Five Years Later
A lot has happened in Madripoor since the snap five years ago. The people now have shelter, food and water even in Lowtown. The kids no longer go to bed hungry or cold, they have full stomachs and have fun during the day. The whole island is in really great condition since Peter has become the Power Broker. He even takes in people who don't have a home due to the snap.
Now of course, he still had to keep up the facade of all powerful ruler of the island. So if someone stepped out of line, he'd take care of them to make sure the people knew not to mess with him.
He still has people try to over through him and take his power though, which has never worked out for anyone.
He only has a few trusted advisers that he asks for help. Most of which are only a couple years younger than him.
One of which, is the girl named Karli that he had saved form Ross. She has quite a strong voice when it comes to enforcing something, but Peter doesn't let her see all the shady shit he does, he has people like Shelby for that.
By day, people leave their homes and try to live normal lives. They go out to the store, they hang out, eat at restaurants and overall they just try to make good of the shitty situation they all have found themselves in.
But at night, that's when Madripoor really wakes up. Parties rock both low and Hightown when the sun goes down. Peter actually really enjoys these parties.
Sometimes he'll even go to a few a night when he is on the island and just enjoy the scene. No one but his trusted advisors know what he looks like so he fits right in while at parties.
No one in his family knows about this, and Peter liked to keep it that way. He doesn't need anyone of them near this shit that he's found himself in, especially Mary Jane. He doesn't want to scare her with what he's doing, doesn't want to scare any of his family.
They'd probably think that he was doing something bad, like becoming some low level villain or something but he'd never betray his family.
He just wanted to help the people of this island, nothing more nothing less.
And if Peter had to do some shady shit do do that, so be it.
It's not like it was illegal here anyways, it was usually a free for all around here at night.
The one rule that he has made clear is that during both day and night, no one will steal from a persons home. Especially since children reside on the island, he doesn't need petty people breaking into a home with people who are just tying to live their life.
He's had to deal with a few select people who thought they were exempt from that rule.
Anyway, a lot has happened outside of Madripoor too. Back home in New York Peter and the only remaining vigilantes finally had put back all those supervillains who had escaped when the snap happened. They caught the final one about six months after the snap.
It had taken them longer than they thought it would but they eventually did it. There was one point were his sisters and Nat actually offered to help them, but he denied. This was vigilante business so they would handle it.
Mary Jane has been in a lot of lead rolls in certain plays around America. She's also the most famous supermodel there is in the world too. Every single time she tried out for a part, she always got the lead.
It made Peter so proud of her and he always finds time to go to her shows to bring her flowers. She has also been in a few movies since the snap.
A lot of companies have offered her parts in movies but she has only accepted a few of them. One of the many reasons she has denied some of them was because of the certain scenes she would have to film.
Yeah, that was a hard no from her, especially since she was in a stable relationship with Peter, she didn't feel right acting in a movie and kissing someone else on the lips.
It felt wrong and like she was betraying him, so she passed up on all those opportunities.
Natasha, Ana, Gwen and Peter have taken control of the Avengers and it has been going great. Every other week, they switch off to deal with missions or meetings with the others. Peter usually goes with his mother and Ana with Gwen when the time comes but on a few occasions, he has gone with either sister to have some bonding time with them.
The mission that stands out the most to him is definitely Romania.
Ahh yes, Romania...
Him and Gwen still haven't said a word yet to anyone about that place because holy shit, all of their family would kill them with the amount of times both of them almost died that day.
And Peter didn't feel like being gutted alive by his mother or girlfriend.
Another thing that has happened is that the relationship between Peter and Gwen has gotten a lot better. There is no tension between the two, no ill feelings towards the other, nothing. Their relationship hasn't been this strong since they were children.
Tony and Pepper's daughter, Morgan is also a mini genius in the making. She just turned four years old four months ago back in January but is already learning a little bit of complex math. The Starks visit Peter's cabin every other week and bring Morgan with them.
She's pretty fond of Peter and even calls him her bigger brother which never fails to amuse the rest of the family.
Another major event that has happened was Sharon and Steve got married. It wasn't anything big, just a small gathering of their family to watch them be wed and after they all went to Peter's cabin and had a little party.
The two of them actually wanted Peter to officiate them so, he got his license online to marry someone right before the wedding.
Steven Grant Rogers and Sharon Carter-Rogers
Overall, everything has been going pretty well for Peter and his family.
