Prelude: This is...My first time writing in a while. I have had this story kinda in my head for a while, and I wanted to finally put it to pen and paper (kinda metaphorically). This, however, is more of a Pilot. If you're interested in me continuing, let me know, and I'll do so, or try.

Warning: This is an OC story. However, I am not poaching Issei's Harem. He and his harem aren't in the story at all. This is so have creative freedom. if that puts you off, then this may not be for you. Sorry, some people have reviewed and talked about this, so I decided to make an Edit to let future readers know.

Long, long ago, there was a war unlike any other in the history of the World. The war between the three Factions: The Devils, Fallen Angels, and Angels. No one really knows why it started, but it was a bloody conflict. Countless amounts of all three factions perished, and soon, all that was left of the factions had to stop. The God of the Bible had died, the 4 Satans had died, and the Fallen Angels already had lost most of their numbers. The three factions had to lick their wounds, plan, and regain their strength. However, all three factions were not ready to just give up just yet. They all began to regain numbers, plot ways to grow stronger, created allies. Tension built, growing steadily as the leaders got ready for another war to break out. All it would take was one little event that might tip the balance and make everything come crashing down.

But, not everyone thought this way. One of the Head Fallen Angels, also known as an Iscariot, did not want another war. So, thus, he created an organization in secret. He founded an organization he called "United". This organization's purpose was to calm issues between the issues secrelty, hopefully to eventually United the 3 Factions and finally cause peace. The Fallem Angel who headed the organization, Nicodemus, slowly gathered benefactors and allies, gaining some "Agents" that he could send to deal with certain problems before they arise.

Eventually, United even solved the problems of other mythologies to try to bring about peace across the world. United even recruited members from humans, Fallen Angels, Devils, and Angels. Although, many of their recruits were made for the purpose of keeping peace while they were in their society. The "agents" were only few in number, especially since many might give away or tip the scales toward war themselves. However, after years of careful working United found the wielder of a Longinus, and a promising one at that. They provided him with what he needed to live, and in return, he would protect the city he was in until he was ready to be sent out on missions as their agent. However, the man's training time was about to be cut short.

One day, Grigori had a visitor come from on of their allies, requesting to specifically speak to Nicodemus. As she was brought to him, she had to think about how to deliver the news. After all, what she had to tell him could possibly start another Great War, something she knew he didn't desire, and neither did she. Fallen Anhelz eyed her, but she'd grown used to the crude stares she'd gotten at home, and the crude stares of men in general. Now, once at his office, she entered and she quietly listened to see if anyone was listening. She then approached the salt and pepper haired Fallen Angel and she sat down, looking at Nicodemus seriously. The Iscariot had never been the one to take things too seriously, usually liking to joke around . But the woman spoke before he could.

"Good morning, Sir Nicodemus... It is an honor to meet you. I am Valerie Penning, and I am here because... I have heard rumors you are... A member of that United group..."

"... Why yes, I am. It is a pleasure to meet you too, Miss Penning. Now, usually people don't just walk into my office and mention something so... Secretive. I imagine you must be quite desperate!"

"Why yes... I am. You see, I'm from... I am a Sacred Knight."

"Yes, I could tell by the intensely dark aura from the sword you're carrying."

"Yes... Anyway, that isn't what I wanted to tell you."

"Obviously."

"Yes, obviously... Ugh, ok. So, if you don't recall how my people... Handle their issues... Recently, I was betrothed."

"Um... You know that United isn't a... We don't do weddings, right..."

"OH dear...! Yes, I know that...! The suitor that fought and earned my hand in marriage is... He's the son of Duran Beelzebub."

Nicodemus, who had a light manner before narrowed his eyes slightly and folded his hands. Duran Beelzebub was suspected of a great many things pertaining to United's cause. While he had his own people fooled, or many of them at least, United had him down as one of the trouble makers. Trying to stir the flames of war until they bubbled over. Nicodemus spoke one again.

"His son... Damn. So, why come to tell me...?"

"While I enjoy a good fight... I am not one for Senseless violence. I overheard him speaking to his father. My people, the Sacred Knights... Have a treaty with you lot, the Fallen Angels. But if I were to marry a Devil, my house would... Ally with his. And thus, it would-"

"Tip the scales towards war... Damn. Duran and his kid are... Geniuses. Starting a war without even leaving room for Sirzechs to blame them. It would look like our fault..."

"Exactly, Mister Nicodemus. I came to you, because I wanted to warn you... Unless someone can beat him in combat, then war might start. And if an Angel or Fallen Angel tries to stop the wedding, it'll start another Great War again too.. Now, I don't know if you-"

"OH, My dear! Don't worry!"

"Don't... Worry? What the hell are you talking about?"

"Just what I said! Don't worry... You see, we have human agents and agents of other species!"

"But you don't get it! This is HARUKI Beelzebub, he's centuries old...! What sort of human could-"

"OH, Miss Penning... You don't understand. I have just the guy."

