Hero: critical roll
Ok so a few things people have asked will be answered.
D and D edition? Simply put it will be an amalgam of different editions but more of 5th than any since its what I'm most firmilular with.
Dwarf or gremlin Mei: ARE YOU MAD?! Mei is a pain in the ass as is in cannon imagine what would happen if she could make things ten times as fast and ten times as durable or take random scrap and make a cannon or something. Not to mention gremlin Mei is just a nuclear detonation waiting to happen.
Each chapter involves some sort of roll system that will be put in brackets [...]
Party initiative rolls will be at this time Person A perception vs opponent roll plus modifiers (such as suprise attacks, charges, height advantage/disadvantage ect).
Chapter 2: Sludge Villain
Katumsi growled lowly to herself as she booted a can as hard as she could. Next to her izuku was again writing in his notebook. A quick call to their parents to explain the situation saw Inko vowing to tie the teacher's shoes together on a molecular level and Mitsuki cackling like a mad woman as she started to plan another lawsuit. Mikashi, Katsumi's father, was heard in the background cancelling appointments on his own phone to help his wife much to Izuku's embarrassment.
"Shitty fucking extras, telling us what we can and can't do." Katsumi growled in anger. "They can all go take a swan dive off the roof for all I care!"
"Kaachan that's not very heroic." Izuku pointed out.
"Stop calling me that nerd!" She shouted. "My name is Katsumi not kaachan, we aren't in kindy anymore!"
"Sorry." Izuku timidly muttered back before they both froze at the sound of rolling dice. After a few moments nothing happened.
"Uh, [DETECT EVIL]?" Katsumi cautiously spoke. Her eye twitched slightly when the spell hilighted her but nothing else around them. "Shitty fucking spell."
Izuku snorted a light giggle at that. For whatever reason [DETECT EVIL] always seemed to hilight Katsumi and her mother, apparently Lawyers were just inherently Lawful Evil as were their kids.
"Fine. [DETECT MAGIC]." Katumi spoke clearly. This time Izuku's book began to glow as did his shoes. "Ok, enchanted endless notebook and unbreakable shoes, nothing new there."
"Hopefully whatever it was my quirk stopped it." Izuku shrugged as they continued on, passing through the tunnel that ran under the road.
There was a sound thud of something hitting the manhole izuku was standing on making him stumble slightly as Katsumi jumped into a fighting stance and pulled Izuku back.
[Roll resault: 13, manhole avoided]
Of everything they were expecting, giant rats, skeletons, lobsters or even spiders, a green slime with eyes being punched into the ceiling of the underpass tunnel by All Might wasn't it.
"So cool." Izuku awed.
"DIEEEEEE!" Katsumi screamed as she fired an explosion at the slime just as All Might pulled his fist back to make the second punch.
"DETROIT SMASH!" A massive burst of wind went through the tunnel muffling the sound of rolling dice.
[Check to pass: 11, Katsumi: 11, Izuku: 8, Slime villain: 10] Katsumi was pushed away only 5 feet but Izuku, slammed face first into the wall and blacked out. The slime villain slammed into the side of the tunnel hard enough from the combined explosion and All Might's punch that it burnt off 70% of its mass and knocked them out cold.
"NEVER FEAR FOR I AM-"
"SHITTY ASSHOLE BAKA!" Katsumi screamed as she dove forward just to slap All Might across the face. The buff hero was stunned as he blinked owlishly at the growling blonde teen. "Watch where you are aiming next time asshole! Your lucky his HP didn't hit zero!"
"Er...H P?" All might asked in confusion before noticing the teen knocked out and slumped against the side of the tunnel.
"His quirk makes it like a game of Dungeons and Dragons, I don't want to have to explain to aunti and my mum how he ended up with a new body after we just had to call them about those idiots at the school." Katsumi snarled as she jabbed her finger into All Might's side making him wince in pain.
"I am sorry bu-" All Might was once more cut off, wincing in pain as he was jabbed in the side by the enraged blonde.
"But nothing! You're supposed to be the number one hero not some moron like the flaming Turkey!" Katsumi snarled as she turned abruptly and crouched down by Izuku. "Fuck me, only 1 HP."
