Her dress felt a bit too tight. Which was odd because it fit so beautifully the day before. Now it was like a vice covering her entire body. AND WHEN DID LACE GET SO DAMN ITCHY?! Was it always this itchy? Because it didn't feel this itchy during any of the fittings!

Judy felt her heartbeat pick up and her breath became a desperate gasp for air. She turned from the mirror where she and her mother and sisters were admiring her image, trying to pull it into her lungs. The does gave surprised cries of protest when she stumbled away, tearing off her veil and fleeing to the door. Her mother just barely caught her request for fresh air and stopped her sisters from following. A sad, but knowing smile spread across her muzzle.

Judy stumbled down the hall in near tears towards the exit of the church.

"Carrots?"

The familiar voice was probably the only one she would ever listen to. Judy stumbled to a halt and turned her swollen red eyes to him. His own seemed a bit swollen and red tinged as well. As though he had been crying. But now they were flooded with concern. With no hesitation, he came towards her with outstretched paws.

"Carrots, what's wrong?" Judy met him half way and was finally able to take a breath. Her tears and anxiety vanished.

"I love you, Nick." The words had his jaw dropping. "I can't marry him. I love you way too much to ever be with anyone else. With you, I feel more like myself. With you, I feel safer and happier. With you…" Her paws curled into the suit he wore, his own moving to her back, stroking her in a soothing manner. "I can breathe."

Nick's smile could have lit up Zootopia. His muzzle dipped to hers, whispering his love and devotion to her in between their passionate kisses. Bonnie watched the scene unfold from a distance and smiled. It was going to be one hell of a clean up, but she could tell that this was what was best for her daughter. Judy had never loved the buck waiting for her at the altar. She was never going to be able to love him the way she loved Nick.

Because with Nick, Judy was walking on air.
