Tony was beyond pissed at the moment...
First he found out that the compound was exploded and a giant alien ship was hovering above it, then he realized that his family was in said building when it exploded, and then he found out that all those people that had disappeared five years ago?
Yeah, they were back...
He also didn't fail to notice how his family never informed him of this plan of theirs at all...
Which ok, ow first of all and second of all, ow...
Where was the trust?
Anyways, as he was flying to the compound, he was getting ready for his speech that he was gonna have to say in front of his family for not telling him about this. But those thoughts instantly left his mind as soon as he got close enough and actually saw the giant ship above the ruined building.
"Holy shit." Where the only words that came out of his mouth before he quickly blasted off towards the ruined building.
"Friday, scan for the others. Is there anyone I can reach at the moment?" He asked in a hurry, not liking the thought of anyone of his family members getting trapped under all of that.
"The closest people to your position would be Miss Romanov and Miss Belova. They seem to be under the ground level and can't find a way out of the rubble." His AI informed him. He quickly shot off towards the direction where it would be easiest to get the two spies out. He used his suit to blow a hole through a semi-stable piece of concrete, creating a way into and out of the floor below.
He flew down and saw that the two women were trying to fight off all these dog like things and it looked liked they weren't winning in the slightest.
Tony quickly engaged the aliens and offered all his help to them. In a matter of minutes, they all took out the monsters and were safe for the moment.
Tony flipped up his mask and raised an eyebrow at Natasha, "Care to tell me why my building is in ruins and people are back from the dead?" He asked. Tony only got a smirk in return though which caused him to roll his eyes at the Russian spy.
She shrugged her shoulders, "Maybe, but I feel like we have a bigger problem on our hands, wouldn't you agree?" She asked, which ok, he couldn't argue with her logic on that, not that he usually could, she was usually right about most things.
It never failed to annoy him, just a little bit.
Her son also had that habit of being right 99 percent of the time and when he popped up it annoyed him even more...
"Yeah, whatever you say Red, but this conversation is not over." He said. Natasha smiled at the old nickname that he had given her years ago, it never failed to bring a smile to her face. Tony then put all his attention on the other spy down there.
"So, blondie, you're not dead anymore, congratulations on that but if we could table this discussion for later, we need to get up there to the surface and find the others." He said. Tony didn't pay any mind to the glare that Yelena had sent him, he was far too used to Nat's glare to react to hers.
It didn't make it any less scarier though...
He doesn't know how Parker can go up against Nat's, Yelena's, Gwen's, Ana's and his girlfriends glare.
The kid's fucking invincible...

Clint ran through the tunnels underneath the compound in desperation, trying to get away from all the aliens as fast as he could. He grabbed the explosive arrow that was in his quiver and planted them randomly across the walls, metal bars, really anything that he could reach before he turned around and started to run backwards. He pulled back an arrow himself and shot it down the hall way which caused a chain reaction that blew them all up.
It barely made a dent in the hoards of aliens though, knocking down some but not a lot so Clint turned back around and sprinted off towards the end of the hallway but ran into a dead end.
He looked around hurriedly, trying to think of a solution as he heard all the grunts and screeches of the monsters slowly gain up to him, he knew those arrows wouldn't keep them down but a man can hope, can't he?
He then looked up and saw that there was a giant hole that looked to reach pretty far up near the surface. He needed to get up there, but how was the question.
Clint then remembered that he had one hook arrow left so he quickly dug around until he found it.
And Natasha said he packed too many different arrows...
It was times like this that Clint was glad that he ignored his best friend and packed such a variety of different ones, all thanks to Peter of course.
Clint quickly aimed the arrow to the top of the hole and fired it before being pulled upwards. The monsters had just barley missed the man as he was pulled upwards. When he got up, he could see some of the light leaking through the cracks of some of the concrete so he knew he was really close.
He laid down on his back before he started to cough and clutched his side in pain from when he originally landed down there, "That right there, is why you always come prepared." Clint panted on the ground. He knew he was talking to himself at this point but no one could really blame the guy, he spent the last five years by himself killing people.
Clint then heard a nose and looked up and saw Nebula standing before him, "Don't I know you?" He asked. He handed her the glove, "You take it, I've had enough of those fucks." He finished.
"Father, I have the stones." Nebula said into her com, causing Clint to jolt upwards.
"You have what now?" Clint asked as he stood up quickly and prepared for a fight but he wasn't prepared for another Nebula and a green woman to come through another door way.
The green woman was slender, had green skin (duh), had black and red hair, her eyes were locked onto the Nebula who had the glove and she was quickly analyzing her, taking into account about what she would most likely do.
She looked ready for a fight and ready to kill if she had to.
"Stop." The green woman ordered, slightly glaring at her. At this point Clint quickly moved over to the two woman who were probably on his side, he didn't know a hundred percent at the moment, but he was pretty sure...
"You're betraying us?" Imposter Nebula asked the green woman in disbelief.
"You don't have to do this." The good Nebula said to her evil doppelgänger.
"But..." Bad Nebula looked around the room before her eyes landed on herself again, "I am this."
"No, you're not." The green woman said gently but also firmly towards her.
"You've seen what we become." Nebula says to Not-Nebula.
