were being watched.

Thankfully, it was only Feferi and Kanaya, who were hanging back. Didn't make it any less creepy.

"I'm really starting to wonder if any of this was a good idea." Feferi felt a bit like a creep doing this, trying to stalk them. Even if it wasn't the plan initially. "I just wanted to test out some of the new rides, nothing involving this."

"Look, I'm not proud of this either, but this is a good opportunity to talk to them without anyone interfering." Kanaya was starting to wonder if this were going too far too, but when Feferi told her about this, she figured that it would help create a good situation where they could talk. "Just as long as nothing goes wrong today, we might learn something today."

"Fine. But you better have brought a swimsuit. I maybe rich, but I'm not paying for yours." Feferi didn't really bother sneaking around, moving towards the front desk. "I'll let you in for free, but that's it."

"Fair enough." Kanaya shrugged, having already grabbed something beforehand. You can never be too sure about this type of thing.

It wasn't like they'd notice them too soon, anyway.

Oberon wasn't fond of the fact that he had to run fast from what could've been an easy fight but considering he didn't want to be imprisoned by a literal dragon, he didn't feel like testing things. Besides, he had to make sure at least someone got out of there, and even if it wasn't Skulker or Darkleer, it was a good start.

Maybe freeing those two would provide some entertainment at the very least, if not some information gathering. Vantas had been making moves lately and he wasn't sure why, so maybe figuring out if he had another trick up his sleeve would work in a later fight. His spies had been providing nothing, so it was best to see if something slipped up on its own.

Oberon stepped through the homemade portal, turning back into his human form instantly. He made sure the bracelet accessory was on so the trackers wouldn't find him, sighing deeply. He'd probably have to fix up the runes on the portal before the day was out, noting that as he shut it down.

That or he could try and steal Spades blueprints. That was also an option. The man certainly owed him that much.

"If I didn't want this place tracked, I'd put in a light at least." Oberon figured his paranoia was too much, but he figured that he might as well try and protect his secret lab. Or was it a lair, considering Karkat was a 'hero.' "Maybe at least a throw rug."

Oberon had been able to convince Darkleer to build a lair at the earliest opportunity, mostly as a method of keeping it away from Eridan. It didn't have any doors or windows, and it was located a good distance below his house, but it wasn't like a 'halfa' (a term he detested).

It was a good thing to do, considering that there was a lot of evidence scattered everywhere. Couldn't have Eridan finding any of that. He'd learned the first time with Cronus.

Plans upon plans were carefully laid out, determining what ghosts he had at his disposal would be best for any given situation. Those files had been for getting money or gathering information on his condition once, but now they were all aimed at making sure Spades was eradicated, along with his son if necessary. There were also intelligence reports from some of the criminal ghosts he kept in contact with, especially on any foreign movements.

"That random human running around is an interesting character, but not much of a threat." Oberon muttered, frowning as her read it over. "Whatever he wants with those fools who rave about destiny, he can keep it."

Oberon jumped as a sound came from a speaker broadcasting everything going on within the house. He looked at the screens of the camera system had had built and frowned as Eridan walked into the house. Looks like he was home a bit early.

…Maybe he should talk to him. They hadn't been doing that much.

Oberon instinctively flew upward, going through the floor with his intangibility, making sure to stay invisible. Moving into the living room of the house, he made to walk towards the kitchen where he saw his son go.

"Hey kid," Oberon chose to ignore how his son jumped as he was rooting around in the fridge. "How's today been so far? Haven't really heard much from you about school."

"It's fine. Nothing much is going on there. Well, except talk about ghost drills, which is kinda weird." Eridan shrugged, non-committal about the whole thing. "Feferi's been acting weird since she started hanging out with Kanaya. Don't think that girl likes me much."

"Well, that's too bad. At least the school is trying to prepare all of you, I suppose." That was a good thing. Oberon would prefer to keep Eridan out of danger. Then again, he was a headstrong young man. "I'm sure she'll warm up to you eventually. You can't win them all, though."

"Yeah, yeah."

Hm. His son was sad about something. That wasn't good. That would probably bring some eyes on them, and they couldn't afford that right now. Not with everything going on.

"Is there something wrong? You can't hide anything from me, you know." Oberon smiled comfortingly, though it was with a twinge of amusement. Maybe he should hold back on the jokes there. "You haven't been yourself lately."

Eridan's face twisted before settling into a slightly annoyed look. He drank from the soda he'd grabbed from the fridge before talking again. "It's Karkat."

