A/N: I forgot to mention this but Subaru can use magic without chanting (Sage Bullshit). Well, grab some popcorn and a drink of your choice and enjoy.
Boring.
That was the only word Subaru or now Alcor could come up with to describe the last two months he spent with Otto.
Apart from teasing Otto and the occasional one or two customers with interesting stories, nothing interesting happened.
But that didn't mean those two months were wasted, he had managed to get some valuable information such as what happened to some of the Emilia camp members after he died, and where he was buried.
'Elior Forest, and of course it had to be guarded by Emilia and Beatrice!' He groaned just at the thought of it, why was his luck worse than Otto's?
He had plans regarding his old body, but now that he knows Beatrice and Emilia are going to be there, he needs to think of another way to steal himself.
He can't just walk in there and take and just say, "Hey guys, I know it's been a while but I'm going to need my body back!" He doubted that they were going to hand it over just because he needed it, especially Beatrice.
"Ahh!" He groaned, "This is painful." He whispered to himself as he made his way back to the village. He was taking a walk and may have or may not have fought with some Wolgrams just for the hell of it.
'Nothing wrong with keeping their numbers in check.' was the excuse he used but in reality, he just wanted to blow some steam.
Alcor got to the village and as he expected, Otto was about to head over to the capital to resupply. By this point he had memorized Otto's schedule. A smile split his face as an idea on how to solve his boredom popped into his head.
He had been avoiding going to the capital with Otto whenever he offered because he didn't want to run into someone like Reinhard that could call his bluff with ease, but it's not like he could stay in the village forever.
Reinhard was a knight so he probably had duties to attend to meaning a meeting between them was close to nonexistent plus it'll be a way to get rid of his boredom even if it was temporary.
He approached Otto with the most innocent smile he could muster. "Heeyy Otttoo." Alcor said, trying to mimic a cute tone, getting Otto's attention but deeply disturbing him in the process.
Otto had suspected that Alcor was somehow related to Subaru but the last two months confirmed his suspicions. Alcor, from his behavior and speech patterns alongside a dash of Subaruism here and there, was a carbon copy of Subaru.
Otto didn't know why Alcor would deny being related to Subaru. But he knew of Subaru's intense hate for the Witch Cult and speculated that the Witch's Cult might have attacked Subaru's village and killed his family but Alcor miraculously survived but was left with memory loss.
"Your back! I was just about to head over to the Capital to resupply, take care of the shop for me, Alcor-san." Otto replied to the "innocent" boy.
There was no way he was going to call Alcor innocent after the events that took place two months prior and his recent "date" with the witch beast of the forest.
"Can I go with you?" Alcor asked, ignoring what Otto just told him.
Otto, who had his back turned on the boy, locking up his shop, froze for a moment before slowly turning to said boy. "You want to come with me?" he asked, confused by the boy's sudden interest.
He knew Alcor would get bored easily but whenever he offered to take the boy with him to the capital he would just avoid it entirely by saying that he had something to do. He had a bad feeling about the boy's sudden interest.
"Yep, it's boring here! I want to go see the big city!" Alcor responded with enthusiasm, a lot could happen in 5 years and he wanted to see who the new Queen was.
He couldn't just go around asking people for common knowledge, that would spark suspicion and he wanted to keep a low profile. Kind of hard when you look like "The Hero" but "It's just a coincidence" seemed to work pretty well
At first, he assumed it was Emilia since they had built statues of him but that was quickly proven false when he heard that the Queen was loved by the people. He doubted that they would love a half-elf just because she was the Queen and her apparent abandonment of the hero that saved Priestella would've also been a major blow to her popularity.
He suspects the Queen to be either Anastasia or Priscella since Crusch was cursed by the corrupted dragon's blood. And even if she did recover, she would've had a late start due to Gluttony and as mentioned, the dragon blood. Pair that with Felix's part in his death and major competition in the form of Priscella and Anastasia, she had close to no no chances of winning.
He considered it to be Felt for a moment before shutting it down. She was a "slum dweller" and would've needed to do something HUGE to win, and even still the nobility would have done everything they could to sabotage her.
Seeing the excitement in the boy's eyes, Otto sighed in defeat, "Just promise you won't make a scene."
"I can't promise anything. I am a proven liar after all!" Alcor said as he got on prompting Otto to raise a brow.
'Proven liar? Where have I heard that?' Otto wondered as he too hoped on and took the reins and they left the village.