"That sounds bad. Perhaps we should get him to a hospital." All Might stated as he moved closer to check the teen.
"Oh no you are NOT touching deku." Katsumi snarled. "Even a slight squeeze at this point will kill him."
"Then what exactly do we do?" All Might asked. "We can't leave him here."
The sound of rolling dice was again heard making Katsumi shoot up into a defensive stance while All Might's head whipped around trying to find the sorce of the sound.
"What did the nerd's quirk just do?" Katsumi grunted as she eyed the three ways into the tunnel, both the ends and the sewer grate, for what could be next. A rumble drew closer causing both the hero and the teen to tense in preparation for a fight only for a car horn to beep loudly making them sweatdrop.
[Roll resault: 3, not good.]
The sound of pebbles on stone got their attention before a small chunk of cement, barely two inches wide, an inch long and a quarter of an inch thick peeled away from the ceiling, falling dead on Izuku's head. The color drained from the teen leaving what could only be described as a grey husk which fell into a pile of ash.
All Might stood there, mouth agape in shock while Katsumi's eye twitched in annoyance.
"Shitty fucking deku and shitty fucking quirk making my life a pain in the ass." The blonde growled in anger before the sound of dice was heard again. "Cover your eyes, this shit is bright." She snapped at All Might as she turned her head away from Izuku's ashes which were now glowing in a bright golden light. All Might squinted as he raised his hand to cover his eyes.
After a few moments the glow died down revealing a short scaled and winged female humanoid with a primarily green colouration to their scales in a tattered school uniform that no longer fit correctly. A spaded tail was visible through a tear in the back of the pants and their shoes were in tatters around their clawed feet.
"Of fucking course its the bloody dragonoid again." Katsumi cursed in anger as she slammed her wrist against her forehead. "Its that time of year again after fucking all."
"Um, beg pardon?" All might asked in confusion. "What just happened?"
"Whenever Deku there dies his quirk brings him back to life as a different fantasy species, how he was before as a human was the first time in months he was one, before that the nerd was a dwarf and before that he was a elf." Katsumi scoffed as she threw her blazer over the now dragonoid teen. "If you excuse me I have to get deku home and explain this shit to auntie."
"What a strange quirk." All might mused to himself before turning his attention to the slime villain who was still out cold. "Now, to get you to the police." He mused as he pulled an empty glass soda bottle from his pocket and got to work scooping to unconscious villain into their temporary container.
Katsumi grumbled under her breath as she carrier her unconscious friend down the main street of mustafu towards the housing district where her auntie lived. This had been a common enough occurrence over the years that it barely rated a pacing glance beyond curious people seeing what Midoriya turned out like this time. Occasionally they would even leand a hand to either Inko or Katsumi whenever Izuku ended up turning into a form that was larger than normal or difficult to transport by themselves such as the time he ended up as a centaur or when he turned into a warforged and required a forklift to move down the street after being struck on the head by a falling flower pot while he was a halfling.
A shadow passing overhead gained her attention as a blur shot above them. She scoffed and continued on only to wince in pain as something struck her left shoulder a split second before the sound of smashing glass reached her ears. She was slammed onto the street by something causing her to drop izuku on the sidewalk as she tried to pry whatever was on her away.
"A medium size invisibility cloak and a pretty one at that!" A wet voice gurgled out a laugh as a thick sludge wrapped around her arm and squeezed. She winced in pain as a explosion shot from her palm and hit the street sending rubble everywhere.
"FUCKING RUN!" Katsumi screamed as she tried to aim her free hand at the sludge which was now wrapping around her legs routing her to the spot in the middle of the street. Another explosion fired off, this one hitting a building causing people to snap out of their shock and start running and screaming.
With a snarl she clawed at the sludge while her other arm flailed about out of her control firing explosions using her quirk to cause havoc and destruction. It wasn't long before heroes started to show up, Kiyami Woods, Mt Lady, Death Arms and Hydrosis. Hydrosis was quirk to try and control the raging fires that were starting to envelope the street.
"GET OFF YOU FUCKER!" Katsumi screamed in anger as she continued to claw at the sludge.
