Emma and Regina rush out of their apartment. It was raining and Emma couldn't stop thinking about her upcoming meeting. She keeps rehearsing her speech under her breath while Regina follows her around with an umbrella to ensure she doesn't get her documents wet.

"One day accessing one's genetic make-up will be as easy as running a credit check.

That knowledge gives us the power to alter our destiny." Emma rehears out loud while showing that lopsided smile that Regina loves.

From her part Regina can only feel admiration for her lover. "Alter destiny? You believe that?" while waiting to cross the street.

"Yeah, of course I do. I'm telling you, in the next fifty years..."

"People are still going to die" Regina replies loving how this works Emma up.

"It'll still rain right after you wash your car, and the stones will still be touring." She says while continuing her ranting as they cross the street. "You know that stuff's out of your control. The only things you can control are your own choices".

"Okay. Well, that would be the other point of view. But I don't have time to debate destiny.

I'm just practicing my speech." Emma finishes while a guy walks into Regina.

"Excuse me."

Emma turns around to check on Regina and after confirming she is ok she adds "In case we don't talk later, dinner tonight. Tantra, seven o'clock"

Regina is speechless but not for the rigth reasons. "Tonight, seven o'clock? You're kidding, right?"

"Kidding? Not that I'm aware of." The blonde doesn't understand the sudden change on Regina's behaviour and tone of voice.

"My concert." Replies a disappointed Regina. She has work very hard on preparing for this moment and having the love of her life forget about it so easily hurts her more than she is willing to admit. "The one I've been preparing for.. for three years. Ring a bell?"

"Yeah. Your graduation concert. I didn't forget that. That's..." But Regina doesn't let her finish her thoughts "Tonight. Seven o'clock."

Emma can see the hurt written all over Regina's face. She did it again. She only seems capable of hurting the amazing creature and no matter how much she tries to avoid it she just do it! "I'm an ass." Second face-palm of the day and it's not even noon.

"I'm so sorry, Regina. I can't believe I did that." The blonde tries desperately to apologize.

Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath Regina tries to push her feelings aside and concentrate on what's in front of them. Emma's big presentation. "Good luck. In your meeting. Not that you need it. You'll be great." She says before kissing Emma on the lips.

Emma apologies one more time before turning around to leave. As she is crossing the street a bike passes and the rider tries to get rid off a coffee cup by throwing it to the nearest trash can, but instead, it catches Regina's coat. "You've got to be kidding me." An angry Regina yells.

At this Emma rushes back to Regina. "Oh no, the stupid jerk." Emma yells after the rider.

After checking her outfit one more time Regina reminds Emma about her meeting. "You know, don't be late. I'll take care of this. See you tonight at the concert."

"Concert? What concert?" a very serious Emma replies, which gets her a glare from Regina. Guessing that it was too soon for jokes Emma adds "I was kidding. Kidding you see, because

it turns out I forgot the thing and..."

Sardonically Regina replies "Oh, this must be that blondie sense of humor I keep hearing about."

"Okay. I'll see you tonight." Emma replies while trying to not look like an idiot.

One last kiss and they both parted ways.

On her way to the meeting Emma keeps rehearsing her speech, while walking fast around the Toronto streets. She is so occupied in her own mind that doesn't pay attention to the post light in front of her and she ends up bumping into it and cracking her watch. "Fuck!"

She finally gets to the office and her assistant Ruby, asked about her watch. "What happened?"

Emma replies "I cracked it this morning."

Ruby notices that the clock is stock eleven o'clock.

"Well, the hands must have moved." Was Emma's reply. "At least it'll be right twice a day" she adds. Before running to the conference room, she remembers the conversation with Regina this morning and asks Ruby to push her reservation to nine. She also remembers that gift the morning and decides to also ask help to get Regina a present which gets her a glare from her assistant, who adds "For Regina's graduation concert."

An incredulous Emma ask, "How did you remember that?"

Rolling her eyes Ruby replies "I'm not sure, could be because she told me. She sent you an invitation which is on your desk, we programmed the date into your calendar, which by the way it's sync with you phone…"

Emma cuts Ruby off "Okay, got it, got it. I'm an ass. Thanks. Anyway, I promised her a surprise". Emma thinks about what could it be before an idea occurs to her "So, how about a sweater? Something cashmere?... Black! Black's her favorite color"

"She's already got one." Ruby replies with another eye roll. "A black cashmere sweater. She was wearing it last time she was here. She went on and on about how much she loved it."