Ah, right, they were friends. Something he needed to correct at some point. Oberon was trying to find loopholes on killing the little bastard's father, and he wholly expected him to do the same when it came to telling his son about his plans.

"I don't know why, but ever since the forest trip he's been acting weird around me. He said he got that ghost wolf problem under control, but somethings up." Eridan drank some more soda, obviously dejected by this. "And his friends are even weirder about it. Which I don't get either."

…Oberon felt something work out in his brain and he made sure to catch it.

"It's most likely out of stress, son. Remember, he is trying to go out there and be a superhero. That has to work on his nerves somehow." Oberon was aware that it was. He was trying to make it bad enough for him to slip up. "He might be trying to distance you from that. It's a dangerous business."

"But I've fought before! I got to take down those biker ghosts with him." Eridan hit the table, denting it. Oberon winced, remembering it wasn't cheap. "If anything, I should be able to help him more than his human friends."

"It's a difficult decision. The only reason I don't interfere is because I'm not exactly well built for a fight." A half-truth. He could fight well, but he preferred having others do it for him. "Maybe you should talk to him about this. It could be he doesn't have any idea how powerful you truly are."

"…You know what? You got a point." Eridan stood up, heading towards the door with, determination in his step. "I'm going to find him and talk to him about it. Like a man."

"Son, where do you even know where to go?" Oberon raised an eyebrow. "You don't know where he is right now, do you?"

"I'll find a ghost fight. If one's happening, he's usually in the middle of it."

Oberon blinked, not finding fault in that logic as his son left. He just shrugged and stood up, deciding that heading back to the lab was a good idea. He needed to come up with his next plan anyway.

He couldn't help but chuckle, wondering how fast it would take for the two boys to get into an argument. If he wanted to make sure Eridan stayed out of the way, it would be pertinent to make the wedge between them grow. If he did it well enough, he might even get his boy on his side strongly enough to maybe even do in Spades for him.

Wouldn't that be a nice thing to do as a family?

Karkat had to admit; it was a good idea to come out to the water park. Even if it came with a few surprises.

Sometime after they'd changed, the trio had run into Feferi and Kanaya, with the former showing the latter around the place. It seemed coincidental, especially since they seemed to act weird about it for whatever reason, but the halfa honestly couldn't summon the energy to care. He figured the more the merrier, right?

It didn't take long to find out what rides were back again and what wasn't, especially with Feferi working as a guide. And while there was a good amount of people there, the lines weren't long. It was a nice day for a swim too.

It was when Karkat got to hang out with Feferi alone that things started to change.

"I think I see some of the sensors that your dad put around here. Kind of weird, honestly." Feferi was looking up at some of the sirens Spades had put up earlier with some wonder, only taking brief looks at Karkat. She seemed jumpy for some reason. "I'm surprised he put them up so fast."

"He's got a crew working for him right now that usually does security stuff. Plus, he's been starting to put them up around town on request." It had been bringing some money into their accounts, even if Spades didn't exactly charge anyone. The town had been sort of using leftover tax money to get them set up anyway, though. "He's getting some good practice with it, but hopefully he doesn't need to upgrade them soon."

"Yeah, I can't imagine it was easy. Must go through a lot of tests too." Feferi looked at him for a brief moment before asking something. "A lot of trial and error, right?"

"Dad has gone through plenty of fire extinguishers. Nothing that caused too much damage, though." Karkat lied easily, he figured. Though his accident was partially his own fault, so it was still true. "Maybe if he gets some interns or have some of his old friends from college come around he might be more careful. Especially with everything going on."

"He hasn't had people work in his lab with him before? That seems a lot more dangerous, honestly." Feferi kicked at a loose pebble, frowning slightly. "I would've thought he'd have some lab hands at the very least to make sure things are stable."

"He has fail safes on fail safes, actually. Kind of paranoid about it too." Karkat rubbed the back of his neck, laughing awkwardly. Why did she want to know so much about this? "I'm the only real assistant he has, and he doesn't really let me touch shit unless he knows it won't explode."

"…Hm."

The awkward silence that followed wasn't pleasant, and Karkat felt himself scrambling mentally to fix that. The halfa considered trying to get some information out of her that he could use against Dualscar, but he threw the thought away. He couldn't do that, just like he wasn't going to make Eridan turn on his dad if it came down to it.

He looked around before seeing one of the bigger slides in the distance.

"I know you practically do Olympic swimming training for fun and all, but do you actually go on water rides often? I haven't seen you suggest a single one." Karkat wasn't sure if this would bear fruit. But it broke the silence, at least. "A little scared of them?"

