Bonnie sighed as she looked at the costume in her paws. For four years, her daughter had worn that increasingly tattered thing and she still wouldn't give it up. Every Halloween was the same. And every idea or suggestion she had given Judy was ignored.

All Judy wanted in life was to be a police officer. To make the world a better place. To move to Zootopia and help mammals of all shapes, sizes, and species. And there was no easy way to say no to those big purple eyes and sweet smile.

So, for the fourth year in a row, Bonnie shook out her daughter's costume and altered it to fit.

She remembered all those Halloweens when Judy stood on stage accepting her badge and Precinct One assignment. And her uniform fit far better than that old costume ever did.