God, this was getting too confusing for Clint's brain to handle...
"Nebula, listen to her."
"You can change."
"He won't let me."
Without warning, Nebula shoots Bad Nebula right in the head. The doppelgänger then fell to the floor, completely lifeless and Nebula only looked at the younger version of herself on the ground with pity. She wished she could have changed sooner, if she did, she could've hade a relationship with her sister for longer than she actually did.
Clint then walked over and grabbed the infinity gauntlet off the ground before he turned back to look at them, "So, how about we get the hell out of here."
—————
"Okay, Thor. Hit me." Peter said, getting into position in front of the Titan. He quickly shot his webs at the aliens before Thor banged his two hammers together.
The lightning from both of the hammers combined were shot towards the back of Peter's suit which sucked up the energy, super charging his webs and made all the electrical current flow into the Titan.
Thanos grunted in pain but continued to slowly trek his way over to where Peter was standing. Thor saw that and quickly reacted to it. He pulled back his arm and chucked Mjolnir at the raging Titan, trying to hit him off balance.
Unfortunately, Thanos had arrived mere feet away from Peter and he saw the attack coming. He quickly grabbed the young man and used him as a shield. The hammer hit Peter square in the chest causing him to lose all the breath he had in his lungs. Thanos then threw the spider away from them and he landed in a pile of debris a little ways away from them.
All Peter could see at the moment were black spots and the world was spinning around like crazy. He definitely landed on his head but thank god he had on a helmet
"Peter wake up!" He vaguely heard someone shout into his ear and it took him longer than he cared to admit when he recognized that voice as SCARLETT.
He grunted and slowly sat up from his position against the rocks and only once his sight was fully restored and no longer spinning, he could see what was happening.
Steve was trying to attack Thanos but was easily shielded away by the Mad Titan. Then Thor decided to have a go at him and tried to attack Thanos with his hammers but his attempts to, were blocked by the Titan's sword.
Peter then watched as Thor was beaten and choked by Thanos, the god trying to punch him with all his might but barely making a dent in the man. He tried to summon Mjolnir but Thanos made sure he couldn't grab it and it was flicked away.
As Thanos relentlessly continued to beat up Thor, Peter's attention was drawn to the hammer that had landed right in front of him.
In the stories that he has heard, from both his family and the myths of earth, only the worthy would be able to wield a weapon with such power such as the God's hammer. Staring at said weapon now, it was almost like there was a force pulling him in, telling him to pick it up.
His instincts have never been wrong before...
Thanos threw Thor into a broken tree and punched him right in the face before he threw him again over a pile of rubble and continued to punch the daylights out of the god. Thor tried to grab Stormbreaker but Thanos saw this and quickly grabbed it instead and tried to stab it into the gods chest.
Thor grunted in pain, trying to fight off the mad Titan but he was quickly losing the battle. He hasn't been in great shape for the past few years and he's really starting to regret that at the moment.
Suddenly though when Thor was about to admit defeat, something hit Thanos in the back of his head, causing the Titan to stumble and look back behind him to see what happened. Thor also looked back and what he saw shocked him.
Peter was standing up with his hand outstretched and the god watched as his hammer was called back to the young man's hand. Peter looked up and glared at the Titan, daring him to make the next move.
"Parker?" He muttered in disbelief. No one else has ever been worthy of the hammer except for him in all the years of him meeting people.
He's been the first other person to be worthy in thousands of years...
Thanos snarled at the man and kicked Thor to the ground and proceeded to charge at Peter. His helmet closed around his head and Peter charged right back at the madman.
Peter ran at Thanos while he was swinging Mjolnir with his left hand. As soon as Thanos was close enough though, he switched the hammer to his right hand and jumped up a bit and hit the alien under his chin which caused him to be knocked away after being thrown into the air a little bit.
When Thanos landed onto the ground, Peter quickly rushed over to him and started to fight him off. He knocked his sword away so he couldn't fight back before he kept on throwing the hammer at his face, his arms, his legs, anything that Peter could reach, he made sure the Titan could feel it.
He then kicked him away from him before he lined his arm back up and underarmed a channel of lightning directed right at Thanos. Peter watched as the energy from the hammer channeled into the aliens body with satisfaction, glad that he was finally giving this fuck face exactly what he deserved.
Unfortunately though, that couldn't last forever...
Thanos eventually got the upper hand, he removed his helmet and rushed at Peter. The younger man wasn't expecting this and didn't have time to react before Thanos grabbed his sword and stabbed Peter in his upper right arm, causing him to hiss and drop Mjolnir out of his hand.
Thanos then kept on swiping the sword at him, trying to catch the spider on the end of his blade but it wouldn't work out for the alien. Peter had his senses to help him, Thanos didn't.
With a last scream of pure anger, Thanos managed to clip Peter's right hand, his fake hand, which caused a slight shock to be sent through his body, distracting him but that's all the time Thanos needed. He quickly back handed him and Peter was then sent flying into a giant concrete wall.
Peter shook his head before he shakily tried to get up. He looked around and saw that Steve was knocked out cold and so was Thor, not responsive at all.
Great...
