Ash the Electric Nightmare
Dimensional Cracking

Rated: M (To be safe)

"Ash, Elesa," Specter turned to look at them as they walked through the route. He stopped walking and the two trainers, and their two friends stopped to look at him. "You both know the first gym is a rock type, right?"

Ash groaned, "I forgot." He facepalmed, Specter shook his head. "Great. We are going to have some trouble with the gym then."

"Then we will find away around our weakness!" Elesa declared. "We can use moves that are strong against the type!"

Specter chuckled at her enthusiasm, "That's the spirit." He took his hands out of his pockets. "I know a move that Pikachu and Emolga might be able to learn." He told the two with a small smile.

"Awesome!" Ash yelled at Pikachu with excitement. "You learned it!" Ash was beaming at his buddy who just learned iron tail.

"I did it!" Pikachu cried with a fist up in the air.

There was the sound of a rock breaking, both trainer and Pokémon turned their heads to see Emolga who just broke the rock and was celebrating with Elesa. She then quickly ran over to Specter who was laying against a tree to talk to him. By the time Ash and Pikachu they heard Elesa say "- you said you'll teach us how to use our powers."

"Alright, alright," Specter chuckled as he slowly got up from his nap. "I did say that didn't I?"

"You are picking it up fast," Specter leaned with crossed arms against a tree. He smiled watching Elesa using her powers, before him, Elesa's right hand had glowing gold markings that cover her skin shaped in a glitch light pattern. Her eyes glowed a deep golden as she was trying to maintain something in her two open hands.

Elesa just groaned as she focused on the metal sphere in her floating between her hands. It kept bouncing back and forth between her hands. The sphere seemed to be fighting its shape as sections of the surface got extruded out into flat bars.

Ceil watched Elesa struggle with her task, she crossed her arms. "What is this suppose to be doing?" She slowly looked at Specter.

"Teaching her how to control her powers," Specter said simply. "She has the natural ability to control the reverse world and anti-matter. What she is doing is manipulating the Reverse World layer about the object."

"…Right…." Ceil felt a sweat drop. She slouched, "Like how I can jump through time."

"Only more deadly," Ceil snapped her head up at the taller man, ire leaked out. "Which is why I gave her a very basic tasked."

"Like turning back time," Ceil looked at Ash who had been trying to fix a rock that Specter broke. Ash sighed as he stopped trying to take a rest.

"Pretty much," Specter said as he watched Ash take another go at fixing the rock that Specter had cracked in half. "Being able to see the future with Dimensional Scream is something that you have to really just learn trial by fire. There is no single way to learn how to do it on command." Specter's eyes narrowed a bit as he watched Ash focus on the rock. "Most of the time it is tied to an item. Like time gears."

Ciel did not respond, 'Like when we needed to hunt the time gears.' She thought annoyed. With her eyes in the shadows of her bangs, Ciel did not look back at Specter as she spoke. "We could only figure out where time gears were as our visions would only activate in locations of where time gears used to be."

Specter kept his arms crossed and nodded, "Yes."

"AHH!" Elesa's voice made them all turn to her, Ciel's face paled as she watched blood splatter out the back of Elesa's left hand. The Ball hot shot through her hand, Elesa was gritting her teeth with her eyes snapped shut. Ash stopped practicing with his powers to turn over and went white at the sight of her.

Instantaneously, Specter was already kneeling at her side. He grabbed her hand gently, as he did, the pain in Elesa's hand went away. Elesa slowly opened her eyes to see the edges of the hole in her hand glowed a light blue. Flakes of blood and flesh seemed to fly back to her hand, time appeared to be rewinding as Specter held her hand.

Ash watched from his spot next to Elesa, Pikachu jumped up onto his shoulder. He looked at his buddy before he looked back at Elesa. Her hand was completely back to normal. "That's what I trying to learn!" He exclaimed as Specter watched a surprised Elesa, she was looking over her hand.

'No pain… my hand it's back!' She thought as she gazed at her shaking hand, she slowly turned it over.

"Specter! You should have never tried to teach her!" Ciel yelled at the adult. She was fuming with her hands balled into fists.

