The darkness pulled back from around the armored figure, as he stood in the void of space and looked over the slowly forming melted surface of the planet. In his many, many long years of immortal life, he had nearly forgotten what his home planet had been like. Yes, he wasn't a regular being by any means but in all seriousness, he was a Sith. The only Sith left, in fact. Even in the silent void of real space, the last Sith watched the magma rise then fall on the surface of the planet that would be known as Terra. He silently watched, feeling the void churn and swirl with the power of the Darkness. The immaterium was calm, like a smooth ocean on a warm day, but within its depths lay the deities that would bring ruin for millenia. Sleeping or forming as it was only the Eldar, Necrontyr and the Old Ones that were around, humanity hadn't formed as of yet.
The Darkness shifted, as though it was looking at something. He looked up and stepped back, the darkness folding itself around his form. Nothing could sense him or even feel him, just the darkness that was all consuming in the void. It was a frog like thing that floated by, clearly not really caring where it went or what it was doing. He sneered in disgust at the abhorrent thing as it went on its business, leaving him alone in the void once more. Stepping out into the silence once more, he looked at the forming planet before him before allowing the Darkness to open a pathway to his personal flagship, the Silencer. An old Super Star Destroyer from the time when Darth Sidious was ruling the Galaxy, the Silencer was refitted with the latest of technologies that the Sith after Sidious had created.
Of course, this was also his current base of operations until he found a suitable planet that would suit his needs. A Sith without a power base was nothing, every this had one and those that didn't were quickly dealt with. He shook his head as the Darkness removed itself from his person, stalking towards the laboratory section of the SSD. His armored boots made sharp thudding noises as he marched towards the laboratory, not even noticing the lack of oxygen in the air. The ship had been powered off, with only the lab and sub-labs operationational. Anything that wanted to explore his ship would find it hard to properly get to the labs without harming the ship that was thirty-five thousand eight hundred and sixty-four kilometers in length.
Of course, the ship had been refitted and retrofitted over and over again in the ages since its time in service. Now it wasn't white durasteel that covered the ship but a black armor that the late Eclipse class SSD that the Dark Empire used. Of course, its prow had the distinct shape of that scythe shaped head that all Eclipse's had. The powerful weapon that could cause the crust of any planet to crack and break up to reveal the mantle underneath, or destroy any capital ship in one shot. He entered the lab and looked at all the aliens he had saved for his new empire, one male and one female from each species that were close to human in appearance. Of course, in a few select tubes were the ones that would help form his empire. A red skinned Twi'lek covered in Sith tattoos, a blue skinned Chiss male, a Kaminoian cloner and a few others. He chuckled as he looked at the vitals of each one.
Of course, he would also be doing much more experimentation until the time had come to see the one called the "Emperor of Mankind". The Sith shook his head, smirking to himself as he stepped before the female Twi'lek. He could feel her powerful presence in the Force, a Darkness that would soon be able to match his own under the proper training. He laughed as he looked upon Darth Talon, formerly of the One Sith under Darth Krayt. Of course, he had picked her as she had no idea of what her talents would be used for in the future.
He pulled away from her tube, walking over to one of the active stations and looking over the plans he had written up. Many involving the implementation of new technology that combined the best of what humanity and aliens could create with the technology he had now. Others were the plans of the Empire; mostly design choices, ship designs and weapons. He pulled up a few other plans, ones involving the production of droids and others that fell under the "Super Soldier" program. One of the sensors started beeping, warning him of something approaching the Silencer. He looked over at the tactical readout and couldn't help but smile as he saw the Eldar vessel land in the massive side hangar bay.
"Soon, Emperor," Darth Imperious said, his voice harsh and cold, as his eyes glowed bright orange with power, "you will know that I am fear incarnate, death supreme, master of Darknessā¦"
Kellira stepped into the dark silence that was this ship's hangar bay, her suit softly glowing as she saw objects that looked familiar but weren't floating in the zero gravity. The ship was empty according to their sensors but that couldn't be relied upon as the picket ship wasn't equipped with upgraded sensors anyway. Its massiveness actually gave her chills as she had the pilot bring them into the hangar bay, it wasn't a design that the Eldar would ever use. Several warriors stepped out behind her as a technician held up a scanner, slowly moving his arm to pick up anything.
"I have nothing to find for life," He said, fiddling with a few dials on the device, "but I have found a power source. Its quite massive, it could easily rip a hole in the webway if this ship ever entered it."
"Duly noted, Caenshor," Kellira remarked, her hand tightening on her wraithbone weapon, "Can you lead us to where the power is?"
"Of course," He said, arrogance filling his tone as he marched on ahead.
They travelled through multiple corridors and spotted vacant rooms that either had no purpose or weren't in use. The lights from their suits barely were able to light up the corridor before them before they lost the technician a few hallways later. Kellira froze, something was in the darkness ahead before Caenshor's body landed before them with a heavy thud. A red glow filled the hallways coming off a meter long crimson blade connected to a hilt being held by a figure in armor. The figure stood there before starting to march towards them, his eyes glowing bright yellow-orange as the warriors raised their weapons to attack the approaching threat.
They barely had time to get off a few shots before the figure was upon them, red blade swinging that reflected the energy bolts right back at them. Two bolts ended the life of one of the warriors before Kellira started to panic.
"Run," She nearly shouted into the comlink, "retreat back to the ship, now!"
Her senses were on fire, telling her to run as fast as she could. To escape, hide away where the Darkness couldn't reach her. The warriors quickly followed, their speed aiding in their retreat. Or it would seem to be for naught, the figure appeared almost around every corridor. His blade either cuts an Eldar down or wounds him or her in a single swing. The group grew smaller and smaller, until there was only Kellira and one warrior left. The figure was behind them as they saw him stalk towards them, hand outstretched as though going to tell them to stop. The air warped around his fingers before red lightning roared forth and slammed into the warrior, his screams filling the communicator as Kellira was left alone with this force of death.
"Interesting," The figure grinned, "you will be a welcomed experiment for my future plans."
The figures hand closed, the sound of metal being crushed was easily audible as the picket vessel was crushed by some force that wasn't the power that the Eldar had. No, this was something far more dangerous and she could feel it closing in around her as the darkness filled her vision and she knew no more.
