My Hero Academia: The Flash Chapter 18
Continuation: Two Weeks after the Incident
Two blurring streaks flowed across the open Water of the Ocean towards the East. "So where are we going Gramps?" Mathew Midoriya asked and his ancestor turned his head towards him.
"You got to stop calling me that." Izuku Midoyia said and then chuckled. "We are just out for a morning jog. Now that I know about the Speed Force and what I have to do to access it. I can keep myself from accidentally going into the Future or Past." He had found out that he had to concentrate on the Speed Force to access it. Even though the first time he did access it and went into the Future it was caused by not so much him. But the energy of the Explosion that pushed him into the Future. Having a near Atomic Explosion go off that close created an abundance of different types of energy. Including the Speed Force. They stopped running when they reached a small Island in the middle of the Pacific. There they stood on the Beach and gazed out at the Ocean.
"Can I ask you something?" Mathew asked and Izuku nodded.
"Sure. I kind of thought there was something. Since you asked if we could go for a run this morning before I go out with Mina for the day." Izuku replied and Mathew began to idly kick the sand in front of him.
"With me stuck here in what is...well what was my past. Which is not really my past anymore...not with you not being killed by Zane. Everything is different from what my Dad told me. So I have no idea what I should do...due to that with what I learned is completely different." Mathew said shaking his head. "You see my Dad told me it is extremely important that I do not change the past if I went into it. But here I changed it...Even though according to my Mom the past was altered by Zane way before I altered it. Can you understand what I am saying." Izuku shook his head with confusion. "Man Quantum Mechanics gives me a headache. Okay. So what I am asking is now that I am here...I know I am not the FLASH anymore and instead I am IMPULSE. You think it is alright if...Well if I...I want to ask Momo Yaoyoruzu out." He blurted out the last sentence and Izuku chuckled.
"I do not see why not." Izuku smirked. Remembering what Mina had confided in him. That during one of the Girl Chat times, Momo had reluctantly admitted that she sort of liked Mathew. She swore him to secrecy so he could not tell Mathew. After several more moments, Izuku pointed towards the west. "We better get back...I do have a date with Mina in about an hour and I cannot be late." With a nod, they both streaked once more away. Running across the Ocean Salt water effortlessly. Though they both knew Izuku could go a lot faster if he needed to or wanted to. It took about ten or twelve minutes and once they reached the Coastline, they decelerated to a more moderate speed. Once back home at the Dorms, Izuku streaked into his room and Mathew into what was now his.
The Date:
"This is awesome." Mina commented as she rode on Izuku's back. When he suggested that they go for Chinese Food for Lunch. Mina was not really expecting that her Boyfriend would run them to China. She found when he ran on water to be amazing and to be able to not only do that. But to go just about anywhere in the matter of a few minutes. Though he was only running fast enough to keep from actually sinking into the Water. Not wanting her to be hit by the stresses of going full out or any faster.
"We should be there in about another twenty minutes. How are you doing?" Izuku asked with concern and Mina tightened her hold onto him.
"Great. The barrier that Mei Hatsume made is working perfectly. I barely feel the breeze." Mina replied looking at the Plexi-Plastic barrier that Izuku had strapped onto his shoulders that put a curved triangular shield in front of anyone he carried behind him. Such as Mina. She could easily see out in front of her as they zipped along. He still could not go full speed, but now he did not have to worry about the stressors either hurting Mina or shredding her clothes off. She smiled at him. "Like to know there Izzy...What else do you have planned today for our Date?" Izuku smiled back at her.
"Not telling. I want this date to be special. Though just being with you is special enough for me." Izuku said and Mina pouted slightly.
"Sappy. Lucky for you...I adore sappy." Mina said and she smirked. "Any chance that means tonight you will be sneaking into my room?" She asked and Izuku almost tripped on a small wave. While he blushed a bright shade of red. She chuckled. "Come on Izzy...we have done that quite a bit lately. Where we spend the night together. Though the other day in the Closet...it was barely noon." Again Izuku blushed with embarrassment. He was not used to hearing or knowing that Mina liked that part of their relationship that they now did more often then not. Though he really liked sleeping at night with her. She would cuddle and snuggle against him all night long. Which was in a word. Wonderful. Something he never wanted to end.
"I do not have any...I ran out last night and...I have been too embarrassed to go...and get anymore." Izuku said stammering slightly and Mina chuckled again.