Specter did not bother to look back at her. "Sadly, with what she can do. There are not completely safe one. This one just had minimum chance of it going bad." He stood up and looked over to Ash, "Yes, that is exactly what you can do in the future." He told Ash who nodded. "What I did was rewind what happened back before her injury." He said putting a hand in his pocket, he held out his right hand to the side to catch the metal ball. "So it never happened."

Elesa looked down for a minute but then looked up, "I won't make the same mistake again." She declared.

"Don't worry about it Elesa," Specter smiled as he put the ball away. "Mistakes happen. We all learn from them. Fail till you succeed."

Emolga came out from Ash's legs to jump up to Elesa's shoulder. "Elesa! I was so scared!" She cried as she rubbed her face into Elesa's cheek.

"Hey, I am fine," Elesa smiled at her pokémon with a small giggle. "Specter healed me."

'I did the same thing to Pikachu and Alicia,' Ash suddenly realized as he recalled the end of his fight with Chi. He turned to look back at the rock.

Specter smiled as he watched Elesa and Emolga interact, "I think we trained enough," Specter spoke up, drawing Elesa's attention. "Ash we ar-" He stopped talking suddenly as he saw the rock that been sowed back up with a grinning Ash right next to it. "Well that was fast," Specter blinked before he chuckled. 'Of course he would be able to do it so soon.' He thought as memories filled his mind. This was Ash, he always learned how to do things fast as he got older. 'His ability to learn only skyrocketed.'

Wet, Ash and Pikachu suddenly felt a bucket of water soak them from head to toe. The two boy's shivered before Ash chattered his teeth, "Alicia! That is not funny!" He suddenly called out to his friend, the girl was silently snickering, hiding her mouth behind her hand as she stood a little way down the route.

"Well that was sudden," Ciel spoke up, blinking at the sight. 'And feels almost unnecessary.' She turned to look at Alicia who was taking some heat from Ash and Pikachu.

Specter chuckled, "She is a real jokester." Rolling his head, he looked over to Elesa, "Come on, I think we waisted enough time here." Elesa nodded and glanced at Emolga before she followed behind Specter who went over to Ash so they could continue their travels.

The group made their way out of the path into Pewter City, "Awesome we are here!" Ash beamed as he bolted out ahead of the group. Alicia was right behind him, "Time to get our gym badges!"

Elesa looked around, "So this is Pewter City?" She asked. "It's not a city, where are all the skyscrapers?" She looked over to Specter.

"Skyscrapers?" A new yet familiar voice came from a building right next to them. Elesa turned to her right to see an Officer Jenny standing there, "Honey there are none here, you would have to go to HopHopHop Town near Celadon City to really find any." She smiled kindly at Elesa who nodded.

"Alright," Elesa said.

"What pokémon is that?" Officer Jenny asked pulling out her pokédex to scan Emolga who was standing on Elesa's shoulder. All she got was no data found on the pokémon.

Elesa glanced at Emolga, "This is Emolga, she is my starter. She is an electric type from Unnova."

The officer nodded and then turned to look at Specter, "Watching over some kids?" She took a glance at Ciel who was standing on the other side of Specter. "Parents don't trust them as trainers?"

He chuckled, "Sort of. Watching over Elesa and her friend. This one." He thumbed at Ciel, "Just started to follow us."

The officer slowly nodded, "I see."

"Hey guys!" Ash's voice drew attention to the excited trainer. "I found the Pokémon Center and where the gym is!"

Looking away from Officer Jenny, Specter said, "Guess we better get going. Looks like these trainers are really eager," As he said that Elesa hurried over to Ash to follow him to the pokémon Center. Officer Jenny smiled as she watched Specter walk away to follow Ash and Elesa with Ciel.

"They did amazing," A older teen spoke to Specter, Ash and Elesa just got their first badge. The Rock badge from Brock, the Gym Leader was standing with Specter in the center of the field. "Overcoming their Pokémon's weaknesses."

Specter chuckled, "True." He nodded, he had both of his hands in his pockets.

Brock put a hand to his chin, "I never expected his Pikachu to know a steal move of all things."

Specter smiled as he glanced over to Ash and Elesa who were celebrating along with Alicia.