He looked back around and saw Thanos standing tall, looking at him dead in the eyes, "In all my years of conquest, violence, slaughter...It was never personal. But I'll tell you now, what I'm about to do to your stubborn, annoying little planet...I'm gonna enjoy it. Very, very much." He said.
Peter looked around as all of the Titan's army landed onto the ground. Upon seeing the army descending on Earth, Peter slowly got back to his feet. With a fierce determination, he glared at Thanos and his army before activating his energy shield from his suit and extending a hidden blade that was in his suit.
Kind of like the one Thanos used to cut off his right hand...
There was an electrical pulse going through his whole right side too because his right hand was a little busted at the moment, thanks to Thanos. He had disrupted the inner wiring when he nicked the hand, so now Peter had to deal with that shit.
But through the pain, Peter stood up and faced his body towards Thanos' giant army, alone.
One man vs an army to save the universe.
That shit was FanFiction worthy motherfucker...
Suddenly, a crackling sound was heard from Peter's com. It took a few seconds before a voice was talking, but Peter instantly recognized the voice.
"Hey, Kid...you read me?" Sam Wilson, AKA The fucking Falcon said. Peter slightly smiled to himself as he looked around to see if he could see the man.
"Cap, Pete you read me? It's Sam. Can you hear me?" He asked again. Peter was about to answer but a sparkling sound from behind him caused the young man to turn around.
He realized that a golden, orange portal had begun to form from behind him.
Peter looked on and stared in awe at all the golden portals that were appearing. He could see that the first portal that was opening was from Wakanda. The first people out of that one was the King T'Challa, followed by his sister, Shuri, then there was Okoye and a couple other members of the Dora Milaje.
After the first few people, The Falcon flew out from the portal too, just above the young man.
After the first portal, more and more of them continued to open up to reveal more and more heroes of all kinds. He saw Doctor Strange, Mantis, Quill, and Drax, walk out of the one from Titan, saw all the Wakandan warriors walk through another one, the Asgardian warriors, different ships, more wizards but one portal caught his attention above all else.
It was a portal that looked to be New York City on the other side, but what caught his attention was who was walking out of it.
Matt...
Felicia...
Colleen...
Wade...
Cable...
Luke...
Jessica...
Danny...
All the Vigilantes...
Peter almost laughed in pure joy when he saw that they were all back and alive again.
Heroes from all around, Valkyrie, the Asgardians, Bucky, Groot, he could even see Wanda glaring daggers at the aliens. Which he couldn't blame her one bit for, Thanos was responsible for the death of her boyfriend.
Basically everyone who has ever opposed of Thanos was there, standing up to the Mad Titan.
Peter looked over and saw that Yelena, Natasha, Steve and Thor were all walking up to him, staring around in disbelief like he was.
This was sure to be the fight of their lives...
Suddenly, Tony and his Iron-Man suit landed right next to him. His faceplate came up and he stared at the younger man, "We'll talk about you trying to ditch me later, let's worry about this first though." And without another word, his mask flipped back down and the older man stood and faced Thanos.
"Is that everyone?" He heard doctor Strange ask to his friend. Wong.
"What, you wanted more?" The other wizard exclaimed to his long time friend which caused Peter to smirk.
Suddenly, Scott emerged from the rubble of the Avengers facility with Hulk, War Machine, and Rocket.
Guess that answered Peter's question if Scott ever made it down to them in time...
The Avengers, Guardians, Wakandans, Asgardians, and even some aliens that were against Thanos took up battle positions, with the heroes across from Thanos' forces.
Peter looked around one last time before he smirked, at Steve, watching as the man smirked back, "AVENGERS!" The Captain bellowed at the top of his lungs. Peter extended his hand to summon Mjolnir to his hand and once the hammer was resting in his outstretched hand, he looked up at Thanos right in the eyes and glared with as much hatred as possible.
"Assemble..."
Thor made a battle cry which caused the heroes to charge at the mad Titan and his army. Thanos raised his sword towards them, commanding his army to charge as well.
This would for sure be a battle that everyone would remember...
————
Peter was in the middle of fighting off a group of aliens when he looked over to his left and saw his mother and Yelena trying to fight off one of the members of The Children of Thanos. It looked to be the female one but Peter couldn't really tell from his angle. He started to run over to them and when he got a little closer he watched as his mother was thrown onto the ground with the alien above her, ready to stab her weapon down.
Peter instantly released his electric web to electrocute her, making her body seize up for a second but that was all he needed. He quickly pulled the webs back and watched as she crashed into the ground and a second later, Scott walked over and stepped on her. Peter looked back over to the two women with a smirk.
Both women didn't need to see his face to know he was smirking behind the mask so the both of them rolled their eyes at him, "You done showing off Pyotr?" It was Yelena who asked the question, crossing her arms over her chest while raising an eyebrow at him.
Peter's smirk only widened underneath his mask, "Ohh I'm only getting started Lena, just you wait." He said, causing his mother to snort in amusement and stare at her son with a fond look behind her eyes.
Peter then got a little more serious, "You're ok, right? SCARLETT said you were trapped down a level but I couldn't get to you, had to deal with Thanos."
Natasha nodded her head, "Yup, all good here. Tony came and helped us out before we joined the rest of you." She said. It must have taken her a second longer to process his words because when she did, she glared at him, "And what do you mean deal with Thanos, hmm?"
