"That's right, Jack, very good." Nick watched the young bunny play. His paws gilded over the piano keys as his teacher nodded along. "You're making very good progress."
"Do you think I'll be able to perform at your next open house?"
The todd smiled, nodding down at his pupil.
"I think I can arrange that." The music came to a close and the bunny smiled up at him. "Why don't we call it a day? Take these for practice and pick out what you'd like to play." Jack accepted the music books and began to stand only to be stopped by his teacher. Nick crouched down to meet him on his level.
"Tonight, when you're practicing," he gently tapped Jack's chest with a claw, right over where his heart was, "close your eyes and find the music with this." His blue eyes filled with confusion, But Nick smiled kindly. "You know the music, you know it well. But you don't trust yourself playing. You know the music. And it deserves to be played with all your heart, Jack."
Jack looked down at the sheets in his paws, a feeling of uncertainty spreading through him.
"You can do this, Jack."
He looked up and nodded at his music teacher. "I'm going to be the greatest musician ever."
Nick grinned back.
"I believe you."