The ride consisted of teasing Otto and small talk until reached the Capital in a few hours and immediately went to the market area.
"Stay close by or else you'll get lost." Otto said, without bothering to turn to face Alcor, who had already disappeared into the crowd.
When he got no response, Otto turned to where the boy was seconds ago only to find… nothing. Otto immediately went pale, as if he had seen a ghost.
"AHHH! WHERE DID THAT LITTLE DEVIL RUN OFF TOO?" Otto panicked, 'I knew something like this would happen!' He thought as he was about to return to his carriage, "Hey mister, that note fell out of your pocket." A little girl said pointing to a note on the floor.
"Oh thank you for that." Otto said, 'Wait a minute, I didn't have a note on me.' he thought as he picked up the note and read it, 'I'll meet you at the church nearby at 10! -Alcor' he internally squealed as he crumpled up the note and put it away in his pocket.
"I bet he's freaking out about now!" Alcor giggled to himself, "At least I left the note." He said as he wandered the Capital, a smile plastered on his face.
But before long, Alcor came across a clothing store that caught his interest. On display was an outfit that consisted of an orange scarf, black trousers tucked into lighter brown boots with black lacing, a black shirt that matched the shade of his trousers, a light brown buttoned blazer worn atop the shirt that ensured that only the shirt's collar was visible, a brown belt matching the shade of the boots, and an open green jacket.
Alcor was currently wearing a plain white shirt with black trousers that were too big for him. 'it doesn't hurt to get new clothes, plus it looks like it's made for travel.' he thought as he entered the store, he was planning on leaving Otto once he got some funds anyways. He had lots of things to do and staying in the village wasn't one of them.
"Welcome to Lined with Oran…" The voice got weaker as Alcor turned to face the familiar female voice that welcomed him.
She was a beautiful girl in her late teens with long reddish brown hair that extended to her waist and with a red ribbon tied around her head forming bunny ears and cyan eyes, her mouth wide open with shock.
'She seems familiar. I wonder why?'
"Subaru?" She whispered as tears formed on her face. It was then Subaru realized who he had just ran into and his eyes widened. 'Petra!' He thought while trying to keep a poker face.
'Is it him? Has he come back? Why does he look like a child?' Petra pushed those questions to the back of her mind. Those questions weren't important right now.
"No, I'm not Subaru." He said. Snapping back to reality she quickly wiped her tears away and bowed, "Oh, sorry about that." She said, "You just reminded me of someone dear!" She quickly explained.
'Of course, he isn't. Subaru's dead, you were at his funeral. But he looks so much like him, is he somehow related to Subaru?' She wondered.
"Are you somehow re-" Petra was about to ask the burning question she had when, "It's just a coincidence!" He quickly shot her down in a monotone tone, "I've been told I look like him." he added.
"Oh." Petra whispered sadly before she asked another question, "Are you lost? Did you somehow get separated from your parents?" she asked the boy.
At the mention of Parents, Alcor got the long forgotten urge to scratch his arm again. His parents that he loved so much, that he didn't deserve, that he left behind, the same parents he never got to tell how he truly felt. He regretted many things regarding his parents but the thing he regretted most was leaving them on a bad note.
Just thinking about what they must be going through because of his disappearance pained him. Ever since he accepted them back in The Sanctuary, he wanted them to forget about him and move just as his friends did, but deep down he knew it wouldn't be that easy for them.
Fighting against his urge, he responded with, "I don't have parents" his tone a mixture of sadness and regret.
'He's similar to Subaru in more than one way. I wonder if he's from the same homeland as Subaru.' She was tempted to ask further but thought it was best to hold it in and not scare a potential customer.
She pushed those and many others regarding the boy to the back of her head. She had a feeling they would meet again sometime in the future, maybe then she'll get the answers she's hoping to find.
When they conducted a search party to find Subaru's family for his funeral. But unexpectedly each search they conducted came empty-handed which led them to suspect that his village along with his family might have been destroyed by the Witch Cult.
It would certainly explain his hatred towards them.
If the boy truly was related to Subaru as she suspected, she shouldn't scare him off, he'll never open up to her that way. She wanted to know more about Subaru since he was so mysterious when he was alive.
No one knew anything about him or his homeland that he would always speak about.
"I came here to buy that." He said pointing to the outfit that was on display. Petra turned to look at what the boy had pointed to then looked back at him. "I see, I'll have it ready for you Suba… um… What's your name?" She asked with a warm smile, "Alcor, no family name." He responded with his own smile.
