Chapter 6 Crazy Justice

"Hey Leone." said a woman waving to Leone.

"How ya doing, want to get a drink with me later." said a guy waving at leone who waved back.

"It's lively here," said Tatsumi as he and Leone walked through the slums. Tatsumi had enough on his mind, so when Leone mentioned she had a job to do, he went for it so he could get his mind off of his love life or possible love life. "You seem to be popular around here, Leone."

Leone waved at a few people. "Well this is my home, born and raised. I made a name for myself working at a massage parlor. I can show you som-"

"LEONE!" Tatsumi and Leone turned to see several men running at them. "You need to pay your drinking bill and pay your gambling debt."

"And give back the money you stole from my brother."

Tatsumi turned to his companion. "Leone…"

She slowly scratched her head. "Well time to run." as she began to run at slow speeds to give them men just enough distance to keep them away. "Catch me if you can boys."

Tatsumi on the other hand jumped to the rooftops. "Well it looks like she's having fun, with her speed she could out run them with ease." As he watched her lead them on a game of cat and mouse. "I guess I'll explore the slums a bit and meet up with Leone later." Tatsumi was about to jump away when he felt something after activating his En Tatsumi felt a faint Nen energy source. 'What is that?'

Tatsumi jumped across the slum towards where it met the city where he saw a girl running through the streets, she had long Auburn hair, amber eyes and was wearing a guard uniform but what caught Tatsumi attention was the thing she was dragging on a leash, a plush looking creature that somewhat looked like a dog.

The girl stopped. "What this my justice sense is tingling, something is nearby Koro." She tried to pull the leash but couldn't. "Koro we need to mov- WHO ARE YOU?!" she screamed as she turned and saw Tatsumi holding Koro in his hands, staring at it intently. "Uh excuse me, uh," Tatsumi didn't even notice her as he continued to peer into the creature's eyes that seemed to stare back at Tatsumi. "HEY!"

"HUH? Who are you?" asked Tatsumi, just noticing the girl.

"THAT'S MY LINE!" as she grabbed Koro away from Tatsumi. The second the creature was in her hands it came to life moving on its own. "Who are you and why did you grab Koro?"

Tatsumi gave her an innocent smile. "Oh I'm sorry, it's just I'm so fascinated by that creature of yours, I've never seen anything like that on my travels." He said but on the inside he was trying to rein himself in. 'What the hell was that? I was planning on taking the creature by using Zetsu and some speed but the second I grabbed the thing, all of my instincts were screaming at me not to activate my nen. It looked at me waiting for me to activate my nen.' Tatsumi decided to slowly let some of his nen leak out and instantly Koro stiffened and turned towards Tatsumi. 'Yep he reacts to nen, that could be a problem.'

The girl noticed Koro look at Tatsumi. "Huh he's never done that before, now that I think about it he doesn't like others picking him up. You must be a person of justice as well." as stars appeared in the girls eyes. "That's why he likes you. I'm Seryu Ubiquitous, its always a pleasure to meet another person of justice."

"Uhh thanks, I'm Tatsumi." He said deciding to be friendly for now. "So what is that, is it your pet?"

"Oh no, Koro isn't my pet, he's my partner. The Teigu Hekatonkheires, don't worry though he's completely harmless to all those who don't embrace evil." she said holding out the bio weapon.

'Fuck! We knew these things were Nen weapons and react to Nen but this one is living in a way. It might not just react to its user's nen but to the nen of other people. This girl might not have nen but this thing might be an issue we might have to deal with here.' Thought Tatsumi. "So is he like standard issue for guards around here?"

"Oh no, there is only one of him but he didn't like any of the higher up so they started asking for volunteers from some of the guards in the lower ranks." she happily explained.

'She has her guard completely down right now. I could try and kill her quickly before her partner could-' as if reading his mind Koro slowly leaked Nen out surrounding him and Seryu. 'Crap.'

Seryu tilted her head. "Is something wrong?"

"Oh no everything is just fine." he smiled. 'Well atleast I can confirm that this girl can't use nen or else she would have noticed her being covered with it.'

Seryu was happy to meet a new friend but duty called. "I'm sorry but me and Koro need to get moving, we have to continue to protect the justice of the city."

