Batman woke up to find himself chain to a wall in a cell. He looked around the cell is looked dirty and old as if no one had been in here for years. Batman also notice that his belt was gone, so the chance of him escaping is now lower without his tools.
Batman heard footsteps approaching his cell, he did not hear many of them, so he knew the Queen was not with them. Coming in front of his cell stood three guard one of them Batman recognize it was Artemis she had a smile on her face.
"Well, look who is finally awake" Artemis says. Batman just looked at her not want to talk to the woman
"Nothing to say man-thing, well that is alright the Queen will get you to talk" Artemis says as she orders the other two guards to unchain him from the wall. They bond his hands by rope and began walking to the throne room to meet the Queen.
The throne room was huge, it had beautiful decorations, amazing paintings, columns that run along the side of the place. In the middle of all this was a golden throne that sat the Queen herself in all of her royal attire. The Queen looked at Batman with and angry glare.
"The Batman as you requested my Queen" Artemis says as the guards throw the man on the floor in front of the Queen.
"Thank you, Artemis," The Queen says to the warrior women then looks back at Batman "Look who finale return to the dead, that is if you were really dead" Batman just looked at her.
"But the real question being why would my daughters ex-husband sneak onto my island and try to breakout a very dangers prisoner" The Queen says "Have you been working with Circe this whole time in some kind of crazy plan to kill me or my daughter"
"I would never hurt Diana" Batman yells at her "Diana and Martha are the most important things to me"
"If they are so important than why did you abandoned them for five" The Queen says as she gets up and starts walking towards batman.
"That was none of my fault, I was transported here by Circe, and I came here to get her to send me back to my timeline so I can be there for Diana" Batman tells her.
"And how do you know that is what Diana wants, did you ever think that because you left it has help her as a person to grow "the queen tells him "Did you ever think that because of you absent Diana realized she does not need to rely on a man"
"You are right Diana does not need a man to rely on, but I love her, and I wanted to be there for her as long as I can" Batman told the queen, he cared a lot about Diana and the Queen could see that, but she was still unsure of this man.
"If you really do care about her than I will help you get back to you time" The Queen says getting batman hopes up "But first you must prove that you are worthy of my daughter" she says dashing batman hope a little
"What do I have to do to prove myself" Batman asks
"A competition if you win them, I will help you and I will no longer interfere with you relationship with my Diana." The Queen says "However you fail than you must leave this island and stay away from my daughter for the rest of your life, so do we have a deal"
"Deal" Batman says.
Watchtower
Diana was walking on the watchtower she was hoping to talk to Bruce and tell him that she broke it off with Steve. She went to Bruce room but was surprised to have found it empty. Where could he been he should be here recovering.
She continues to search the tower hoping to find him as she was walking down the hallway, she heard someone call her name.
"Diana" the voice called Diana turned around to see her sister running up to her
"Donna what is it I do not have time to talk" Diana says as she continues look for Bruce praying that she will find him soon
"Did you just break off your engagement with Steve" Donna told her try to keep up the pace with Diana.
"Yes, I did" Diana says
"Why, I though things between you to were going great" Donna says "Why did you just break it off out of the blue"
"I am sorry, but I cannot tell you" Diana says stopping to look at her sister
"Diana, I am your sister you are supposed to be able to tell me anything. We don't kept secrets" Donna says
"It's Bruce, he never died that day but instead was sent into the future" Diana says "Now that he is back it is bringing back a lot of feelings"
"Oh, Diana why did you not tell me about this" Donna says hugging her sister
"I wanted to but if we are able to send Bruce back to the right time it would have not matter because things would have chanced and not of this may happen" Diana tell her
"Where is Bruce now" Donna asked her
"I do not know I have been searching for him, but I cannot find him" Diana says as her and Donna enter the commissary. She looked at the place and there was no sign of him, but she did see Superman if anyone knew where Batman was it would be him.
She walked up to the man of steel with question that needed answers. Superman was too busy not to see that Diana had walked up to him until she tapped him on the shoulder.
"Diana, Donna what can I do for the both of you" he said with a smile
"We are looking for Bruce, have you seen him" Diana says as she sees the smile on her face fade after asking the question.
"He is on Themyscira" Superman says as he sees the shock on both of their faces.
