After the test was successful, all the Avengers had moved into a conference room to talk about what would be happening next. Peter, Steve, and Banner were standing in front of the remaining Avengers at the head of table near the planning board to plan exactly what would happen on their mission.

"Okay, so the how works, Now we gotta figure out the when and the where. Almost all of us has had an encounter with at least one of the six infinity stones." Steve started them off, looking around at all the surrounding heroes.

"Well, I'd substitute the word encounter for damn well near been killed by one of the six infinity stones," Peter added in after Steve, crossing his arms over his chest.

Some of them, like Gwen, has only ever seen a stone, like the one in Vision's head when he was still alive. Gwen now assumed Scott didn't even know what any of these things were because he asked, "I haven't, I don't even know what the hell you're all talking about."

Gwen internally smirked when Banner avoided Scott's questioning and just moved onto the next subject, "Regardless, we only have enough Pym Particles for one round trip each, and these stones have been in a lot of different places throughout history."

"Our history. So, not a lot of convenient spots to just drop in." Peter said, looking back at the board with a serious gaze.

"So, that means we have to pick our targets?" Clint asked.

"Correct, we have to choose wisely." Peter answered, turning back to look at everyone.

"Let's start with the Aether. Thor, what do you know?" Steve asked, turning to look at the god.

The rest of them turned to Thor too, but due to the glasses that were over his eyes, it was impossible to tell if he was asleep or awake. He had one of his hands stuffed in his pants with the other lightly holding a beer.

And he reeked of booze...

"Is... Is he asleep?" Gwen asked with a quirked brow.

"I think he's dead." Rhodey deadpanned.

As soon as those words left the Colonel's mouth, Thor woke up and immediately stood up when he saw the first infinity stone on the board was in fact, the Reality Stone.

He pulled his shirt down to cover his giant stomach and began to speak to the rest of the Avengers, "Where to start? Umm... The Aether, first, is not a stone, someone called it a stone before. It's more of a... and angry sludge thing, so... someones gonna need to amend that. Here's an interesting story though, many years ago... My grandfather had to hide the stones from the Dark Elves..."

Thor wiggled his fingers when he said that and Peter looked at the god in sadness. He knew Thor wasn't really healing after everything that happened but he didn't know it was this bad, "Wooooh, scary beings. So Jane," Thor moved to the side and put his hand under the picture of Jane. Another person who had been dusted, "Oh, there she is. That's Jane... She's... an old flame of mine... She... she stuck her hand inside a rock this one time... and then the Aether stuck itself inside her... And, she became very, very sick. So I had to take her to Asgard, which is where I'm from. And we had to try and fix her. We were dating at the time, you see. I got to introduce her to my Mother... who's dead..."

Peter internally sighed, this was not going how he thought it would be going at all. All the other Avengers were watching Thor with varying emotions across their face. Banner was staring at him in sympathy, Steve had a slight frown across his face, Rhodey and Rocket looked to be slightly amused with the God's behavior, but also just as concerned, Nebula was watching on, not knowing where this would go, Clint and Natasha were raising an eyebrow at the god and Gwen and Scott were slightly confused.

Peter then decided he should probably step up and help the God not have a break down in front of everyone, "You did great, Thor. Do you want eggs? Breakfast?" He asked, leading him to his chair.

"I'd like a Bloody Mary, please." Thor said, looking at Peter with a smile.

They all came back together when they had some breakfast in front of them all. Peter was leaning back in his chair with a note pad and pen in his hand, taking notes on what Rocket was saying at the moment.

"Morag?" Scott questioned, "Like a person?"

"No, Morag's a planet. Quill was a person." Rocket answered the man in an annoyed tone of voice.

"A planet? Like in outer space?" Scott asked with an eyebrow raised in surprise. To the occupants of the room, they could here the excitement in his voice of the possibility of a new planet.

"Oh, look. It's like a little puppy, all happy and everything." Rocket walked up to Scott and started to imitate talking to a puppy while petting the man's hair, causing Peter to smirk, "Do you wanna go to space? You wanna go to space, puppy? I'll get you to space." He said, causing Peter to snort but he quickly hid his face back into the notepad so he didn't have to look at all the others who had looked his way.

He did look up though when Natasha smacked the backside of his head. He looked up with a pout directed over at his mother, causing her to smirk at him and the others to lightly chuckle.

After Rocket's information, it was Nebula's turn to talk. She was talking about everything she knew about the soul stone and what she had gathered about it in her travels. "Thanos found the Soul Stone on Vormir." She said. Gwen looked up and tilted her head at the cyborg.

"What is Vormir?" She asked.

"A dominion of death, at the very center of Celestial existence. It's where... Thanos murdered my sister." Nebula finished darkly, looking around the room. Everyone was left in silence, not knowing what to say after that. While everyone was stuck in their own thoughts, Peter was thinking.

To him, something didn't add up with Vormir. Thanos went there to get the Stone but he didn't come back with Nebula's sister, she said that the Titan had to murder her.

