Love,

Was that the word he was supposed to use?

He had heard it many times, but-

Had he felt it,

He remembered, as distant memories echoed, his time in his own world, no.

To think such thoughts would truly drive him into a more depressed state, so if love is to be associated as the opposite of his dwellings, then he would find another word, one of which he could admire,

"ah that's it, admir-Admiration"

What he saw in this girl was not love, but admiration,

And if she had come to save him, truly

If someone as worthless as him is to be seen by an admirable person, then just maybe, he can have hope.

Chapter two: Love me to love yourself

He ran, he wouldn't stop, just what had he done!

The boy cried out

"I, no, I couldn't have! That wasn't me!"

Tears streamed down the face of a black-haired youth, running through the busy streets, his shoes covered in blood, he would run, run to escape that horrifying sight.

Subaru Natsuki, a boy from another world, was running from himself.

"What the hell did he do, was that really him, this is nothing like those crappy light novels!"

"where's the cute girl who summoned me here? Who the hell is brought to another world and is given a power like that!"

The boy kept running…

Now receiving glances from all around, it was a sight to behold,

"a lost boy" some thought

"is that guy mad" others would say

"Maybe the kid fucked up some way?"

All were correct in there own sense.

Natsuki Subaru was all alone, all he could do was run.

"Damn it"

The boy began to think to himself.

"crap, oh god"

"What the hell do I do? There's got to be some form of policing in this city, guards, knights even"

The boy began to full out panic

"the way I look, the way I'm acting, I'm super fucking conspicuous, if someone were to figure out that I did that then-"

What he did…

What he did was unimaginable. The pure sight would have brought Subaru to his knees had it not been for his kick of adrenaline.

Slowing down, Subaru came to fully realize what he had just done, he had murdered someone, but worse then that the way he did it-

Subaru fell to his knees, unable to stop the surge of vomit coming out he move to the side as far away from the city path as possible.

A few minutes past before Subaru brought himself up, gaining the looks of humans and demi-humans alike.

"The way I did that- I didn't even mean to"

The boy with tears in his eyes mumbled on

"that guy, he-"

"he was a good guy too-"

"and I, I, all I did"

Subaru could feel nothing but guilt, for him the physical world was nothing, only he existed in his troubled state.

"my my, what a pitiful existence, and here I am, such a lovely lady deciding to walk among these filthy pieces of meat, only to be met with a disgusting sight. However, this is to be expected of such animals"

Subaru hated that voice, he couldn't recognize it at all, but it had such a vile and disgusting tone to it, if Subaru hadn't already puked, he would have vomited at the mere reference.

Subaru turned to face the holder of such a disgusting voice. Expecting a rich stubby noised aristocrat but was faced with…

"A little girl!?"

To that, all the girl could do was smile

In a small alley way in a large capital,

Emilia had quickly disposed of those thugs

"what brutes"

The half elf added as she was healing the poor unconscious boy

"From all I could tell this guy was caught between a rock and a hard place"

Her furry little companion Puck, added

"Honestly, robbing someone is one thing, but going as far as to knock them out unconscious, to think there's people like that…"

The half-elf wasn't furious or anything, but disappointed, if she were to become king, she promised to herself to stop events like this from ever occurring

"just remember Lia, we don't want to waste to much time on this guy, just make sure he's back up and we can get out of here"

Her contracted spirit added

Emilia once again grounded in the reality of the situation, nodded

And with the slight cough from the boy, both contractor and spirit looked to each other,

Time was of the essence.

So, boy were off to a start, next chapter were going to get all our introductions and niceties through the way and then we can finally get to the good stuff.

The main goal of these shorter chapters is to build up suspense, as you can see, I'm trying to write a chapter each day, there not long so I really appreciate the patience