"That is alright...I got plenty of those certain things in my room." Mina told him and Izuku swallowed heavily with a gulp. "So...you are spending the night tonight and we are going to...you know." She told him and he blushed even more.
"Oh look there is China." Izuku quickly said hoping to change the subject. Eating at a place called simply CHANG's. The young couple each picked up a fortune cookie. "You know Fortune Cookies are actually something added from the United States." He told her feeling a bit nervous as they both cracked their respective Cookies open.
"I know...But who cares. Let's see mine says...The love of your life is right in front of your eyes. Oh that is a good one because it is true." Mina said smiling fondly at Izuku and even winked at him. He blushed again. "What does yours say?" She asked him and he looked at his own.
"Uhm...I think I got a dud..it is so wierd." Izuku said sheepishly and Mina reached forward and took the small piece of paper out of his hand. She smiled at him.
"You might be right..."This just a fortune cookie..It can't tell the real Future." Mina handed it back to him and they both laughed.
"Only you could get something like that." Mina commented and crumbled up his Fortune tossing it into the nearby ashtray. Leaving the Restaurant, they held hands and both were smiling happily at each other. Until they were almost ran over by a middle aged man.
"Someone call the Fire Rescue...those Apartments over there are on Fire!" The Man in panic said into the Restaurant as he rushed inside to make sure someone called them. Izuku looked off towards where the Man had indicated. Then back at Mina. She rolled her yellow eyes and then nodded.
"Go ahead...Just be careful okay." Mina told him and Izuku smiled at her.
"Be back in a..." Before Izuku could use his new catchphrase. Mina placed her right index finger onto his lips.
"Don't say it." Mina said sternly and Izuku chuckled as he let go of her left hand. Then before he blurred away.
"In a FLASH." Izuku said it and Mina groaned audibly.
"GAAHHH...I hate when he says that. It sounds so...Corny. But please be careful Izzy." Mina said as she looked at the Burning Building. Reaching the Apartment Building, Izuku prioritized what he needed to do within a second. Streaking to each Apartment Door, he vibrated himself inside each one and checked to make sure there was no one there. Vibrating himself then into the next Apartment. When he found someone, he sped them outside along with any Pets within. All the residents could tell was one second or actually a quarter second they were inside their Apartment and the next they were out on the street. It took him less then five minutes to do that for all fifty eight Apartments. The problem with him doing that was that it wore him out some when he vibrated his Molecules that much. So after a twenty two second breather. The next thing he did was use whatever Fire Extinguishers he could find to contain the Fire until the Local Fire Corps could arrive. he had considered creating a vortex around the Building and basically sucking the Flames out. But the collateral damage would be too excessive. So he did what he could with the Fire Extinguishers and by the time the Corps arrived they were able to put out the fire within an hour. Speeding back to Mina, he slumped with his hands on his knees partially out of breath.
"Phew...I am starving." Izuku said to Mina as he caught his breath. Going back inside the Restaurant, Izuku sat at the table and looked once more at the Menu. The Waiter from earlier approached along with the Owner.
"Order whatever and how much you want young man...It is on me." The Owner announced with a smile.
"Thank you." Mina said to the Owner. As Izuku began to order.
"No it I and those here that need to thank him...A lot of us have family and friends that live there. So like I said...it is on me." The Owner said and then watched with delight as Izuku ate as much as Eight people could.
An hour later Izuku ran once more with Mina on his back. "I noticed you skipped the Fortune Cookie this time." She said to him and Izuku chuckled.
"Not taking any chances on getting another weird one." Izuku said as he ran across the open water of the Ocean. "How much trouble do you think I am going to be in when Mister Aiwaza finds out what I did?" He asked back and Mina chuckled.
"A lot. Especially since we just all got our Provisional Licenses." Mina replied though she was not too worried about what Aiwaza would say or what punishment he would bestow upon Izuku. She did worry that once more the Press and Media would continue to suggest that Izuku should be just licensed as a full fledged Hero and have him no longer attend UA. In her mind she selfishly did not want him to do that. She liked seeing him everyday and if he did get Licensed then at most she would get to see him on Weekends at most. "So...Now what else do you have planned for our date?" She asked with keen interest and he turned his head then smirked.
"Well after we get to UA...Change into something more Casual...Then I will show you." Izuku told her and then reduced his speed as his feet once more hit dry land of Japan. Immediately heading towards the UA Campus and their Dormitory. Where they both changed their clothes in their respective rooms. Now standing outside the Main Doors to the Dorms. He waited for Mina to join him and when she did he gasped. "MINA...That is no way Casual!" He said as he stared at her. Mina smiled mischievously.
