Peter made it back to the cabin by midday...

As he was pulling up to his house, he could see how his family was outside on the back patio, out by the dog and children's area. His daughter was playing with Sonia, chasing her around and causing the little girl to giggle. He let a smile play out on his face before he parked the car and got out.

He silently made his way out back to surprise them. He could see Mary Jane and his mother on the patio sitting down at the table while his sisters were playing with Mayday and Sonia.

"Are you guys having fun without me?" He called out as he finally made his way out to the back. His daughter squealed at the top of her lungs and bolted off to him. He smiled and got down onto his knees with open arms so when she crashed into him, he instantly wrapped his arms around the two year old.

"Daddy!! I thought you're supposed be back for dinner?" She said with a small pout, tilting her head to the side.

"Sorry baby, but I'm not here to play, I need to work in my lab. Something I gotta do for a friend, but I'll be back out for dinner, I promise." He said. He could see his daughter was kind of upset with that so he tried something else.

"How about after dinner, we can all sit down in the living room and watch your favorite movie. Sound good?" He asked. She nodded her head with a wide smile, causing Peter to smile at her.

"Yes yes yes!!! Thank you daddy!!"

Peter laughed and picked his daughter up, "Ok, let's get back to everyone." He said as he started to walk over to the rest of them. Ana and Gwen had moved to the patio with the rest of them to wait, probably to try and not intrude on their moment.

As soon as he got onto the patio, his family looked at him and must have seen something behind his eyes because they suddenly grew a little concerned. He smiled at them, hoping that it would relax them a little bit but that didn't work, they could read him too well.

He sighed before placing his daughter down and addressing the others, "I've got to work on something for awhile. Something has come up and I need some stuff from my lab here, I'll be out around dinner." He said, walking over to Mary Jane to lay a kiss on her head. When he pulled her in for a hug, she leaned towards his ear.

"What's going on?" She whispered. All Peter did was shake his head.

"Something big, don't worry, I'm dealing with it."

"Do I have to worry?" She asked.

"No, not yet anyways. It could be nothing, I'll know in a few hours." He whispered back before pulling away. He walked past his mother and had a silent conversation with their eyes before he nodded for her to follow him.

Once they made it inside she pulled him into a hug first before pulling away slightly to look him int the eyes, "What's happening?"

Peter sighed, "So apparently Scott Lang never was dusted, he was stuck in the Quantum Realm. For us, he was gone for five years, for him...five hours." He said. He could see her eyes widen slightly in surprise before she grew a more serious look.

"And...what does that mean for us?"

"It means, theoretically, if I were to find a way to navigate the realm, we could pop back to the past at a certain time point, grab what we needed, and come back without any time going by." Peter said.

"Who knows about this?"

"Right now? Steve, Scott, You and I. He was at the compound when Scott showed up at the front gate. I told him that by tonight or the least early tomorrow morning I'd have his answer weather or not he should call the others in." Peter said, starting to walk towards his lab with Nat hot on his heels.

"Are we gonna ask Tony if he wants to join?" She asked.

"No, he retired. I don't want him back here getting hurt anymore than he already has. We're gonna keep him out of the loop for this one...And you're acting like you know this is gonna happen, it's not guaranteed that I find a way to do this you know."

"Well, my son is the most brilliant man on this planet, if anyone can, it's you." She said placing her hand on his back and offering him a warm smile.

Peter huffed, "Well...thanks for believing in me, means a lot. I'm gonna get to work, come get me when it's time for dinner." Peter said, offering her one last smile before walking down into his lab in the basement.

A few hours later, Peter was still working on all of his ideas when he had a breakthrough. It was steadily approaching dinner so he knew he didn't have a lot of time left but he wanted to get his last idea out of his head.

"SCARLETT ," he called out to his AI as he slowly got up from his chair and moved towards the table in the center of the lab, coloring the room in a glorious blue glow.

"What can I do for you Peter," SCARLETT replied, her hologram appearing on the side of the table.

"Can you try a model for me real quick? This is the last one before I head up but it just popped in my head and I want to see where it gets us." He said, standing at the head of the table and looking at his previous, failed attempts.

"Of course. What do you need?"

"Give me the eigenvalue of a Mobius strip, inverted, please. That, particle factoring, and a spectral decomp. That'll take a second." He tapped his left foot against the ground, watching the holograms fly across the screen and form to what he wanted.

"Just a moment," SCARLETT hummed.

"And don't worry if this doesn't work," He said, waving his fake hand around, "I'm just kinda..."

Peter trailed off as he watched the hologram shift. After a second of rendering, the design finally finished and the completed design popped up for Peter to see.

"Model rendered."

Peter heard SCARLETT's voice, and if he listened close enough he would have heard the slight disbelief in her tone as well, but his eyes were stuck on the little red icon to the left of the screen that read MODEL SUCCESSFUL.