From the stories she has told him, it seemed that Thanos had cared somewhat for Gamora while she was alive...so why would he kill her...?

Unless...he didn't have a choice...

Peter's eyes widened a little bit before he schooled his emotions and continued to write down on the notepad. It would make sense, in order to get the soul stone, you'd have to give a soul in return.

That meant someone had to die...

He was defiantly gonna be the one to go to Vormir, and no one would be able to convince him otherwise.

If he had looked up, he would have saw Gwen's suspicious glare pointed directly at him...

Scott was the one to break the atmosphere, trying to crack a joke, "Not it." He said.

Peter internally nodded his head at Scott's comment...

Everyone was already asleep except for Natasha, Peter, and Banner after a long day of trying to figure everything out. Natasha and Peter were laying next to each other on the desk, while Banner was laying on the floor, all of them surrounded by papers.

Natasha and Peter had one hand intertwined with each other, with her slowly rubbing the back of his real hand. "That Time Stone guy..." Nat muttered, remembering what Peter had told her about the man who had protected the time stone but gave it to Thanos in trade for letting Peter live, a trade that she was all too happy that the doctor had made.

Even if it costed them the universe...

She couldn't imagine a world without her son.

"Doctor Strange." Peter answered, squeezing her hand, sensing what she was thinking about and giving her his silent support.

"Yeah, what kind of doctor was he?" She asked.

"Mix Neurosurgeon with a Harry Potter rip off." Peter said with a smirk, still looking up at the ceiling.

"Nice place in the village, though." Banner hummed, playing with a stray piece of paper on the floor next to him.

"Yeah, over on Bleecker Street." Peter responded.

"Wait," Natasha said, suddenly sitting up, "He lived in New York?"

"No, he lived in the Appalachian Mountains." Peter replied sarcastically, causing Nat to flick his forehead.

She ignored his pout for a second so she could respond. "Guys, if you pick the right year, there are three stones in New York!"

Banner and Peter both sit up in surprise, "Shut the fucking front door." Peter said, his mouth slowly forming into a grin.

Natasha playfully glared at her son before smacking him across the head again, "Watch your goddamn Language." She smirked, causing Peter to sputter.

"First of all, ow that hurt, B, you're a hypocrite and Three, what's with everyone smacking me today? I haven't done anything wrong."

"I'm the parent, I can do what I want and maybe if you behaved you wouldn't get hit." She sassed back at the young man causing him to glare at her.

"Watch yourself Romanov."

She raised an eyebrow at him, "Ohh no, I'm so scared, what're you gonna do about it...Romanov?" She asked.

Banner looked at the mother-son duo with a smile. He's really glad that they had found each other and have learned to be more expressive around others. God knows the both of them needed someone else in their life, he's really happy for them.

Hopefully everything goes according to plan and they can get the rest of their family back...

——————

In the morning after everything was planned out, Peter went into his lab while Steve was discussing the final stages of said plan with the rest of the Avengers.

Peter was using resources to build a new Spider-Man suit. Something that he hasn't worn regularly in such a long time. But he knew he couldn't just go into this with a fancy vest, he'd need protection so he focused on making the Iron-Spider suit the best it could be.

He added in blasters, direct connection to all his AI's, missiles, his webs, energy swords, anything he could possibly think of was in the suit. He even put in a cool shield prototype that looked like Steve's.

He also was hiding in his lab because his senses have been going off the charts since talking about Vormir and getting the stones. He didn't know why his spidey-sense was telling him to watch out for danger when there wasn't a threat anywhere in sight, but if Peter has leaned anything over his life time, it's you always listen to your senses, no matter what situation you're in.

He did have a hunch about what it was trying to tell him though. It was a warning, like the other times it has warned him, that if he went through with this, there was a good chance of him either not making it out alive or getting extremely hurt in the process.

Now, it's not like he wanted to die and leave his family behind. To leave his mother, his girlfriend, his daughter behind, but he owed it to every person that didn't make it to try, to try to make up for all the wrong that he has brought into this world, to try and wipe just a little red off of the ledger.

He'd do whatever he had to in order to fix this mess that he helped cause...

While SCARLETT was finishing up with the color scheme and adding in the features to the suit, Peter was working on the gauntlet. The gauntlet was made in Peter's colors, red and black, with six little rings on the back of the hand for the infinity stones. He also added a few cool designs on it as well. It had his signature Spider-Man symbol on the palm, Natasha's Black Widow symbol on the thumb, Steve's star on the pointer finger, an arrow on the middle finger for Clint, a symbol of a fist on the ring finger for Banner and on the pinkie was the air force symbol for Rhodey.

His Spider-Man suit had just finished by the time he was done with the Gauntlet, so he walked over to it and looked it over from head to toe and nodded. He decided to add some last minute updates. His spider stingers as he liked to call them, but really they were just blades that extended from his wrists, which would be more effective and less likely to break off.

He didn't need a repeat of last time...

