"Well, that marks the end of the exam. There were quite a few impressive students this year. What do you all think?" Principle Nedzu glanced at his employees from his seat in front of the monitor system. Yagi nodded absentmindedly in agreement. His eyes had flicked from student to student, never staying on a single kid for long. He hadn't meant to be so distracted during the test, but he was curious if any of these students would be the one. Yagi thought back to that tiny green bubble. Would any of these students be the one to inherit One for All? The older man was snapped out of his thoughts when he felt someone tap his leg. The man looked down at Nedzu, who looked up at him with a smile. "You've been very distracted lately. Care to share the reason with me?"

Yagi rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "Oh, I apologize, Principle Nedzu. I am a little distracted today." He gestured to the screens as they flickered on different students. He noted the outgoing friendliness of a boy with red hair and shark teeth, the spunky optimism of a girl with pink hair and skin, and the observant nature of the tired boy with purple hair. Any one of them would make fine candidates for One for All. But Yagi had given up making the choice personally. He was relying on the quirk of a thoughtful young man to choose the perfect wielder. Honestly, the boy was another great candidate for the quirk, based on their many texts. If his quirk wasn't already so dangerous, Yagi would've gladly offered his quirk to the young lad. "I am just admiring some of the potential students. There were a few that have the enthusiasm and skills for heroics."

Nedzu chuckled and gestured towards the group of teachers discussing the points and examinees. "Well, then. You should definitely be paying attention to our discussion." The lanky pro-hero sheepishly nodded and tuned back into the conversation. The screen was centered on the tired boy who rescued the girl trapped in the debris.

Ectoplasm was already giving his two cents on the matter when Yagi tuned back into the conversation. "-ssive as he's racked up quite a bit of rescue points. And he wasn't reckless since he recruited the other student to help."

Nedzu raised his paw, causing the other teachers to look at him. "Now, now. Shinsou Hitoshi's quirk is 'brainwashing.' While we can still give Iida Tenya some points for assisting in the rescue, we must consider that he did not do so willingly. I believe 5 rescue points will be enough for him, don't you agree?" For a moment, Yagi wondered how Nedzu knew what the other heroes were talking about. With a smile, he realized Nedzu had probably been listening to both conversations.

The other teachers nodded at Nedzu's words. Aizawa glanced up at the paused screen, noting the boy struggling to carry the girl. "It should be noted that while Shinsou did well in the test due to the rescue points, his physical abilities still need some work. He started tiring between fighting the robots and helping the other examinees and then struggled to carry the girl. In addition, when he was running from the Zero-Pointer, a better solution would've been having the other student carry her as he already knew the kid had a speed quirk. Carrying her himself while he was already struggling was illogical."

Nedzu nodded his head in agreement while Power Loader interrupted him. "Don't you think you're being a little harsh, Aizawa? The kid's young, and he'll improve his endurance and strength in the hero course. Besides," he added with a soft noise of confusion, "I thought you'd be happy to see a student with a non-physical quirk do so well."

The underground pro looked at him stoically. "Don't get me wrong. The kid has potential, but I'm just being logical. The kid could've spent more time training to prepare for the test, though. With a response-based quirk like that, he'll need to train hard so he can fight when his opponent counters his quirk." The group of heroes nodded again.

Nedzu smiled and clapped his hands together. "An astute argument. In that case, I propose we award Shinsou 30 points for his clever rescue of his peer. That would bring his score to 25 villain points and 46 rescue points, for a total of 71 points. Aizawa, I'm sure you'll want him in your class?"

Midnight jumped up, waving her hand wildly in the air. "I'd like to give the girl 10 rescue points for helping the strapping young men with the debris." Snipe groaned at her in exasperation for her word choice. "Although Shinsou and Iida were helping her, she helped them as well by using her quirk on the slab of concrete, allowing them to lift it off of her. Pushing beyond your limits to help others is very 'Plus Ultra!'" Everyone nodded again. Nedzu marked it down on the students' files, then changed the screen to another examinee.

