Jack stood on a chair, carefully picking eggshells out of the pan, before adding turkey bacon, veggies, and cheese. The scent of slightly burned toast hit his nose and he scrambled to rescue it from the toaster. On the stove, the pan began to smoke.
"Oh no!" he muttered frantically, juggling the bread to the plate and rushing back on to the chair for the now burnt eggs. They were slid onto the plate as well, before it was set on a tray with a glass of orange juice and coffee.
It wasn't pretty and the colors were less than appealing, but it didn't look terrible. Jack smiled and picked it up, turning to carry it into the bedroom.
"What's all this?"
The bunny yelped and dropped everything at his girlfriend's feet. His blue eyes were filled with guilt and sadness, though Skye's were filled briefly with surprise. Followed by humor and love. Jack looked up at her and gave his most charming smile. He reached into his pajama pants pocket and pulled out a present.
"Happy birthday, gorgeous!" She laughed and they both looked back down at the mess. "Sorry about the first part of your present."
She suddenly snatched him up and cuddled him happily.
"You're all the present I need, handsome!"