A small breath escaped from his mouth. He couldn't believe it. He actually had to grab ahold of the side of the table to balance himself because he didn't trust his legs to keep his body upright when there was so much shock running through his body.

It worked.

"Holy Fuck." Peter said, still staring at the screen in shock. That was until a little voice from behind him said something.

"Fuck!"

Peter turned around and came face to face with his daughter who was looking up at him with an innocent looking smile and a tilt to her head.

God, he still has no idea how something so innocent could come from him...

"What are you doing down here?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I'm hiding from aunt 'taysia. We're playing hide and go seek!!" She said. Peter's heart melted just a little bit when she tried to say Ana's name. He walked over to her and picked her up.

"Well, I'm sure they don't know you're down here at the moment so let's go back up there and make sure they don't freak out. It's probably dinner time anyways." He said as he moved toward the stairs and walked up to the kitchen.

When he got up there, he could see his sisters trying to find out where Mayday had gone, which caused him to smirk.

"Looking for someone?" He called out. He could see how everyone turned to look at him at the same time. Ana and Gwen breathed a sigh of relief once they saw she was ok and only with her father.

"Baby, what have we said about going down in the basement without an adult?" Mary Jane said, walking out of the kitchen to stare at their daughter with a raised eyebrow.

"Daddy's an adult." She said with a smile, a smile that looked all to much like Peter's smile when he was being a shit head.

"Well sometimes, daddy needs more adult supervision too. That's why his mommy lives with us, to keep him in line." Mary Jane said with a smirk, causing May to laugh and Peter to glare at his girlfriend without any real heat behind it.

"I'll have you know that I'm a grown adult, thank you very much." He huffed before placing his daughter down and walking over to the couch to sit down where his mother was sitting with Sonia.

"Sometimes it's hard to tell with the way you and Ana fight." Gwen rolled her eyes before heading into the kitchen to help cook dinner with Mary Jane. Ana picked up May and brought her over to the armchair and sat her down in her lap to watch the tv.

"So, what've you been doing?" Ana asked with a tilted head. He could see Natasha look at him out of the corner of his eye but he didn't acknowledge her at the moment, all he did was smile at his sister.

"Working on a problem that's recently come to my attention at the compound."

Ana frowned, "What's the problem about?"

Peter shrugged with an innocent smile, "Something about an Ant."

He walked to May's room later that night with her asleep on his shoulder. After dinner he kept his promise of watching her favorite movie with her, Raya and The Last Dragon, before she had fallen asleep on him.

Then when the movie had ended, he picked her up and started to walk over to her room.

He quietly kicked the door open before turning on one of the lamps that was in the corner of the room. He laid her down in her playpen before leaning down to lay a kiss on her head.

"Night princess, daddy loves you, so damn much. Don't you ever forget that." He whispered to her.

" 'ove you too daddy." She said as she snuggled down into her blankets.

Peter smiled at her before walking out of the room back to the living room where the rest of the family was. Before he walked out completely though, he took out his phone and pressed Steve's number.

Peter:

Missions a go Captain

Assemble the team

With that text sent, he walked out and came face to face with all four women staring at him expectantly.

"So, what's actually going on Peter?" Ana asked with furrowed eyebrows.

Peter sighed while rubbing his face with his right hand. He moved over towards the other and sank down on tot he couch.

He looked at all of them before talking, "Apparently Scott was never dead, you know, Ant-Man. He was presumed dusted but he was actually stuck in the quantum realm and earlier today he arrived at the compound." He said.

"Ok, what's that got to do with anything?" Gwen asked.

"For us, everything moved forward for five years, but to Scott, it was five hours. He came back and his daughter was suddenly five years older even though he had seen her a few hours ago." Peter admitted. He could see all of their shocked looks on their faces but Natasha was the one who snapped out of it first.

"So what does that mean for us?"

"It means I figured it out." Peter said.

"Figured what out?"

"Time travel..."

As soon as the words left his mouth, everyone in the room was left in shock. Time travel? It sounded like some crazy sci-fi movie to them, there was no way that this could really be happening.

But then again, this was Peter they were talking about. He has a tendency to do the impossible.

"Wow, that's amazing and..." Ana started off saying but it trailed off towards the end.

"Terrifying..." Gwen finished for her with a frown on her face. She moved closer to her so she could lay her hand on his shoulder, "We were lucky, you know...We were able to rebuild after it all." She told him.

He nodded his head, "I know." He said while staring out the giant window were he could see all the stars illuminating the dark sky.

Peter knew what he had to do, and so did everyone else in the room. They knew how Peter was, if he could help someone he would, no questions asked. He's just that type of person, he doesn't like it when normal people have to experience bad shit like this in their everyday lives.