Leaning over, he grabbed a small device, and he smiled, winking over to the woman. She was utterly confused by the 12 Winged Fallen Angel, but she might as well play along. Even if she didn't like games, Nicodemus obviously wasn't one to take things too seriously. Suddenly, Nicodemus spoke into the device with a smile.

"Yeah, I need you to do me a favor... We have a situation. I need you to contact... The Silver Dragon Paladin. Yeah, that's right...! Try to get him here, if you will. We are gonna need him real soon."

Blinking a moment, Nicodemus looked over and he winked at her. Once he set down the device, she shook her head a second before she asked a simple question.

"Wait... Who is the Silver Dragon Paladin?"

"OH, you're in for a treat... He is one of our most promising Agents... And his name is... Well, I'll let him tell you once he gets here."

Long ago, there were 4 Dragons, regarded as some of the Greatest of their kind. These 4 Dragons were said to be able to slay even Gods with their capabilities. However, their lives were cut short, and they were sealed in 4 Sacred Gears. These Sacred Gears went from user to user throughout history. They changed the course of battles, allowed humans to do the impossible. These 4 Sacred Gears, out of the 15 were regarded as some of the strongest. And now, after all these years, one of these gears was in the right hand of a human who lived in a small, Japanese town. And just as Nicodemus had spoken about, this man was known in United as the Silver Dragon Paladin, or, more commonly as: The Silver Dragon Emperor.

It is said that some are born into greatness, and some have it thrust upon them. But what about those who aspire to be great but aren't born into it? Or have it handed to them? Are they doomed to mediocrity? A life that isn't great, but isn't terrible? Or can they too obtain greatness?

An old fashioned alarm blares beside an old bed. The bed sits in the middle of a large room, there are no walls, and trash is strewn about. Slowly, a Silver haired man rolls over, slowly rising up and sitting for a moment. Silencing his alarm, he hopped up and he began to jog in place. He walked over to a small area where he had an oven, a refrigerator, and several other electronics for various purposes in a kitchen. Pulling out an apple, he shines it and he runs over to a small bathroom that was the only part of the abode in a separate room. There, he did his morning business, brushed his teeth, made sure his hair wasn't tangled, and he looked in the mirror. Smiling sloghtly to himself, he spoke softly.

"Looking good Xander... Happy 19th Birthday. Maybe I'll get a cupcake or something to celebrate."

Xander softly chuckled and he wiped his nose. Jogging out of the bathroom, he quickly went over to his work out space. The muscled teenager began to do push-ups with his right arm, using his left to take bites of his apple. After 10 push-ups, he quickly pushed himself up, swapped to his left arm, and doing another 10. The morning routine and workout was something he'd been doing for 7 years, originally doing 100 push-ups with both hands. Now, the male was doing much more, usually doing it until his arms hurt so badly he couldn't continue. Humming softly as he continued his push-ups, he continued to eat his apple, although he was working up more of an appetite than he usually did.

As his stomach gurgled softly, Xander sighed softly. Well, shopping was something he was going to have to do. However, for now, he was going to stick to his morning routine. After doing as many push-ups as he could while switching his arms, he stood up and he moved to a treadmill. Setting it on the highest setting, he began running on it. Before he'd gotten the machine, he'd jog around the entire city several times or until his legs hurt so badly they screamed for him to stop. But the boy had learned to endure the pain, having done plenty more than just working out. As a United Agent in training, he'd sparred skilled members, hunted stray Devils and Fallen Angels, and he'd even gotten the chance to test his Sacred Gear in action.

However, after about 10 minutes of running, Xander heard the sound of his burner cellphone ringing. He continued running for a moment, but soon stopped the machine and walked down. Grabbing a washcloth, he wiped his face and neck before tossing it into a large hamper. He picked up his phone and he answered it like he always did when thisnspecial number gave him a call.

"What's up Danger?"

After hearing a small sigh on the other end, Xander chuckled softly. However, he knew that this wasn't a social call, so he quickly got serious and steeled himself for whatever news he was going to be getting.

"Hey Silver... Nicodemus has called for you. Apparently he's going to be sending you on your first mission. Congratulations. Use the circle we have carved for you and we'll send you right to Nicodemus' office."

"Hold on... I thought that I was going to be on probation a while longer? Due to my... Tendency to throw myself into danger, or whatever the other reason was."

"That your Dragon's Aspect is Devestation, and some of our more covert missions wouldn't fit you well? Yeah. But Nicodemus asked for you specifically."

"Huh... Alright. I'll be on the circle in a sec. I don't have magic, so give I'll keep you on the line until you can send me up..."

Walking over to the circle that was used for teleportation, he stood in the middle and took a deep breath. He'd never used this before, so he wasn't quite sure of what to expect.

"OK, I'm ready whenever you are to send m-"

Xander wax cut off as suddenly the circle glowed and he felt as if he was coming apart at the seems. Like every part of him was stretched and being pulled somewhere else. Having quickly closed his eyes, he didn't see anything for a moment before suddenly he eard the sound of a woman talking.