Right now though, he's actually in Madripoor in one of his Hightown apartments where he stores really expensive art work, the real ones, not fake. He was sitting down on his couch when he decided to call his family up.
It was his and Natasha's week to do missions but he convinced her to take a break for the week, due to her recently overworking herself from trying to find Clint.
They haven't had any luck on that either.
That was actually the only reason why he was in Madripoor at the moment, because he convinced her to stay home with the rest of the family. He told them that he had a mission that would take a few days so they didn't have to worry about him.
He decided that he'd be going back tonight so he'd be back at the compound by tomorrow morning. He pulled out his phone and pressed on his girlfriend's contact number to FaceTime her.
It rang for a few seconds before the face of his two year old daughter greeted him.
Yes, that is right, his daughter...
About two years ago, Mary Jane sat him down and had told him that she was pregnant. She had showed him the tests and had let him sit there for a few seconds to think.
The two of them had been trying for months at that point so they knew it would happen eventually but neither of them though it would happen that soon.
Peter literally stood up and picked her up by the waist and spun her around as she giggled in joy. After that, they had told their family it and they were all really overjoyed to have a baby running around the cabin soon.
Flashback
There were very few times that Mary Jane was terrified in her life.
This, was one of those few times...
Standing in front of her bathroom mirror with two positive pregnancy tests...
"Holy shit..." She muttered to herself, looking down at the test. She couldn't believe it, she was pregnant, with the baby of Peter Parker.
Now she's been off of the pill for a few months already since their little talk about starting their own family, but every time they try it never worked out.
She was starting to lose hope a bit but then she started to get really sick in the mornings and her breasts were killing her.
This morning finally got too much for the young women so she went to the nearest store to pick up a couple test, just to make sure.
Guess her intuition was right...
At the moment, she was at their home with the only other person around being Ana since Gwen and Natasha were on a mission and Peter was in the city helping his friends.
She needed someone to tell at the moment, she could barely contain the excitement that was growing inside of her so she made her way out of their bedroom to try and find Ana.
It didn't take that long since she was in the living room with Sonia curled next to the woman with her head on her lap. Ana looked up when she heard her enter and smiled warmly at her, "Hey Mary Jane, what's up?" She asked.
Mary Jane bit her lip before she showed Ana the pregnancy test that she was hiding behind her back. When Ana saw that here were two lines on the stick, her eyes widened and she bolted up from the couch with a squeal of excitement.
"Oh my god, Mary Jane!!! Congrats!!!" She exclaimed as she brought the other girl in for a hug, spinning them both around which caused Mary Jane to laugh at her antics.
"Thank you, i-I don't know what to think. We've been trying for a few months now but...wow, I'm gonna be a mother." She said in disbelief.
"And I'm gonna be an aunt." Ana pulled away from their hug to smile at Mary Jane.
Mary Jane huffed, "Yeah, we'll now i guess we...wait until Peter gets home to tell him." She said. Ana must have heard the small amount of worry in her voice because she laid her hand on her shoulder.
"Hey, he's gonna be so happy ok? He's been wanting this just as much as you have, I promise."
After that, the two of them spent the rest of the day resting in the living room and planning about which room would be the baby room.
They didn't care if it was too early or not.
After they got done with their excitement filled conversation, it was around dinner so the two of them decided to cook something small to eat.
It looked like he was gonna be a little late tonight.
Mary Jane was just about to fall asleep actually when she heard their door open. She turned around to turn the lamp on and saw that Peter was taking his coat off and placing it on his desk over in the corner.
"Hey Em, sorry I'm late, Matt and I took longer than we wanted to." He said coming over to sit on the side of the bed. Mary Jane moved up so she was resting her back against the headboard but still facing him.
"Did you eat?" She instantly questioned him, knowing just how forgetful he could be when he was working on vigilante business.
"Yes actually, Matt showed me to this amazing Chinese place over in Hell's Kitchen. I'll have to take you there sometime." He smiled at her, placing a kiss on her forehead before moving over to their dresser to get changed.
She hummed at the attention while watching him get up and move to get clothes. When he got done changing and getting ready for bed he moved over to his side of the bed and crawled in with her.
Show time...
"Hey Tiger? I have something to tell you." She said, looking at him in his eyes.
His attentions was quickly moved to her, all traces of tiredness gone in a flash, "What, is something wrong? Are you hurt? Who do I need to kill?" He asked.
Mary Jane laughed, "Nothing quite like that Pete, some good news, I promise." She said, which seemed to settle his worry.
"Alright, what is it?" He asked with a tilted head.