"A lot of people couldn't." Gwen added, rubbing his shoulder in circular motions, trying to sooth the assassin.

Peter nodded his head, "I know, but I can't always help everyone," Peter suddenly said, turning to look at the other four. He didn't say it above a whisper but they all still heard him.

Ever since he's started to save people, he's known he wouldn't be able to save everyone, but that still hurt him. He can't stop thinking about what if this went horribly wrong? What if they messed up when they went back in time? What if they destroyed their universe? The possibilities were quite endless.

Ana huffed out a laugh, "It kinda looks like you can right now," she said quietly with a small smile directed towards the man.

"I mean sure, this could possible work and all, but there's always the unknown factor to this shit. What if something goes wrong and we mess up everything? I don't...I don't think I'd be able to live with myself if I caused something bad to happen in our timeline." Peter said. The women all looked at him for a second before looking at each other and having a silent conversation between them.

Mary Jane was the one to get up from her seat and sit down on his other side. She placed her hand on his cheek before speaking, "Peter, throughout all the years I've known you, you have never willingly done anything bad. And sure, maybe you've done bad things in the past, killed for the wrong people, but you're trying to be better and that's what matters. All of us in this room know that you'll do what it takes to make sure our home stays safe, we trust you, we believe in your abilities. It's time you do the same."

Peter looked into the eyes of his girlfriend. He doesn't know how he has kept someone as perfect as Mary Jane. He has terrible luck, the universe never fails to keep reminding him of that. But for some reason, they allowed him to keep such a beautiful woman as his partner.

God, he loves all these women, he doesn't know where he'd be without their support.

"Well, you're taking this whole time travel thing really well." Peter huffed.

"Ohh, don't get me wrong, I'm terrified. But, I know that you'd never be able to rest if you didn't go through with this." Mary Jane smiled gently at him.

"And don't even think you're benching me on this, I'm coming with you, over worked or not." Natasha said firmly.

"I wasn't planning on it." Peter smiled at her, causing her eyes to soften just a fraction.

"I wanna come too."

Everyone turned to look at Gwen in shock. Ana was about to speak up when Gwen interrupted her, "No I'm serious. Someone's gotta look out for you're sorry ass when your mother can't, might as well be me." She said. Peter looked at her for a second before nodding his head in acceptance.

"Alright, I guess I can bring you along. This'll be your first big Avengers mission too." He smirked at his sister, causing her to smirk back.

Ana sighed in resignation, "I guess I'll stay here. Just so you know, when you come back and I'm the favorite aunt, don't say I didn't warn you." She said, shrugging her shoulders with a mischievous look behind her eyes, causing everyone else to laugh. Gwen leaned over to lay a kiss on Ana's lips and after a few seconds, she pulled away.

"There, happy?"

"I don't know, it'll cost you more than that." Ana smirked back.

"And that is why I soundproofed all the bedrooms." Peter nodded his head, causing Gwen and Ana to pull apart and blush.

Mary Jane smacked his shoulder, "Stop being mean to them."

"Mean?! I'm not mean, I'm just stating a fact, it's not like I'm lying." Peter said, rubbing his shoulder even though it didn't hurt. Mary Jane rolled her eyes at his behavior but she had a small smile on her lips.

It was a few hours later, after his sisters and Mary Jane already went to bed, when his mother found him sitting down on the couch, holding her necklace in has hand that was Yelena's before her.

She moved over and sat down right next to him, placing her hand down in his hair to run her hands through it. After a couple minutes, she could hear how he started to purr, which caused her mouth to twitch up slightly.

"What's that big brain of yours thinking about?" She whispered into the silence of the room. Sonia then decided to come over from where she was lying down in her bed a few feet away. She laid down next to their legs and placed her head on top of both of their feet.

"I miss her." He admitted, still running his fingers through the R of the necklace.

"I do too, but we now have a way to get her back, get them all back." Natasha said. Peter laid his head down onto her shoulder and she laid hers on top of his head.

"We're doing this."

"Yes, we are."

"I'm really glad you're here mom." Peter said. Natasha's insides fluttered when she heard him call her mom, it never gets old to her. The concept of her being a mother would have been so foreign to the old her, so foreign she's not sure what her reaction would have been.

But now, she couldn't imagine what her life would be like without being a mother.

She never realized how happy she could be, just from one simple word.

"I'm really glad you're here too. I don't know what I would have done if you were dusted." She admitted.

"Yeah...I just hope everything goes according to plan... but just incase..I wanna...just...say that your the best damn mom in the business, best mom anyone could ever ask for, so thank you, for choosing me to be your son."

Natasha smiled to herself before placing a kiss on top of his head, "Of course, I'll always be here for you."

And in the darkness of their living room, Peter actually believed that for a split second.