"What? No, of course not." Feferi denied it too quickly, taking her by surprise. "I just prefer stuff like the wave pool. Besides, my sister always liked that kinda stuff more."

"I'm sensing some denial here." Karkat latched onto it, the focus not on him anymore. "If you're not, then maybe you'd be okay with going on that slide over there."

Feferi looked over at where he was pointing, eyes bulging at the sight of the slide. "Oh, god no. You'll have to drag me there before having me do that."

Karkat looked her up and down, causing her to squirm. The only thing he did was smile before deciding on something.

With a quick swoop, he was able to move close, moving his hands behind her before picking her up in nearly a second. The sudden movement caused her to yelp, stiffening long enough to make sure he got a good hold on her before he started walking towards the slide.

"Let me carry instead. That's a lot more comfortable." Karkat said it in his normal tone, but he was fighting back a smile as Feferi slowly realized what happened. "Unless you want to be dragged?"

"Wha- How are you doing this?!" Feferi laughed, playfully hitting his shoulder with a fist, though also grabbing onto him so she wouldn't be dropped. "Karcrab, you said it yourself that I do Olympic swimming for fun. You can't be lifting me like this!"

"I'd disagree. I think I'm doing a fantastic fucking job." Karkat kept up the normal pace, smile clearly on his face now. "Maybe hoisting lab equipment around is making me stronger after all. Might have to thank dad later."

"I might have to too. You're actually pretty built." Feferi used a hand to squeeze some muscles, looking a little flustered. "And not in the body builder kind of way. It's kind of… nice?"

The silence that came from that wasn't as awkward, Feferi laughing occasionally as they talked a little. Karkat couldn't help but feel proud that he brought the mood up, especially with such an impulsive gesture.

It did start to backfire when he realized something, though. He didn't realize it immediately, but a part of his brain realized that not only was he holding someone close to him, but it was an attractive someone wearing a swimsuit, with skin touching and wow, hormones were starting to make this plan backfire weren't they?

"Um," Feferi squirmed, moving into a more comfortable position. "Not that this isn't nice, but I think some people are staring right now. Mom might also be looking through the cameras for all I know."

Oh shit, right. He really didn't want a pissed off Crocker on his ass. Karkat was about to put her down gently when he felt a familiar puff of smoke try to go through his lips, nearly causing him to seize up. Feferi was thankfully too busy to see, but she did sniff the air.

"Do you smell smoke?" She asked, looking around quickly. "Mom said the last owner noted a few bad rides, but she wouldn't-"

The siren that came from the ghost alarm cut her off, a jarring sound amongst that cut the revelry down. Karkat didn't waste any time before heading towards one of the bathrooms, Feferi still held close.

"I'm going to go look for our friends. Hide out here for now." Karkat put her down, looking around at the place. "This should be safe for now. I'll send them your way when I can."

"Wait-"

Karkat felt a bit quickly as he made sure to get out of her line of sight quickly, turning invisible and making his transformation quick. He did make a quick sweep of the place, grabbing his phone at the locker room quickly.

He was about to send a message to Sollux and Aradia before he noticed something from Terezi.

GC: PH4NTOM, TH3 B1K3R COUPL3 3SC4P3D FROM OUR C3LLS. DU4LSC4R SOM3HOW GOT 1N 4ND L3T TH3M 3SC4P3. W3'R3 TRY1NG TO M4K3 SUR3 H3 D1DN'T OP3N 4NY OTH3R C3LLS, BUT B3 C4R3FUL.

Karkat sighed, feeling the panic ebb away. Sending a quick message to Terezi confirming he saw it and his other friends to tell them where Feferi was, he was relieved it was only them. The only trouble was the shadow thing they had under their control.

As soon as the thought passed, he could hear the tell-tale sound of a motorcycle engine flying overhead. Karkat narrowed his eyes as he saw Johnny 13 flying around, Shadow floating around him. He couldn't help but note that Kitty wasn't around.

"Babe, come on! I keep on telling you that was a one-off thing, and I didn't even mean it!" Johnny was yelling, looking around with clear irritation on his face. "Besides, that happened a long time ago!"

"Having some relationship trouble, Johnny boy?" Karkat flew up, deciding to make his presence known. He would've preferred to have Eridan as back up, but he didn't want to lose a chance at nipping this in the bud. "I'll admit, that doesn't surprise me."

"Oh for fucks sake- the hell do you want, man?" Johnny turned to his direction, revving up the motorcycle as a threat. "I'm just driving here. I haven't done anything yet."