God, even after all these years he still looked like a cute, adorable, lovable fucking puppy...
Which is ironic with how he isn't anywhere close to a cute, adorable, lovable puppy when he goes out to protect people.
She's glad that she has the chance to see the real Peter...
"You know how we've been trying for some time now to have a kid?" She asked, getting a nod in return, "Well...what would you say if I told you that you were gonna be a father in nine months?" She said with a small smile.
Peter froze for a second and his eyes widened in shock. A father? He was gonna be a dad?
"Y-you're sure?" He stuttered, but Mary Jane could here the hidden hopefulness in his voice causing her insides to melt.
"I'm pretty sure," she said, reaching into her side table to pull out both of the tests and handing them to him.
He held them in his hands for a couple seconds just staring at them before she looked back into her eyes, "First off, this is the best present that you've ever given me which you pissed on," he said which caused her to burst out into loud fits of giggles as she snuggled up close to him, "Second, holy shit! I'm gonna be a dad!"
"Yes you are Tiger." She said with her head still buried in his shoulder.
"Holy shit, Tash is gonna freak the fuck out. You think she'll cry when we tell her?"
"Oh most definitely." She said which caused both of them to laugh.
"I love you Peter." Mary Jane sighed lovingly
"I love you too Em...Everything you are..." he started off which caused butterflies to flutter in her stomach.
Every time she hears those words come out of his mouth since he started doing this little saying of their's, she can't stop the emotions from getting to her. She honestly doesn't know how she's gotten so lucky in life to meet the man of her dreams who she's about to have a kid with.
She smiled back at him with wet eyes, "Is Anything I ever Need." And with that said, she surged forward to capture his lips with hers.
They didn't get to sleep until late that night, but it was all worth it to see Natasha and Gwen's face when they got up for the day and the two women saw the pregnancy tests sitting out on the counter.
Natasha did in fact, start to shed some tears.
End Of FlashBack
It was a long nine months of mood swings, weird cravings and comforting his crying girlfriend but they made it through it.
And In exchange they got to meet their daughter.
Mayday Parker...
"Hey princess, are you being good for your mother?" He asked with a warm smile.
"Yes! Yes! We miss you dada." She screamed into the phone and she placed a kiss on the screen. He could hear background laughter which only caused him to smile more.
"Yeah? Well lucky you then, cause I'm leaving in a few hours, which means I'll be at the compound by morning. So I'll be home for dinner tomorrow." He said. Mayday squealed and clapped her hands together in happiness.
"Yay!! Dada's coming home!!" He could hear the laughter of Mary Jane before she took the phone form their daughter and she popped into frame.
"Yes, I heard baby. Let me talk to daddy, ok? Hey Tiger, how'd the mission go?" She asked.
"Oh you know, pretty normal. Had to track the guy down and stop him from doing anything too bad. Right now I'm in a hotel room for a couple hours until I go back to the jet and fly home." Peter responded. She nodded her head before she passed the phone over to his mother.
"Hey маленький паук, what time do you think you'll be back tomorrow?"
Peter shrugged his shoulders, "Don't know, I have a meeting with the others tomorrow when I get back, then I'm gonna meet Steve there. I probably won't be back till around five or six, why?"
"I just wanted to know when my son was coming back, is that too much to ask?" She said innocently, but Peter wasn't fooled.
"I'm twenty three years old." Peter deadpanned.
"So?" She shrugged her shoulders with a slight smirk. Peter rolled his eyes but before he could say anything else, the phone was passed over to his sisters.
Ana and Gwen were laying down on the couch next to each other, cuddled up from what he could tell. Gwen smiled at him, "Hey Pete, everything good?" She asked.
"Yup, hundred percent a ok." Peter nodded his head.
"Yeah? How hurt are you?" Ana asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I actually have no injuries, thank you very much Ana. I can see how much faith you have in me." Peter rolled his eyes.
"It's not that I don't have faith in you, it's that I don't trust you to not jump in front of a darn bullet." She exclaimed.
"Did you just say darn?" Peter smirked.
"Your daughter is in the room, I'm trying not to swear in front of her." She glared at him. Peter was about to say something else when a giant fur ball blocked the camera and barked.
"Hello Sonia, it's good to see you too." Peter chucked at his dogs antics. He could hear Ana grumble something about husky's being attention whores or something.