"Umm, no comment."
"I, for one would like a comment, wouldn't you sis?" Nat asked Yelena.
"Yup, come on, answer the question Pete." Yelena lightly glared at him, causing the younger man to raise an eyebrow at them.
"You do realize that your glares don't effect me right? I spent the majority of my life dealing with disappointed, angry, and jealous glares from the other spies at the academy." Peter deadpanned.
"It couldn't hurt to try though."
Peter smiled and quickly walked the rest of the distance to them and brought them in for a hug. They gladly returned the favor and brought the young man in between both of their arms, safe for the moment.
They all soaked in the comfort that they were alive and well in each other's arms for a second before they had to split apart. As much as they would like to, they couldn't just stay there and hug for the whole battle, they needed to win this.
Before Peter swing off in the other direction, Natasha grabbed his hand, "Stay safe."
Peter looked back and nodded once, "Always."

Clint finally made it up to the surface with the gauntlet in hand. He looked around and saw that everyone was battling with aliens, but he wasn't worried about that at the moment, he was worried about Thanos who was looking around the battlefield, trying to find something.
Wonder what that was?
Clint quickly put his hand to his ear to activate his com, "Steve, what do I do with the gauntlet?" He basically yelled into the com, catching all the heroes attention.
"Get those stones as far away as possible!" Cap replied through the device. He sounded like he was out of breath and fighting off hoards of these monsters with all the growls in the background.
"No! We need to get them back from where they came from! They don't belong in our timeline!!" Peter yelled while fighting off some of his own enemies.
"Where I agree with you, there's no way to get them back. Thanos destroyed the quantum tunnel." Bruce spoke for the first time since he had gotten out of the rubble.
Suddenly, Scott spoke into the com, "Hold on!" He shouted excitedly, "That wasn't our only time machine!"
Peter stopped what he was doing for a second when he heard a car horn. Steve looked around him and pressed his finger to his ear, "Can anyone see an ugly, brown van up there?"
"Yes but you're not gonna like where it's parked!!!" Valkryie shouted.
"Scott, how long do you think it will take to get it to work?" Peter asked.
"Ten minutes!"
"Get it started. We'll get the stones to you." Steve replied with a determined voice.
Soon after that though, Clint got overrun by aliens coming at him at all different angles. He was basically trapped before he heard a shout come from his right.
"Clint, give it to me." The king ordered so who was Clint to deny him that. If he wanted to be chased around and beaten up, go for it.
As soon as the gauntlet was off in T'Challa's hands, he sprinted off towards the direction of the van while clint went back to shooting arrows at anything that got into his line of sight.
This was gonna be a long day...
——————
"Hey!" Peter shouted to Doctor Strange. The man turned towards the spider once he had heard him and Peter saw him again for the first time in five years.
He didn't change at all except he looked to be slightly stressed and he was panting from exhaustion. His eyes though, held the same look all those years ago when he saw the endless amounts of futures. He knew something more about this battle that he wasn't telling anyone.
More specifically, he knew something that would affect him and he was keeping it a secret...
Peter didn't know how to bring that up in conversation though, so he said the next best thing, "You said one out of fourteen million, we win right? Is this the one?" He asked.
Peter had to know, he couldn't even imagine what would happen if they lost again, a second time.
But this time, there would be no going back to fix it...
Doctor Strange just looked back at him with a somber face, his mouth set into a firm line and Peter could see him slightly shake his head, "If I tell you what happens, it won't happen." He said.
Peter exhaled a shaky breath before he looked back up at the doctor, "Well you better be right, for all our sakes."
"Don't worry, the feelings are mutual."
"Yeah well, I got places to be, keep up the good work." Without another word, Peter swung off in the opposite direction to fight off more aliens.
As soon as the young man was out of earshot, Strange let out a breath that he was holding since Parker had swung over to him.
"Let's hope your mother doesn't kill me..." He muttered to himself before going back to fighting.
—————
So, Thanos was a prick...
And there's nothing anyone could say to deny that fact, because it is, a fact...
Somewhere along the way, once Wanda had gotten to the alien, Thanos decided that it'd be a good idea to rain down fire onto all his troops just to take out some of the good ones.
What kind of sick maniac does shit like that...
Anyways, Peter was using Thor's hammer to escape because he had finally gotten hold of the gauntlet but as soon as he was in the air, a blast had hit him in the back sending him falling into the ground.
He was pretty lucky that his energy shields for his suit were still working...
As soon as the blast hit him, his suit absorbed most of it but the shock still sent him spiraling down towards the ground. He dropped the hammer when he was hit and he couldn't get it in time to catch him so he curled his body around the gauntlet and waited for the impact. When he landed, a little crater formed due to all the force from the suit.
Everyone around the battlefield was shielding each other with the help from the wizards and Peter didn't know what to do. He had the gauntlet in hand but he was conflicted, should he put it on just to end this, or get them back to the past like the plan was.
And even if they did get it back to the past, they would still have to deal with Thanos and his army.
The battle was far from over...
With all the dust that was in the air, he couldn't really see around him so he couldn't see an alien was gunning for him and the gauntlet.