Yagi slouched into his chair with a sigh as the discussion began anew. When Nedzu told him how they had to go over the footage from the test to accurately judge the rescue and villain points, he knew it would get boring fast. His mind started wandering when he felt his phone vibrate. Sneaking a look at the other heroes, Yagi silently pulled his phone out and checked the screen.

Young Midoriya: Hello, Mr. Yagi! How are you doing?

The pro-hero looked back up at the others, noting that they were too wrapped up in their discussion to notice him. He returned to his phone with a smile.

Yagi: Hello, my boy! I am fine. The entrance exam has just ended, and the staff and I are currently looking over the examinees' scores.

He looked up as Midnight grabbed Present Mic around the arm and started shaking him. Yagi had no idea what was going on, and he didn't think he wanted to.

Yagi: We're probably going to be here for a while.

Young Midoriya: Honestly, I've always wondered how long it takes you all to go over the scores due to the large number of students that apply to UA every year.

Young Midoriya: If you feel up to it, you're welcome to come over once you all are done for the day! ?

Yagi grinned. He had meant to visit the kid after their first meeting. Yagi had been unable to visit between preparing for UA and fighting crime, but this would be a perfect time. Midoriya had told him how he had just recently renovated his backyard porch, and Yagi had to admit that he'd been interested in seeing the kid's garden. It had come up several times in their texts and he was hoping it was a pretty as he imagined. Yagi smiled softly, already imaging a relaxing evening sitting with the lad and just chatting about their days.

Yagi: That sounds wonderful, my boy! I'll let you know when I'm on my way over. Please send me the address.

With a chuckle, the older man tucked his phone back into his pocket. He looked up to see Midnight's face barely an inch away from his own. "Gyah!" Yagi jumped in his chair, tilting it so far that the chair tipped, and he went crashing to the ground.

Midnight giggled as she helped him up. "Sorry! I just thought you looked so cute smiling at your phone like that. Who were you texting that your phone was more important than the meeting? A special somebody?"

Yagi immediately shook his head. "Nothing like that! I met a young man a month ago, and we became friends."

Present Mic grinned, pressing his hands against his chest. "Aww, that's so cute! Is the little listener your student? Did he take the exam? Was he texting to let you know how he did?"

Yagi sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck. "Actually, he owns a shop."

"He owns a shop?" Aizawa raised a brow in concern. "Is he even old enough?"

"He has some kinda special permit or something that allows him to own the shop. It's one of those shops that's also a home." Yagi was surprised his coworkers were so interested in his friend. The sickly man felt a little bad for accidentally bringing so much attention to Midoriya and his shop. He hadn't meant to cause such a distraction. With an awkward laugh, Yagi tried to steer the conversation back to the students. "I apologize for distracting you all, so let's get back to-."

"If he's running a shop by himself, then he must've graduated from middle school. That is very admirable in a young person." Power Loader interrupted him. The support course teacher looked at Yagi curiously. "What does he sell?"

"Yes! Yes!" Midnight leaned forward, cupping her mouth with her hand as though telling a secret. Her volume betrayed her pose. "A young man with his own shop? I bet he sells all sorts of naughty things."

"Midnight, please! That is very inappropriate!" Yagi gave her a scandalized look. "Young Midoriya is only fourteen! Please don't talk about my friend that way!"

That made all of the heroes pause. Vlad King stared at the table in thought. "A fourteen-year-old, running a shop? That's a lot younger than I thought he'd be. Where are his parents?"

Yagi winced. "We don't really… speak of it." The others frowned, though Midnight and Mic looked at him sadly. "He's let slip a couple of times that he's lived alone for a long time and that he used to live with his mom before something happened." The sickly man sighed sadly. "I know it hurts him to talk about her, so I don't say anything when he changes the topic or avoids talking about her."

Present Mic nodded sadly. "I'm sorry to hear that. What's his shop's name? Maybe we can all visit from time to time to check on him and give him some business." Yagi blinked in surprise at the other man's offer. "I know people sometimes flock to places that heroes shop at. Maybe a few of us can stop by sometime and give him a little extra boost in sales?"