Peter then looked down at his watch and realized that he had to talk to Karli before he left so he had to cut this call short, "Ok, I've gotta get going if I wanna make it back in time for tomorrow's meeting with a decent amount of rest. Can you please pass the phone back to my girlfriend?" He asked. A couple seconds later, the face of Mary Jane was on the screen.
"Alright, I gotta get going Em, I love you and I'll see you tomorrow, ok?"
"Ok, bye Tiger, love you too." She said. With that, Peter got off the call and got up from the couch to stretch.
"IVAN, call Karli." He said. Peter had put an AI in his main building while he was here in Madripoor to basically look after the island while he was gone. Anything that happened while he was gone would be recorded by IVAN and sent to him immediately.
IVAN stood for Immediately Vacate All Now. He made it incase another invasion happened. IVAN was programmed to alert all first responders to evacuate the surrounding areas depending on where Peter activated him.
Now he's kind of just the giant babysitter of the island.
"Certainly sir, she is on her way up now." He responded. Peter moved over to his alcohol to poor a glass of vodka while he waited for her. A couple minutes later, he heard the door open and Karli walked in and smiled at him. He nodded at her and gestured for her to sit down on the couch.
"Hey kid."
"Power Broker."
He took a sip of his vodka while she sat down. "So, I'm gonna be leaving for a little while and won't be able to come back. I expect you to watch out for the island for me. I've already informed Shelby that anything major she and her men have to deal with, but if it's something small like a fight, your responsible, understand?" He raised his eyebrow at the girl, she nodded her head.
"I won't let you down."
"Make sure you don't." Peter said, taking the last sip of his drink before moving towards the door and opened it, "Come on, out you go." He said.
She got up and walked out but before Peter left, he whispered so softly he knew only IVAN would be able to hear it, "Lock down all my places IVAN, no one in."
"Yes sir." He responded just as quietly. He shut the door behind him and heard the click of the door before walking over to Karli, leading her to the stairs.
"Stay out of trouble kid, you know what's right or wrong." He said, and without another word, he went up the stairs and she went down them.
Peter walked through the door to get out onto the roof where his jet was docked and camouflaged. He made his way on board to start it up. He made his way to the cockpit and sat down in the pilot seat. He started the jet up and pulled off of the landing strip and sped off towards New York.
When he was all set with everything, he switched the jet to autopilot before he moved back towards a more comfortable seat to relax. When he sat down, he looked down at his watch and realized it was roughly 8 o'clock back home.
It was gonna be a long night for him...
——————
Peter got back to the compound at nine o'clock in the morning. He's been on the jet for over 12 hours and he could really use a shower. He sent a quick text to the family chat, letting them know that he made it back ok, before heading over to his room to go take a shower.
When he got out fifteen minutes later, he walked out in his dark red shorts and black muscle shirt towards the conference room to get ready. He made a stop at the kitchen first to make a quick sandwich before heading over to a conference room. He still had a little less than an hour before the meeting started though so he decided to just read a book while waiting.
An hour later, he got the alert saying that everyone was ready so he started the meeting.
God, he hated these meetings even if they were with cool people.
A half an hour later they were still briefing each other on what has happened. That was when Peter started to make his second sandwich.
"Yeah, we boarded that highly suspect warship Danvers pinged." Rocket said.
The rest of the Avengers were projected in holographic form from left to right. The order first starts from the left with Nebula and Rocket, then Okoye, Danvers with her new haircut, and then Rhodey on the end at the right side.
"It was an infectious garbage scowl."
"So, thanks for the hot tip." Rocket said while he turned to Danvers and glared.
"Well, you were closer." She replied
"Yeah. And now we smell like garbage."
Peter ignored the bickering for a second and turned to Okoye, "You get a reading on those tremors?"
"It was a mild subduction under the African plate." Okoye replied.
"Do we have a visual? How are we handling it?" Peter asked crossing his arms over his chest. He knew he was sounding a bit paranoid right now but he couldn't help it, he wanted to know everything that was happening even if it was small.
He never wanted another Thanos...
"Peter, it's an earthquake under the ocean. We handle it by not handling it." She said with a raised eyebrow.
Peter then nodded once before tuning I look at Danvers, "Carol, are you coming back next month?"
"Not likely."
"What, you gonna get another haircut?" Rocket said while rolling his eyes at the woman.
Carol turned to look at the raccoon with an irritated look across her face, "Listen fur-face, I'm covering a lot of territory. The things that are happening on Earth, are happening everywhere, on thousands of planets."
"All right, all right, that's a good point. That's a good point." Rocket mumbled under his breath.