He turned around at the last second and came face to face with a giant alien with a claw weapon, the same one that was in New York those years ago, charging him so he got ready to attack but he didn't need to.
Because there was two swords that had just went through the guys chest...
The alien fell to his knees and a second later, the swords were pulled out and he fell to the ground, dead. Peter looked past the body and saw that Wade Fucking Wilson was standing right there in front of him, alive.
"Hey baby boy, how's life been?" He greeted cheerfully towards the younger assassin. Peter huffed a laugh before he walked over to the man and brought him in for a hug, the gauntlet still safety tucked underneath his left arm.
"It's nice to see you again Wade." Peter whispered after a couple seconds of silence. Surprisingly, Wade actually hugged him back a little and patted his back.
"Damn right it is Pete, I'm awesome, who wouldn't miss me?" He teased. Wade pulled back and smirked underneath his mask at the other Vigilante.
Five years. Five years that he's missed the other half of his family. Five years of having to move on without them and everyday it hurt. It hurt to realize that none of them could be there with the rest.
He's glad that everyone's back...
"Well you've certainly grown." Wade said with a raised eyebrow.
"And I bet you he still has those dumb jokes that aren't funny whatsoever." Cable said walking up to the two of them. His comment only caused Peter to smirk at the cyborg.
"Nahh, they've just upgraded to dad jokes instead." He said. Cable was a little shocked at the information but nodded his head after a second while Wade was jumping up and down, clapping his hands together like a fan girl.
"Aww, our little Pete is all grown up, he has a kid of his own now." Wade said in a baby voice causing Peter to roll his eyes at him.
"Shut the hell up Wade."
At that moment, Thanos' ship was destroyed and started to fall to the ground. Peter looked up and saw a glowing speck among the sky and his smile widened just a little. He turned to look at his friends before smirking, "We have a war to win."
Cable and Wade both nodded before they ran off and started to continued their fight with the aliens. Peter's also pretty sure that he heard Wade sing 'I'll make a man out of you' from Disney's Mulan.
Man he has not changed one bit...
Just then, Carol Danvers landed right in front of him. She looked at the gauntlet in his hands before she looked back up at his masked face, "Hi, Peter Parker." She said with a smug smirk.
"Hi, Carol Danvers." He replied with his own smirk.
"You got something for me?"
Peter handed over the gauntlet to her, "Good luck getting it passed all that."
Natasha and most of the women that were on the battlefield suddenly were in front of Peter but behind Carol, "Don't worry," Natasha said and Yelena finished her sentence for her, "She's got help."
Peter slumped down onto the ground in exhaustion. He needed a little break, only five minutes then he'd be back up and fighting off all these assholes. He watched as all the women charged forward and easily made their way through Thanos' forces with ease. Everything was actually looking pretty great for them.
Until it wasn't...
Because Thanos saw the gauntlet and went after Carol specifically. The women that were backing her up tried to help out but Carol was too fast and they were busy with the aliens. He watched as she swiftly flew past Thanos with no trouble at all, it was almost funny how powerless Thanos was against her.
But Thanos saw where she was heading, the van, so he threw his double-sided sword and it flew by Carol and hit its mark precisely, the quantum tunnel.
Her eyes widened in surprise before a second later the tunnel exploded, sending her flying away and the gauntlet in the opposite direction as her.
As soon as the gauntlet landed onto the ground, every hero scrambled up to try and reach the glove before Thanos did, including Peter. The first ones there were Steve, Thor, Thanos and Peter.
The youngest out of the group attempted to lunge at the weapon but he was picked up by his neck and thrown away by Thanos.
Steve and Thor attempted to hold both the mad Titan's arms down so he couldn't reach the gauntlet but to no avail, the Titan overpowered both Steve and Thor and knocked them out both while he turned and stalked towards the glove.
Peter watched on with growing fear, it wasn't really looking good for them at the moment.
But when he saw Carol fly back into the fight when Thanos was about to put it on, a smile grew on his face. Maybe they actually had a shot at this if she could get the stones back.
She punched him square in the face and continued to fight him until Thanos growled in anger and swatted her away like a fly. Peter's eyes widened in surprise, no one has been able to subdue Carol like that, at least not anyone who he knew about from her stories.
He's literally just seen her fly through a ship a few minutes ago.
Thanos, with the immediate threat now gone, turned back around and placed his hand in the gauntlet. He winced in pain as all the radiation started to pour into his veins. After a couple seconds he yelled out as the stones finally settled all the way onto his gauntleted hand.
Peter groaned and pulled himself up off the ground. With each passing second, it looked like he'd have to resort to plan B. It's not like he wanted to, but if Thanos snapped, it was all over. Someone had to end it and at this moment, Peter was the only one capable.
He'd do whatever it took to protect his family...
He would not lose anyone else if he had the choice.
But as he was about to bolt to the Titan, Carol flew back in and forced him on his knees with a quick punch to his face. Peter watched as Thanos grabbed the Power stone and let it rest in his hand, watched as the power bursted out of his hand and saw Carol's eyes widen.
Thanos glared at the woman before he punched her away, sending her flying off into some debris. She hit her head on a slab of concrete and was out cold.