"Sure it is." Mina said and then stepped closer. "What you do not like?" She asked him as he stared at her wide eyed. He shook his head.
"I am not saying that. I would never say that." Izuku replied as he looked over what she was wearing. Mina had elected to go with a modified casual attire. She had a Blue and white striped knee length skirt with a matching V-Neck no sleeve blouse. Which showed a great deal of her pink cleavage. What more it was almost skin tight. She stepped closer and put her forearms over his shoulders. Drawing him closer to her. She pecked him on the lips and then fully kissed him. Parting slightly they placed their foreheads against each other. "You are so beautiful...Mina." He whispered and Mina smiled warmly at him.
"Can we forget about whatever you had planned and perhaps do it tomorrow? Right now I really would like my Boyfriend that I really love to come up to my Room and spend the rest of the day and night with me." Mina whispered back and reached down to take both of his hands in hers.
"I guess. Since all I had planned was for us to go to a Movie." Izuku replied and let her lead back inside, up the stairs and straight to her Room. Once inside she locked the door and turned on the Radio. She knew about Kyoko having the habit of listening in on some of the others including her and Izuku. So she did not want her friend to be able to overhear what they were going to do for the rest of the day and a couple times tonight.
Training Problems:
Aiwaza was stumped on what Hero Training he could assign two Speedsters. All he could think of was to have them continue to practice with their abilities and try to discover new ways to use their speed. Having no real clue what the Speed Force was or how it was humanly possible for either of them to vibrate their molecules to pass through solid objects. Or be able to create speed turbines that to him looked like Tornado's. As for the others he just went with the normal curriculum that had worked for him from the past. Though he did have another problem with one of the Speedsters. In the form of that Izuku Midoriya and Mina Ashido being a couple. It sort of motivated the others in the Class to want to be in a similar relationship with each other. He knew Teenagers would be Teenagers. Still he frowned upon that type of interaction between his students. That was all he could actually do. He could not outwardly stop them or even order them to no longer be a couple. Mainly due to that Principle Nezu had changed the rules about francization between Students on UA Campus Grounds. To that it being allowed as long as the PDA was not overly conducted. Though what really made it difficult for him to cope with was that an extremely popular TEEN Magazine was really focused on the budding relationship between the two Teenagers. Pictures, Articles and to his dismay there on his desk was a request from the Magazine to interview the two Teenagers. Of course to his frustration, Principle Nezu and Nemuri Kayama were agreeable to allowing the interview believing it would really provide some much needed positive public relations. To him though it was not something he believed should be acceptable. Then he remembered a conversation when he suggested that the two end their Relationship and had to wonder what Izuku Midoryia had meant about the future cannot be changed. Or rather should not be altered. That confused him. So he asked the young man to elaborate. The boy's answer really confused him until he remembered how Zane had come back to alter the future and then it made partial sense. "That is enough for today." He said ending his musings and thoughts as he had the entire Class 1-A stop their training. He had not really paid much attention to any of them as he stood there and from what he could tell. All of them had worked hard. Walking back inside he glanced over and notice the two Teenagers were idly talking. From what he could overhear. They were discussing possible double date plans with Momo Yaoyorozu and Mathew Midoriya. "CRAP! Another two that I need to stress over." he muttered and sullenly made his way inside the Main Building desperately needing to take a nap.
What Aiwaza did not know was that after Mathew had asked Momo out. The two went and almost begged Izuku and Mina to accompany them on their date. For neither had any idea what it meant to go on an actual date with the opposite sex.
Trouble Happens:
"STAND STILL!" Muscular roared as he once again tried to hit Izuku Midoriya. While his two cohorts attempted to somehow end the other Speedster that was zipping around them. He had come up with the idea of robbing the Bank that they had just come out of and now everything was going in his mind completely wrong. Glancing over he watched as his cohort Himiko Toga slash with one of her knives where the other once was and completely miss. He knew she had come along with the promise of just creating mayhem and slaughter. Not for the Money that when they came out of the Bank, vanished right out of his grip. Bag and all.
"This has gone all wrong." Dabi stated firing another blast of his Blue Fire and the young Man easily avoided. Muscular just could not understand how someone could move so fast and so easily avoid his blows. What was really angering him was that the two blurry children that seemed to speed around them effortlessly were having a conversation that did not even involve the fight they were in. Roaring again, he slammed his fist where the one was a second ago and missed.