"So you might not see me for a long time." Carol said looking back at the young man.
"Alright. Uh, well. This channel is always active. So, if anything goes sideways... anyone's making trouble where they shouldn't... it comes through me." He said looking at them all. They all nodded and Okoye agreed in her language.
"Okay." Rocket said.
"Alright." He said. Okoye, Nebula and Rocket shut off their side of the call only leaving Carol, Rhodey and Peter.
Carol turned to Rhodey, "Good luck." She said and then shut off her call.
Rhodey then turned to look at Peter with an expectant look across his face, causing Peter to sigh.
"Where are you?"
"Mexico. The Federales found a room full of bodies. Looks like a bunch of cartel guys. Never even had the chance to get their guns off." Rhodey said somberly.
"It's probably a rival gang." Peter waved it off. People fight like that all the time, nothing special about it.
"Except it isn't." As soon as s the words left the older man's mouth, Peter's eyes widened slightly in realization. Rhodey continued, "It's definitely Barton. What he's done here, what he's been doing for the last few years... I mean, the scene that he left..." Peter remembers all the times Clint was there for him, all the times they played games, pranked another member of the team, the few times that he comforted him back when he first met the team. Without his consent, his eyes started to tear up a little bit. "I gotta tell you, there's a part of me that doesn't even want to find him.
There's a moment of silence, where Peter tries to chew away the tears and emotional feelings he was feeling as he took a bite of his sandwich. After another second, he spoke up.
"Will you find out where he's going next?"
"Peter..."
"Please." Peter practically begged him. He knew how much this meant to his mother, and he couldn't stand the thought of Clint going around and doing things that he does, it's not like the man's character to do this shit.
Rhodey still looked a little reluctant but nodded anyways, "Okay." He said before he too cut off the call, leaving Peter to his own thoughts.
Peter sat down in the chair and without even noticing, he started to cry while also trying to keep the tears at bay. But to no affect, they kept flowing out of his eyes.
"You know I'd offer to cook you dinner but you seem pretty miserable already." Out of nowhere, Steve comes around the corner and leans against a bookshelf, as Peter tried to wipe off the tears that were still leaking out of his eyes.
"You here to do your laundry? Or catching a break from the Misses?" Peter sassed back with still watery eyes.
"Or to see a friend."
Peter smiled at the super soldier, "Clearly, your friend is fine."
"You know I saw a pod of whales when I was coming up the bridge."
"In the Hudson?"
"There's fewer ships, cleaner water." Steve said causing Peter to huff.
"You know, if you're about to tell me to look on the bright side. Um... I'm about to hit you in the head with a peanut butter sandwich." He jokingly smiled at the man, casually Steve to do the same.
"Sorry. Force of habit." He threw his jacket off to the side then sat down on another chair, opposite of Peter.
Once he was situated, Steve spoke up again, "You know, I keep telling everybody they should move on and... grow. Some do. But not us."
"If I move on, who does this?"
"Maybe it doesn't need to be done."
Peter didn't say anything for a second, deep in his thoughts before he spoke up, "I used to have nothing. On the run, by myself. Always fighting for anything in my life. Then I found Mary Jane and this. This job... this family. And I was... I was better because of it. And even though... they're gone... I'm still trying to be better, for those who we lost. For the people who can't be here. I'm trying to make this word a better place for the rest of us." Peter said. He sniffled and whipped his eyes one more time before clearing his throat and looking back towards Steve.
"I think we both need to get a life." Steve smiled.
"You first." He smirked back at the man, causing the captain to chuckle.
"So, when are you gonna pop the question, huh?" He asked the younger male with a teasing smirk.
"When the time is right." He playfully glared at the man.
"If you keep waiting for the perfect time, it'll never happen Queens, you just gotta ask."
"Is that what you did? Because if I remember correctly, you came to me for advice." He said with a raised eyebrow.
Steve laughed, "Ok ok, point taken, I'll drop it. Just listen to me for this one thing, the sooner the better Peter." Said young assassin was about to speak when one of the outside cameras picked up on something.
The camera footage that popped up in front of them, was showing off Scott Lang with a van behind him.
Now that wouldn't be weird if Scott wasn't one of the ones who was suspected to be dusted.
"Oh! Hi. Hi! Is anyone home? This is Scott Lang. We met a few years ago, on that mission? Remember you needed my help? I got really big, and I had my mask on. You wouldn't recognize me. Well, Cap might but I don't know if he's in there."