"That'll be 10 silver coins, Alcor-san." She said as Alcor got out a bag of coins and handed her the amount she asked for. "Thank you, I'll buy more the next time I come around." he said as he walked out with a bag full of clothes.
The boy reminded her of her hero more than just appearance, when she talked to him she felt as if she was talking to Subaru himself and not some kid that looked like him. As Alcor left, a small smile appeared on Petra's face.
After that, Alcor just continued to wander until he came across statues. And not just any statues, they were statues of him and they totaled 3.
'So this is what that bandit was talking about.' He thought, ever since he arrived at the capital he had heard people gossiping about him and now he realized why.
The statues were extremely detailed to the point they started to creep him out. They captured some of his proudest and most embarrassing moments.
There was one with his classic pose, 'now that I look at it from a different perspective, this is really embarrassing!' One where he was riding Patrasche with Rem during the subjugation of the White Whale, 'Damn I look cool.' And when he was getting knighted by Emilia. '...'
As Alcor studied the statues, a hand grabbed him by the shoulder and forced him to face his assailant. Alcor was about to get in a fighting stance but when he saw that it was a knight, he stopped himself.
Alcor's eyes widened, 'Julius? What happened to you?' He wondered, nothing about Julius screamed elegance like it once had.
He smelled of alcohol, his once neatly arranged hair was disheveled and dirty, his uniform had stains on it, his eyes, though they shined with hope, had dark circles under them, and he had a stubble beard.
"S-SUBARU!" He exclaimed with joy, tears forming. "YOU'RE STILL ALIVE! I KNEW YOU WOULDN'T DIE JUST LIKE THAT" He said joyfully.
"Subaru, I am so sorry, please forgive me!" Those were the words repeated by a man torn by the weight of his sins and regrets.
The one who was once known as the greatest knight was reduced to a miserable drunkard who walks aimlessly in life, without a soul in his eyes and a reason to continue.
His pain and remorse were such that he tried to take it away by drowning in alcohol, trying to dispel the voices that reminded him of his greatest sin, being responsible for that person's death.
The one who he considered as one of his friends, the broken smile on the boy's face on the day of his death was something that haunted him to this day.
No matter what he did or where he went, he could never escape from the demons that haunted him. His sins would never allow it.
A crowd had begun to form due to the commotion created by Julius.
"Isn't that the Fallen Knight, Julius Juukulius? And who's the kid next to him?" a raccoon demi-human in the crowd questioned, "Now that I look at the boy, he does look like the Hero." Another said, "But the hero is dead and the boy is just a child." A woman stated, "Maybe he's somehow related to the hero?" A little girl chimed in.
The crowd continued gossiping, but neither Julius nor Alcor paid any mind to them, lost in their thoughts.
'Wait, why does he look like a child with white hair?' The more Julius looked at the boy the more he began to fear that this might not be Subaru.
"Wait… why do you look like a child?" Julius whispered and his excitement slowly faded, his eyes started to lose their shine, being replaced by regret.
"I'm not Subaru and my appearance is just a coincidence!" Alcor defended with both of his hands raised, "I have no relation to the hero Natsuki Subaru!" Alcor claimed loud enough that the whole crowd heard.
'No Way! But he looks exactly like Subaru…'
"But that can't be! There's no mistaking their similar appearance." A demihuman man said, "Maybe this is a coincidence?" A woman said, "A COINCIDENCE?" A man laughed, "The boy looks exactly like the hero with the only exception being his hair color." He continued, "What are you getting at?" A demihuman woman inquired, "I'm saying the boy probably has memory loss! The witch's cult did something to him, I reckon." The previous man stated.
"Y-your joking right? Hahaha, you always did hate me so it makes sense you would want to mess with me! " Julius laughed only to be met with cold eyes.
"Natsuki Subaru is dead, mister. I'm not him." Alcor coldly deadpanned, piercing into Julius's golden eyes with his own.
Julius was taken aback by both the boy's venomous gaze and tone but desperately scanned the boy for any signs of deception only to be met with none. Julius started softly shaking, as his face became coated in sweat.
"But even if you aren't Subaru, you must somehow be re-" Julius tried to refute but was cut off, "I already told you I have no relations with Natsuki Subaru. Now if you have nothing else to say to me mister, I'll be leaving now." Alcor said as he walked past Julius and made his way through the crowd.
Julius was left devastated, not only had he failed Subaru but he also harassed a child that may have been connected to him.