He also updated some of his webbings in his right hand so they could be better at doing certain tasks, like disarming an enemy, trap an enemy, or a new one he came up with was his cement webbing. It was so heavy that it would essentially trap them against it and wouldn't allow them any movement. They wouldn't be able to struggle or anything like that with that kind of webbing.

Another update he added would allow him to take Thor's lightning blast and channel it into some of his weapons and the other one allowed him to take hold of the gauntlet and let it merge with his suit, just incase. He also had a backup that if that were to fail and he couldn't get the glove, his right hand would be able to just pick up the infinity stones and use them.

Just incase...

A sudden thought came over Peter and he had to make sure things were looked after while he was gone, "SCARLETT, can you make sure IVAN keeps a look out on Madripoor while I'm gone? Tell him if he spots anything suspicious to contact Shelby."

"Certainly sir, I'll inform him immediately."

When everything was done, Peter placed the gauntlet on one of the side tables to wait for them to get back before he moved over to his Quantum suit and placed the watch on his wrist. He put the wrist bands that held his real suit on his hands too before he stepped out of his lab and made his way over to the others with his Quantum suit on.

When he got over to where the Quantum tunnel was, the others looked up when he had arrived. Gwen raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms over her chest. He realized he was the last one to get there and everyone was in their suits already.

"Took you long enough." She said.

Peter rolled his eyes before smirking at her and joined the rest of them. Steve then spoke up, "Five years ago, we lost. All of us. We lost friends... We lost family... We lost a part of ourselves. Today, we have a chance to take it all back. You know your teams, you know your missions. Get the stones, get them back. One round trip each. No mistakes. No do-overs. Most of us are going somewhere we know. But it doesn't mean we should know what to expect. Be careful. Look out for each other. This is the fight of our lives. And we're gonna win." Peter looked and saw Steve's eyes were radiating with hope, "Whatever it takes. Good luck." He finished off. Everyone smiled at each other when the man finished his speech, they'd finish this, then bring everyone back.

"He's pretty good at that." Rocket said with a slightly impressed nod.

"Right?!" Scott said excitedly.

Before Scott could fanboy anymore for the soldier, Peter decided to turn and walk up the platform while calling out behind him, "Stroke those keys, jolly green!" As soon as he said that, everyone else followed him up onto the platform except for Bruce who was down at the controls for a second, getting everything ready.

"Tractors engaged."

"You promise to bring that back in one piece, right?" Rocket asked, referring to the Benatar that was placed in Peter's hand.

The teams for the missions where something that they had to all decide on this morning when they all had woken up.

They eventually decided that Scott, Steve, Bruce, Nat and Clint would all go to New York in 2012 during the invasion since most of them knew what was happening back then. They'd be in charge of getting the Mind, Space and Time Stone.

The second team would be Rocket and Thor who would go to Asgard to get the Reality Stone, team three would be Rhodey and Nebula who would get the Power Stone and the last team was Gwen and Peter.

Those two would be going to Vormir...

"Yeah, I promise she'll be in good hands." Peter nodded at the raccoon.

"As promises go, that wasn't half bad." Rocket said which caused Peter to smile down at him.

They all looked at each other one last time. This was it, the endgame. This is what Strange had meant when he said there was no other way, this is how they would win, Peter thought to himself. The fight of their lives, the biggest fight of his life.

He closed his eyes and let all his memories that he had made with the people in his life wash over him. That one time Wade helped him through a panic attack, when Luke and Danny went to an arcade with him and they played ski ball all day, when his mother comforted him when he was too stuck in his head, when Matt and him went out on patrols and had fun jumping around buildings, just messing around, Ana's soft smile when he tried to comfort her, Gwen's annoyed glare when he says something stupid, the warmth of his girlfriends arms around him, his daughter's laughter when they go outside, Yelena's fond gaze that she only seemed to have when around either him or his siblings...his family that he literally build up from nothing.

He didn't know what he'd do without them, and now he had a chance to get some of them back, get Yelena back even if there was a chance of him not making it back.

There was a reason that he survived Titan, a reason that Strange sacrificed the stone to save him when he knew how to win.

He was given a second chance at life, a second chance to fix all the mistakes he has made over the years...

And he's not gonna waste it...

He opened his eyes and watched as everyone's helmet came up over their faces. He could hear the tunnel beginning to turn on, so Peter looked over at his mother and gave her a nod and a slight smile. She smiled back at him and nodded her head at him as well.

This was possibly the last chance he'd get to see his mother...

Steve had said Whatever it takes, and Peter will do whatever it takes to bring his old family back while making sure his new one stays safe.

"See you in a minute." Peter smirked at her, receiving one in return before both of their helmets flipped on.

They all hit the button on their wrist and shrunk down and entered the quantum realm, from Peter's view, he could see every group spilt up going into different passages, a different time in history.

He only hoped his family would come back in one piece after they were done, because the likelihood of him coming back was slim to none, so he wanted all of his family there for each other to deal with the loss of him...

If only he knew that Gwen's only thoughts were about doing everything she could to save her brother from that fate...