"Where did he get the idea?" Brock asked.

"I told him about the move," Specter informed the young Gym Leader. "I reminded him that this was a Rock gym."

Brock hummed as he heard that, returning his hands to his sides. "I see, well you helped them a lot. You must have a lot of battle experience for someone young."

Specter let out a chuckle, "Oh I am order than I look, and you are one to talk, I heard you are only 16." The mysterious male pointed out.

"I had to mature fast."

"I can see why," Specter turned to look over to kids in the upstairs balcony. "Must be hard, if you have to stay with them instead of being able to chase any dream."

"Well I always wanted to be a pokémon breeder," Brock admits.

"A breeder you say?" Specter put a hand to his chin. 'Just like the one I know.' He then looked into Brock's eyes. "I have a question." He stated. Brock nodded. "Do you know of any electric pokémon breeders? There are a few pokémon that Ash and Elesa are after." He thumbed at them for a minute. "If you know anyone that you could point us to that would be great."

"Sure, I can look into some people I know of," Brock nodded with a smile. "I know of an Eevee breeder, they could both get a Jolteon." He informed the male.

'That and an Umbreon for Ash,' Specter told himself. "Thank you," He thanked the Gym Leader, "I know they both are after an Eevee. Ash would want two, one for an Umbreon." He told the leader.

"Isn't he an electric trainer?"

"Electric and Dark." Specter explained.

Brock rose an eyebrow, "That is an interesting combo. Not a lot of good combos with that type pairing."

Specter just shrugged, "Well those are his favorite types." He smirked and glanced over to Ash and his friends. "So even if you tell a kid they are not a got tag team type. They'll still go for it." He said with a chuckle. "Thanks again for the help, we better get going or we won't ever leave."

"Nice to meet you Specter," Brock said his goodbye with a smile. "Hope we bump into each other in the future."

Specter chuckled before he left with the two kids. "You never know."

Ash and Elesa just dropped off their pokémon with nurse Joy and were witting on a couch with Alyssa. Ash paused as he felt a ripple go through his body, a slight blue outline covered himself and his two friends, a thin blue crack formed behind them. Then Ash felt himself facing backwards, the world torn and a ripped a window frame like hole in reality for the three to fall back into.

"Ahh!" Ash and Elesa yelled as they fell into a white and gray world made of stone.

The crack in time sowed back up before the three that landed on their backs.

Ciel sighed as she walked back I to the lobby of the center. She looked around and cussed mentally 'Where the fuck did they go?!'

Ash groaned as he slowly got up off the cold stone ground, he stretched cracking his back. Turning to his left he saw Elesa doing the same, he was about to say something to her but he yelped, "Alicia!"

Elesa turned to see Alicia hugging her best friend's left arm tightly.

"Hey! Stopping hold my Ash!" Elesa yelled at Alicia.

Looking confused at Elesa, Ash rose an eyebrow. "She is just scared Elesa."

Elesa blushed, "Oh… well." She started to hide her dying blush. "Where are we?" Elesa asked nervously looking around.

"The Time Dimension," Ash answered instantly without missing a beat.

Elesa looked back over at Ash, after looking through what was an endless stone channels. It was just a flat drop off into the bottomless trench, while on the opposite side was a massively tall stone wall. "I don't like this place. How are we going to get back?" She asked looking back at Ash.

The entire place had blue glowing time gear and gear shapes and patterns engraved in the stone. Small grooves ran the edges of the pathway that the three stood over.

"We need to either tear a hole time into our dimension where the three dimensions overlap," Ash explained. "Or find a rift that leads to our dimension."

Elesa nodded, "Alright." She waited and let Ash lead the way through the vast dimension. Looking around there were trees and other plant life growing out of the walls or floating platforms from time to time. But everything but them, the glowing blue lights was completely gray scale. While from time to time they would find some running water, it was almost always frozen in time being completely grayed out.

'This is not what I thought the time dimension would be like,' Elesa thought as she looked around.

'We're not in a flow zone,' Ash noted as he walked. More of his memories from Darkrai entered his mind. They came to a stop at a corner of a t junction, while the trench sides had the carved in patches that they were walking on, only the two walls across from them had a stone bridge connecting them. "Looks like we have to go around."

