The flight to Kyoto wasn't too long for Xander, not that he didn't mind that. He had a normal airplane ticket, so he was jammed in there like a pack of sardines. But the uncomfortableness was something he was quite used to, having slept on the floor for a good while after the loss of his parents. Once he arrived, though, Xander was more focused on going to the hotel where he'd been staying. It was a classy one, and he'd looked up information about it. It was a nice hotel that would be a great way for Xander to relax whenever he wasn't out doing his thing. Sighing softly, the very few things he had packed were sitting in a small backpack he was wearing over one shoulder.

Walking through the city and streets, he appreciated the view of the ocean and the sights of Kyoto. He'd never been here, but he knew his mother used to live here. After all, he was half Japanese on his mother's side, which he'd learned about very early on. But Xander wasn't here for sightseeing, he was here to go on a mission and make sure everything was OK. But first, he'd likely need to find some information from people, about any rumors or unique sightings around now. Although it would be hard, since most humans rationalize things in their brains and find some way to ignore the Supernatural. Or at least, that was what Xander sorta thought of it was. However, after roaming the streets, he eventually came up to a big, fancy hotel.

Heading inside, he spotted a woman at the front desk. Walking up and waiting until she looked at him, he cleared his throat softly.pulling out his wallet, handing over his ID to her.

"I'm Xander Phillis… I believe there is a room rented for me, for about a week… You know. My ID should be checked out…"

"Hmmm… You seem quite… Young… To be getting sent on a business trip like this."

"OH, Yeah, I'm on business from Nicodemus… He told me to ask for Tsubaki when I was here too."

"... That is me…"

"OH, good! He told me to tell you… That he misses you and he'd love to see you again."

Reaching into his back, he pulled out a blue rose. The woman paused for a moment and blushed before snatching it and pointing toward the elevator.

"Your room is second from the top…"

"Thank you!"

Smiling, Xander went to the stairs and he quickly began climbing them. The building was quite tall, being an enormous hotel, so it would help him get in his workout without disturbing anyone. After a solid 20 minutes of jogging up the stairs, he arrived at his floor and he quickly walked down the hall. Finding the door to his room, he opened it up and entered inside. The room was enormous, with a huge television, a mini fridge, and a cabinet filled with Alcohol. Walking inside, he put up a do not disturb sign. He walked over, dropping his backpack by the foot of his bed and he slowly climbed into the bed and laid on his back. Sinking into the mattress slightly, he closed his eyes, wanting a moment to rest. Adamant Absorption appeared, and Xander heard something.

"What? What did you say? Oh, it was you Epsilon."

"Xander, are you alright? You have been quite quiet as of late… You acted recklessly as well. Although, I suppose that is normal for you."

"Yes, it is normal for me…"

"Xander, sometimes, you are a total fool… Biting off more than you can chew, so you just GAG it down."

"Yeah? What of it? Look, Dad… I… I lost those I cared about because I wasn't strong enough. I cannot just sit around and do nothing…"

"Xander… You know it wasn't your faul-"

"Epsilon, don't say another word… I am at fault… I am the one who failed them. If only I was… No, I can't get emotional here. Epsilon, would you mind letting me pray…?"

A sigh emanated from his Sacred Gear and Epsilon fell silent. Xander had grown used to calling him dad in private. It was embarrassing, but Epsilon was a father figure to him. He'd trained and helped him for 7 years now. How could he not be close to him? Rolling over, he sat up and he crossed his legs. Putting his hands together and taking a deep breath, he began to pray. Whenever he did, he did it to calm himself, for his faith, and whenever he did it, he generated Holy Energy. Or according to Epsilon, he did. Quietly, he pressed his head into the bed, before he rose up and sat down. Crossing his legs, he placed his hands on his knees, deciding to ask Epsilon about something he'd been thinking about.

"Epsilon… In my fight with Haruki, how did I do?"

"Hmmmm… Well, it was our fight. You're my partner… But, you did surprisingly well. You've gotten better with your energy usage, and how much output you place on Obliterates. I remember when you used to accidentally break the bones in your foot from using Obliterate from your legs to go up."

"Yeah, the Knees are a smaller joint, plus, I can aim my direction better… But I mean, I got myself hurt pretty badly. You say I did well?"

"Xander… As a human, you have limits. Devils, Angels, Fallen Angels, and other species are tougher and stronger than you. With Adamant Absorption, you balance things out a bit. But Haruki is a Reincarnated Devil with a Sacred Gear. That put you at a disadvantage… But you beat him."

"Yeah, I did… It hurt REAL bad though."

"OH, I can imagine. You outdid him, probably because of your disregard for your own safety."

"Eeeh… Anything to get an advantage, you once told me."

"Indeed… Although, I had expected him to have Fire to use against us. I suppose that's because he doesn't talk with Ddraig."

"Fire? What do you mean?"