Peter turned to look at Doctor Strange, who was already looking at him. His heart was pounding inside his chest due to all the adrenaline coursing through his body.
He had a suspicion now what the Doctor's look meant. Strange knew how they had to win, he knew what would happen, and he knew what Peter had to do to ensure that future for the rest of them.
Strange knew his name, his real name which also meant that he knew more about him than any normal person would. If he knew something that he has barely told anyone, than the man should know how he couldn't just let the villain win when he nearly did everything in his power to bring back half of the universe.
It wasn't in his nature...
He raised an eyebrow at the older man in question, asking the doctor, without words, if he was on the same page he was.
'Do I need to do it?...'
Doctor Strange shakily put up his pointer finger. His eyes held a somber look in them, his mouth set into a straight line. He nodded his head once while trying to keep the lake from drowning them.
'Yes, hurry...'
Peter could hear Thanos yelling in pain as he placed the Power stone back into the gauntlet, but Peter now knew what he had to do with 100 percent certainty, his last ditch effort.
Peter bolted over to Thanos...
He could see how his mother was looking at him with wide eyes but he couldn't focus on that right now, he had a mission to accomplish.
And he's never failed a mission twice, he'd be damned if that started now...
Once he reached the Titan, he slid underneath his legs and sliced at them before he got up and started to punch him in this face, dazing the Titan.
That's all the time he needed though for his right hand to quickly swipe across the stones and transfer them from the gauntlet to him. Once that was done, he placed his hands on the edge of the glove, acting as if he was trying to take the whole gauntlet but he had essentially already won, not that anyone but Strange knew that.
After he transferred the stones, Thanos quickly broke out of his daze and punched him away and Peter was sent flying back towards a pile of rubble. The young man watched as Thanos turned around to him with the glove held high in victory. When really, the Titan looked like a fucking moron.
As all this was happening, Peter's right hand on his suit retracted to show off his metal hand where the miniature glove was crafted into the hand, just incase. All six spots for the infinity stones were there with the press of a hidden button and Peter watched out of the corner of his eye as the stones moved into their places.
Thanos glared with as much hatred as he could towards the younger man, "I am... inevitable." He said. All the heroes watched on with fear laced in their eyes as the Titan brought together the pointer and middle finger of the gauntlet and snapped.
Everyone around the battlefield looked around in fear, waiting for all the dust to start flying like it did five years ago, but to everyone's shock, nothing happened.
It took a second for Thanos to realize that nothing was happening before he turned his gloved hand around to see all the pockets were empty.
Empty of the infinity stones...
It was almost comical to Peter how he saw everyone on the battlefield then turn to look at him. Thanos and everyone else saw that Peter was on his knees, his left hand grabbing onto a pile of rocks while his right hand was exposed to everyone there. They could see his metal hand and watched as the stones slid into place onto his hand.
As soon as they finally settled , Peter let the power surge through his body, not even making a tiny noise of discomfort, all he did was glare at the Titan when they were done.
All the power in the universe was at Peter's disposal, with just a snap of his fingers. He breathed through his nose once before he raised his hand up smugly and his smirk only widened when he saw the look of loss and shock on the Titan's face.
The loss that Peter had on years ago, the look he had when the bastard took his hand and stabbed him through the gut.
Peter could feel the power racing through all his veins in his body, could feel how much stronger it had made him. He now understands why none of them could beat him with this thing on, it makes you feel unstoppable.
He could hear his mother yelling out his name, telling him to stop. He could also hear some others call his name but he focused on his mother's voice, even if it was frantic at the moment. This would most likely be the last time he'd ever hear her, so he wanted to savor it.
As he was doing this he thought about what he wanted out of this. If he was gonna die for this, then he needs to make sure everything was right before he left.
'Destroy Thanos and his army...'
'Bring back all we have lost...'
'Bring Gwen back...'
He really hoped that last one worked, because technically speaking, if the soul stone required a soul, then he'd gladly give his soul saving the universe if his sister could come back.
No hesitation...
"Hi inevitable," Peter said with a smirk still plastered across his face, "Karma's a Bitch."
He could now hear all the Avengers scream out for him to stop, but he didn't pay them any mind at the moment, he couldn't if he wanted to make sure that they all lived.
He snapped his fingers and everything went white...
——————
As soon as she saw Peter with the stones, she knew exactly what he was gonna do.
And a fear like no other coursed through her body in that moment...
She tried to scream out his name, to tell him to stop, to set them down and let someone else, anyone else do it but he wasn't listening to her.
The one thing she hated about her son was how quick he was to put his own life in danger to save others...
She could have sworn that when she watched him snap his fingers, her heart broke into millions of pieces. She was blinded by the light for all of a few seconds before she bolted off towards where her son was.
She didn't pay any attention to the genocidal maniac who was sitting down and turning to dust, she only had eyes for one person at the moment and said person could be dying.
She didn't get to him first though, Tony and Rhodey were the first ones.
As soon as the two of them landed in front of him, they looked at each other in sadness. Peter was laying down, leaning against part of a ruined wall. His whole right side of his body was burnt really badly. They could barley recognize the man's metal hand. It didn't even look like a hand anymore, more of a mangled mess of metal attached to the end of his equally mangled arm.