Ash then saw Alicia's face, "Hey you know I don't know how to levitate like Darkrai can yet. Even if I wanted to I wouldn't be able to carry you two."

Elesa turned to look at Ash to say something but Alicia beat her to it when an 10LB weight fell down making a small crater before Ash's feet.

"Hey!" Ash exclaimed, "I wasn't call you two fat! Or heavy!" Once he said that the ten-pound weight faded out of existence. The two girls just stared at him with deadpanned expressions.

Elesa just groaned, "Whatever…. Let's find a way out of here." She threw her hands in the air before walking around the corner. Ash and Alicia exchanged looks before following their friend.

Taking the lead of the three again, only after a little bit of walking a chill went down their spines. Ash's face had turned white with the familiar symbol of a time gear glowed in his eyes. His body coated himself in dark misty shadows, his eyes glowed blue before she reached out to his sides to pull both girl's into his sides. The three got blanketed by shadows and sunk into the floor, literally seconds before a flaming steal claw swung horizontally into the wall. A time Growlithe just barely missed its targets by the skin of its teeth, flames flickered our of its cybernetic metal body.

Gasping for air as the three emerged out from the shadows over a wall, sweat dripped down his nose when he fell down to his knees holding himself up with his hands.

"W-hat?" Elesa gasped, her face was always pale while she leaned over with her hands on her knees. "Just hap-pened?"

"A time bea-st," Ash stammered slowly regaining his color.

Elesa whipped her head over, "Wait… one of those things!" Ash nodded and Elesa paled slightly gulping.

Getting onto his feet, Ash looked around the new area slowly. The three were right before an open door frame in a hallway that he moved them to. Taking a step through the frame he entered a massive chamber that had tons of massive stone pillars. Coming out of the pillars was a light blue glow out of the carvings in the stone.

But that was not what drew Ash's eyes, it was what he saw in the center was the familiar sight of a time gear. His mouth dropped at the sight of the metal gear, his friends noticed the gear and exchanged shocked looks with each other.

As he slowly walked over to the gear, he saw that the gear was floating over a gear shaped raised floor with glowing blue light that flowed up from the center hole. The light flowed up in a river like movement as it went up to enter a small upside-down pond that fed into the groves that channeled the flowing essence of time through.

Looking back down at the gear, Ash slowly walked closer to the gear.

"Stop," Ash froze, his head snapped to the left to see a time beast walking over to them. A Lucario, like many of the other time beats, it two was made some kind of silver metal. Like Tiam, his body had glowing blue lines that ran over his metal body. Ash watched the Lucario walk over to the wary kids. "What do you think your doing?"

"Collecting time gears," Ash slowly answered. Eyes stared over the beast, he waited for he the calm time beast to reply. His two friends gulped when the beast stopped right before them.

He softly smiled, "I can tell." He looked at Elesa and then Alicia who flinched, 'Interesting.' He looked over to Ash, "But I can't let you take it."

Ash dipped his head, Elesa cut in front of Ash. "We're collecting time gears to save the world!" She announced.

The beast looked at him and then chuckled, "I see. Do you even know what the time gears even do?" He probed.

"They keep time moving," Elesa answered, "And controls time."

The beast softly smiled, "Partly." He paused, "How about we talk?" He suggested.

The three blinked, "Talk? Don't you want to fight us?" Ash asked, 'He's not like Time.'

The beast shrugged as he scooted the three kids away so he could sit between them and the time gear. "Of course, I rather learn why you think you need the time Gears."

"I can see the time cracks," Ash explained, and the Lucario jolted slightly. "The cracks in the sky keep growing, we need to time gears to fix and prevent them from growing." The beast dipped his head,

The Lucario grew concerned, "That can't be the case. We would see the time cracks in the Time Dimension." He referred to the dimension that they were all currently in.

"But it is happening," Elesa argued.

The Lucario softly nodded, "Time won't break on its own compared to dimension and anti-mater. Those change and get ripped. But those two won't break on their own. The only way is that time can break if the Time gears are harmed or the chrome Time Gears are removed from their pillars."