"Really? Where was I?"

"Right next to her." Were Ruby final words before leaving a confused Emma.

After getting changed Regina decided to take a break and continue with her song writing. She was confused, mad, disappointed at Emma. She loves her and she knows Emma loves her back. She really knows that, but it's difficult not to feel sad, hurt when Emma not even take a few minutes to actually spend time with her. Only her. No work, not commitments, especially not meetings and promotions. Regina continue signing..

"You have no idea...

What I feel inside"

But get frustration doesn't help her bring her muse out. Suddenly, she looks at the couch in front of her. There, is Emma's black folder holding all the documents she has prepare for her presentation. Without wasting anytime, Regina calls her best friend Kat and ask her to meet her at her apartment.

When Kat is waiting outside Regina grabs the folder and rushes out of the door. Her only thought… get to Emma on time. She tries calling Emma again.

After apologizing to Kat for the last-minute request she jumps on the car. "Sorry to make you pick me up all the way over here."

After a third failed attempt to connect with Emma she only mutters "Shit! Voicemail" and decides to leave a message anyways "I just found your black folder. The one with all the notes in it.

I'm on the way to the office right now."

"Go, go!" she rushes Kat.

Emma takes a deep breath and closes the room's door before starting her presentation.

"Ladies, gentlemen, today we are given an opportunity to help mankind."

Kat parks in front of the building, and both friends rush out of the car. They enter the building, jump on the elevator and after not finding Ruby on her desk Regina decides to take matters on her own hands.

She stops in front of the conference room and can see Emma through the large glass doors. She catches the attention of a gentleman "Excuse me, sir."

"Yes?" he asks while turning around to face the flushed brunette.

"Could you please take this folder into the conference room for me?" she asks

"My... Miss Swan is expecting it."

"I'm sorry, miss, but that's against the company policy." The gentleman adds

A shocked Regina tries to persuade the man "But she could lose her job."

"That's tragic. But alas, not my problem." He replies with a smile on his face.

"God, even for such a nasty guy he still sounds polite." Kat adds trying to ease the worry out of her friend.

Emma is still working through her presentation when Regina sees her checking her briefcase to supposedly find her notes, which she is currently holding in her hands. In a desperate attempt she decides to interrupt the meeting "Excuse me for interrupting, Miss Swan. This is for you, I just thought that you might need…

"the exact same folder you already have." She realizes as Emma turns around with an identical folder in her hands.

Emma is looking at her with wide eyes, not understanding what is happening.

An embarrassed and apologetical Regina adds "Okay, well...false alarm. I'm Terribly sorry… I just thought… I just wanted to make sure you…" After getting a glare from Emma she quickly correct herself "SHE had everything she needed. Because she worked so hard on it" She chuckles before continuing "I mean, really dedicated... and she deserves for this to all go perfectly. Not like this. This is… ah it's my fault. Me."

The room is silent after her little speech, but she is still nervous so her only reaction was to keep babbling. Because if you know Regina, you know she gets nervous in front of people, like wrecking nervous. "So anyway, really nice to meet all of you."

Before leaving she turns to Emma one more time and adds "You were right, they really are

a serious-looking bunch." To which Emma can only open her eyes wider and gets a red tint on her cheeks. Regina, realizing her mistake tries to fix it "In a good way."

"So, in conclusion... Emma's good. Give her the money. See you later." And she runs out of the room, literally. In her way out she can hear Emma trying to get the attention back to the topic.

"So, move on, shall we?" states Emma while positioning again in front of her audience.

Unfortunately for Regina in her rush she forgot her purse, so she interrupts again "I forgot my purse." She says to Emma while stopping beside her to pick her purse from the floor. Emma can only stare blankly at the people in front of her.

Outside the room Regina still can't believe what she did and explains to Kat her situation while the friendly blonde laughs. "She already had the folder. Take this folder. I never want to see it again."

Kat adds "I think that went well."

"Did it?" Regina replies, Yeah, the glaring, the awkwardness. The cold stare from Emma. That's all Regina could think of. She knew she talked too much, but she cannot change the past. So, she decides that she needed to keep up with her day and takes off for work with Kat "Come on, let's go to work."