"Yeah sure no problem, you take care." as he waved goodbye to Seryu as she ran off, Koro stared back at Tatsumi. "That thing is going to be a problem."

Back at the Night Raid HQ Akame and Bulat just got done with a conjuration lesson with Sayo. "So Akame got anything in mind that you want to conjure."

Akame thought about it for a moment. "I'm not sure."

"Well you guys got some time. This isn't something you want to rush." said Sayo as they made their way to the kitchen. "Now how about we get something to eat." As they entered they saw Ieaysu, Najenda and Lubbock eating. "Oh hey guys you done with your Emitter training?" Najenda and Lubbock nodded. "Ieyasu you didn't cut any corners did you?"

"No I taught the whole lesson, sheesh I only cut one class short once."

Sayo smiled. "I know I'm just messing with you."

Bulat sniffed the food. "Mmm That smells good, what is that?"

"Leftovers from last night." said Lubbock

Akame then noticed some people were missing. "Where's Mine and Sheele?"

"They left for their mission already," explained Najenda. "By the way thankyou for the food Sayo."

"Yeah this is delicious." as Lubbock took a spoon full of his meal.

"Huh I didn't cook that." said Sayo "I was helping out Tatsumi with some ideas for the leftover dinosaur parts we have."

"Wait then who cooked this?" asked Akame, already digging into the leftover food.

"When did you get a plate?"

Ieyasu put down his fork. "I thought Sheele cooked this," earning a surprised look from the members of Night Raid. "Yeah i thought I saw her in the kitchen cooking."

"Well she did ask to take my turn," said Sayo, earning more surprise looks. "What? Why is everyone looking so surprised?"

"Sheele never cooks." said Bulat as he explained how she would more or less screw up every chore she was given.

"Yeah I don't think I've seen her do anything right other than assassinations." said Lubbock.

"What are you talking about?" said Sayo, a little confused. "The other day she helped me clean the birds I hunted."

Ieyasu nodded. "She even helped me sew the hole in my shirt when she was doing laundry."

"EEEHHHH" shouted all of the members of Night Raid simultaneously.

"So this is the red light district," said Tatsumi as he and Leone were on a building overlooking the streets. "It definitely makes your heart beat faster." as he saw all the scantily clad women walking around.

"How can you be such a badass and so cute at the sametime?" said Leone causing Tatsumi to blush a little. "Come on I'll show you our target." As they ran across the rooftops until they stopped at a brothel. "Alright we're here," as she transformed into her lioness form. Which was slightly different now that she had unlocked her nen. She had a little bit more fur and she was able to control how big and strong her claws were, even how sharp the nails got, she also was able to morph her legs now into more lion like giving her more speed. It also boosted her senses greatly. "So what do you think of my-" she stopped as she smelled something.

"You okay, Leone?" asked Tatsumi as Leone moved into the building's rafters and moved the floorboard, showing a room full of barely clothed women laying down inhaling a pink smoke. "Drugs."

"Yeah, these guys not only sell the shit, they also use it to keep these girls under their control." said Leone as she recognized a few of the girls. Soon several men walked in and told the girls they would give them more drugs.

One of the men looked down at one of the girls. "Hey boss I think this girl is broken."

"Just toss her out we'll get a new girl to take her place." said the man's boss.

The man was about to hit the girl when suddenly he couldn't move his arm. "You ain't touching her." said Tatsumi as he grabbed the man and took him to the other room faster than anyone could see him.

Leone quickly grabbed the other man and rushed out of the room, soon the two of them cleared the building from all the drug dealers. Once they were sure the job was complete Leone returned to the room full of women and to the girl that was almost hit. "Hey there Bell."

"You know her?" said Tatsumi cleaning the blood off of his blade.

"She's a friend from the slums," she said as she gently lifted her friend. "Sorry but could you wait a moment, Tatsumi."

"Drugs, please give me some more drugs." said the girl.

"Don't worry I'll give you something better." said Leone as she put her hand on the girl's stomach. "Lion's Cure" Soon Leone's nen was filling the girl destroying the drug in her body and restoring her cells. Bell looked at Leone with clarity as the nen did its work curing the girl before she fell into uneasiness. Leone put her down before standing up and roaring, unleashing her nen in the form of several lions eating the drugs inside the women inside the room, curing them as well causing them all to fall asleep. When it was all down the drugs were destroyed and Leone looked as if she had just ran around the country.