Steve stood up and stared at the screen in shock, "Is this an old message?"
Peter stood up and looked at the camera in astonishment, "It's the front gate."
"Ant-Man? Ant-Man, I know you know that. I need to talk to you guys."
After a few minutes, Steve and Peter let Scott in and they all made their way into the room that Peter was previously in.
"Scott. Are you okay?" Steve asked with a worried frown etched onto his face.
"Yeah. I'm fine." He replied. Peter could tell he was struggling to ask about something. But after a few seconds, he finally blurts it out.
"Have you ever studied Quantum Physics?"
"I mean, yeah I have but the old man here probably hasn't." Peter said, referring to Steve which earned him a light glare.
"Alright. So... five years ago, right before Thanos, I was in a place called the Quantum Realm. The Quantum Realm is like its own microscopic universe. To get in there, you have to be incredibly small. Hope, she's my... She was my..." Scott trailed off, struggling to tell them about the person that he had lost, "She was supposed to pull me out. And then Thanos happened, and I got stuck in there."
"I'm sorry. That must've been a very long five years." Steve said with sympathy shinning behind his eyes.
"Yeah, but that's just it. It wasn't. For me, it was five hours."
Steve looked beyond bewildered at that fact but Peter had his eyebrows furrowed in thought.
"See, the rules of the Quantum Realm aren't like they are up here. Everything is unpredictable. Is that anybody's sandwich? I'm starving." Scott got distracted when he saw the sandwich, he quickly walked over to it and Steve and Peter followed him.
"Scott, what are you talking about?" Steve asked confused.
"What I'm saying is, time works differently in the Quantum Realm. The only problem is right now, we don't have a way to navigate it. But what if we did? I can't stop thinking about it. What if, we could somehow control the chaos, and we could navigate it? What if there was a way to enter the Quantum Realm at a certain point in time but then exit at another point in time? Like... Like before Thanos."
"Wait, are you talking about a time machine?" Steve asked. The two of them didn't realize how Peter was still in his head though, carefully thinking about what the other man had just said.
"No. No, of course not. No, not a time machine. It's more like a... Yeah, a time machine. I know it's crazy. But I can't stop thinking about it. There's gotta be some way... There's gotta be...some w... it's crazy."
"It's not crazy."
Scott and Steve looked over to Peter and saw that he had a oddly serious look across his face. Peter looked up and saw their looks and sighed before speaking, "Look, quantum fluctuation messes with the Planck scale, which then triggers the Deutsch proposition." He could see that the two men were confused so he elaborated, "It means that, theoretically, you shouldn't be able to come back. Which means that even if it happened to you Scott, you have to understand that the odds were against you, it was like a billion to one cosmic fluke that you survived. You're really lucky. But, maybe...if we were able to navigate it..." Peter trailed off towards the end.
"So you're saying that we could possibly go back in time, grab the stones, snap our own fingers and then bring everyone back?" Steve asked.
"I'm saying that it could be really dangerous. I mean there is a possibility that we could screw up everything. Time is very delicate, the smallest of actions can cause problems so big that it could tear a hole through the universe. Like Newton's law states, every action, has an opposite and equal reaction." Peter said, having an internal war with himself. He knew the price would be high if they failed, but if they managed to get this right, they could bring everyone back.
"Do you think you can do it?" Steve asked him, with blossoming hope.
Peter looked up into his eyes, "Give me a night to figure it out, and I'll be back tomorrow afternoon."
"Should we tell Tony?"
"No, he retired from this life and he has a daughter to look after, I don't want him anywhere near this shit, that's final." Peter stated firmly. Steve nodded his head in acceptance.
"Tony Stark has a daughter?" Scott asked while tilting his head in confusion. Neither Peter or Steve answered, they just moved on.
"Ok, Steve do you think you can do the rest of my work for the day? I'm gonna get home and start on this right away." Steve nodded his head so Peter turned to Scott, "Feel free to make yourself at home man, nothing is gonna happen for at least a day so relax. Steve can show you to a guest room and the kitchen if you're still hungry."
Peter turned around and picked up his car keys and his coat before he moved towards the garage. Before he got out of the room, Steve called out to him.
"Should I alert the team?"
"Nah, I don't want to give any of them false hope. If I figure it out, I'll text you tonight or tomorrow morning. Once you get that text, then you can alert them to get their asses to the compound." Peter said.
"Alright, save travels Queens."
"Of course." Peter smiled at the two of them before moving out toward the garage to get to his car.
He had work to do...