That made Yagi wince. Was it okay to tell them about Midoriya's wish shop? He glanced over at Nedzu. His boss may be a pro-hero, but Nedzu probably would fall in the category of 'use Midoriya's quirk for his own gain.' Now that he thought about it, how did Midoriya make money? "W-well, actually, his shop is a little unconventional in its wares." The boy's quirk had the potential to put him in a lot of danger. Maybe it would be a good idea to have a few more heroes aware of it? "He has a wishing quirk and uses it to sell wishes."

Midnight grinned widely at him, propping her hands on her waist. "Well, I'm glad to hear that his shop does well. I guess we don't have to go by then." Yagi blinked in surprise. What? What was she talking about?

To his astonishment, the other heroes nodded along. Present Mic smiled apologetically at him. "Don't worry! We won't ask about your friend anymore. Running an online store to keep his privacy is really smart! Good on the little listener!" Okay. Yagi wanted to put his head in his hands. What was going on here? It's like they heard something completely different during their conversation. That was when his eyes alighted on Aizawa. The man was looking at the others with wide eyes. Although he didn't voice his concern, he watched as Midnight and Present Mic went back to talking about the examinees as though nothing had happened. Suddenly, he remembered something Midoriya had said when they first met. Villains and criminals forgot ever hearing about him when he was brought up. So did people whose wishes were granted. Did that also include people who didn't have any wishes to grant? Aizawa's eyes narrowed at Yagi, and the man gulped nervously. His coworker must have a wish if he was the only one who seemed to recall what Yagi actually said. When Aizawa went back to listening to the conversation at the table, the sickly man decided not to worry about it for the moment and tuned back into the conversation as well.

Hours later, the meeting finally ended, with the promise of returning the next day to go over the remaining students' scores. Yagi waved goodbye at everyone and headed out of the room. He felt eyes staring at his back but sighed in relief when his path out of the school went unhindered. The pro-hero smiled and pulled his phone out of his pocket. His phone flashed brightly, now that it was almost sunset, with the time 6:15 pm. It was getting pretty late, but he figured Midoriya would probably still be okay with him visiting.

Yagi: Hello, Young Midoriya! I just got out of the meeting. Are you still okay with me visiting?

The sickly man slipped his phone back in his pocket and continued his walk. He passed by a couple of stores and cafes, stopping into a bakery and buying a cake to bring over. As he stepped out with his purchase, his phone vibrated, and Yagi pulled it out with a grin.

Young Midoriya: Hi, Mr. Yagi! Of course, you are welcome to come over! I need to warn you, I have some surprise company visiting. Please don't let that stop you from visiting. I've been looking forward to it all day. I even made dinner!

Yagi laughed as he sent off a quick reply that, yes, he would still be coming over. He was happy to see that Midoriya had some friends over. The boy needed all the company he could get. With a happy sigh, Yagi quickly hopped onto a subway and took the train the rest of the way to the shop. It wasn't long before Yagi arrived at the address marked on his phone's map. He stopped outside of a simple wooden shop. He could see lights on inside, gently illuminating the flowers that Midoriya had on his storefront. Yagi happily walked up the pathway and knocked on the door. He chuckled when he heard rapid footsteps and the sound of an exclamation before the wooden door opened.

"Mr. Yagi! Please come in!" Midoriya smiled at him brightly as he stepped outside and ushered the taller man in.

The pro-hero smiled as he returned the greeting, then held out the bag containing the cake. "I stopped by a bakery on the way here. I know you said you like strawberry shortcake, so I brought you some."

Midoriya's hair bounced as the kid tilted his head in surprise. "You didn't have to do that at all. Thank you, though! Why don't you head towards the living room, and I'll serve up dinner." He pointed down his left hallway. "It's the first room on the right."

Yagi nodded, heading towards the room that Midoriya directed him to. He admired the cozy little store/house as he walked through it. He didn't pause in front of the shoji door leading to the living room, opening it and stepping inside. Yagi froze. There, sitting at the dining room table, was the girl and boy from the entrance exam.