Tatsumi helped her stay standing. "Lion's cure huh?"

She gave him a weak smile "Huff, My first ability what do you think?"

"Not bad, just surprised that was your first ability. I was expecting something more offensive." he said honestly as he walked them out of the brothel and away from any onlookers. Soon the two of them found themselves on a deserted street. Leone pushed herself off of Tatsumi walking on her own. "So why was that your first ability?"

"After I saw Ieaysu heal that woman in the graveyard, the first thing my mind went to were all the people in the slums that didn't have access to medicine. I've spent years watching it happen and I'm tired of seeing it, so I decided my first ability would be something that allows me to heal others, kind of like how my teigu heals me." explained Leone with a bit of a blush on her face.

"You're a good person Leone, today you just gave those girls new hope and that's just fine with me." he said with a smile. Without warning Leone grabbed Tatsumi's face and licked his cheek. When Tatsumi's mind decided to work again he freaked out, rubbing his cheek. "What did you do that for?"

"I marked you," said Leone with a grin. "Your mine now." causing Tatsumi's jaw to drop. "Relax, I'm a little too tired right now. I wonder how the others are doing?"

Mine and Sheele were running through the park after eliminating their latest target. "Man this is becoming too easy now." said Mine before she and Sheele stopped. They both could feel something ahead of them. "It looks like someone is waiting for us."

Sheele looked at Mine. "We should go around."

"Nah"

"Mine?"

"From what I can sense there's just one person and some sort of animal. We're trained assassins that know nen. Let's be honest here the empire doesn't have anything that can rival us now." she said as she ran forward a bit, Sheele nervously followed. "Hey you gonna come down or are you just going to wait for me to shoot you."

A girl and her pet jumped down from the tree right in front of the two. When she landed she took out a wanted poster. "I knew it, your face matches the one in the wanted poster, you must be Sheele of Night Raid." as she pointed at Sheele. "And judging by your teigu you're holding you're also a member of Night Raid. Finally…" she grew a mad grin. "I've finally tracked you down." she then raised her fist. "Imperial Forces Seryu Ubiquitous, in the name of Justice, I will make you evil doers pay here and now."

For a moment no one said anything or moved at all, but Mine couldn't hold it in. "PFFT HAHAHAHAHA. You know who we are and you think you can take us, that hilarious, you really just came here to die."

Seryu was getting angry at Mine's response. "For my father and for my fallen master I will deliver justice no matter what."

Mine still was chuckling. "Look I hate to tell you this but you have no chance of beating us," she then powered up her nen. "Well let's make this quick. I want to go to bed at a decent time tonight."

"Nen" said a deep but weak voice. For a moment the girls looked around to see where the voice came from.

"Mine." said Sheele as she pointed with her Extase.

Mine and Seryu followed it to Koro who was salivating looking at Mine. "Nen"

"KORO YOU CAN TALK!" shouted Seryu in surprise forgetting about the two assassins.

Koro on the other hand kept staring at Mine as dark energy began to leak out of the teigu. "Nen"

Mine began to shake as she looked at the creature. 'What the hell is not leaking out a lot of energy but it's giving off a weird vibe. I need to kill it now.' thought Mine as she poured Nen into her Pumpkin. "DIE." Mine fired a massive shot at the two.

Koro moved in front of Seryu and opened his mouth wide open taking the blast. When the smoke cleared the creature was bigger now and his fur was now changing color to a dark shade of blue. "Delicious."

Seryu did lose a step and pulled out her gun tonfas and fired at the assassins. Sheele got in font of Mine and began to cut each bullet. "Mine remember what Tatsumi said teigu were."

'There Nen weapons. That thing is feeding off of my nen infused bullets.' thought Mine realizing they made a mistake.

"Koro arms." ordered Seryu ready to charge.

"No" said Koro in a deep voice, surprising everyone.

"WHAT!"

Koro raised his arms at Mine and Sheele. "This" Suddenly several nen Bullets appeared and shot out at them.