He truly was a failure of a Knight. "Honor and chivalry my ass." He whispered under his breath.
He turned back to the boy, "La" he whispered as he held up his hand and a little red ball of mana appeared. "Follow this boy and don't let him spot you. If he spots you or something bad occurs, return." He ordered.
He had a feeling something bad was going to happen to the boy, he wasn't going to sit around and do nothing as he had done with his fri- no, Natsuki Subaru. He lost the right to call that man his friend the moment he forgot him.
As the spirit went into pursuit, Julius began to walk to his favorite bar. After meeting the boy that looked so much like the man he failed, his nightmares were sure to intensify. He needed something stronger than the usual to make him forget his failures.
As Alcor resumed walking around aimlessly, he sighed before going into an empty alleyway. He could feel the gaze of 3 people following him since he had left Petra's shop.
They hadn't made a move until now so he didn't think much of them. But now that they decided to follow him into an empty ally, assassins he figured.
They did a good job hiding their presence, so much so that even Julius couldn't sense them. But unlike Julius, Alcor had trained with people that could hide their presence so well that they seemed non-existent. Compared to that, this was child's play. It was about time he met them anyway.
"Do us all a favor and come out! I don't know why you're following me and frankly, I don't care but it's about time you told me who sent you." Alcor said as he dropped his bag of clothes and a man from above him burst into laughter.
"See Klein, I told you there was something special about this kid! He was able to sense us!" A man said as he jumped down from the rooftop and 2 others joined him shortly after.
As Alcor and Julius parted ways, on top of a building afar, a trio, 2 males and 1 female, watched the interactions between The Fallen Knight and their Target with amusement.
The female was a beautiful young woman with pale skin, medium-length blue hair and green eyes, and an amused smirk. She wore a green and blue dress with a ribbon above her exposed cleavage and black stockings.
The man standing beside her was tall, well-built, had ashen gray hair that reached his shoulders, green eyes, a scar on his left eye, an excited smirk, and bloodlust slowly oozing out of him. He wore a cloak that barely hid the black vest that was over his white shirt and a pair of tan trousers.
The other man was older and just a bit shorter but was burly with scars all over his body, short messy orange hair, a stubble, and was sitting down, tossing one of his daggers up and down with a bored expression. He was shirtless with sand-colored linen trousers and bandages wrapped around his wrists.
"So that's our target? Keke, I hope he isn't weak." The ashen man said with excitement in his voice, "The last target wasn't even good enough for a warmup!" he added, disappointment in his undertone.
"Since Mama personally wanted him dead, there might be something special about him. Who knows, he might be strong like you said." The woman said, prompting the man's smirk to grow before he burst into laughter.
"The wait is killing me!" He laughed, "I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you, Charles!" The orange-haired man said as caught his dagger and looked up to face the gray-haired man, Charles.
"He's just a kid that barely looks to be around 12. I doubt he could even hold a sword properly," he stated emotionlessly. "On the flip side, this'll be a quick mission." he added.
Charles's smirk got replaced by a frown. "You're no fun, Klein!" Charles's body drooped as he monotoned and turned back to face Klein. "But as Mina said, Mama did personally want him dead so there must be more to him than meets the eye." He countered with renewed vigor.
"Looks like we won't have to wait long to find out!" Mina said and both men stopped their bantering to look back at their target. They watched as Alcor walked into an alleyway.
A smile slowly split into Charles's face. "Let's just make this quick." Klein said before jumping off the building with Charles and Mina following behind.
"Why are you in such a rush?" Charles asked before gasping, "Don't tell me..." he put a finger on his chin and pretended to think, "You actually managed to find a date??" He exclaimed with shock as they arrived on the rooftops of the buildings above the alleyway. Klein was about to deny him when another voice interrupted him.
"Do us all a favor and come out! I don't know why you're following me and frankly, I don't care but it's about time you told me who sent you." Their target called them out, exciting Charles.
He burst into laughter, "See Klein, I told you there was something special about this kid! He was able to sense us!" he said before jumping down from the rooftop with Mina and Klein following.
"Who are you three and why were you following me?" Alcor asked emotionlessly as he studied his stalkers.
As he questioned the trio, he caught a glimpse of a glowing red ball escaping the scene with panicked movement from the corner of his eye. 'La!' So Julius did send a spirit so keep an eye on him.
