"There's no way, Carrots," Nick insisted.

"Yes there is," came her response, her voice sweet in a singsong way.

"You're adorable," he teased back, taking a piece of the bread she had brought him and slathering it with butter. He took a bite and groaned in delight. "I don't like vegetables and there's nothing you can make with them that I'll enjoy."

She smiled, keeping her smugness at a minimum. "You like that bread, huh?"

He took another bite and nodded. "Sooooo good!"

"I'm glad you like it! It's made with zucchini."

Nick's eyes grew wide and he examined the piece in his paw.

"Zucchini?"

"Yu-p!" This time she let the smug hit him full force. "See? You do like veggies!"