Epsilon paused for a moment before he let out a rich laugh. After a moment, he sighed softly and Xander could almost just imagine him shaking his head back and forth in response to him.

"Ddraig, the Welsh Dragon, is a Red Dragon. Fire is their specialty. Ddraig had his own fire, which he stopped using long ago, but I thought Haruki might be able to at least BREATH fire."

"Uh huh… Interesting. What about you and the other Heavenly Dragons?"

"Well… Albion is a White Dragon… Eeeh, well… Yes, he's a White Dragon. Usually White Dragons are Chromatic, which means they have some Weather Manipulation. A Normal White Dragon has Ice. Albion had Poison… Although he hated it."

"You're a Chromatic Dragon, aren't you? Do you have Ice Power?"

"No, no. There are a wide Variety of things we can do. For example, I had the ability to use-"

Epsilon was cut off by someone knocking on the door. Clearing his throat, Xander slowly walked over to the door and used the peephole to see outside. In the hall, there stood an average looking guy, wearing shorts and a shirt, sunglasses on. And from how he was swaying, he looked like he was drunk. Xander opened the door slightly.

"Hello… Is there something-"

"H-hey man… Yo, there is this… Party upstairs… And the Host wanted me to invite people or… Something. So, will ya come…?"

Xander, at first, was going to shoot him down. After all, he wasn't the party type, the drinking type, and he was kinda tired. However, an idea came to mind. If he went to this party, he'd be able to talk with people, and possibly get information. After all, if they were drunk and chatty, perhaps someone had seen something, and he could use that to his advantage.

"You know what… Sure! That sounds nice."

"Awesome dude… Awesome… Just follow me…"

Xander exited his room and he followed the man to an elevator. Stepping inside, he pressed the button for the top floor, and they soon were stepping out once again. The man grabbed Xander, though, and directed him to a pair of stairs. There were sounds from above, but they were mostly muffled. However, after they went upstairs, he fumbled with some keys before opening up the door.

Inside, there was an ENORMOUS room, unlike any he'd seen. It reminded him of his house, but it had stairs to an upper floor, games, drinks, and a lot of people standing around. The guy ran in, cheering, going to join some people on what looked like a video game system. A girl walked up to him, holding a clipboard and she smiled.

"Hello! Thank you for joining us… Now, we have a system here. Are you looking to hook up? You seem new, I'm sure some of the people here would love to hook up with you."

Now, some questions floated through Xander's mind. Mainly, what hooking up meant. Was it, like, hooking up for information? After all, she'd said that people would love him since he wasn't from here. He could talk about his home and get some info! That sounded good to him!

"Sure, I'd love to hook up! I, uh, don't know how it works though, so-"

"OH, No worries! I write your name down, and someone may or may not choose you to hook up with. Although, I'd say you definitely have a nice chance… What is your name?"

"Xander! Xander Phillis!"

"Alright Xander… Your name is down, take a name tag, and have some fun!"

Xander walked to a table and he retrieved a name tag, writing his name on it. Putting it on his chest, it was strange, he wasn't sure what to expect. However, he noticed a bunch of people sitting down and talking. Quietly moving over, he hoped to join the conversation. That is, before a guy stood up and he bumped into Xander. Xander was surprised, but he quickly bowed a small bit.

"I'm so sorry, are you ok?"

"Ugh… Yeah, I am fine, man, just… Twisted my ankle a bit."

"Hold on, let me help you over to a chair."

Holding up the man, he helped him to a chair and Xander sat down in a chair near him. The man massaged his foot, although it didn't seem swollen. Maybe the guy faked it? But who cares, this was an opportunity.

"Hey man, so, I'm new around here. I just came today, actually. I'm Xander."

"Hmmm… It's a pleasure to meet you Xander. I'm Ragna. Now, I just need to rest a sec don't-"

"Could I ask you something?"

"Uh… Sure…?"

"I've heard some weird stuff may have been happening. Do you know anything about that?"

"Uh… Well, recently, some men working on some construction went missing. They haven't found them yet. Everyone thinks they just left or something, but it was a bit strange."

"Interesting… Anything else?"

"No, nothing I can think of."

"Well, hey, thanks man. I hope your ankle feels better."

Xander stood, going to explore other areas. There were stairs leading up, but the left stairs seemed to lead to rooms. It was strange, this party was so lively. He wondered who the host was and where they were. Plus, he'd seemed to have caught the attention of some people. A girl approached him and she looked at him, seemingly a little drunk.

"Hey… You're wearing a hoodie… Can I see what's underneath…?"

Xander was hesitant at first, but he removed his hoodie. Underneath, he was wearing a Grey tank top. Plus, his muscles were on full display. Now, he was not like a muscle head or one of those men who was all muscles. He was thin and lanky, but surprisingly muscular. Not from lack of trying, he just didn't try to bench press anything extremely heavy. Although, that was a good think, since Epsilon had once told him his muscle mass was perfect for cushioning him from Obliterate, but not large enough that his muscles would rip when they did so. But, after he took off his hoodie, many of the girls were walking up and poking him, staring at him like a lion looking at a prime piece of meat.