Charles grinned, the boy was so young yet the aura that surrounded him felt old, ancient even and it sure as hell was powerful. But his aura wasn't what intrigued him, it was the boy's eyes.
They were cold and dead, a sure sign that he had been through hell multiple times, yet he stood, not a scratch on him. He was definitely a strong opponent.
"Who we are doesn't matter. You won't live long enough for it to mean something." Klein said as he got his daggers and was about to charge but stopped when he felt a hand on his shoulder.
"He's mine!" Charles said with a smile in an ecstatic tone as he walked towards the boy, sword in hand.
"Bu-" Klein tried to stop him but, "Just stay back and watch! Let me enjoy this." Charles said as he tossed Alcor his sword.
Alcor was surprised by the chivalrous gesture the assassin was displaying. "Oh, I didn't take you for the righteous type." Alcor deadpanned as he took the blade. "What are you going to use?" He asked.
"Don't worry about me." He said as he pulled out a second sword hidden within his cloak, "I just like to enjoy myself." he said as he closed the distance between them in an instance.
Alcor's eyes widened with surprise, 'He's strong! He's on another level compared to those bandits!' He swiftly lifted his blade and barely deflected the assassin's side slash, cutting off strands of his hair, and used his left hand to block the follow up kick.
"I knew you were strong but this is great! You were able to deflect my slash and block my kick without a scratch no less! I'm impressed, kid!" The assassin praised the boy with a grin.
"Compared to that pervert, your swordsmanship is mediocre at best!" Alcor stated nonchalantly and Charles raised an eyebrow.
'My swordsmanship is mediocre? I gotta fight the guy he's talking about.' The assassin thought.
"Who's this "pervert" you're talking about?" the assassin asked curiously. From the way the boy spoke of him, he was a powerful swordsman. 'Maybe that guy will finally satiate my thirst for battle.'
"Don't worry about it, he's already dead!" Alcor responded as he used magic to enhance his physical abilities and closed the distance between them in an instance.
Alcor then slashed vertically but the assassin blocked then grabbed Alcor's sword, holding him in place. He then twisted his body and performed a back kick, forcing Alcor to let go of the sword and duck to dodge the kick. Alcor followed up his dodge with a punch aimed at the guts but the assassin took the opportunity to slash Alcor's arm. The wound wasn't fatal but it sure hurt like hell.
"This is exhilarating, kid!" The assassin said as he tossed his sword back to Alcor, "Show me more of what you can do!" He said as he dashed towards the boy.
When the boy was within striking distance, the assassin thrust his sword and as he did, Alcor dropped his sword. He then used the back of his wounded left hand to redirect the thrust and hold the assassin's arm at the same time as he engulfed his right hand with a coating of fire magic and slammed it on the assassin's stomach.
The assassin coughed up blood and his 2 companions were shocked that the boy not only was able to keep up but also managed to land a hit. Only one thought came into the minds of the 3 assassins: Just who is this kid?
Though he wasn't the strongest, Charles was far from weak so for a boy whose balls haven't even dropped to be so evenly matched with someone who underwent training for knights and had experience as an assassins was frightening. They now understood why Mama wanted to get rid of him, he would become dangerous if left be.
"So you could use magic, and without chanting." Charles croaked through the pain. "Alright, that's enou-" Klein tried to assist but was denied once more. "I said this kid is mine." Charles said as he turned to face Klein.
Klein knew how much Charles liked to test his strength but at this rate, it'll get him killed. The boy just proved that he wasn't one to underestimate, so for Charles to still act so stubborn was infuriating.
While they continued to argue, Alcor took the opportunity to heal his arm, he could sneak attack but he was certain he wouldn't be successful. And even if he was, he'd still have 2 more to fight with an injured arm putting him in the disadvantaged.
"Fine." Klein sighed in defeat, "but as soon as things go south I'm stepping in! I don't want to be punished by Mama for your stupidity! " he added.
'Mama? Why would Capella want me dead? I haven't done anything noteworthy yet.' Alcor pushed those unnecessary thoughts to the back of his head, he could question them once they were restrained.
"That won't be necessary. Despite throwing away my cape, I still follow the chivalry code when it comes to a duel!" Charles exclaimed.
Alcor's face turned to that of shock. He didn't expect the assassin to be an ex-knight. Though it was not impossible, it was just so improbable that he didn't even consider it.
Despite failing to save his younger brother and countless others in The Watergate city of Priestella, he still wanted to help the people of the kingdom… That was until he encountered her.