God, they could smell the metal of his suit burned into his charred arm...
Tony looked down at the injured man in sadness. No one was supposed to die, that's not how these stories were supposed to go, the hero always won in the end.
Too bad that was a fantasy, and in the real world, it wasn't that simple...
Tony knew that all too well...
He kneeled down next to the boy and placed his hand down on his left shoulder, the undamaged one. He had a few tears in his eyes but he didn't care at the moment, "Underoos? Hey can you hear me? I-it's me, Tony...come on kid say something..." He practically begged him but Peter didn't respond, he was just staring off at nothing in particular, his eyes pointed up at the sky with a blank gaze.
Rhodey looked on in sadness, he couldn't believe after all this time, after all this effort that it'd end like this. If anyone of them had deserved a happily ever after, it was Peter.
But from the looks of it, he wasn't gonna get it...
The next group of people to arrive were Thor, Steve, Clint and Bruce. The four of them made a little circle around the young man and watched. They didn't know what else to do, they could tell he was still breathing but his breaths were shallow and slow. He wasn't responding to them and it was only a matter of time before the rest of his body would start to shut down.
Steve looked at the man with a somber look. First Gwen, now Peter himself. At the beginning of this, he had promised him that they'd bring everyone back and they'd live to tell the tale.
Steve had broke that promise...
And he'd never forgive himself...
Thor had some tears that were leaking out of his one good eye. He's never met a more noble person than Peter Parker himself. To be able to wield his hammer, let alone the infinity stones and not feel the pain.
You definitely had to be a special person to do that...
Clint didn't know what to think, Peter was like his nephew and to see him laying down all injured like this really hurt him. God, he knew Natasha would never recover from this.
Natasha...
It seemed that she was the last one to actually arrive at Peter, all the others standing back to let them have their moment with him. When she made it around the semi circle that was formed around him, she wanted to sob at the sight of her baby.
He was leant against some rubble, his whole right side burned to the point where it wasn't recognizable at all, not even his fake hand. His messed up hair was matted to his head, his right eye was bleeding and the right side of his head was all bloody from all his injuries. She could see the scars that were already on his arm from where the energy had surged up his body, but they were all open wounds at the moment and leaking out blood.
All she wanted to do was lay down and sob her heart out, she was finally given a chance to be a mother, then the universe swoopes in and takes it away from her.
She knelt down by his side and placed her hand over his heart. Tony decided to give her some time alone and rejoined the others, completing the circle around them.
She kept her hand on his chest, making sure he was still breathing and his heart was still pumping. But what happened next surprised them all. The young man suddenly turned his head to face his mother and looked her dead in the eyes before he smiled at her.
He fucking smiled...
And he was the one dying...
"Hey baby." She choked out with tears starting to pour out her eyes. She couldn't help it, she was basically watching her son die at the moment, she's allowed to cry at that.
For the others though, it was so surreal to see the great Natasha Romanov, known for her cold heart, to break down in front of everyone. Tony gently placed his hand on Natasha's shoulder to show her that she did have support too.
But she couldn't think about that right now, her attention was fully on her son, "Baby? C-can you hear me?" She whispered to him, hoping that he'd hear her through his daze.
It must have been her lucky day though because he moved his head once again and slight nodded his head, with that same smile still plastered across it. "Yeah." He whispered to her, just as quietly.
She didn't know what to do, they needed a doctor or something...she would not stand to watch the only good thing in her life die, it wouldn't happen.
"S-someone please, we need help, a d-doctor." She silently begged the people behind her, hoping someone would go and find someone. In the meantime though Bruce stepped forward to look over the young man while Steve called out in his com for a doctor.
Peter, throughout this, only kept his eyes on his mother, "Hi, mom." He said to her, only causing more tears to leak out of her eyes at the sound of his voice. It was so weak, it sounded like he was in pain and there was nothing his mother could do about it to relieve it.
If they didn't get help soon, the last thing Natasha Romanov would be able to do was comfort her son during his last minutes and say goodbye. That hurt Natasha, but there was still an ounce of hope that was in her body that was telling her that he could be saved, that he'd be alright if they just got a fucking doctor here quick enough.
She placed her free hand on Peter's left cheek, the unburned one, and Peter moved his head over to rest on her hand, leaning into his mother's touch. She watched as his hand slowly moved and he went to grab ahold of her hand that was still on his chest, gently grasping their fingers together.
He still had that smile on his face, the one that was so incredibly sad and excepting. He knew it was a possibility for him to die, and he was ready for it, just to save the universe.
But Natasha knew that he didn't do it for the universe, the main reason he did it was for his family...
"SCARLETT?," Natasha called out to the A.I. She hoped that the A.I can tell her whether or not his injuries were fatal. She hoped they weren't, god she wouldn't know what to do with herself if they were.
Since she has met Peter and bonded with him, became his mother, her worst nightmares weren't about all the bad she had done anymore, no...since she met Peter, all her nightmares are all about Peter dying, and her not being able to do anything about it.
Parents weren't supposed to outlive their children...
Children were supposed to outlive their parents...
When a wife loses her husband, she's called a widow...
When a husband loses his wife, he's called a widower...
When a child loses their parents, they're called an orphan...
But there is no words for when a parent, loses their child...