"Key word being yet. Besides, you haven't exactly served your sentence, either and I'm not willing to just let that slide." Karkat lit up a hand with ecto-energy. He was glad to see that the few people still out where still making sure to hide out. "This can go quietly, you know. We can find your girlfriend later."

"Hell no. I'm not going back regardless, but especially not without Kitty." Johnny revved up his engine again, growling. "So if you could kindly go fuck yourself?"

Karkat sighed. Just a normal day after all.

The halfa let Johnny run at him, dodging the motorcycle while sending blasts towards Shadow. The monster was able to dodge the shots easily, but they were a distraction so Karkat could send a chained sickle to wrap around it. With a tug, he sent it flying towards Johnny.

Shadow was able to disperse before hitting his master, Johnny flinching at the display. Karkat dashed forward, kicking the biker ghost in the stomach before blasting him. He dodged a slice from Shadow, locking a sickle against the construct.

Johnny sent a blast toward the halfa, causing the two to separate. He drove around them, sending more blasts that Karkat had to dodge. Shadow didn't let up either, doing his best to carve into Karkat as best he could.

The halfa growled, a hand lighting up with an admittedly pathetic flame before sending it out to Shadow in an arc. It got it to back off, letting Karkat wrap it up in chains again before he threw his entire weight into the creature, and letting that momentum head straight towards Johnny.

The bodies collided hard, sending them all into side of a slide. It broke under their weight, sending water everywhere, soaking them to the bone. Johnny coughed and Shadow struggled to get up, with Karkat shrugging it off a lot easier.

Karkat didn't waste any time, surging forward and slashing at Shadow, taking him out. He kicked Johnny in the side before he could get up, putting a foot on the guy's chest. The ghost froze as he raised a sickle at his face.

"Well, either I've gotten a lot better at this, or you got rusty in prison." Karkat waved at the ghosts face a bit before getting serious. "Now tell; why the hell did Dualscar decide to bail you out?"

"I don't know what fish-face wanted. He just saw me and Kitty and let us out." Johnny's eyes darted everywhere, trying to find a way out of this. "That guy looked a lot like your friend, actually. Any feelings on that?"

"Don't test me, 13. Did he say anything? Give me something here and you might not end up back in Redglare's domain with anymore bruises." Karkat leaned down, narrowing his eyes. "And maybe I'll ask Redglare not to keep you and Kitty in separate cells either. Depends on my mood."

"Actually, he did say one thing." Johnny leaned a hand slightly, a smirk forming. "Cause a little chaos."

A small amount of energy flitted in the guy's hand, sent somewhere to Karkat's right. It hit a part of another slide, which broke apart and started falling towards someone who was recording the fight.

"No!" Karkat jumped, flying forward to grab at the surprised civilian. He turned them both intangible before getting them away from the zone, the slide hitting the ground hard as they passed.

Karkat put the civilian down safely, looking to find Johnny gone, motorcycle and all. He cursed before looking down at the person he saved. He recognized her as Ardata, something that shouldn't have surprised him. She had a habit for this type of shit if it could possibly make her blog more popular.

"Maybe next time, run away from the ghost attack?" Karkat floated up, Ardata blinking dully at him due to the shock. "Trust me, coming back as a social media ghost sounds like a horrible way to go."

Karkat flew off before the girl could recover, turning invisible and intangible. His disappointment in winning the fight, but still losing the ghost was there, but he was sure Johnny would show up again. It wasn't like he was the smartest ghost he's fought, and it looked like he could fight him competently now.

Kitty being separated from him was trouble, though.

"Where the fuck is she?" Karkat slipped into an unattended bathroom, sighing deeply. "It would've been a harder fight, but damn it would've been nice to catch one of them. Guess I'll find them later."

Karkat turned visible, running a hand through his hair as he transformed. His feet settled on the floor as he stretched. Today couldn't get any more stressful, honestly.

"Karkat?"

The halfa froze mid-stretch, feeling the air in his chest leave immediately. He cricked his neck to look behind and caught Feferi's very surprised eyes.

"…Huh." Karkat tried to put on a smile, though it felt very crooked and fake on his face. "I guess you decided to move bathrooms, huh?"

Why did he constantly have to push his luck?

Yeah, Karkat is either cursed by 13 or he just has bad luck in general. Remember everyone, anyone that knows the episode, don't say anything. If you spoil yourselves looking it up, it's not my fault.

Either way, you all enjoy and have a nice day.
