Warning: I'm an Anime only so most of the lore may be wrong or changed in this story(maybe ı would even forget lore given by anime too sometimes ıdk). So ı'm sorry for those. This story will not focused on og lore and will probably have it's own.

Another thing that might turn you off is that my native language is not english so if there are writing mistakes or something like that ı would love for you to tell me where are the mistakes so ı can fix them. Other than that ı hope you enjoy this story :D

Part 3: Mansion

Subaru and Emilia were following the sisters to the mansion. Most of the walk was silent with Ram occasionally watching over this new people who she sees as either danger or two idiots. She didn't cared anyway. Even if they are danger or not she wanted to use them to escape from her owner with her sister. At least a way to make her sister escape from him.

Subaru: So-

Ram: Shut up.

Subaru was thinking how this Ram was even more angry in nature. She felt emotionally unstable. I guess she calm down more when she grew up. Tho right now what he cared about was Rem. She was here alive again. And he was so happy about it.

Emilia on the other hand was confused about Rem. She did forget about her once but suddenly all the memories she had with her came back. She was happy about it too but also an another memory came to her mind.

Emilia: Su-Subaru can we talk a bit?

Subaru: Of course what happened?

Emilia whispered to Subaru. Her face went all red when talking about it.

Emilia: Wh-what Rem and ı did when we got drunk?

Subaru: Wait Emilia-tan you remember Rem!?

Emilia: Yes… But ı remember all the things ı knew about her now and… Subaru you…

Subaru: I… But you two were so cute at that time!

Emilia: Subaru you idiot…

Ram: We are here.

Ram knocked the doors of the mansion. The one who opened the door was a blonde haired girl who seems to be similar in age with Subaru and Emilia. She had a mouth with monsterous teeth.

After Subaru saw her teeth he directly looked at Emilia. Both smiled to each other while remembering an old memory.

Blonde girl: Hi my name is Frederica. A maid in Lord Roswaal's mansion.

Subaru and Emilia realized how much she looked like one of their freinds Garfiel who is her little brother. Her Hair seemed messy compare to how she looks in the future.

Subaru was the first person who greeted her. He pointed his finger to the air.

Subaru: My name is Natsuki Subaru! Nice to meet you!

Emilia awkwardly copied him.

Emilia: Nice to meet you! My name is Emilia!

Ram looked annoyed by their greeting while Rem was confused about it.

Frederica: So these were the people you looked for all day huh Ram? They seem nice.

Emilia/Subaru: Huh!?

Ram started blush.

Ram: You know what my intentions were…

Frederica: Haha ı know. She wasn't sure if you guys should join us or not. I mean of course it's Lord Roswaal's decision in the end but Ram mostly looks for people who wants to work before him.

Subaru: So… can we meet him now?

Frederica: Wait for a while with the them in the mansion. I'm gonna report to Lord Roswaal.

Emilia: Sure. Thanks Frederica.

While they were entering the mansion an ominous being was watching them from the window.

Ominous being: Hmm… This should be iiiintresting.

There was again a silence between Emilia, Subaru and the sisters.

Subaru: So what you two cute girls doing in your free time? Playing games, Drawing. Hey ı may join too one day!

Ram was irritated by this guy. She wanted to stay silent until he shuts up. Rem was interested but she copied her sister's behaviour.

Subaru: I guess you two are little shy hehe. Come on ı thought kids always love to talk.

Ram: You came here to work not get friends so shut your annoying voice up.

Subaru: Wow you are harsh… So why did you watch us? I mean we would've liked you to take us in here earlier but it still seems you want something from us.

Ram: Hmm…

Subaru: Well ı guess we can't work here if we don't know we can trust people who is here. Right Emilia-tan?

Emilia: Yeah. I mean we can't work here without trust.

Ram started to get angry.

Ram: Fine! Do you wanna know why ı'm intrested in idiots like you? I don't care if you can work good or not or you are actually from witch cult and wanna ruin Lord Roswaals plans or not. I want to just run away from this place with my sister.

Rem: Sister…

Subaru: I… What is he doing to you?

Ram realized in anger she talked too much about her feelings.

Ram: Hmm…

She was scared that they would run away now because of what she said. Her plans were failed because of her temper.

Subaru knew how much bad things Roswaal may doing with them or did to them. Subaru couldn't let that bastard get away with it. But also he thought How childish Ram's plan was. She probably doesn't even think about what they will do after running away.

Emilia also was thinking what might Roswaal did to them but she she stayed silent for the time being.

Frederica: Lord Roswaal wants to speak with you two.

Subaru and Emilia started to walk to Roswaal's room but before they go Subaru looked at Ram and Rem.

Subaru: Don't worry. I will help you.

Ram and Rem looked confused. Ram thought they would go away after about what she said. They might think this place is dangerous and run away or think that she was lying and go to Roswaal like that but he said he will help. Ram didn't understand if he meant what he said or not.

Subaru and Emilia were going to Roswaal's room.

Emilia: Subaru what are we gonna do?

Subaru: What do you mean?