"This is not what I would call a good start of my first date with Momo." Mathew commented, ducking in a blink of an eye and avoiding Toga's knife slash easily. He then pushed her which resulted in her stumbling backwards into Dabi.
"Well blame these morons...I thought going to the Mall across the street would be a good place for you and Momo to have your first date." Izuku said glancing over in a one hundredth of a second to make sure both Mina and Momo were dealing with crowd control and keeping the civilians out of harms way. When the four of them stumbled upon the Bank Robbery by Muscular, Dabi and Toga. It took a few minutes to convince Mina and Momo to let he and Mathew deal with them. Thankfully the two girls had to agree that they basically did not stand much of a chance against all three of the villains. So that left them keeping the Civilians safe and doing Crowd Control until the Police and Pro Heroes arrived. "When we get done with there idiots...then instead how about we go somewhere else." He said as he again avoided Muscular's blow. Then grabbed the Sinewy arm of the brute and spun around so fast that Muscular turned in a whirling blur. Izuku released him and the Villain flew a good twenty meters. Slamming into and through a brick wall. The huge man roared as he got up and charged once more at Izuku. With a simple side step, he tripped Muscular and the other fell onto his chest and face with a thud.
"I AM GOING TO RIP YOU APART!" Muscular roared in anger. Izuku shook his head. He could not believe how stupid these Villains were, not to realize that he and Mathew were just keeping them occupied until some Pro Heroes arrived. Legally that was all the Provisional License allowed them to do. It took a good five minutes before Dabi figured it out.
"Crap! They are just messing with us. Keeping us here until...some Heroes get here." Dabi said as he glanced about and then Toga also realized what the two Speedsters had been doing. She also realized that at any time the one she and Dabi were attempting to kill could have easily defeated and subdued them without any real effort.
"We need to get the fuck out of here before they do get here." Toga stated and was about to but someone had tied her shoes strings together. She snarled with embarrassment as she almost tripped on them.
"None of you are going anywhere. Now how about being a good Psycho and just surrender." Mathew said as he sped around the two. He quickly looked over towards his ancestor and watched briefly as Izuku repeated the maneuver he did earlier. Spinning the large Muscular around himself and then releasing to slam the brute into another Concrete Wall. Though this time face first. "You know Gramp...Izuku I really would rather continue my Date with Momo then deal with these idiots. Can we just finish this and then hope we don't get into trouble later?" He asked and Izuku shrugged.
"I am more worried about getting into trouble with Mina. She does not like it when I do something dangerous or in her mind stupidly foolish. But sure. Go ahead and tie those two up and I will deal with this big moron." Izuku said back and Muscular started to laugh.
"You may be able to avoid me...But I fought against Almight. I doubt you could do anything to take me dowwwwwww..." Before Muscular could finish, the boy grabbed him and partially picked him up. Then all he felt was the sudden acceleration and severe gust of breeze against him for about a good minute. He had blinked several times and when he finally could see other then the blurs passing him by. He stared about wide eyed. "Where the fuck...?" He glanced about to find himself on a small island surrounded by Ocean and there about fifteen feet away was the boy who was smiling with his arms crossed in front of his chest.
"There are plenty of coconuts over there and someone should come retrieve you sooner or later." Izuku said still smiling and then he stopped. "I would suggest you not try to fight me again...For next time I will drop you off on either the North or South Pole." With that he sped away and left Muscular completely dumbfounded as he depowered. Getting back to the scene, Izuku found that Mathew had successfully tied up Himiko Toga and Dabi in several hundred feet of rope he had borrowed from a nearby Hardware store. The two appeared to look like a huge ball of yarn with them within the Yellow Corded Rope.
"You know no one can say that our first date is not memorable." Momo commented as she and Mina approached.
"Sometime let me tell you about me and Izzy's first date. It was just as memorable." Mina said as she took hold of Izuku's left hand in her right. "It involved armed terrorists and a series of Movies that we have only been able to see half of them." She smiled and then several Police Cars arrived and a few Pro Heroes. It took about half an hour to explain what happened, where Muscular would be waiting for someone to arrest him and who was tied up in what appeared to be a huge ball of yarn. Then the four were on their way to continue the double date. Not really concerned about the lecture they probably would get from Aiwaza, Nemuri or both later.