But, Xander was saved by the woman from earlier who had written his name down for hooking up. She came up and she shooed the girls off before she gave him a smile.

"The Host of the Party would like to be the one that hooks up with you… She is upstairs in her room. I can show you there."

Guiding him up, he was brought to a large room with a double bed. Inside, a woman was sitting there. She was quite young, her long lavender hair going down to her hips. She wore a tightly fit dress, and her eyes had a certain Interesting look about them. She walked up to him, her movements slow and fluid. Every move was meant to catch your eyes. However, Xander looked her right in the face with a smile. Once she got close enough, he offered her his hand.

"Hello! I'm Xander Phillis! It's nice to meet you. What is your name?"

The woman looked at him quizzically, when she gave him a soft smile of her own. Her voice was velvety and filled with a certain hunger that Xander couldn't quite describe. Plus, something about her was strangely off. He couldn't put his finger on it, but she had a different energy about her than most people did.

"I'm Akemi… Akemi Hamashiki. It's a pleasure to meet you Xander… I hear you signed up to hook up… You certainly look… Handsome…"

As she moved in, her lips coming close, Xander quickly took a step back, his heart pounding. Akemi at first looked confused, and she tilted her head.

"Wait. Aren't you gonna let me have some fun…? After all, I really wanna have some fun with you. You could do whatever you wanted to me~..."

Xander at first didn't get it, before thing began to click in his brain and he quickly held up his hands.

"No no! I… I didn't want that!"

"Wait… OH MY GOD! Are you gay? I'm so sorry if you are, I didn't know!"

"No, I'm not gay either!"

"I… Then wait, you don't seem bewitched by my charms. You signed up for hooking up… And I'll be honest, most guys I choose are gwry… susceptible."

"Ooooh! That's what hooking up means! I'm sorry, I am going to be abstinent… Or, I mean, I have planned to be. I came here because I thought it meant hooking up for information…"

"I… Hmm… I've not heard that one before. Although, I'll admit… Your resistance to my charm is kinda… Cute."

She walked over to her bed and patted the space beside her. Giving him a small wink, she chuckled softly.

"Well, come sit down, we can share information, or whatever… And don't worry, I don't bite. And I'm not TOO drunk."

Xander hesitantly moved over to her bed. Every instinct in his mind said this probably wasn't a good idea. However, he wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. Sitting beside her, he cleared his throat.

"W-well… I was curious if you knew of some strange things or rumors of.things going around? I heard some people disappeared and what not…"

"... Aah, ok. Interesting… Well, there have supposedly been some flying creatures seen around. Why do you ask?"

"W-well, I came here for business, and I wanted to know if some weird things were going on, in case I needed to remain careful."

Akemi gave him a curious look, and she reached over and touched Xander's leg and raised her eyebrows.

"Well, if you're scared… I can definitely protect you. You could even sleep in my bed with me, if you'd like…"

"OH, No thanks! On the sleeping thing, I mean. I feel it might be too sexual, and I wouldn't want that…"

"I was just kidding, you know? ... You are adorably naive… Xander, it was? Hmmm, well, I have a feeling you are… Different. What do you think?"

At first, Xander was confused, then Akemi shook her head and gave him a smile. However, suddenly, Xander felt a chill in the room. Akemi stood up and moved away, looking back at him.

"Are you a monster, like the ones running around…? Forgive me, I don't know much about Egyptian Monsters."

She pulled out a necklace, a small, golden sarcophagus hanging from the chain. Xander tried to play it off.

"Monsters? Egyptian Monsters? What do you mean? I was just curious about rumors."

"Uh huh… Man, you were cute too…"

She raised a hand, her skin and eyes glowing a light blue as skeletons, clad in armor, with weapons suddenly came from Hieroglyphics. They quickly surrounded Xander, before Xander stood up. Summoning his Balance Breaker, he quickly punched the skeletons, who broke apart, turning into nothingness. Akemi raised her eyebrows, and a voice came from her necklace.

"Akemi, he does not seem to be a threat… That is a Sacred Gear. He is a human, or at least, a half human."

"Wow, you have Sacred Gear too Akemi?"

Akemi looked at him confused, and the deep, thrusting voice let out a hearty laugh. Strangely enough, it reminded him of Epsilon. Akemi shook her head.

"I have no idea what the hell a Sacred Gear is, but no, this isn't a Sacred Gear. This is Osi!"

"Osi? What do you mean?"

The deep voice came out of her necklace once again.

"The method by which I am here is the magic of my Pantheon… And Osi is the nickname given to me by Akemi here. It still slightly annoys me, but I cannot complain… Akemi is my friend and host. She happily helped me when I needed it… OH, I am Osiris, Egyptian God of the Dead!"