"No way! You're my ticket out of here cutie." The sludge laughed. Revulsion cralwed you her spine as she sludge wrapped around her throat, cutting off her air supply.
"Kaachan!" A feminine voice called. Katsuki could barely see the dragonoid izuku rushing forward, flames seeping from her fanged mouth as she pulled a fucking morning star from nowhere.
Katsumi scrunched her eyes shut knowing it was going to hurt being hit with that. A second later the constricting across her body ended as the slime went flying followed by immediate pain across her chest as she felt two ribs crack.
"MOTHERFUCKINGDEKUBITCHIWILLFUCKINGKILLYOU!" Katsumi roared as she fell on her knees clutching her ribs.
"Drink up." Izuku barked back as a bottle of red liquid appeared in her hand which she tossed to katsumi, the blonde barely catching it before it hit her chest. "Ugly is back for round two."
"YOU LITTLE BITCH!" The sludge snarled in anger as it broke a fire hydrant and began to swell in size to that of a small bus.
"I'm pathetic." All might huffed as he shot forward from the crowd. "Letting two teens face a villain I had lost." He huffed to himself just loud enough that Katsumi and Izuku were the only ones to hear it. He pulled his fist back as he place his right foot back. "DETOIT!... SMAAAASHHHHHH!" The shock wave was imence, not only splattering the villain against the road across 15 meters but also causing the weather to abruptly change to rain dousing the fires that were barely contained by Hydrosis.
"Holy shit, now that's powerful." Katsumi uttered.
"He changed the weather with one punch." Izuku awed, her mouth falling open in shock.
"Now everything is under control I really must be getting this villain to the police." All might declared loud enough to be heard as the gathered crowd went wild. Kiyami Woods rushed over to the sludge villain, making a water tight wood prison to hold the sludge for transport while death arms and Mt Lady stormed right upto Izuku.
"That was incredibly reckless!" Death arms snapped. "You could of killed her with that stunt not to mention using your quirk without a hero's licence is illegal!"
"Hey! Lay off him you shitty extras!" Katsumi snapped. "They did more than what you ever did and he was concussed earlier you shitty extras. You all just stood there doing nothing!"
"Kaachan, its okay you don't have to." Izuku pleaded only for katsumi to snarl at her.
"IT'S KATSUKI YOU DAMNED NERD!" The blonde screamed in anger as sparks crackled in her palms.
"Sorry sorry." Izuku backed off with hands up in mock surrender.
"Hey, don't change the subject!" Mt Lady snapped at the two teens. "You two girls should be interupting us and what happened to your clothes?"
"Girls?" Izuku asked before looking down and deadpanning. "Why must my quirk do this to me?"
"Mating season." Katsumi deadpanned.
"And so long as I stay away from the dragon hero and remain female I will be fine." Izuku stated back bluntly and in a flat tone.
"Is this normal?" Hydrosis asked as he wondered over.
"For deku yes. His quirk likes to treat his life like dungeons and dragons, including species and gender swaps when his HP hits zero." Katsumi explained with a huff before grabbing izuku by the back of her collar. "Come on nerd we don't want Auntie to worry over your dumb ass any more than normal." She huffed as she ignored the heroes calling them to come back only to get swarmed by reporters cutting them off from the leaving duo.
"Kaachan, let me go~." Izuku wined. "I can't walk backwards that well."
"Then this is training." Katsumi retorted as she dragged him down the side streets that lead to where Izuku lived.
They were half way down the street when All Might jumped down from above infront of them.
"NEVER FEAR FOR I A- Blerk!" With a burst of steam All Might shrunk down to a anorexic man who spewed blood over the front of their clothes.
"AHHHH!" Katsumi shrieked in fright. "DRAUGR!"
"Pipe down, I'm not a drawer, why is furniture scary?" The man coughed more blood. "I really am All might."
"Prove it." Katsumi growled defensively as she tried to shove izuku behind her.
"[OBSERVE]." Izuku intoned. A popup box appeared infront of All Might.

"Young Midoriya, I'd like you to be my successor!" All Might declared.
"Say what?" Izuku asked while Katsumi groaned and facepalmed.