"-But, this person is a human? You are going to be sending a human to do something so risky and important? That's... Idiotic...!"

Xander didn't exactly fully understand what they were talking about, but the woman referring to a human made him suspect this was about him. Clearing his throat, Nicodemus looked over and stood up with a smile.

"Ah, there he is. It's been a while, how have you been?"

Xander narrowed hisneyes and then sighed softly. He wouldn't cause a stink over something like this. He'd grown used to being looked down on and underestimated.

"It's been a while Nicodemus… And You know how it's been. Epsilon has been working me out like a Slave Driver, and I have been working out my skills as usual. How about you?"

"OH, I've been good, I've been good… But we aren't here for Small Talk, unfortunately. I'm assuming that you were told 8 had a mission for you."

"Yeah, of course. I was a little surprised, but knowing you, I shouldn't have been. It's impossible to tell if you are joking or not." Turning to the woman, Xander gave a little bit of a bow and offered his hand to her.

"Greetings… I am Xander Phillis. It is a pleasure to meet you. I'm assuming you're the one who got Nicodemus to call me?"

The woman stood up and took his hand. Shaking hands, Xander looked her in the eyes with a gentle look. The woman was beautiful, short black hair, green eyes, he could tell that she was important too. She had this aura about her that gave him the feeling of royalty or someone who believed highly in themselves. And when she spoke, she had a nice voice too. Although, her serious demeanor was something he'd not been used to seeing. Then again, he didn't really have a ton of human contact anymore, due to spending most of his time sharpening his skills.

"Greetings. I am Valerie Penning, a Sacred Knight. Its a pleasure to meet you as well, Mister Phillis"

"OH, uh… You can call me Xander, if you wish. I definitely think being called Mister is a bit much for me."

The woman looked at Nicodemus, almost with a look that simply screamed, 'Really?' Nicodemus sighed and he tilted his head, gesturing to Xander.

"Xander, Miss Penning has a problem, and she is… Well, she is afraid your skills are lacking. Would you mind showing her why I called you here?"

Xander nodded and he took a deep breath, concentrating. On his right fist a gauntlet formed, a black jewel being on the back of it. The gem glowed, and a voice came from it. Xander was all too used to it though. He also reached up and removed two contact lenses, showing her his reptilian pupils.

"Greetings Miss Penning, I am Epsilon! I heard a moment ago that you doubt me and my partner's skills. Well, let me tell you, Xander is more powerful than you could likely know!"

Xander looked away, feeling a little embarrassed. Clearing his throat, he looked at the gauntlet.

"Epsilon, please, don't say such things… She didn't know who I was."

Valerie looked a little surprised, but her face grew dark. Sitting down, Xander moved and sat down as well. Looking at Nicodemus, he tilted his head.

"So, Nicodemus, what is the problem? What is it that may be too much for me to do?"

"Well, Xander… I can let Miss Penning explain it to you first, if she doesn't mind?"

"No, I don't mind at all… As I told Nicodemus before, I am betrothed and to be married to a Devil. This could tip the scales and cause another Great War. I originally came to warn him, but now he wants you to-"

"Xander, I want you to crash the wedding and challenge him. The place Miss Penning is from will allow you to challenge him to stop the ceremony. All you need to do is beat him, and we'll be golden!"

Xander paused for a second and he placed his hands together and bowed his head. The mission he was being sent on was to crash the wedding of a Devil and the woman beside him. Not that it wasn't hard to understand, he just felt a little bit of the absurdity of the politics that were going on. Taking a deep breath, he sat up and he nodded.

"OK, that sounds interesting enough. So, Miss Penning, please tell me why you're so worried."

"Well… He beat other men from my home land for my hand, and he is a powerful Devil. He's the adopted son of Duran Beelzebub, and his name is Haruki Beelzebub. He defeated my people so easily too… Of course, because he fought with his fists, my people respectfully didn't use their blades. He defeated them all at once…"

"How many men were there to try and claim your hand in marriage? And why was it decided by a fight?"

"I… He defeated a dozen skilled men all at once. And as for the customs of my people, explaining them is… Difficult. I can do that later. I am afraid that you cannot handle him though, because… Because…"

Xander looked over and nodded softly, as she seemed to be somewhat choking on her words or struggling to say them. So, he was a powerful Devil? And he was of the House of Beelzebub, meaning he must have been strong. But, he was adopted, so he wouldn't have the special power of the house. So what made him so dangerous that she was doubting him? Something was obviously up that would make her so worried that he couldn't handle it, even with a Sacred Gear.. That when Nicodemus chuckled.

"OH, come on Miss Penning, there is no need to come back. Haruki is not only some random powerful Devil. He is a Reincarnated Devil… And not only this, but he possesses a Sacred Gear."

Xander's eyes widened a bit, but that wasn't the end of the bad news. Because that was when Epsilon spoke up once again.

"Not only that, Xander… I have heard the name before. Haruki Beelzebub is not just a Devil with a Sacred Gear… He's also the Red Dragon Emperor."