Cappella was the most vile creature he had ever encountered. He hated her with all his being. The way she would hurt innocents without a second thought, her methods, and especially her tortures.
How fitting for the most repulsive creature to have the most vile authority.
After meeting her, he was subjected to countless tortues and in most of them, she would take the appearance of his kin. He didn't know how she got a hold of such information but he was truly disgusted and that disgust turned to hatred.
That was also around the time he got obsessed with power. If he had power, he would finally be able to dispose of her. He fought countless battles, killed countless innocents, all in the quest to either achieve power.
He attempted to seek out the sword saint whenever he was sent to the capital for a mission but the fear that Capella induced would stop his advances. Even if the sword saint was powerful, even he wouldn't be able to kill the unkillable.
That was when he threw away both his cape and name and dawned the name Charles. He didn't want to disgrace his family any further.
"Back to topic…" Charles said as he turned back to face Alcor with a smile forming. "That was impressive. Tell me, kid… where did you learn to fight like that?" He asked, not noticing the wound's on his arm fading.
"Now that's a trade secret!" Alcor said as he dashed towards the assassin, picking up his sword from the ground mid dash.
'He's faster than before!' the assassin thought as, "Ul Dona" he slammed his hands on the ground and erected a wall of stone in an attempt to slow down the boy's assault, but instead of slowing down, an amused smirk appeared on Alcor's face.
He raised his left hand and concentrated an El Goa, creating a ball of flaming destruction with power comparable to an Ul Goa. He then shot it at the wall with incredible speeds, destroying it on contact.
But that wasn't enough for the ball to dissipate, it kept traveling towards the assassin, who barely managed to dodge.
"What the hell was that attack?" The assassin asked as he parried a slash. In all his time as both an assassin and knight, he had never seen magic like that.
The longer the battle raged on, the more the assassin felt an unsettling feeling loom over him. It felt like he was faced to face with the emissary of death itself.
He might have enjoyed a good deathmatch but all his instincts were telling him to end the boy as fast as he could. But instead of fearing the boy, a genuine smile crept into his face.
This was it. This was the type of fight he was looking for. Even if he were to die, he'd fall honourably and would be set free from Capella after a nice exhilarating battle.
"Don't worry about it!" Alcor simply answered. "It's not like you'll live long enough for it to." He mocked, using the same line one of the assassins used earlier.
Despite not showing it, this whole battle was extremely taxing on Alcor. Despite having a large mana pool, his body was not strong enough to spontaneously handle both the mana he was expanding and the high speeds he was traveling.
He was purely running on adrenaline at this point and he needed to end this fast and the best way to do that was…
Both the assassin and Alcor dashed at each other and a back fog suddenly swallowed the alley.
The assassin stopped due to his vision being blocked but Alcor continued his march and stabbed the assassin in the heart.
"Ghuk" The assassin spits out blood and as the fog dissipates he looks down to see that the boy had pierced his chest."I think it's about time for your long awaited rest." Alcor said empathetically.
Despite being enemies Alcor still held empathy for his foe who, knowing Capella, was most likely warped into what he was now.
The unnamed Knights lips curved into a genuine smile.
"Thank you. That was a satisfying duel." He said hoarsely as he fell, "Wait for me just a bit longer… Shin." He whispered as he hit the ground.
"That's one down." Alcor said as he directed his attention to the remaining duo in an attempt to scare them off, he couldn't take them on with the amount of power he currently held.
He was lucky that his previous foe insisted on being honorable but that same luck was running dry fast.
"You're in no state to continue." The woman called out his bluff with a smirk. Though she was shocked by the talent the boy held, but it was clear that he was reaching his limit. He was only human after all.
"What makes you think that?" Alcor inquired as he dropped to his knees. 'Not now of all times.' He thought as his consciousness started to fade.
"CAPTAIN!?" As expected, a familiar voice yelled in a voice full of worry from behind Alcor. But unexpectedly it wasn't Julius but instead…
Alcor turned to face the owner of the familiar voice, a young man in knights uniform running towards him with a furious expression.
He had a head of short, combed back gold hair and deep and sharp jade coloured eyes. Feline like fangs that clearly showed his demi-human heritage, and a big X scar on his face.
"Garf?" he whispered as the last strands of consciousness slipped through his fingers.
Another A/N: This new chapter would've been finished days ago if I wasn't a lazy fuck. And I am also going to be a bit slow on the updates since my laptop broke halfway through and I had to finish this on my ipad.