Seryu watched as both Mine and Sheele moved suddenly as the ground where they were standing exploded. The girl was very confused. 'What's going on? They're dodging some sort of attack coming from Koro, but I can't see anything. Though clearly Koro is attacking, he's on my side. We are still carrying out JUSTICE.' As she charged forward.

'Those bullets are my Nen bullets' Thought Mine before using Pumpkin to block a blow from Seryu. "And I have to deal with this bitch." as she focused Nen into her arms before punching Seryu sending her flying several feet away.

Seryu bit back the pain and stood back up to fight. 'That was a harder punch than I thought, how can a girl that tiny hit so hard.' she then saw out of the corner of her eye Sheele holding her own against Koro. 'These evil doers are a lot stronger than I thought.' her thought process was broken as Mine began to fire at Seryu with incredible fast bullets.

Sheele began to attack but also looked at Seryu before looking back at Koro. As the monster tried to attack Sheele, she cut the arm off of the teigu resulting in the creature to roar in pain. "I get it now, you absorb raw nen. If I keep it infused with my weapon you can't use it, you were designed for an emitter weren't you." Koro eyed Sheele as it regrow its arm. "You get stronger the more nen you eat and if your user could give you nen you could get really strong but you can't so the best you can do is feed off of the nen of others, or at least other emitters."

Koro stood over Sheele. "Die."

"Not today," said Sheele holding her Extase in front of her. "I still need to thank him for my second chance. Killer Stance Activate." As she said that Sheele glowed for a moment as her eyes turned red. She then raised Extase over her head as the panda face on it became angry, the pair of scissors then separated into two different blades. Resulting in a small shock wave getting the attention from the others.

Mine's eyes went wide. 'Since when could she do that?'

Seryu was more worried about the power she was feeling. 'What is this power? Is this the Extase trump card.'

'This is the true power of a Teigu, no, the true power of a nen weapon.' Sheele thought before her and Koro began the dance of death. Koro tried to use his strength to his Sheele but her body was now moving on auto pilot as she weaved between the attacks slicing Koro's arms and body. Koro tried to back away but Sheele then sent several slices after it. 'These aren't nen blades, with the power of Extase at its fullest they can cut through anything including space.' As she severed the monster arms. 'As long as you're within range nothing will stop me from cutting you.'

"KORO!" shouted Seryu seeing her Teigu getting cut into ribbons. "Activate Beserker!" Koro then roared as its fur turned red. Though it did little as Sheele cut the beast in half. "KORO!"

"Shut up and die." said Mine as she rapidly fired at Seryu who began to dodge while also putting distance between them. Several of Mine's shots hit, it was only thanks to her body modifications she was still standing. 'What the hell is up with this bitch, how is she not dead yet?'

Koro looked up at Seryu who was heavily injured, blood was oozing out from every part of her body and barely standing. Seeing this and the fact that neither Mine or Sheele were really injured at all, Koro quickly regrew himself and ran towards Seryu grabbing and jumped high into the air. "Koro what are you doing, we have to dispense justice on the evil doers." Said Seryu in Koro's arms.

"Shit they're getting away." said Mine raising Pumpkin lining up a shot.

Sheele stepped in front of Mine stopping her. "I got this." as she put Extase back together before closing the scissors sending a massive slice at Koro shooting it out of the sky sending them both to the ground, somewhere in the city. "Can we go home now?"

Mine just stared at Sheele in shock with what she just saw. "Uh yeah."

Seryu slowly regained consciousness after the crash landing inside a crater created due to their landing. Her body felt broken all over she could barely move and felt pain all over. She saw Koro shrink down to regular size and crawl towards her. "Why, why didn't you stay and fight, we needed to bring justice, we needed to avenge my master."

Koro looked at her with a hint of sadness in its eyes. "You weak, need nen, learn nen, be strong."

"Nen what's nen," Koro didn't say anything as it returned to its regular form, "Koro what is nen?" she would continue to ask but the teigu was unresponsive as it no longer had the power to speak.

"Wow it sounds like you've had one hell of a night." said Ieyasu as he and the rest of Night Raid listened to Mine and Sheele's tale in the kitchen.

"Yeah it was unexpected," said Mine as she relaxed in chair. "Have you guys ever heard of anything like this?"