Because it is the most painful experience a person would have to go through, there isn't a word that can describe someone's pain if that were to happen to anyone.
And the Black widow is no exception...
To see Peter slipping before her eyes, made all the pain that she has ever been through, look like nothing to what she was feeling in this moment, staring at her dying son.
"Life functions, critical ma'am. I recommend immediate medical attention or..." the A.I didn't need to didn't her sentence, all the heroes understood what she meant.
"Peter," She ordered her son softly, her voice a lot more gentle than it was with anyone else, "Look at me." She wanted Peter to know that she'd try everything she could to save him, but incase he didn't make it, she wanted to comfort him in some way, so when he looked up at her, she offered one more tearful smile, "We're gonna be okay." She said, even if the words felt like acid on her tongue. This felt like giving up, like she was just letting him die but she needed to make sure that if he did die, she offered him one last goodbye.
She wouldn't be able to live with herself if she didn't...
Peter mumbled something underneath his breath but she couldn't make it out. She gently lifted his chin so he was looking at her again, "We're gonna be okay, I promise." He offered her one last smile before his eyes started to drop. It seemed like he had used up all his energy just to look at her when she was talking. His head started to become a little heavier in her hand as he stopped trying to keep it up, his eyes were drooping shut and there was nothing she could do about it.
As his eyes fully shut, and his chest became a little to still for her liking, there was nothing his mother could do except lay her head onto his shoulder and sob with her forehead buried into his neck, one hand still on his heart, and the other resting against the back of his head.
Behind Natasha, every hero knelt down in front of Peter, for the savior of their universe, the man who sacrificed everything to save the world.
But at the moment, she couldn't care, her son was right here, laying down against a piece of concrete and she couldn't feel his heartbeat, couldn't feel his chest move up and down, couldn't see anything that indicated life.
Natasha sobbed even harder into his shoulder...
But the moment was ruined a second later when an all too familiar portal opened up around them.
All the heroes got into defensive positions around the mother and son, willing to protect the two of them with their lives. But the person who stepped out wasn't a threat at all.
She was most definitely a friend...
Gwen came out of the portal a little confused, she didn't know why she was there. One minute she was falling to her death so her brother could live, and the next she wakes up in a pool of water and a portal just so happened to open up five feet away from her.
She looked around and saw that all the heroes where standing around in a semi circle around something, but she couldn't see who or what it was.
As soon as the Avengers saw it was only Gwen, they relaxed a little bit before they moved and made a path for her, wordlessly to her brother.
When she caught sight of him, she gasped and started to sprint for him. When she made it over to the two spiders, Natasha barely looked up before she was back on the young man's shoulder, sobbing her heart out.
Tears started to leak out of her eyes without her even knowing it. This couldn't be happening, she took the fall so Peter could live, so he could have the life he's always deserved. She didn't die just so he could reverse it and die too, that's not what was supposed to happen.
She wasn't even gonna begin to understand why she was back alive, because she had no idea...
Meanwhile, Natasha was still sobbing on her sons shoulder. That was until she thought she felt something...
She bolted up right and looked at her son with wide eyes. She thought that she felt his chest move just a second ago. Maybe it was just her wistful thinking but she swore...
Her hand suddenly moved up with his chest, just slightly but it was still there, his chest was moving up and and down again.
He was breathing...
"S-someone! Help please, he's still breathing!" She exclaimed in a hurry. There was still a chance to save him, he could be ok.
All the heroes around them bolted into action. T'Challa, Shuri, Okoye and Strange all stepped forward towards the mother.
"We can take him to Wakanda, hopefully we can help." The king said to the distressed mother. She quickly nodded her head and got up after placing one last kiss onto Peter's forehead, allowing the others to work.
"Someone needs to carry him." Strange said, not looking behind him. Steve walked forward after he heard that and gently picked up the young man, settling him into his arms.
After that, Strange led the way and opened up a portal that opened up into one of the hallways of the Wakandan palace. Steve quickly made his way through with Natasha not far behind, actually a lot of the heroes weren't far behind.
The vigilantes watched as they went through the portal with sadness laced in all of their eyes. They knew that they all shouldn't go and crowd them but that didn't mean they didn't want to.
"Colleen and I will go with them, we'll update you when we find out more." Danny said, already walking towards the portal with Colleen not far behind him.
Well, it was all a waiting game now, they couldn't do much of anything anymore.
Through the portal, Steve had just set Peter down onto a stretcher while Bruce, Strange and Shuri all walked along the stretcher with him, going to the operating room. Natasha tried to follow but Steve put his hand on her shoulder to stop her.
"They need room to work Natasha, you being there wouldn't help them help Peter." He said with a somber look. He knew how much she wanted to be in there, but they all wanted Peter to be ok, it would go a lot faster if they could focus on him, not a worried mother in the room.
Reluctantly, she nodded her head and sighed. She didn't like the thought of her son being by himself if he woke up though, she wanted to be right there with him.
But she couldn't...
Without another word from either of them, they walked back the the end of the hallway where the guards led them to the waiting room. The rest of the heroes already were waiting for them when they walked in and from all of their looks, Natasha knew that no one was gonna leave anytime soon.
It was gonna be a long night...
