Emma walks around the hospital. She still doesn't understand. Her brain and most importantly her heart stopped functioning. She repeats the last couple of minutes in her mind. Not sure if it's a way for her to find a loophole and realized this is just a bad dream or if her own brain is trying to torture her.

Her eyes. Regina's chocolate eyes always full of life, joy, so many emotions always dancing together in those eyes that could tell you everything. Every little secret. Deep chocolate with a tint of gold, very subtle unless you are paying close attention. She always gets lost when looking at her eyes.

Her lips. Soft, inviting. Most of the time wearing a deep red color that contrasted so well with her mischievous smirk. She could die kissing those lips. She still remembers their first kiss and how those lips trembled when they barely touched at the end of their first date. She knew she was in trouble after that first kiss.

Now, thinking about those mayor traits that Emma loves so much about Regina… breaks her.

Those lips would never part again with a sigh after a night of passion; and those eyes she loves so much are now closed forever.

She collapses on the floor not too far from the emergency room where Regina was. Kat is suddenly there, but she barely registers it. Kat holds her, trying to comfort her. Emma is so broken.

"I wanted to be with her..." she said in a murmur. "I really did". They missed her.
One live gone, one heart broken, one friend lost.

Two hours later, Emma comes back to their apartment. It feels empty. She collapses on their bed. Still the sweet aroma of Regina is there. Between bed sheets and pillows. A story that can be tell through all photographs that decorate the apartment. Emma holds her violin. That piece of her that always brought Regina so much joy. She was proud of her, and Emma regrets that she did not show it that often.

Inside the violin's case is Regina's notebook. A notebook Emma never dared to open because it felt too personal. Still, she takes a pick…

"Got a part-time job teaching music to kids. There is a really cool art teacher there named Kat. Insane in all the best ways. Met a great girl as well, her name is Emma. I never thought I could get smitten by a woman, but here I'm. Those green sparkling eyes, killer smile, and on top of that a great kisser. Let's see what happens…." Read one of the entries.

She kept reading…

"I've been working on this song about me and Emma. I want to give it to her before I go away, but I'm afraid it will scare her, so I bought her a jacket instead. They say there is always someone in a relationship who loves more. Oh God I wish it wasn't me"

Emma cries again, realizing that would be the last entry in that notebook. And the song… the song is there and it's so beautiful. She wishes she could have had the chance to listening coming from those lips she loves kissing so much.

After crying so much that night, she falls sleep holding the notebook for dear life trying to still feel connected to Regina.