The hunters had to think for a moment. "Tatsumi, have you heard of anything like this?" asked Sayo

Tatsumi hummed for a moment. "Nen on its own is very unique, almost no two abilities are the same, the same can be said for nen weapons. Teigu maybe old nen weapons but clearly they are still something that can't be taken lightly. I hope this is a good lesson for you Mine, to never underestimate anyone who has access to nen, whether it be through their own power or through the power of a weapon."

Mine hung her head in shame. "Yes sir."

"Don't worry Mine," said Sheele holding a plate with a hot meal. "We survived today so we should learn from it." as she set the plate down in front of her friend. "Here eat up."

"Don't mind if I do," said Mine looking at the fantastic meal in front of her. "Mmm this is good, which one of you guys made this?" All of Night Raid just stared at Sheele with eyes the size of plates, soon Mine connected the dots. "NO WAY!"

Tatsumi saw this and was greatly confused. "Uh guys what's going on?"

Ieyasu just shrugged.

"We're still trying to figure that out." said Sayo as she explained earlier today.

"Hey Sheele," said Tatsumi, getting the girls attention. "Clearly you've already decided on your abilities, what exactly is it?"

Sheele nodded. "I call them my Focus Stances. The stances allow me to focus on tasks as I would be doing if I were assassinationg so I can be more useful outside of assassin work. I want to be more useful to everyone so I made the ability Chore Stance." Sheele became slightly nervous hoping the others wouldn't think it was too ridiculous.

"Wait what about what you did during the fight, how did you split Extase?" asked Mine.

"Oh that just happened by accident when I was training a few days ago. I just put some nen into the blade and then suddenly the panda face changed and the blades separated. At first I thought I broke them, but then I could do a lot more with them and the blades seemed to react to me." explained Sheele.

"Teigu are nen weapons." said Ieyasu

"So it stands to reason that with nen you can do more than normal without nen." said Sayo.

"Yep with your nen unlocked the Teigu are bound to have more abilities available." said Tatsumi making the others wonder what else their weapons can do.

Tatsumi got done with his finishing touches with the project Sayo gave him, as he was walking back to his room he saw Sheele sitting outside looking at the stars. "Eh, Sheele what are you doing out here?"

"Oh hello Tatsumi, I was just enjoying the stars." she said. "Would you like to join me?"

"Sure why not." He said as he sat next to the girl.

"Thank you. Thank you so much." she said.

"Huh what for?"

"My whole life I've never been good at anything, if I tried to cook I would burn the food, if I tried to fold laundry I would make a mess. There was almost nothing I could do right. Even my parents gave up on me. I only had one real friend in my life that tried to help me but things didn't go well. Her boyfriend tried to kill her, I stepped in and killed him. It was ruled as self defense and I was able to walk away, soon after that his friends killed my parents, I killed them and got recruited to Night Raid. Though that kill changed everything, I was always an airhead but when I was in the fight about to make a kill, everything cleared up and I could finally focus on something." she said in a neutral tone before she spoke with sadness. "Though I knew deep down I had nothing else, many of the others have talked about what else they would do after the fight but I had nothing, I couldn't see myself being anything more than a weapon, a killer, with no future for me to look forward to." She then turned towards Tatsumi, looked at him right in the eye and took his hand. "Then you came, you taught us nen and for the first time I can remember I can finally look forward to tomorrow, I can be more than an assassin, I can finally see myself in the future as a normal person that can live without violence without hurting or killing others." She peered deep into his eyes. "You have given me another chance at life."

Tatsumi had no idea what to do with this information, he just kept staring right back at her as he realized just how much of an impact he has had on her life. "Sheele I-" she cut him off as she pressed her lips onto his giving him a deep kiss. When then separated Tatsumi's brain had come to a grinding halt. "Sh-sh- Sheele?"

"I think I love you Tatsumi." she said with pure honesty, causing Tatsumi's eyes to roll back into his head as his brain shut down. "Tatsumi! Tatsumi are you okay, uh Tatsumi?" as Sheele began to worry for her crush, she then noticed a few people standing behind them. "Oh hey guys, mind helping me. I think Tatsumi might be sick."

As Night Raid dealt with some new internal developments a large force arrived outside the capitol. "Ah it's been awhile since I've returned home." said the Ice General Esdeath.