Ash's head dipped as he listened to his. More memories of Darkrai's filled his mind once again. "But someone did harm them." He said, making the Time Guardian look at him. "The pillars are being broken," Ash said, "Even the chrome ones."

The beast flinched at his words, 'How… They are almost impossible to break!' Recovering from his shock, "If so, if the gears are removed. The moment time will start to break in the covered area."

Elesa looked at Ash, 'Come one Ash! You have a way!'

Ash stared at the beast, "Just one person needs to have the gears to keep it running." He argued.

'A person could be?' The Lucario beast pondered. "I see then." He paused before having his arms crossed as he spoke. "Then I need to tell you some things," Lucario said slowly. The three kids looked at the time beast in confusion. "Us beasts can sense other reality energy users like you here," He pointed at Elesa. "You're an anti-matter user like the Anti-matter beasts."

Elesa slowly nodded at his words, "Yes I am." She then asked, "Can we sense others?"

He smirked at her words, "Of course. Since you are intending to collect time gears then you'll need to be able to do that." He looked over to Alyssa who flinched and hid behind Ash.

'Great! How are we going to learn how to do that!' Elesa complained. A light bulb went off, she perked up turning to look at Ash. "Ash didn't you do that a few times?" She asked.

Ash replied looking back scratching the back of his head, "I didn't it was a dimensional scream."

Right then the Lucario jolted in place, 'Wait he can actually do a Dimensional Scream?' His eyes locked onto Ash, 'He's so damn young.'

The two continued to talk he paused waited to

"Take this," Lucario tossed a stone gear at Ash to catch in his hands.

Ash's eyes widened as he caught the time gear, "Hold on! I thought you couldn't give up a gear!"

He chuckled, "I had a spare, the stone gears can't control time like a Chrome Time Gear."

Ash nodded happily at his words, "Right."

Right behind the three kids a portal opened up, the sponging blue Vortex startled the three. "This time Portal will take you three right back to where you where before you feel in." The Lucario time Guardian said.

The three kids looked at each other and at the portal, Elesa was the one to ask. "But won't we just end back in here?"

"Same place but not time. Shouldn't be more than a day's different in your world." He shrugged.

Ash went to stay something but Alicia grabbed her friends by their collars dragging them through the portal.

As the portal closed, the Guardian turned around crossing his arms. "Time is falling apart…" He rubbed his forehead "Fuck. I got to go talk with Shi."

When the portal opened for thee three, it was in the middle of the night. All three fell out, Elesa landed on something that felt soft, she blinked and saw that she was laying right on top of Ash. She blushed, "Sorr- AH!" She yelped when Alicia slammed into her back.

There was the sounds of footsteps and a flash of light, Nurse Joy stood there confused before snapping. "What do you three think your doing?!"

Alicia and Elesa got off of Ash, they looked at each other unsure what to say, luckily Ash quickly spoke up. "Sorry, a psychic Pokémon teleports us here." He smoothly lied.

Nurse Joy blinked but nodded, "Don't make them angry and wait a minute. You three, your friends were looking for you all day. You're Pokémon are all healed, luckily you came with your friends otherwise I would have to hold your Pokémon."

Ash nodded, "Thank you Nurse Joy."

"Let me get your keys so you three can join them back in the rooms," Nurse Joy yawned before she walked over to get some keys behind the desk.

Hi… sorry it's been so long. Its just every time I try to write it when I want. I can't get anything out. Like at all and it sucks. This was hard to get to come out right. Even now I am not the most happy with it but hey. I am content enough with it. Mostly cause I do not want to abandon this, hopefully I can get more soon. But….. I am not sure. I still haven't written out the plot completely, detailed wis, still got the end goal in mind just need to fill out the in between but I got ideas atleast.

Nor cam I happy about the ending but I needed to end it even if abruptly. Anyways, I will try to write more sooner and I still got to plan out some things. Mostly just general details of what will happen and when. Also I think I am going to go and do some edits on past chapters. Mostly to clean it up. Shouldn't effect the story.

So anyways, please go comment/review this with your thoughts, I really want to hear your honest opinions and thoughts. THAT really helps me want to write more.