Emilia: I… I wanna help Rem and Ram too but… ı never thought about what we are doing right now. Aren't we changing the future?

Subaru: Hmm…

Subaru started to think about it as well. If they continued like this even if they went back to their time it will not be the same.

Subaru: Yo-you may be right.

Subaru and Emilia didn't know what to do. They both now had the chance to change things. But should they do it?

Emilia: But… maybe if we change it you might…

Emilia hold Subaru's hand.

Subaru: Emilia-tan?

Emilia: Subaru we can save her.

Subaru: What are you saying?

Emilia: I won't let you feel bad for Rem anymore. We have a chance to save her. And after what Ram said we both know we can't look at them same anymore.

Subaru: But Emilia, Puck?

Emilia: I… Yes but… I have hope. I know that we can still find him. We can find a way to go to our time but we can change enough stuff here to make everyone happy.

Subaru: I…

Subaru wanted refuse. He thought he would be selfish to stay here and let Emilia stay too just because of himself but he had a chance again. He could save Rem maybe even make her and Ram's life better.

Subaru: Le-Let's go then.

Subaru and Emilia was in front of the Roswaal's room's door and Subaru knocked the door.

Door opened. They saw Roswaal was sitting in a chair reading a book.

Roswaal: Very very intesting.

Roswaal put the book away.

Roswaal: You must be Suuubaru and The Witch of Elior Forest. What was youur name?

Emilia: E-Emilia.

Roswaal: Emilia... such a beautiful name. Such a tragedy that people see yooou as a monster. But ı guess you seem to find a friend.

Emilia: Y-Yes…

Emilia remembered the first time Roswaal came to find her. She was extermely happy that some one other than Puck wasn't scared of her and his promise of saving people on Elior forest did also made her even more happy but after all that happened seeing this old Roswaal wasn't really a good reuniting

While they were speaking Ram was thinking about what's happening in there.

Rem: Sister…

Ram: Yes Rem?

Rem: D-Do you want to run away from Lord Roswaal?

Ram: I… I was just angry at this new people. You don't have to worry about it Rem.

Ram gave a small smile to Rem.

Rem knew something was wrong but she stood silent.

Rem: O-Okay

Ram wanted to go and look what's happening with Subaru. She stood up.

Rem: Sister?

Ram: I will just look if Lord Roswaal needs anything from me.

Meanwhile with Subaru and Emilia.

Roswaal: Soooo what you would want from meeee? From what ı heared you two wanna work for me. Am ı cooorrect?

Emilia looked at Subaru.

Subaru: I… I have one question.

Roswaal: Hmm… Sure you can ask me.

Subaru: Ram and Rem… Why are they here?

Roswaal: What did you say?

Subaru: They are small kids why are they working with you?

Roswaal: Hmm… You are an intresting person Suuubaru. Well their clan was destroyed in young age and ı saaave them. Now they work as a maid. Did ooone of them said something?

Subaru clenchs his fists. He knew that he did something and hurt them. He wanted to attack him but he knew that he is too powerful. He remembered the spell he was in when they beat him in sanctuary but he wasn't sure if he still had it. Roswaal said even with RbD it would still work but does this count or was he lying. He didn't know.

Emilia: What if we do their work?

Subaru: Huh?

Roswaal: Their work?

Emilia: Yeah. Let us do the jobs you gave to Rem and Ram.

Subaru: Yes we will work for you and do all the duties you gave us. And you will stop making Rem and Ram your maids.

Roswaal: HAHAHAHAHA!

Subaru: Stop laughing! We will work for you! But you will stop using Rem and Ram.

Roswaal: Alright then. Suuubaru-

Subaru: Your way of talking really started to annoy me.

Roswaal: I will let yooou work here but I'm not letting Rem and Ram go. They will still work here until ı believe you can replace them. Deal?

Subaru and Emilia couldn't risk it. They accepted the offer. And shake his hand.

Subaru: I will protect those two from everyone including you.

Roswaal just gave a small smile.

Roswaal: Your work starts tomorrow.

Subaru was angry. Emilia hold his shoulder.

Emilia: Let's just leave here.

Subaru: Al-Alright.

Subaru and Emilia left the room.

Right after they left it they saw a running figure. She quickly hid herself but Subaru and Emilia ran to her. And found who she was.

Emilia: Ram?

Ram: Hmm…

Subaru: What are you doing here? Were you listening us?

Ram: I… I was…

Emilia: You shouldn't secretly listen people!

Subaru: …You sounded like a mom.

Emilia: Huh?

Subaru: Nothing. (That was so cute)

Ram looked at Subaru.

Ram: …Wi-Will you really gonna do what you said th-there?

Subaru: Huh…

Subaru looked at Ram. She looked like she was holding her tears. Subaru bent in front of her and looked her face.

Subaru: Of course. Of course we do.

Ram: But wh-why?

Emilia patted Ram's head.

Emilia: You looked for help. Why would we say no to that?

Ram: I…

Ram quickly turned around and hide her face.

Ram: Th-Thank you… Barusu and Miarie.

Emilia: Huh!?

Subaru: (I guess somethings never change…)
