Hello everyone! The Sassy Scorbunny here with a new chapter of Ash's Secret. And to clear up some of the confusion from the last chapter, I can't reveal anything with spoiling anything to big. Anyways, with all that out of the way, I hope you enjoy reading this first chapter. Now, without further ado, let's take flight.
The Dounsides of Evolving
Ashly, Go, Chloe, Dawn and Zoey had all decided to travel together. It was a big group but they made it work for them, Ashly had even convinced Chloe to try out a gym battle and a contest. They were now in the Univa Regan so they payed a visit to Professor Juniper's lab.
"Hello again, Professor Juniper." Ashly called ou happily, waving and giving the Univa Professor a bright smile. "Hello again, Ash. Who are your friends?"
Ashly smiled and pointed to each of her friends as she said there names. "The blue haired girl is Dawn, the brown haired boy is Go, the red haired girl is Zoey, and the purple haired girl is Chloe." They all smiled and waved to the Professor in greeting.
"Oh, and I brought a couple familiar faces," She then pulled out three Poke Balls. releasing the Pokemon inside came out in three flashes of blue light. "Snivy vi," A green snake-like Pokemon cried, its small arms on its hips and a sassy smile on its face. "Oshawott," A small otter-like Pokemon cried, a cute little smile on its face. "Pignight," A pig-like Pokemon cried, fire curling around its jaw and it crossed its arms with a wink on its face.
"Ooh, hello again you three. I see Oshawott is doing well, that's wonderful."
"They all learned some new moves at Professor Oak's lab," Ashly said, with a bright smile on her face.
"Wow! That amazing, now, what brings you back here?"
"Chloe needs to choose her first Pokemon," Ashly replied, glancing at the purple haired girl with a warm smile on her face.
"Now, you can choose your partner from among these three types," Professor Juniper says, pulling out three Poke Balls from a tray that was nearby. "The first is Tepig, a fire-type." A small pig-like Pokemon appeared in a bright flash of blue light. It smiled and blue a small burst of red flames. "Up next there's Oshawott, a water-type." The small otter-like Pokemon also appeared in a flash of blue light, with a cute little smile on its face. "Finally Snivy, a grass-type." And the small green snake-like Pokemon appeared in a flash of blue light, with its small arms on its hips and a sassy smile on its face.
"Hmm... Let's see... Who should I choose..." Chloe quietly muttered to herself, as she glanced between the three Univa starter Pokemon. "Have you decided who you will choose to be your partner?" Dawn asked, speaking up for the first time, as she watched the purple haired girl.
"This will give you a better idea," Ashly said, pulling out her Pokédex and scanning the three Pokemon.
"Snivy, the grass snake Pokémon. Cool, calm and collected, Snivy uses photosynthesis to collect energy with the leaf on its tail."
"Oshawott, the sea otter Pokémon. Oshawott attacks and defends using the scout-chop that can be removed from its stomach."
"Tepig, the fire pig Pokémon. Normally fire shoots out of its of Tepig's snout, but it shoots out smoke instead."
"I've decided," Chloe said, turning to Professor Juniper with a bright smile on her face. "I'm choosing Snivy," She says, smiling down at the green snake-like Pokémon, who smiled back at her.
"Here are your Poke-Balls, you can carry up to six Pokémon with you." Professor Juniper says, handing the purple haired girl a tray with five Poke-Balls inside. "And here's Snivy's Poke-Ball, take good care of it."
"I will, and thank you, Professor Juniper."
"Okay, we're all set. Come on, let's hit the road." Ashly says, and they all nodded and waved goodby to the prefacer as they left the lab. "So... Where to now, Ash?" Go asked, looking at the others for an answer.
"Let's just explore and see if there are any Pokemon we can find," Dawn suggested, and everyone nodded in agreement at her idea.
After a battle with Team Rocket, Scorbunny had finally learned Ember thanks to Quilava's training but shortly after evolving into Raboot, the Pokemon started to act strange and it was simply uninterested in everything.
And after Ashly was done fighting a trainer who had challenged her, Go seamed to have enough of Raboots behavior. It was understandable considering how aloof the used to be happy go luck attitude it had had as a Scorbunny.
"What's with your attitude? Raboot, I don't get why you're acting this way at all! Ever since you evolved, you've acted just like this. Like you just don't care. Nothing excites you, you won't high-five, and you refuse to look me in the eye! This kind of attitude has to stop! I don't understand it. Do you really hate me that much?" Go yelled at Raboot, who just turned her head away from him.
